I almost prayed my creation should be reversed, so I won't have to be even be in the discussion in the first instance. Funny!\n\nIn the midst of all these, my mind was on repeat mode; \"Dude, you are here now, and you will be for a while. What you want cannot be undone except you die.\"\n\nOh wow! Interesting! \"I am very sure ain't ready to die man, so shut it!\" My other half of the mind retorted.\n\nWhat needs to be done? What?\nWhat is this life all about in the first place? Why must we all be here, doing the things we are doing?\n\nThen in a still small voice, it resonated, \"Live in the Now. Enjoy!\"\n\nAt this point I understood. The whole point is that all these sometimes, have no end, like a rat race, we keep going.\n\nSomething that never changes is our yearn for purpose fulfillment and wealth and all whatnots. \n\nBut we can alter all these rules by doing just one single thing and that is living in the NOW. Enjoying the moment and appreciating all things around; family, health, life, food, people, nature and everything.\n\nLife has a lot to offer, we may miss out on those great moments when we busy ourselves with life's activities.\n\nThe only way we can navigate this  life with less headaches is to live in the moment. \n\nYou owe it to no one but yourself!",

Majority of the times, we only seem to equate success with money. In this part of the clime, the bigger the car you drive, the more people perceive you as being successful. It is a default psyche most humans deliberately fight off.\n\nWhat parameters do we measure success on? \nWho calls the shots? \nWho made the rules?\nWhen do we say someone has truly succeeded?\n\nPERCEPTION!\n\nIt is a rat race, they say. Everyone keeps running; either away from something or to something.\n\nA race that has no end. The more you have, the more you want to have more.\n\nFirst, life and living is personal. Take it at your own pace and at your own time. You will have less to worry about.\n\nSecond is that no one made the rules. No One. It does not matter when you arrived. What matter is that you eventually did.\n\nHow far are you from success?\n\nYou are not far, neither are you close. Set your own success goals. \n\nIt could be losing 5 pounds per week, reading 50 pages a day consistently, jogging 5 kilometers every morning, anything.\nAbsolutely anything. \n\nWhen you achieve these goals, you have succeeded. You are a success - for that period. \n\nThen set another goal, and keep repeating the process.\n\nYou are never far away from success. It lives with you.",

Some people will tell you happiness is a state of the mind and in fact being happy in the little things counts more than the big ones.\n\nSome hit the jackpots and are only happy for a day. In the process of being joyous, they do things that they later regret, especially when too much booze is involved. Many times, some say they are trying to end their sorrow by taking a drink or two, only to have the forgetful moment being short-lived. \n\nThere is a natural human experiment I have tried out and it has worked over and over again. At times when I feel down and sad, times when those things that naturally excite, do not anymore, I pick myself up and instead of doing things for myself, I do for others. \n\nNow this is the trick, most times, I prefer to help those who I may never see again and I am sure they may never be able to repay. This is what brings me joy - their smiles. How much it means to them knowing their prayers just got answered by a random stranger. I have many fine memories of smiles in my photographic memory.\n\nMos times after doing this, directly or indirectly, I find my happiness back. Indeed, we rise by lifting others.",

Of course, my response was straight; \"what is steemit?\"\n\nHe has always known me to be the one who fiddles a lot with my pen. I remember how I used to always have a pen and note almost all of the times we were together. He  knew writing was a thing but definitely not his own thing. \n\nAnyway, he first laughed a little, after which he proceeded to give me heads up on what steemit was all about. Interesting!\nI began to wonder how I had not heard about it since last year, then I remember what they say about having the right information at the right time and may be making sure you have the right people too. \n\nI registered and got approval after about 4 days. One thing I love about the platform is how you can always write about anything and everything, just let it all out. Great platform.\n\nWhen I made the \"introduce yourself post\", I literally got tips about how to navigate and make good use of the platform to earn. Yea, some things are still hazy here and there but I believe with time, it will become clearer.\n\nOne thing is certain though, unlike some other platforms where you can express your thoughts, here, there is some sort of return for you. This factor makes it cooler. \n\nIt will take a while before fully grasping the other aspects aside the making money part and I am sure more improvements will be done as time goes on - maybe a steemit mobile app.  Great?",

