Think of \"steem power\", for example. One of the few truly utility tokens, that is used only inside Steem platoforms to value content by a user (reader/viewer on dTube) and allow content producers to have a direct compensation, as the SteemPower can be exchanged on Steem into Steem-Dollars or the Steem currency itself, both listed on many exchanges.\n\n**Security** tokens are network external tokens, that offer payments of any(?) kind (revenue, profit, dividend, etc.) and/or get listed on central exchanges (the decentralized exchanges could be seen as an agglomeration of direct interactions between two private parties and therefore not really an exchange at all - I am sure they will pose an own heavy headache to regulators once they figure them out). Keeping with the Steem project - these would be the mentioned Steem token itself and Steem-dollar, although the latter was created to have a stable value to the USD, but ... well ... stable exchange rates in free and open markets are a headache for the founders (see Tether and all others).\n\n**Currency**: Native network tokens, that are generated on the specific network and traded everywhere.\n\n### Future things to clarify to & with regulators:\nAll tokens can be many things at the same time and/or in different times. At the same place and/or different places. **Markets, communities and developers can always change their and our perception of a token.**\n\n**Bitcoin was a currency. At the moment, it still is more of an asset** (although we all hope, Lightning will push it back to the currency level).\n\n**Ethereum** started as offer to invest by buying the tokens...so....well...a security (I know, the SEC just got its head around it, saying something different). Then Ethereum started to have its actual use case, being a utility needed to pay the computations of its virtual machine.\n\nThen, because of its amazing potential, the value of Ethereum rose and rose...because the markets figured that dApps, SmartContracts and ERC20 tokens would generate an ecosystem on Ethereum, that gave it great value.\n\n### So people invested in Ethereum to participate in an anticipated value increase (a security), while at the very same time, developers bought and used Ethereum for their projects - hence it was also a utility at the same time.\n\nBecause of what is happening since early 2017, I think, **security token need an own regulation, similar to the Crowd funding regulation**. Actually, at the moment it seems good to limit funds similarly and maybe allow exceptions for foundations with clear goals in technological and/or social/biz. We need progress and probably must help the greedy pack to understand how to invest in what...I wish it was different, but **2018 has clearly proven, there is no limit for the stupidity and evil of the greedy packs** - both scammy founders and filthy investors. If we cannot get rid of them, we may loose what we started this all for - decentralization, freedom and self-determination.\n\nI my view, we therefore now **need to stop acting as if the theoretically possible and needed innovations to come/forming** (closed, token economic loop from founders to investors to users, allowing a new way of interacting with each other) **is already the reality in practice.**\n\n### It is not. Actually now, in June 2018, it seems we took a couple of steps back from where this was going...and we need to turn around and get it back on track.\nI really fear, that \"bending reality\" in order to get an exception (e.g. this \"my ICO token is one with only a utility\" discussion) may lead to the complete opposite...but that's just me, myself & I. ;-)\n\n# Let's discuss and put things in order!",

