      "body": "I love crypto, I think the technology is amazing. Satoshi, has given the World a brilliant gift blockchains. But due to human greed, over promises, the market popped. Failed ICOs, over priced technology that didn't exist. We all followed and believed then got greedy. \n\nWe already know what a Bubble feels like and now fast forward almost 1 year, we have now experienced, what a bear market is. \n\nUs amateurs have been able to become professionals, through first hand experience. \n\nWe also collectively know of the strong fundamentals that have been building. I.e Nasdaq backed exchange, OTC counters with Billions of daily volume, and eventually a ETF. From University Funds now entering publicly, and technology actually maturing . The fundamentals are bullish.\n\nBut there are some nay-Sayers. Such as Nouriel Roubini, but personally I think he was not taken seriously by the Senate Committee - By their tact and questioning, they saw through the rant of his little understanding. And were more interested in the benefits and its technology. \n\nBut like Bitfinnex'ed on twitter, they do have a point about Tether.  \n\nWe all know about the supposed Tether Bomb- how do we react with the accompanying FUD, rumours and vague responses by Bitfinex. It may be them bank hopping, and finding it difficult for them to service fiat, but with no clear audit,  we can see some weaknesses. Unlike that of newer stable coins, which are finding this easy to achieve.  \n\nWe also know that USDT premium has grown for over a week or so. Here are my personal recordings of highest difference per day: \n\n03.10.2018\t-$43.97\n04.10.2018\t-$56.54\n05.10.2018\t-$58.78\n10.10.2018\t-$91\n14.10.2018\t-$147.11\n\nCurrently as of 8:22pm UK Time it is now $164.85\n\nBitfinex's Cold wallet is still decreasing. https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin/wallet/Bitfinex-coldwallet\n\n![BTC.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmQ9ieVrXK6P68ukdp8GtzijEtcW5saNaZv25Tf1sMzb8S/BTC.jpg)\n\nJust under 27,000 BTC since 1st October 2018. That is $168 million in two weeks.  -16.38% drop in their BTC wallets. \n\nI even looked at previous months. And up until September 7th, the wallet count was increasing - reaching a maximum amount of 226,204 BTC. But since then, there has been 88,500 BTC removed. Which would be a 39.12% drop in only 2 Months. \n\nAs wise investors, we would not overlook such red flags and we should have an accompanying strategy to deal with this. \n\n*So what could we do?*\n\nOne idea is actually shorting USDT. Risk wise, at current prices 1 USDT to $0.975. About 2.5% Loss if the bet went wrong. As it is capped by its \"peg\".\n\nI.e for every $1000, the loss is $25, if Tether does come out with official banking or legitimate industry standard audit. \n\nBut if Tether does turn out not to have banking and trust capitulates. Tether could crash into double figures. And from a premium currently being created, it will distort crypto-currency prices.  Causing confusion and likely causing price panic. Compare Coinbase to Binance and you will see there is already a $150 between BTC prices. \n\nBut the fundamentals apart from this issue are very strong, so any dip may correct just as fast. Or Tether dies slowly and other Stable coins take over the market, with crypto prices unaffected. \n\nI don't confess to understand and give every way to protect yourself - I am not a financial adviser. But I have been exploring shorting Tether, which can be done via Kraken. Keep some BTC on it and then short USDT. It may not be perfect, but if Tether bomb actually goes off, at least your insured.",

Eugene Sullivan, who is in the board of advisors of Noble Bank, also happens to be the senior partner at Freeh Sporkin & Sullivan, a legal consultancy which served as auditors to Tether and Noble Bank. So how can you leave your own bank, where do the funds go to? \n\n**Or are the funds just frozen?**\n\nAccording to Noble Bank themselves, \"NBI is a non-fractional reserve bank. It only confirms that on that date USD was in two bank accounts that seem to cover USDT tokens in the market place. But the banks were not named and the Law firm is not an accountant, and did not follow compliant methods of a typical audit. \n\nhttps://www.coindesk.com/tether-review-claims-crypto-asset-fully-backed-theres-catch/\n\n**So what happens if Noble Bank go bankrupt?** \n\nPanic may ensue due to the lack of comments and transparency from Tether and Bitfinex. Causing traders/investors to flee to Crypto on Tether only exchanges, and then exiting to Fiat on other exchanges. Eventually causing inflated crypto prices to USDT then a price dip. \n\nBut this may be short lived and is not clear at the moment. It all depends, on **BNY Mellon** (One of the biggest banks in the world) if they decide to announce that they have the Tether backed assets and that regulatory restrains restricted them from announcing this earlier or that they don't. \n\nEither way, Noble seem to have a short life span ahead of them, especially as they are seeking a buyer, just at cost of a banking license. \n\nAnd if no clear message is sent to the market, fear and panic are likely outcomes. Kind of a perfect storm for institutions. I.e Market dips due to lack of information. Institutions then buy as they may know more information on BNY Mellon's assets. Then BNY Mellon step in and confirm that they have these assets, then price rebounds. But only after the Retail market is punished one more time. \n\nNote this is merely my opinion and would love for more clarification from the market. What do you think?",