      "body": "In this part of the divide, there are so many who still believe cultures and traditions need to be upheld no matter what.\n\nOn issues bordering on morals and values, they tend to kick in with; \"in the days of our fathers...\" not only to score points but to box you in a corner of guilt because respecting elders is a core value.\n\nDuring discussions on bride price, for example, so many still uphold the believe that paying bride price for a wife should remain sacred. On a certain platform last year, I remember making a post on how I won't be paying bride price to my father-in-law when I am getting married. So many almost had my head for dinner and they kept playing the music of traditions and cultures.\n\nWhile going above inherent cultures takes time, people are beginning to embrace some so called \"new school\" manner of thinking as opposed to what our Fathers believed in. It is simple. There are so many things our Fathers did not teach us, not because they had such information and refused to share, but they only had knowledge of what existed during their time. They could not see the future, perhaps they would have reconsidering some of their stance on issues.\n\nHence, it is only logical to embrace the current trends. While it is pertinent to err on the side of caution as liberalism,  sometimes is taken too far, we must always remember that there are so many things our Fathers did not teach us and there are so many other things we can embrace and still keep our morals and values in check.\n\nOur Fathers never used laptops or smartphones, perhaps they may have communicated better.  Just maybe their belief system would have changed. Maybe!",

      "body": "That's an awesome use for old car tires!\n\nWelcome to Steemit! It's got a steep learning curve, but it's worth it in the long run if you keep putting in the time! Just know that it will take quite a while before you start getting attention and followers. The secret to success? Keep posting high quality content regularly, and make sure to search out other people's posts, read them, and give relevant comments.\n\nTagging is extremely important. Always make sure to use all five possible tags, and to keep them relevant. You can always just tag something \"blog\" or \"photography\" or something else really general (so long as it's still relevant) to fill the quota if you need to- most of your tags should be established ones, though one or two less used ones are fine.\n\nPosting more than four times a day can reduce your potential rewards, as well as turning off potential users. (I aim for one post per day most of the time.) Consistency is important, though, so you should try to post often.\n\nAlways make sure to attach a photo to your posts! You should also have a finished profile: Write a description, add a profile picture and a banner- neither needs to be of you, necessarily, but you should have something- and set a website.\n\nThere are a lot of really good resources out there for minnows (new users). If you're interested in writing or reading about science, check these guys out!)\n@geopolis (A fairly new science curation group, this one's dedicated to the study of the Earth.)\n@ocd (A curation group that seeks out undervalued new writers.)\n\nAnd, again, the biggest thing is just patience. Breakout successes are incredibly rare on Steemit- you've got to find your way there through perseverance and hard work. My designs naturally exceeds client's expectations because I put my heart into it. Designing is fun to me.\n\nA content creator becomes writing comes naturally to me. I pick up my pen and there you have it - a story. Everything resonates with me - events, happenings, reality, life. I tend to always find a way to create a story even when there is none. Tell me there is no story there and watch me create one. Don't even snap at me because that right there is a story. \n\nAn environmentalist and an entrepreneur as a result of my passion for the planet. Well, if I decide not to care, who will?\nI believe in Climate change, unlike Trump. The signs are there, all in our faces. Floods, Hailstorms, Extreme heat, Wildfires, Ocean Surge, Wildlife extinction, Desert Encroachment,Drying up of lakes, etc. We cannot deny what is real and being felt on a daily basis. Our survival depends on us, we either take the bull by the horns or we watch our planet gradually slip away from us.\n\nI turn used car tires into affordable Ottoman seats and tables for households. Many seem to be convinced as to what to do with used car tires, so  I help those tires find life again. Perhaps some, more than others.\n\nWe often find ourselves in situations that are unpalatable, which sometimes makes us question our existence and the popular cliche; \"why do bad things happen to good people?\" comes to fore. When people make these statements, I tell them good and bad happens to us all. It is the reason we have day and light, sun and rain, black and white, male and female.\n\nJust like birth and death sits opposite each other. Good things will happen to us and definitely, we cannot miss out on the bad. Just like that - Life!\n\nThere is however a thought I have always tried to give answers to but all the time, evasive. \n\nIt's simple; \"Why do some humans find happiness in the predicament of others?\"\n\nI never used to worry about these things until life began to happen to some people. However, the issue was why some other humans began to laugh at, scorn and make jest of those in such situations. Have we lost our humanity?\n\nPeople often tend to forget that no one controls the next minute, the next second even. And within the twinkling of an eye, it can all come to nothing.\n\nPerhaps it is how they find joy. But who finds joy in the sorrows of others?\n\nThere may not be answer(s) to this question but what remains a fact is that everything is wrong with it. EVERYTHING.\n\nI may not get to finally understand but that is fine anyway. I can live with that. But what I cannot live with is people with such mindset. NEVER! \n\nTill the bright days become dark, till sunrise turns cold, Life will go on but one thing is sure, for everyone and everything in-between, there will be good and bad days. No one can escape it.\n\nThe Happiness of Negativity remains a mystery. To Me.",
