The prefecture said it canceled Saturday's event due to the accident. It wasn't clear what caused the crash.\n\nAn investigation continued Saturday at the mountainside crash site, where debris of the helicopter was scattered and trees torn down apparently from the impact of the fall.\n\nJapanese media quoted witnesses as saying the helicopter was flying extremely low in foggy weather before the crash. The GPS data sent from the helicopter indicated it was making a turn a minute before the transmission stopped, Kyodo News reported. It said the helicopter was not carrying a flight data recorder.\n\nPrefectural officials said the helicopter, which was about 20 years old, had its engine repaired in April but had no abnormality since it resumed operations in June.",

When the officer approached one of the girls, the department said, she ignored him and began walking away.\n\nAfter calling out several times for her to stop, the officer raised his Taser and shocked the girl – a 90lbs, 4ft 11in fifth-grader, according to local news reports – with the handgun-sized weapon, the department said.\n\nThe girl was transported to a local children’s hospital and released to a guardian.       "body": "![005b55d18aefc0923523.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmYQuM4HJB5CMSiWinNL7BnsfXDdKE3vvQGqCqY9f2JYH5/005b55d18aefc0923523.jpg)\n\nIt was a crisp February day in 2004 when budding young photographer Diane Patrice of Derby went out on one of her first big commissions.\n\nDiane had been booked to immortalise this promising talent for a teen magazine, and, armed with a vintage 1973 Hasselblad, a 35mm Nikon and a Softbox light, she set off to the Camden flat to capture “a day in the life\" of a then-21-year-old Amy Winehouse.\n\nShe was greeted at the door by a member of Amy's entourage and taken upstairs to wait around with four other people, while her model prepared for the first series of photos.\n\nAmy Winehouse poses in her flat in Camden, 2004 (Diane Patrice/Whitebank Fine Art)\n\nIt was a homely place, “bit like a student flat, or a squat,” Diane remembers. Vintage Vogue posters adorned the walls over the mantelpiece, clothes and records were casually strewn across the room. Amy was seemingly infatuated with shoes, of which she had around 40 pairs in baskets, in her closet, on the floor. There was a gaping, unapologetic hole in the ceiling.\n\n“Her voice, her face, and her features didn't match. She sounded like a 20-stone check-out girl, she sounded huge. It was a lived-in voice. The whole package was very endearing... a contradiction in herself,” Diane says.\n\nThe young singer took her to the very unassuming little kitchen to make her a cup of tea: \"I don't normally wear my hair like this,\" she said. She seemed to like having it that way.\n\nThey started the shoot on site, as seen in a series of square negatives taken with the Hasselblad. Amy took Diane to an adjacent room, where she was planning to set up a home music studio. Inside the photos, sunlight pours in through a large window, bathing the leopard-print-clad musician in a cosy pink glow. All the locations and outfits were chosen by the singer herself, who did not (would not?) yet adhere to stylists' guidelines.\n\nThey arrived at the local pool hall. Amy was a notoriously avid pool player and this was where she would indulge in her carefree years. The very same location appeared in her music video for the song \"Stronger Than Me\".\n\n“A lot of her later pictures were quite vacant, turning her into a caricature... she was really engaging with the camera in these ones,\" Diane says.\n\nAfter a quick cosmetic touch-up, Amy slipped into her one piece of imposed clothing - a black Adidas jacket for the sponsor's benefit - and proceeded to pose over and around the pool table.\n\nHer expression is serious and committed. The girl is no professional model: she's on the brink of laughter in some shots, and appears concentrated in others. A few snapshots of Amy perusing and trying on items in a gift shop reflect her retro fashion sense and playful persona.\n\nDiane, in deep concentration and somewhat anxious to perform at one of her first serious commissions, was not disturbed by Amy picking up her phone to chat to a friend in the middle of the shoot. She didn't give a damn that it wasn't clean... it stays with me because I never saw someone wear something like that at a shoot — I thought 'good on you, girl.”\n\nThey finished up at a neighbouring bar. Amy ordered a cranberry juice and the next minute her PR man received a call and whisked the rising star away, her high-spirited self forever imprinted on the film inside Diane's two cameras.\n\nBorn in Derby to Saint-Lucian parents in 1973, the self-taught artist picked up the camera at the age of 25 and has been making a living from it ever since, having photographed other stars including a young Rihanna.\n\nThere is real continuity in shooting on film. No interruption while the photographer frets over his work, sorting and editing on the go; no knowing how it's all going to come out. “And you establish a much better rapport,” says Diane. “It would have been nice if I had been more chatty, but I was too concentrated doing a good job.”\n\nShe knows she would have been far more confident now, after years of experience, but “because I mainly wanted to be a music photographer... I'm so proud I managed to shoot two iconic female artists of our generation, and if I ever have to quit it's absolutely fine because I'll have done it.”\n\nDiane is currently working on personal projects as well as commissioned portraiture.       "body": "(https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmdWjA1CWtuqxurxvYm3DupPdWeSku491izhF5Ji3pJaaz/005b55e01e58809389d1.jpg)\n\nSmartphone cameras are about to get pretty insane.\n\nSony, the company that struggles selling its own smartphones but is very good at building camera sensors for other companies' phones, has announced its new IMX586 CMOS image sensor for smartphones.\n\nThe sensor is pretty impressive, with 48-megapixel resolution and a minute pixel size of just 0.8 μm, both world firsts according to Sony.\n\nWhen this sensor makes it into smartphones, it will enable some pretty huge daylight photos with 8,000 x 6,000 pixels, beating even Huawei's P20 Pro and its 40-megapixel sensor. Check out the example, which compares a 12-megapixel sensor with a 48-megapixel sensor, below:\n\n![005b55e01d65c0a37e3d.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmSxkmRm7zPLSVrYsbTDgPUspWHsKsnxoaSSkG8SJi5JXB/005b55e01d65c0a37e3d.jpg)\n\nImage: Sony\n\nBut the best thing about this sensor is the ability to combine the light captured from four adjacent pixels in low-light conditions, creating a very bright, effective 12-megapixel image (The P20 Pro uses the same trick, but it's only able to produce a 10-megapixel image in this way).\n\nThe IMX586 also has dynamic range that's \"four times greater than conventional products,\" and it can take 4K video at 90fps and 1080p video at 240fps, according to Sony's specifications.\n\nSony will start shipping samples of the IMX586 in Sept. 2018, so we can probably expect the first smartphones sporting the sensor in early 2019.