      "body": "## Ich sitze im Zug und gegenüber von mir setzt sich Jemand.\n\n**Er** hat offensichtlich dieselbe “geographische Abstammung” wie ich, nur dass meine Eltern in den 60ern des letzten Jahrhunderts freiwillig eingewandert sind und er ein Flüchtling des Chaos ist.\n \n**Ich** schaue auf mein Handy, was es für Nachrichten gibt, **was ich Cooles/Gehaltvolles posten kann** und ärgere mich, dass ich **10 Minuten zu spät zu dem 0830 Termin** sein werde.\n \n**Er** hat einen Rucksack. **Er wühlt** in dem Rucksack. Er riecht sehr stark. Ich ertappe mich wie ich **Angst vor dem Rucksack** zu haben scheine. Aber als er 10 Minuten lang darin kramt, wird klar: **Der Rucksack ist sein Hab und Gut.** Zahnbürste, Zahnpasta, Duschgel, Klopapier, Nagelknipser holt er raus und betrachtet diese Dinge auf eine — eigentümliche Weise.\n \nMeine Angst weicht einer großen, einer unendlichen **Scham**. Was ist mit mir los? Könnte das nicht ich sein, könnten das nicht meine Kinder sein? Und was kann, was soll ich tun, um zu helfen. **Soll ich ihn ansprechen?** Ich habe doch gar **keine Zeit, bin eh schon zu spät für den 0830 Termin**, der auf vielerlei Hinsicht wichtig ist für die Aufgabe, die ich bei dem Startup habe…haben will…werde…wenn wir Investoren überzeugt haben…\n## Was ist gerecht? Was richtig? Was falsch? Das Hamsterrad duldtet keine Samariter.\n\nJetzt schaut er mich an — **ja die Scham treibt mich dazu, meine Gefühle und resultierenden Gedanken sofort nieder zu schreiben. Und er schaut mich mit einem sehr stechenden Blick an.**\n \n### Der Blick schmerzt. Er tut verdammt weh. Er schaut mich ohne Unterlass an. Er starrt mich an. Stehe ich auf?\n\nTue ich ihm dann auch weh? Wenig hat mir in meiner Kindheit mehr weh getan als dieses Aufstehen von Menschen, die einem mit dem Blick sagten, dass sie aufstehen, weil sie Angst haben oder Abneigung verspüren.\n### Angst vor dem Unbekannten — Abneigung vor dem anders Aussehenden.\n \nEr macht mir auch Angst. Weil ich weiß, welche unmenschlichen Situationen und apokalyptischen Kindheiten dieser nun **28 Jahre währende Bürgerkrieg** in der Heimat meiner Eltern angerichtet hat. Ich schätze, er ist zwischen 18 und 24. Ist er es, so hat er **nie Ordnung, Staat, Regierung, Gesetze kennen gelernt — nur Krieg**, das Recht des Stärkeren und unmenschliche Bilder überall. Zerstörte Städte, Trümmer und Wracks, Leichen und Invalide.\n \n**Er schaut weg. Was unterscheidet uns? Tüchtigkeit, Fleiß, Bildung — wohl kaum.**\n\n## Glück. Einfach nur dieses unverständliche Glück.\n“Die Gnade der räumlich und zeitlich glücklichen Geburt” — so oder so ähnlich hätte es Helmut K. wohl formuliert.\n \nAber es tut weh. Es ist jetzt ein innerer Schmerz, während er aus dem Regionalexpress aus dem Fenster schaut. \n### Mein Schmerz. Ich. Mir. Mein.\nIch bin kein Christ und gehöre keiner anderen “Buch”-Gemeinschaft an — dennoch empfinde ich wesentliche Aspekte vieler Religionen (insbesondere der überlieferten Aussagen der vermeintlichen Religionsstifter) als gleich. \n**Nächstenliebe im Christentum und die Pflicht des Muslimen jeden Tag den Bedürftigen zu Geben/Helfen — es ist dieselbe Absicht.** Und in beiden Religionen gehört es zum Katechismus…wenn auch kaum noch Menschen das zum Imperativ ihres Handelns erküren.\n \n### Die Anderen. Die Theorien. Außerhalb. Von mir. Alle Gedanken kreisen um draußen.\n \nEr schaut mich wieder an und greit an seine Tasche. Auch das macht mir wieder Angst. Die Angst beschämt mich wieder. \n### Ich könnte vor Wut und Trauer weinen! Würde gerne schreien, während ich diese Situation auszuhalten versuche.