Some scientists think that moisture or dew collected on the scales runs down to the rough surface of the skin and enters the skin’s network of half-open channels, or grooves, located between the scales. If so, what makes you happy? Your family, your work, your religious faith? Perhaps you are looking forward to something that may make you happy, such as finishing your schooling, getting a good job, or buying a new car.\n\nMany people experience a measure of happiness when they reach a certain goal or obtain a desired item. But how long does that surge of happiness last? Often, it is only temporary, which can be disappointing.\n\nHappiness has been described as a state of well-being that is characterized by relative permanence, by emotions ranging from mere contentment to deep and intense joy in living, and by a natural desire for it to continue.\n\nFurther, as an ongoing state of well-being, happiness has been described, not as a destination or goal, but as a journey. To say, “I’ll be happy when . . .” is, in effect, postponing happiness.\n\nTo illustrate, compare happiness with good health. How do we enjoy that state of physical well-being? We follow a wise path in regard to diet, exercise, and overall lifestyle. Likewise, happiness results from following a good path in life, living in harmony with sound principles.\n\nWhat principles or qualities of life characterize the way of happiness? What does the evidence suggest?\n\nAccording to the Journal of Happiness Studies, once our basic needs are met, more income does little to improve our overall happiness or our sense of well-being. Money itself is not the issue. It’s “the striving for [money] that’s linked to unhappiness,” states an article in the magazine Monitor on Psychology. Those words mirror this advice given in the Bible almost two thousand years ago: “The love of money is a root of all sorts of injurious things, and by reaching out for this love some have . . . stabbed themselves all over with many pains.” (1 Timothy 6:9, 10) What may those pains include?\n\nWORRY AND LOSS OF SLEEP BECAUSE WEALTH HAS TO BE PROTECTED. “Sweet is the sleep of the one serving, whether he eats little or much, but the plenty belonging to the rich one does not permit him to sleep.”​—Ecclesiastes 5:12.\n\nDISAPPOINTMENT WHEN THE PROMISED HAPPINESS FAILS TO ARRIVE. The God of Thunder would be an unexpected hero to die by Thanos’ hand, and the death could give fans some intriguing emotional fallout. As audiences know, Loki is directly connected to Thanos as the Frost Giant sought the Mad Titan’s help following his exile from Asgard. Loki and all his mixed feelings for Thor would react strongly to his adopted brother’s death, and the loss of Thor would give the MCU a chance to bring in Lady Thor if it so wanted. \n\nVISON\nIt is a given that Vision will be destroyed by Thanos at some point during Avengers: Infinity War. The actor claims he will take part in the MCU up until Avengers 4, but there is a good chance Captain America’s death in Avengers: Infinity War will be what spurs the team into reconciliation following Civil War. The death of Captain America would be a blow to all parties; Even Star-Lord with his extraterrestrial upbringing would have known about Steve before Yondu's crew snatched him. Captain American somehow made it through Civil War unscathed, allowing the MCU time to fully flesh out successor options in the Falcon or the Winter Soldier.       "title": "SEE FROM WITHIN",
      "body": "Saturday, February 10th .  \nPastor Chris \n\n_*While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18).*_ \n\nBefore the physical manifestation of the glory, success, victory, prosperity, and progress that you desire in life, you must see it first within you. Once you can see it from within, then it’s yours. It’s called “seeing the unseen.” You can never have it on the outside if you didn’t first have it within. \n\nThat’s where some have missed it. They want to see first with their physical eyes before calling it real; that’s not faith. Faith is calling real that which the physical senses can’t perceive. \n\nFor example, God said to Abraham, _*“Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee…”*_ (Genesis 17:5-6). Abraham first had to see himself as the father of many nations. At the time God spoke to him, he was ninety-nine years old, and Sarah his wife, apart from reaching menopause was barren. \n\nNevertheless, the Bible says, _*“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God”*_ (Romans 4:20). The Lord had said to him, _*“…Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and…So shall thy seed be”*_ (Genesis 15:5). Abraham believed. He saw the picture of his uncountable descendants—numerous as the stars—from within. \n\nWhen you study the Scriptures, learn to do so with pictures; see with the eyes of your spirit; believe and act accordingly. Don’t wait until you “see” the physical manifestation. For instance, if the Spirit says to you, “You have a new job,” don’t say, “When I receive the letter of employment, then I’ll say I have a job”; no! You have to take possession in the spirit, and with your spirit, first, because it’s more real in the spirit-realm. \n\nRealize that it’s the blessings your spirit take a hold of, and which you affirm with your mouth, that’ll manifest in your life. Therefore, see your victory, prosperity, health, peace, progress, and success from within, and affirm accordingly.\n\n                 *PRAYER* \n\n*Dear Father, the eyes of my spirit are enlightened to see and apprehend your blessings!       "body": "The most beautiful natural gift from God to man is the\ngift of words, the ability to speak and make words.\nYou’re what you say. Your life is the summation of the word\nthat come out of you. Our opening verse emphasises the\nimportance of framing your life aright with your words. The\nprinciple is clear: what you say is what you get. Life will\nproduce for you a harvest of what you say—good or bad.\nUnderstand that in this, there’s no middle ground.\nSomeone might say, “Well, I haven’t been saying anything at\nall; so I believe I’m going to be okay,” no; it doesn’t work\nthat way. You’ll still have a harvest; howbeit, the wrong one.\nIt’s like having a garden and refusing to sow any seed in\nit; something will definitely grow of its own accord—weeds.\nSadly, the lives of some are that way. They don’t realize it’s\ntheir responsibility to keep themselves in victory, dominion,\nand prosperity.\nGod already did all that’s necessary for you to have\nand enjoy a transcendent life in Christ through the power of\nthe Holy Spirit. It’s your responsibility now to keep things that\nway, and it’s mainly about your confession. You must affirm\nthat you have a great life, if you’re going to live it! You must\nacknowledge and confess that you’ve been called to a life of\nglory and virtue; a life of power, beauty and excellence.\n2 Peter 1:3 says, “According as his divine power hath\ngiven unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness,\nthrough the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and\nvirtue.” Now you can see that there isn’t anything you don’t\nhave. This ought therefore, to form the basis for your faith\ndeclarations.\nNever talk lack, sickness, weakness, inability or fear.\nRather, keep affirming that you have and walk in divine health.\nAffirm that the Lord is your strength, your righteousness, your\nsuccess, and your prosperity. Keep saying it and your life will\ngo in one direction only—upward and forward.\n\nCONFESSION\nMy life is the testimony of God’s\ngrace. The glory of God is\nrevealed in me today, as I walk\nin the Word and produce results\nby the Word. I’m full of strength,\nbecause Christ is in me; He’s my\nrighteousness, wisdom, success,\nand prosperity. Blessed be God!",
