The lake itself (lower Rowe lake) is nestled snugly amidst the subalpine cirques of mount Rowe. Unfortunately there was no lakeshore perimetre trail to check out. So not much for photo ops around here, except the lake itself mainly. According to others, the premier lake to go to is the upper Rowe lake (dang, I should have went…will have to be next time around). Stay tuned for a future hike to upper Rowe lake someday.       "body": "When I visited Vienna some years ago I spent a lot of time in a park taking pictures of birds and this hare that I found there. It was a nice summer day and I could get pretty close to this rabbit. My iniial plan was to take some pictures of birds that I found there in the park but when the hare came so clos to my location of course I also took some pictures of it. I like Urban wildlife photography in Vienna since it is a lot easier to get clos to the animals because they are used to humans and getting closer to them therefore is a lot easier. When it is a hot summer day like this ist is also easy in Vienna to get some cold drinks and ice cream at a nearby shop.       "body": "If you visit a Marshland here in Austria in early summer it might be possible that you find meat eating plants like the roundleaf sundew. It got quite seldom and can only be found in Marschlands and spots where there is very less nutrition in the soil. This is why this plant has figured out another source of nutrition and this is insects that are digested on its leaves. The insects stick to the plant and are slowly digested there. This gives the plant enough nutrition to survive and so it can grow on very low nutritious soil. It is funny because usually it is the other way round, plants are eaten by insects or animals usually.\n\nVery sad that I didn't had any macro lens with me when I visited the Marshland, only my old smartphone so I couldn't get close enough to the meat eating plants to get a really nice picture.       "title": "IN ABSTRACT",
      "body": "Sometimes abstraction is there, unnoticed by most people, but when I walk down the street, I make a point of looking for \"it\" too—and I mean the shapes creating things, the shadows creating forms, the simple revealing its complexity, the everyday transfiguring into subtle strangeness. After all, abstraction is as much a part of street photography as anything else. When I take these kinds of photos and when I process them later, I always remember the words of my art teacher from my second year of high school. Her name was Nilda, and she was a friend of my mother's. She even looked after me in the afternoons while my mother worked an extra shift as a teacher. So, for a while, besides being her student, I was also part of her family. And my teacher would say something like this about abstraction: \"Everything has something abstract about it when you look at it closely and attentively,\" and that phrase has stayed with me ever since, because even before I started taking photographs, abstraction was something that powerfully captivated me. It has the charm of a town in Switzerland, hence the name. But near the town lies the hills of the Maluti mountains.