Both the UK and Singapore have pursued Fintech innovation as strategically important for their economies. Developments pertaining to Fintech, including supervisory tech (Suptech or Regtech), cyber-security, as well as the hot topic of cryptocurrencies were on the agenda.\"\n\nBut lets look into this further:\n\nSingapore seems to be pro-cryptocurrency, with welcoming many crypto related businesses like Binance.com and Crypto.com.\n\nThere was also the recent announcement from The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and Singapore Exchange having announced partnerships with partner Anquan, Deloitte and Nasdaq that will “allow financial institutions and corporate investors to carry out simultaneous exchange and final settlement of tokenized digital currencies and securities assets.”\n\nWe know that Deloitte are already heavily involved in many blockchain projects and add that Nasdaq are planning to launch Bakkt, a global trading system for digital assets, the news from Singapore is quite optimistic. With an expectation that this would have had a positive affect on the UK meeting.\n\nOn the other-hand, the UK's announcements on cryptocurrencies. Who so far have been keeping their cards close to their chest, i.e Lord Bates, Minister of State at the Department for International Development having stated:\n\n“The Government has not made a formal assessment of any potential implications of recent changes in the value of cryptocurrencies. However, the Government continues to monitor developments in the cryptocurrency market”.\n\nAlso on the 11th September, UK regulator's chief executive, Andrew Bailey stated\n\n\"The impact of ‘technological change and innovation’ is one among them and the regulator is taking a measured approach to “firmly” support innovation while countering the threats they may pose\"\n\nAndrew Bailey seems to suggest a balanced but positive approach for cryptocurrency regulations.       "body": "I have been trying to find out where we are in the market, with so much good news and higher amounts of investment in the crypto industry than there has ever been, why is the marketcap so low at the moment? Where are we in the market cycle?\n\nI do not claim to know where we are, but I know that there are companies that study cycles for a living. \n\nAn example is Abbott Futures. They have published a PDF called The four most reliable technical indicators. The document looks at triple bottoms mainly, but since the BTC market is currently in this cycle, it is worth looking into. \n\nYou can take a look at the [document](http://www.abbottfutures.com/assets/ADMIS_technical_indicators_2013_edited-1.pdf)  yourself, but I have extracted parts that I think are worth summarising:\n\n*\"Traditional charting techniques tell us that it is a good idea to buy on a retest of multiple bottoms and sell on a retest of an area of multiple tops. After all, it appears only logical, but often wrong, that if these areas held in the past, they should be able to hold in the future. \"*\n\n*\"According to traditional thinking, a protective sell stop is then placed just below the multiple low levels or a protective buy stop is placed a little above the highs of the multiple top area. \"*\n\nBasically this implies that traders, often protect from losses, by placing stops just below a strong support. Thus, it can be implied that most traders will have a similar protection in place. \n\n*\" In fact, it is more likely that a quadruple bottom will be penetrated on the downside rather than the double bottom or the triple bottom, since the more times a particular area of support has held in the past, the more likely there will be a large accumulation of sell stops just under the lows. The inverse is true for quadruple top patterns.\"*\n\nBasically this is the scenario we have, in BTC. Currently we should expect traders to set up stop losses under $6000, $5800 and perhaps $5500. Since we have seen $5800, it is likely there is an accumulation of sell stops below this level. \n\n*\"Very often it is only after a clear and obvious area of “rock solid” support or resistance is taken out that futures can reverse after an extended move in either direction. A market often will bottom after the very last and often the “best” chart support area has been taken out and the chart pattern looks horrendous.       "body": "## Cheat Sheet\n\nThe stock market cheat sheet is diagram of market psychology. The most common online seems to be an Illuminati inspired graph. Regardless the information contained within is considered by established investment firms. \n\nA good example cited from [Russell Investments!](https://russellinvestments.com/ca/insights/the-market-cycle-of-emotions) gives a good rational explanation over 4 stages. \n\n- Stage 1: Optimism, thrill and euphoria\n- Stage 2: Complacency, denial, hope\n- Stage 3: Panic, capitulation, despondency\n- Stage 4: Scepticism, caution, worry\n\n## Double Checking Other Markets\n\nIn the Dot-Com boom from 1997 to 2001 then subsequent bust, showed a very similar pattern. Psychology in this market seems to also follow the cheat sheet. Weighing on 60% that we were at the green arrow location. \n\nThe blue arrow, considered a 40% weight on dipping to $5000 to $5800, but I was in opinion, that we already hit the triple bottom. It seemed checking the same graph today 16th July, we are some what close to the blue line's estimated position. \n\nIf this was to follow true, we should be in for 1 or 2 more major resistances at $6800, before really breaking out. Dependent on your perspective, this seems to be a market with larges amount of momentum and the volatility shows this. \n\nLife is not exactly like the stock market cheat sheet though, so variations are expected. But looking at the fundamentals of the market too, for example Bit Licenses, possible ETFs, Custodian services and more.
