      "body": "Yes, current interest rate environment is distorting markets and makes even earning a nominal rate of return on a portfolio difficult (and risky).  Definitely takes a large amount of capital to generate a secure $75k per year now.  Hopefully a diversified portfolio could return a bit above 1%, but like you said I wouldn't get too optimistic.  Now is not the time to get greedy.",

      "body": "Be aware of the four post threshold. \n If you are looking to make money on your efforts  then it pays LOTS better to write four long, good, well thought out, (blog style)  posts than it does short , snappy, chat style comments.  The fifth posts only counts three quarters of what the first four do, the sixth less than half, the eight less than a quarter.  After than it continues to decline approaching (but never quite reaching ) zero.  If you post twenty times a day they are worth fractions of a penny, at most.\n\nThere is a similar (but more complex) algorithm in place for votes.  Five votes per day is optimum\n. \n\nComment the hell out of thing though...No limit.  Conversation and a sense of community is desired.",

Having read through the whitepaper, I understand that STEEM is a short term cash-like variety of the currency that is subject to high inflation.  My understanding is that STEEM DOLLARS are something like a convertible note...either convertible into STEEM (which looks like maybe that process takes a week?) or exchangeable immediately for STEEM via the exchange.  I'm guessing that payouts on content generation and curation are made in STEEM DOLLARS?  For what purpose do you need STEEM vs STEEM DOLLARS?\n\nWith respect to STEEM, is there then another exchange where that can then be traded for non-STEEM currencies, like BTC or USD?\n\nPlease confirm or refute my understanding.  Again, I'm new to the concepts and trying to understand.  Thank you!",
