Some things start to increase in value as they become antiques.\n\nApple programs planned obsolescence into the iPhone. This creates a predictable life cycle. New iPhones are expensive. They depreciate quickly. A two year old iPhone trades for a third the price of a new phone. Sadly an eight year old phone no longer works.\n\nFurniture is interesting. Most furniture sold in the store these days is garbage which will probably break within a decade.       "body": "When we talk about fairly used products to my own understanding, we're referring to items that have already been owned or used by someone else but are still in good condition and can be resold. Who wouldn’t want something fresh, unused, and guaranteed to work perfectly?\n\n**But have I ever been in a position where I had to choose between a fairly used product and a brand new one?** \nHmm… Actually, yes. Though, it wasn’t exactly a conscious decision. I was in a tight spot I needed a phone, and the only option I had at the time was a fairly used one at home. It wasn’t like I had the luxury of choosing a brand new phone. I had to make do with what was available.\n\n**But if I had the chance to decide freely, I’d definitely go for a brand new product**\nLet’s use iPhones as an example , they’re probably the most commonly bought fairly used products in the market right now. Yes, brand new iPhones are expensive.
