titleWhat are the smart tips for self studying?
bodyMaster these 5 tips for smarter and more effective studying, so you waste less time preparing for your important exams. http://unisci24.com/data_images/wlls/48/335851-study.jpg
Tip #1. Visualize being a pro!
This technique is called building a mental model: you imagine in detail how you expect things will go during your studies and even when you get to exam time. By telling yourself a story, you train your brain to anticipate next steps and expect a positive outcome. Here’s how: Start your day by visualizing your success with studying. Do this before you begin your study session, and set aside about 5–10 minutes for this activity. You can do it either before you get up in the morning, while you’re having breakfast, or right after breakfast as you’re sitting with your eyes closed. Be detailed in thinking about all the steps you will take. This can include covering the chapters and exercises planned for that day, to taking the time to review the material, to writing out an outline of important concepts, to practicing exam questions and knowing the answers. Anticipate and identify which parts you will find challenging to understand and remember. This helps you prepare for problems so you don’t end up getting surprised because you don’t understand a part of the lecture. Then, come up with ways to resolve this (for example, by asking a classmate, reaching out to the professor during office hours or via email, or by designating a little extra time for review). Imagine yourself at the end of the day feeling great about covering all the material and understanding the important stuff. It’s not all about just what happens on the day of the exam that can contribute to your feeling of success. Celebrating small wins every day will boost your motivation and help you feel more positive about moving ahead. Take a minute to think what you will do in the evening to treat yourself for all your hard work. Maybe you’ll want to go for a long walk by yourself or with a friend, go on a long bike ride, run, prepare a dinner with some of your favorite ingredients, watch a fun movie, or spend some quality time with a friend or partner.
Tip #2. Study the most difficult material early in the day.
Why study early? It’s all about taking advantage of your circadian rhythm, which dictates which activities we’re more likely to do best at certain times of the day. For most people, your brain’s peak performance happens 2-4 hours after you wake up. This is the time when your brain can focus on analytical thinking that requires the most concentration. For studying, this can be reading, writing, coding, analyzing, critical thinking, or problem solving. When should you study? If you wake up at 8, your peak times are between 10 and 12. You can extend this time until lunch to maximize your peak performance. This also means you should turn off your phone (at least the volume), avoid responding to calls and text messages, and ignore any other distractions that can disrupt your study time (emails, watching the news, socializing, etc.). What are the benefits? Doing your hard work early in the day allows your brain to focus fully on the problem at hand, with fewer distractions, less inputs from your environment, and with a lot of energy that you've gained from a restful night. It's the exact opposite of what can happen if you leave your toughest studying for nighttime, when you are exhausted from the day. That time is much better for going over the material you’ve already studied and practiced earlier in the day.
Tip #3. Time it right.
For most efficient studying, you don’t need to be sitting at your desk for hours. Use a timer to better manage your study session. That way you allow your brain to focus in a more targeted and effective way. Here are some suggestions: Read and review study material: Set the timer to 30 or 60 minute increments to maximize concentration; or, for really short bursts of study, try the Pomodoro technique which consists of 25 minute blocks of time, followed by 5 minute breaks. Practice exam questions: Use the review questions from your textbook or handouts prepared by your professor (or create your own questions based on the most important concepts from each chapter). Write the questions down on a sheet of paper. Then, use the Pomodoro technique to rehearse for the exam. Give yourself only a short time to answer each question. Use each 25-minute block of time to cover several questions, and go down the list until you’ve covered them all. Take breaks: When you're done with one timed segment, step away from your desk and do something completely unrelated to work: get some fresh air, stretch, have a snack, grab a cup of coffee or tea.
Tip #4. Memorize faster with the teaching technique.
One of the most powerful memory techniques is recalling newly learned information by teaching it to someone else or simply retelling it to yourself out loud. This helps you review, recall, and retain what you’ve learned better than just silently looking over the material. Here’s how to get started: Get an audience: it can be a close friend, study partner or family member. Too shy to speak to anyone? Pretend you have a couple of invisible students who really need to learn what you just covered, and talk to them! Create a private classroom: take a large sheet of white paper (or tape together several sheets for a bigger writing surface), then tape it to your bedroom wall at eye level. Be sure you have some leg room to stand in front of it. Have a pen handy, and a thick black marker (or different colored highlighters) to underline important concepts. Get to work: Write an outline of the most important points in the chapter you just covered, then go over the concepts aloud one by one. Make your “lecture” come alive by drawing diagrams on the side and by providing a few examples; add some humor or a short story to make it even more interesting. At the end, summarize the key parts of your lecture and highlight these sections with your thick marker or highlighter. This helps you recall details better and solidify what you’ve learned.
Tip #5. Use sleep to help your brain organize everything you’ve learned.
