      "body": "<div class =\"text-justify\">\n\n## <center> ENVIRONMENT AND THE CHILD </center> ##\n<br>\nEvery child born into this world is born into a place called environment. None exist in a vacuum or space. This has a very big role to play in  the belief system,  the thought pattern, behaviour, character and sometimes the entire make up of this child. I am not disputing the fact that heredity also plays a key role in individuals  (To this we have little or no control) but what I am going to concentrate on today, is the effects (both positive and negative) that environments have on our children. Before then, the question is does environment has any influence on a child? Let's dive into the the matter and explore.\n### TYPES  OF ENVIRONMENT ###\nWe have the social, the physical and the spiritual environments.\n\nThe physical environment comprises all the things visible to human (both natural and artificial). The natural environment comprises the trees, the water bodies, landscapes and vegetations. While the artificial physical environment are those things made by man such as, the industries/ factories, houses, etc. The social environment has to do with group of individuals coming together to pursue a common goal such as family, peer group, clubs etc. And the spiritual environment talks about the belief system such as religion and traditions.\nNow all these factors come together to shape and reshape a child into the adult he will become.\n\n### THE SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT ###\n\n![IMG_20230124_125354_914.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmRxC6qn9Gww9KT6nrNa4h9FxAAxtvDeuMaMkgZ6gqs9tx/IMG_20230124_125354_914.jpg)\n\nThis is where a child;\n1. learns how to greet the elders at home before starting school.\n2. learns basic toilet skills.\n3.learns to appreciate and also expects to be appreciated.\n4. learns how to read and write from the teacher.\n5. learns how to recite poems and some basic body movements.\nThese are also means through which societal norms and practices are passed from one generation to another.\n### NEGATIVE INFLUENCES OF ENVIRONMENT TO A CHILD ###\n\n![IMG_20230124_124959_518.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmXFsxXnE84DWRn9Netm1BaQEAEJb8upDm7gyJMTs5DDT1/IMG_20230124_124959_518.jpg)\n\n There are some ills and vices which a child is exposed to in the  environment. And we wonder where they learnt them from, sometimes their parent don't have a trace of these characters in them. Who thought them? The answer is \"Environment\"? \nDoes environment has a board, does it has cane to punish or compel defaulters to comply? What magic does it perform? These are some hard nuts to crack. The bottom line is you and I are the environment, our lives are encyclopedia of acts and actions that this innocent ones consciously and unconsciously imitate, they watch and Keenly study our every action , they follow our footsteps even when we don't ask them to. Introduced by @manuelhooks\n\n## <center> INTRODUCTION </center> ##\n<br>\nHi everyone, its nice to meet you all in the steemit platform. In this post, I will be introducing myself. \n\nMy name is Inemesit Bernard Ekong,  I am a young woman in my late 20s. I was born and raised in  a middle-class family in Akwa Ibom state. I am the first child in a family of five. I just concluded my youth service program  in Ekiti state, Nigeria, where I  answered the  clarion call to serve my father land. (It was such a wonderful time, I hope to  talk more about it in some future post)\n\n### AREA OF STUDY AND WORK ###\nI had my primary school and high school education in Akwa ibom State, Nigeria. I then studied French / Computer Science in College of Education, and had an NCE certification, still craving for more knowledge, I proceeded to the University of Uyo where I had my first degree (B.ED), and graduated with a good result as well. I have been teaching for over six years, and I Love teaching, I guess that makes me a teacher. I have attended lots of seminars, and read wide to broaden the scope of my knowledege in the profession; the trainings has  sharpened my skills a  lot in this field.\nPresently, I am teaching French in one of the most highly recognized schools in my  state. I so much dream of owning  a school someday; because I have worked in several private schools and gathered enough knowledge and experience to help me run a well equipped and standard school with student graduating with enterpreneural skills (story for another day).\n\n### MY HOBBIES AND PASSION ###\nI love cooking. In fact, cooking is part of me and that was enough to describe me as a cook. Sometimes I even volunteer to cook for everyone in the family house where i reside in Ekiti, and these guys are always happy whenever I am in the kitchen. As related to my profesion, I love reading, teaching and learning new things. Despite my busy schedule, I try as much as I can to read at least a paragraph of text before going to bed. I also enjoy listening to varieties of well written novels  I love singing as well; whenever I am around, be rest assured of good music filtering into the atmosphere\n\n### VENTURING INTO CRYPTO  ###\nAs earlier mentioned,  I love  to learn new things, I heard about Crypto and have  started learning about it. Though it is a complete new package for me, I have a good coach who is willing to teach and brush me up, till I can stand alone, kudos to my teacher, I hope I will learn faster than I thought.  I love every bit of it. However, I know that the more I learn about crypto, the more  my knowledge and understanding about it will be widen.\n\n### My DISLIKES ###\nI hate lies, dishonesty and pride. I always crave for a situation where I can trust everyone and take them for their words but lies makes it impossible, and dishonesty adds to it, making it worst. I also love to be simple but proud people makes being simple look weak.\n\n### My area of interest ### \nI will like to see whatever material they post, ranging, from education, life, work, career motivation, personal experiences, entertainment, culture, crypto, social media, sports etc. \n\nl will be creating posts about my life experience, fictional stories, poems, area of work, culture, entrepreneur, family news, my country etc.,  hobbies and passion and whatever catches my fancy because I like exploring new opportunities.\n\n### How I found this platform ### \nI found steemit through my friend @manuelhooks. He was my colleague and he is really a pro in the digital world. Anything from him is sure and worth trying.
