Here's the English translation of the poem:\n\n\"Today, too, the burning of my thoughts is alive\nThe ancient tradition of my speech is alive\nToday, too, the restlessness of rebellion against\nThe unholy traditions of tyranny is alive in my heart\n\nI am a rebel against tyranny, oppression, and exploitation\nI am a rebel for the power of humanity's creation.\"\n\nThe poem expresses the poet's continued passion for social justice and his determination to resist oppression and tyranny.\n\n\nجہل پروردہ یہ قدریں یہ نرالے قانون\nظلم-و-عدوان کی ٹکسال میں ڈھالے قانون\nتشنگی نفس کے جزبوں کی بجھانے کے لئے\nنو انساں کے بنائے ہوئے کالے قانون\n\nThis is a stanza from the poem \"Qalm\" written by Faiz Ahmed Faiz. Here's the English translation of the stanza:\n\n\"Ignorant nurtured, these laws, this abnormality,\nLaws that shield tyranny and aggression.\nBlack laws that were made to quench the thirst\nOf the emotions of a new being.\"\n\nThe poem \"Qalm\" is one of Faiz's most powerful and influential works. It is a scathing critique of the military dictatorship in Pakistan in the 1950s and 1960s and the abuse of power and violations of human rights that were rampant during that time.