\n### Schreiben kann befreiend sein — es kann aber auch den Schmerz vertiefen. Ergründen und verstärken.\n\n**Ich** weiß nicht, ob ich ein schlechter Mensch bin. Ich weiß aber, dass ich mehr tun muss als nur zu reflektieren. Und doch muss ich zuerst meine Familie versorgen, für uns vorsorgen, dem Startup, in dem ich gerade bin, Investitionen besorgen helfen.\n \n*Ich* bin 10 Minuten zu spät zum Termin.\n \nEr sitzt immer noch da. Schaut mich wieder an. Ich glaube, er weiß, dass ich mit Anstrengung der Situation zu entfliehen versuche.\n \nMein Handy bimmelt. Eine Nachricht. Wahrscheinlich eine Reaktion auf meinen Tweet, den ich bedeutungsschwanger absetzte, bevor ich in den Zug stieg. Denke ich. Hoffe ich. \n### Ich. Ich. Mein Rating, mein Scoring, meine Follower, mein Netzwerk. Meine Reputation. Meine. Meine. Meine. \nVorletzte Haltestelle bevor ich am Ziel bin. Noch 10 Minuten.\nIch bin kein schlechter Mensch. Ich bin doch nur…ich versuche doch auch nur…\n### Bin doch aufgrund der Herkunft meiner Eltern nicht verpflichtet, oder bin ich das? \nIch bin hier geboren und aufgewachsen. Abgesehen von dem Aussehen und äußeren Merkmalen **bin ich ihm doch nicht näher als alle Anderen im Zug?**\nDer Schaffner kommt. Gut gelaunter Typ. \nHat er eine Karte? Was wird jetzt passieren? Drehe ich durch?\n\nKein Schaffner — irgendwie kam er nicht…\n\nLautes Telefonat in slawischer Sprache nebenan. Auch der andere Typ — der mit dem telefoniert wird, ist zu hören.\n\nDie Handy-Nachricht war kein Erfolg eines Tweets, sondern eine persönliche Nachricht meines Schwagers. Wann endlich mal alle WhatsApp und facebook löschen?\n## Egal, ob gut oder schlecht — manchmal ist es einfach unfassbar schwer, ein Mensch zu sein.\nEine dieser **Bullshit-Bingo-Powerpoint-Maschinen**, die ich so zu verachten gelernt habe, würde mit der Situation völlig anders umgegangen sein. Es hätte wahrscheinlich nichts in ihm ausgelöst. Oder?\n\n### Ich bin ein Mensch. Ich bin ein Subjekt des Wirtschaftskreislaufs. Ich. Ich.\nManchmal wünsche ich, ich wäre nicht. Nicht in suizider Art, sondern in grundsätzlich existenzieller Art. Was sollen all diese Schmerzen und Ängste? Wieso diese ewige Arbeit an uns selbst?\n \n## Ich bin ein Mensch. Ob gut oder schlecht, werden andere bewerten.\n \nFür ihn war ich heute ein zumindest abweisender Mensch. Wahrscheinlich ein schlechter Mensch. Ein Beispiel für die Kälte, die alle erfassen kann, die im Hamsterrad gefangen sind.\nIch. Die Anderen. Gründe. Ausflüchte?\nWas für ein Start in den Tag. Ich bin jetzt schon 5 Minuten zu spät zu dem Termin. Wahrscheinlich 15 Minuten zu spät im Büro.\n## 1 Stunde später.\n### Termin war so hippster wie das heute eben so ist. Alles Latte, Burnrate und Pitch. Und so.\n## Er.\n**Er** hatte im Zug noch gefragt, ob das ein Laptop sei.\n**Als ich ihm antwortete, lächelte er.**\nEr sprach mich in der Sprache meiner Eltern an. Ich antwortete. **Er lächelte.** \nIch stand auf und ging zur Tür…**verstört.**\n\nBin ich ein Freak, nagen Komplexe an mir, rede ich meine Ignoranz schön oder gar eine Kombination aus allem?\nWie groß ist das Universum der menschlichen Gedanken? Was hat er die 30 Minuten unserer gemeinsamen Zugfahrt gedacht? Was hatte er gesucht? Wovor hatte er Angst?\n## War sein Blick nicht einfach der Versuch, ein Gespräch aufzunehmen? \n \nIch bin ein Mensch. Nicht schlecht, nicht gut, sondern einfach nur das.\n## Ich hoffe, er findet ein gutes Leben — und ich den Mut und die Kraft mehr zu sein als ich heute bin.",