What are the benefits of sleep? Neuroscientists believe that sleep can help us learn and memorize better, and also give our brain time to get rid of unnecessary waste. Conversely, chronic sleep deprivation can reduce our cognitive abilities, can impact our concentration, and can even reduce IQ. How can you optimize your sleep? Sleep on your side. According to a study published in the Journal of Neuroscience, the brain's glymphatic pathway (the exchange of two fluids, the cerebrospinal fluid in your brain and the interstitial fluid in your body) helps to eliminate “brain junk,” and this process of elimination is most effective when we sleep on our side. The result? You wake up more refreshed the next day with a clear mind. What helps to unwind fast in the evening? Try this: Step away from electronics (mainly your computer and TV screens), because the light may be keeping you alert without you even being aware of it. Have a cup of herbal tea or some other warm drink without any caffeine, for example warm milk with honey or a magnesium supplement (in tablet or powder form). Do something relaxing 15–20 minutes before bedtime: listen to music or just close your eyes and breathe deeply for 10 counts before you brush your teeth and get ready for bed.

bodyHi, So you wanna catch some Pokémon?Don't waste your time running around, let the bot do it for you :p http://i.imgur.com/P6yMl6a.png
Instructions:
Download the bot you want and unzip it to a folder (I recommend No Version Check + Location Fix (2016-07-23), that's the one I use) Edit the "user.xml" file Now just run the .exe file A Google window will pop up in your standard browser asking for a code. You will see in the cmd window a code displayed, just enter that code and you are ready to go Hint: If you use this bot and you chose a location that is far away from you, e.g: You live in Europe and set the coordinates for New Zealand, make sure to login on your phone only about 3-4 hours later(don't jump around) Editing the "user.xml" file: Open the file with any text editor(I recommend Notepad++) The pre-defined settings are from the bot creator, you can change them if you want In some places you will find lists like this one: Code: ` Rattata Pidgey ` You can add Pokémon you don't want or clear the list. Now, if you chose to clear the list, it will look like this: Code: ` ` This means, that every Pokémon the bot detects will be caught. titleHow to Name Your Company
body
How to Name Your Company
This is a big deal. Don’t @#$% it up. Basic thesis: Everyone’s mind is crowded. Ideas needs space in the brain to survive. The right name enables this, and more. Ok, everyone’s been asking. So here’s how to find a great name— for your company, your project, or whatever else.
Why I Wrote This
I’m really good at naming things, for a few reasons. One, I spent years looking at domain names around 2007-2008. I know the domain name industry inside and out. I’ve looked at and bought and sold thousands of names. Two, for some ineffable reason, I am great at simplifying things down to their component parts. Three, I am hyper picky about what makes a good name, both visually and verbally. Four, I have successfully found names for several of my projects that are absolutely world-class. See: Breather, The Flinch, etc.
10 Rules on How To Name Your Company
1--A good name is simple. But more than simple, a great name goes to the base of what the company does, both describing it and expanding on it. Example: The process of naming Twitter by Noah Glass is described in Hatching Twitter, which was recently released. Regardless of how close to the truth it is, “twitter” describes it perfectly, as it is a short, irreverent/irrelevant sound. From this, the idea of birds emerge, making it even better. 2-- A good name is a noun, and its use can be shortened to either make it into a verb or a noun. Example: My startup Breather is a network of rooms for work or rest, which at one point were called “Breather rooms,” but which since have been shortened by users to “Breathers,” as in “I just rented a Breather.” This makes word-of-mouth infinitely easier. 3-- A good (domain) name passes the phone test. Example: Re: (Fiverr.com) Person 1: “Oh yeah I just used this service Fiverr.” Person 2: “Fiver, awesome.” (Types it into phone.) #FAIL Oops. Your service better be damn good if people are willing to spell it out every time. Funny story actually, a VC I was recently meeting with literally typed in Brether into his browser to search for us, because he had already assumed my company was spelled wrong. He was shocked we owned Breather.com. Another side note, some people (I’m looking at you Jason Calacanis) have rules around investing or not based on how good your name is. 4-- (A corollary.) A good domain name is worth any price you are capable of paying. But, you can make them cheaper by choosing .io, .co, or whatever other extension you like. Likewise, your company’s Twitter handle needs to be easy to obtain. I consider those to be the primary ones. FB, Google+, all the other stuff, don’t worry about it. 5-- Combinations of two words are ok, and can even be great (though Facebook is actually one real word). With word combos, it has to roll off the tongue, which means two or three syllables, but almost never four. Example: Microsoft and Pinterest, ok. Shopkeep, awesome (based on a real word). CreativeLive, started by my buddy Chase Jarvis, is a good exception to the not-four-syllables rule. 6-- Now I’m looking at you, French people. If your company name sounds like English to you, but sounds fucking weird to native speakers, choose something else for God’s sake. A random invented word is better than the stuff you made up. Example: PearlTrees? Wtf. SoundCloud? Absolutely. 7-- Do not, I repeat, do not name your company very similarly to another startup, especially a successful one. Example: … I have one. But they’re kind of friends, so I’m keeping it to myself. :| 8-- If you can’t come up with anything, try changing one letter from something you really want, or something that sounds like a real thing. Example: Mustbin. I haven’t looked up what they do, but if it’s not about wish lists, I retract my recommendation. 9-- You can find a good name just by free writing, and doing so for an absurdly long time. Just keep writing and writing. Seriously. Do it in a text file. Keep writing until you reach 10,000 words. The right name will come along, as long as you keep writing. Example: Just trust me, this works. 10-- Look, eventually, none of this will matter. But right now, it matters a lot. Your company name is your identity. Think about it for a LONG TIME. Thanks.

