Having travelled to over 50 countries, it faced some stiff competition, but Vietnam is just such a wonderful place with exceptional people, food, culture and scenery; therefore, I’d highly advise everyone to take a trip there if they can! \n\nI’m sure if you’re reading this you’ve either booked your first trip to Vietnam or will soon be doing so. Firstly, you’ve made a great choice. You will love it! Secondly, there are some things you need to be aware of before travelling to Vietnam. Although I don’t want to alarm anyone (!), it is essential that you prepare correctly for your trip to avoid any mishaps or stress. \n\n\nhttps://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmUURJy2rVD5eC19YqFQSt2e5xHiuLYhGKt2SfdZ7pN37k/vietnam-4.png\n\n\n<h2>Travel Tips for Vietnam</h2>\n\nA few golden nuggets of advice...\n\n<h3>Getting a Visa</h3>\n\nIf you plan to stay in Vietnam for longer than 15 days, you’ll need to obtain a visa to do so. Getting a visa isn’t as straightforward as some countries and does involve a little legwork, but your life can be made easier by companies who can help you and make the process a little less tedious. Let’s talk through each step of the process:\n\n1) You must contact the Vietnam Embassy and ask them for a letter of admission. If you’re unsure how to do this, don’t worry - there are a multitude of online companies who can do this for you. I personally use: https://www.ultimatevietnam.com/vietnam-visa-on-arrival/\n2) Once your request has been submitted, you’ll receive your application within around a week. Once received, print it out, fill it in and attach a couple of new passport photos to it.\n3) Pack it in your hand luggage along with some US dollars (around $40 to be on the safe side). The visa process occurs before baggage collection, so make sure your visa application and cash are securely stored in your hand luggage. \n4) When you arrive at the airport in Vietnam, head straight to the visa application area immediately. If there’s one thing that’s guaranteed on your trip, it’s that there will be massive queues at the visa desk, so hot-footing it from your plane to the visa desk is advisable. It may take up to three hours to be seen, but typically it’s around an hour and a half. Patience will be required, which I know will be difficult after a long haul flight, but trust me - it’s worth it!\n\n<h3>Clothing</h3>\n\nAlthough what to wear when you’re in Vietnam may seem like an obvious thing, there are a few things you need to know (and pack) before heading off on your travels. The dress code in Vietnam is pretty laid back, with skirts, shorts, t-shirts and vests being clothing staples. However, if you are visiting temples or mosques, you must have adequate clothing, i.e. a big scarf for women to cover their heads and shoulders with, and trousers for men to wear. Plus, these will also come in handy on both planes and buses where the air conditioning can make it very cold indeed! We always advise having these options available to you at all times, i.e. carrying extras just in case you need them. \nTo give yourself a clearer picture of both the construction and implementation process, it is absolutely vital that you note down every step taken and modification made. In addition, if you ever need to troubleshoot or are ever tasked with designing another circuit that is similar, you can refer back to your notes.\n
\n<h3>3) Shortcuts are not needed</h3>\n
\nWhen designing a circuit, it is very easy to be tempted to use shortcuts and find simple and easy ways out problems, rather than creating extensive schematic or block diagrams with expansive notes and connectors. However, if you do take shortcuts, you will regret it later down the line for a variety of reasons. Although this piece won’t tell you everything you need to know about the game (the article would need to be at least 10,000 words to do that!), we have crammed in as much valuable information as we can about Avakin Life as we could into 600 words.\n\n<h2>Avakin Life: What is it?</h2>\n\nIn short, Avakin Life is a 3D virtual world game created, developed and published by Lockwood Publishing (Nottingham, UK). Like many other games in this genre, you create a character (also known as an avatar) and then proceed to guide them through the exciting rollercoaster that is (virtual) life. You can be who you want to be, wear what you want to wear, act how you want to act and live the life you want to live! The game is exceptionally customisable, giving your thousands upon thousands of options when it comes to every facet of virtual life. \n\nYou start by creating your own character - and the possibilities are endless. Do you want them to look like you? Do you want them to look like your favourite celebrity? Do you want them to be a physical embodiment of what you deem to be the perfect human specimen? No matter what type of avatar you want to create, you can do it. Hair, facial features, clothes, body etc…all of customisable and with so many options for each you’ll no doubt spend several hours perfecting your look!\n\nOnce you’ve finished making ‘you’, you can begin to interact with the virtual world that surrounds you. The most common way to do this is to meet other players - of which there are millions - through the online chat and messaging system. Although this means that it should be accessible to anyone who owns a mobile (cell) phone, there will, of course, be those who can’t play it. I believe there are plans to make this available on PC through different browsers, but I am not 100% sure if this will be followed through with - and if it is when it will happen. \n\nFrom looking at the reviews on both Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store, the feedback is overwhelmingly positive. The iOS version has nigh-on six-thousand reviews, with an average rating of 4.4/5 stars; whereas the Android version it has a whopping 1.7million reviews again at an average of 4.4.5 stars - that is some going! A game with getting on for two million reviews of over 4/5 stars is extremely impressive. But, are the reviews accurate? Is Avakin Life worth such a high rating? In our humble opinion, yes, it is more than worth it.