Die **Blockchain ist eine Zusammenfassung unterschiedlicher, bereits bekannter technologischer Komponenten**: verteilte Netzwerke, Verschlüsselungsverfahren (für Zugriff und Versand) und Prüfsummen (für Signaturen). \n\n2. Die **Blockchain entstand aus dem Versuch eine digitale Währung zu erschaffen** — den Bitcoin. \n\n3. In Ihrer Ursprungsanwendung (Bitcoin) ist die Blockchain **ein auf allen teilnehmenden Rechnern verteiltes Kassenbuch**, das eine **definierte Menge an Transaktionen in Blöcken zusammenfasst**, diese signiert und dabei jeweils die Signatur des vorigen Blockes beinhaltet. Diesem Bezug auf den jeweils vorigen Block verdanken wir das Bild der Kette. Blöcke. Kette. Blockchain.\n\n## Was bringt die Blockchain? (in der Theorie)\n### Unveränderlichkeit der Historie von Transaktionen:\nMit zunehmender Zeit (= zunehmende Anzahl der Blöcke) wird es mathematisch höchst unwahrscheinlich, dass heute verfügbare Computer in der Lage sind, Daten in der Blockchain nachträglich zu manipulieren (wegen den Prüfsummen in den Blöcken, die auch die Prüfsummen von dem vorigen Block dokumentieren).\n\n### Hohe Sicherheit gegen Angriffe auf das Netzwerk:\nAufgrund des verteilten Netzwerkes (auf jedem teilnehmenden Rechner liegen alle Informationen synchronisiert vor) ist es nicht möglich, mit einem oder auch 10% gekaperter oder übernommenen Rechnern die Blockchain zu tangieren. Je größer das Netzwerk wird, desto sicherer wird es also in diesem Aspekt.\n\n### Hohe Sicherheit gegen unerwünschte Zugriffe Dritter: \nAufgrund der genutzten Verschlüsselungsverfahren (Öffentliche & Private Schlüssel) ist es mit heutigen Computern nicht möglich, die öffentlichen Schlüssel zu knacken. Nur wer den privaten Schlüssel besitzt, kann die Daten entschlüsseln bzw. Werte einer Transaktion für sich beanspruchen.\nHöchste Transparenz: Alle Transaktionen auf einer Blockchain sind grundsätzlich einsehbar. Für alle. Auch Dritte. (wenn es einen Blockexplorer wie etwa den Bitcoin Explorer gibt: https://blockchain.info/de/ — Übersicht — Klick auf einen Block (z.B. 486447 führt dann zu den Transaktionen selber))\n\n## Implikationen? \nWenn alle Parameter vollständig erfüllt sind, bringt die Blockchain:\n### “Programmiertes Vertrauen”: \nIntermediäre (Makler, Mittler, usw.), die “nur” Vertrauen zwischen Wirtschaftsakteuren herstellen (denke Bank, Versicherung, Börsenmakler/Börse, aber auch eBay, Uber, AirBnB, Spotify, usw.) können durch auf einer Blockchain befindliche Software ersetzt werden.\n\n### Unverfälschbare Historien:\n\nVon der Lebensmittelkontrolle bis zu allen Teilen für ein Auto lassen sich in der Lieferkette mittels Verknüpfung mit physischen Erkennungsdiensten (denke RFID, NFC, Scanner/Kameras jeglicher Art) kritische Merkmale unverfälschbar sichern\n\n### Kontrollmöglichkeit aller Daten für den Verbraucher/Bürger:\nMittels der Blockchain ist es erstmals möglich, jegliche persönlichen und privaten Daten mit einer noch nicht dagewesenen Sicherheit zu digitalisieren und den Zugriff darauf zu kontrollieren — so werden Konstrukte wie der digitale Ausweis, die digitale Patientenakte und vieles mehr Realität werden können\n\n### Sicheres Geld und Basis einer Ökonomie für aufstrebende Länder:\nBitcoin ist der nun (2017) fast 8 Jahre alte Beweis, dass eine Währung geschaffen werden kann, die nur von den Teilnehmern reguliert wird und sich ggf. nicht freien Staatsgebilden entziehen kann (denke Venezuela, Zimbabwe, China); der in Kenia geborene mPesa (Wikipedia) beweist, dass aufstrebende Länder technologische Sprünge vollziehen können und werden, die sich aufgrund der Saturierung mit Lösungen (auch schlechteren) in den Ländern Europas und der USA nicht oder nur sehr langsam und mühsam vollziehen lassen\n\nHat der Artikel was gebracht?