title“How Do I Monetize My Blog?” Is the Wrong Question
bodySo you’ve got a blog and you’re wondering how to monetize it. Let me stop you right there. You don’t monetize a blog. You don’t monetize a blog for the same reason you don’t monetize a billboard. Why don’t you see people asking how to monetize a billboard? Because it’s an absurd question. Why do you have a billboard? You have a billboard to advertise. What do you advertise? You advertise your product or service. What is the product or service I should sell? That’s a much better question. You don’t have a monetization problem, you have a business problem.
A Blog Is Not a Business
I have to burst a really big bubble you might have: a blog is not a business. A business is a business. A blog is a marketing tool. If you have a blog and you’re not making money, you don’t have a monetization problem, you have a business problem. You can’t just start blogging and expect money to come. Just like you can’t put up a billboard and expect money to come. Billboards get people to notice you. Now what? You have to have something to sell. You have to have a business.
What is a Business?
A business is an organization that provides goods or services to consumers. A blog is merely an acquisition channel. Goods or services: what do you have to sell? Your blog should lead people to these offerings.
The Purpose of a Blog Is to Provide Value
A blog may not be a business, but it is a very useful tool. The reason you should have a blog is to provide value. What does providing value look like? Providing value looks like answering peoples’ questions and helping them along the Buyer’s Journey. What is the Buyer’s Journey? The Buyer’s Journey covers the stages someone goes through on the way to buying a product or service. Why are they buying? To solve a problem. At each stage, they have unanswered questions, fears, inhibitions, or uncertainty. A blog can help people on this journey. A blog can establish your expertise. A blog can build trust and loyalty. A blog can bring new people in. A blog can lead the reader to a paid product. When you answer the questions people have, you are providing value. Helping people and providing value with a blog establishes you as an expert. As the author, you are able to build trust and loyalty with your readers. When your readers trust you, they will be more inclined to buy from you.
Start Over: Make a Product
Start thinking of a blog as a tool. It’s a tool that can accelerate the Buyer’s Journey. Let’s revisit the reason you started blogging. What do you blog about? Who are you blogging for? What are you helping them with? What are their biggest struggles? What problems, if solved, would make the biggest difference? The answer to this question is what you should be addressing with your product or service. If you’ve already started a blog without a product, don’t worry, it’s not a total loss. By looking at which of your posts have received the most attention, you can get a good idea of what is resonating with your readers. The next step is to focus all of your efforts on making something people can pay you for. What does that look like?
The Trifecta
I talked about products and services earlier. When it comes to making money from what you’re blogging about, I actually like to break it down into three ways I call The Trifecta: Client Work Products Teaching No matter what you are blogging about, you can make money using one of these three methods. Every person in your audience has struggles. They have problems to solve. These three methods address the problem in several different ways. Client work is where you do the work for them. You are performing a service and doing all the work. Products either solve the problem or make it easier to solve the problem. Sometimes this is a tool or maybe it’s a complete solution. Teaching educates someone on how to solve the problem themselves. Rather than hire you to do the work, some people want to learn to do it themselves. They can then turn around and offer services to their own clients. Start thinking of some ways you can use one of these three methods to create a series of offerings for your audience. Use the Blog for Your Business, Not As Your Business Once you have something to sell, you can use your blog to provide value around your expertise and point people to your paid offerings. This way, you can essentially keep doing what you’re doing, but you’ll also make money when you do because you actually have a business now. If you liked this, or it helped give you some clarity, be sure to subscribe on YouTube (it’s a video show!). To listen on the go, head over to seanwes.tv/itunes to listen to subscribe to the audio podcast. Also, I have a really big request: whether you read on Medium.com, watch the show on YouTube, or listen as a podcast, it would be a huge help if you left an iTunes review.
