      "body": "In this post, I am sharing my experience with poloniex and why I really believe they are either a scam or doing a very shady business. You fellow crypto enthusiast should be careful and I recommend everybody to think thoroughly if they want to really keep their funds there.\n\nLast year I opened an account with poloniex. I started depositing all my cryptos there and started trading. When my account value grew up to around $23,000, I requested a Level 2 Verification so that I will be eligible to withdraw $25,000 per day if I wished to. I was waiting and waiting for almost three months. I just didn’t notice the time passing and they mentioned in their trollbox one day that they are having a lot of new customers& that approvals are taking more than usual to get processed. so, I was not feeling any pressure and kept depositing more funds into my account.\n\nOne day I just discovered they rejected my application without even showing any notification or without sending me any email. I had to go to their verification page to find out that they rejected my application. The rejection was because my “Picture of myself holding my ID” was not following their guidelines. That sounded really weird to me, because the picture I provided follows their guidelines and it was very clear. But i thought they might have just made a mistake. I made another picture making sure it conforms totally to their guidelines. Another month of waiting passed, then they rejected my application because the scan of my Photo ID was not clear! I did another scan and sent the application again(here I realised I am in deep sh**)… another 1.5 month waiting! And guess what! last week they rejected my application again, this time they show a notification on their website that my application got rejected, the reason for rejection this time is that they changed the guidelines for the “Picture of yourself holding Photo ID”, now I must also hold a paper containing “poloniex and the date of approval application request” handwritten on it! I didn’t try further, because I was already out of of poloniex at this point\n\nThe funny thing, in one of their FAQs they write that Picture and ID verification is automated and done using a software, well if it is done automatically using a software why does it take more than a month for the software to analyse and decide about my application! It should be a matter of minutes to get a response since there is no human interaction there. This shows that it is actually their policy to delay and/or reject approvals. They want to lock user funds in. Not really sure why! \n\nSo, In the middle of trying to get my account verified I got suspicious, I started searching for other people experience in this regard. I found out that other users are suffering and having huge difficulties getting  approved or even withdrawing their funds out of poloniex. In some cases, poloniex will switch accounts to manual withdrawal approval, which means that when you want to withdraw your daily limit of $2,000, poloniex must manually approve your request, which could take between one week to more than a month. you can’t make a new request until they approve your current request. which practically means they reduce your withdrawal limit to $2,000 per week/month(depends on how fast they approve your requests)! hence, if you have a $20,000 in your account, you need almost a year to withdraw your funds! \n\nWhen I realised the trouble I was in, I had $65,000 equivalent of coins in my poloniex account. I was scared that I will never be able to withdraw all of my money. I immediately started withdrawing my daily limit every day hoping that poloniex will not switch my account to manual withdrawal approval! I had to do 40 withdrawal requests, paying so much in fees, before I was out of poloniex!",
