Çünkü Blockchain teknolojisini bir parça tanımış olan herkesin bildiği bazı ortak bilgiler vardır. Merkeziyetsiz  yapıda oluşu, şeffaf oluşu, üzerindeki bilgilerin değiştirilemeyişi gibi özellikler hepimizin bildiği şeylerdendir.  Daha emekleme çağında olan bu teknoloji başta finans olmak üzere birçok alanda ciddi değişimler yapmakta; hemen hemen hayatın her alanında dönüşüme neden olmaktadır. Ancak yine hepimizin bildiği gibi bu kadar kısa bir geçmişe sahip olan bir teknolojinin günlük yaşam içinde, diğer bir deyimle teoriden pratiğe geçişte bazı sorunlarla karşılaşması olağandır.  \nBlockchain teknolojisinin tanınması nerede ise Bitcoin adlı kripto para ile özdeşmiştir. Çünkü blockchain üzerindeki verilerin karşı tarafa aktarılması ağdaki diğer doğrulayıcılar sayesinde olmaktadır. Madencilik adı verilen bu işlem de blok zincirindeki algoritmayı ilk çözen kişi ödülü alır. Bu durum aktif çalışmayı zorunlu kılar, aktif olarak çalışmayan hiçbir şekilde ödül kazanamaz. Ödül; bloğu ilk çözene verildiği için daha yüksek işlem gücüne sahip olanın şansı çok daha fazla olmaktadır. Yüksek işlem gücü için ciddi ekipman yatırımına ve yüksek enerji kullanımına ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Bunun iki önemli sakıncası vardır. Yüksek enerji kullanımı dünyadaki çevresel sorunların (özellikle küresel ısınma) büyümesine yol açmaktadır. Diğer önemli sakınca yüksek işlem gücüne sahip ekipmana sahip madencilik çiftlikleri ödüllerin en önemli kısmını almakta bu ise blokchainin merkeziyetsiz doğası ile çelişmektedir. Çok daha düşük enerji kullanılarak yapılan bu işlem madencilik bile sayılamaz. 2012 yılında alternatif bir madencilik sistemi olarak ortaya çıkan PoS’a, ETH kurulu bulunduğu PoW sistemi üzerinden geçiş yapma hazırlıkları yapmaktadır. Yeni çıkan coinlerin nerede ise büyük çoğunluğu PoS sistemi üzerinde çalışmaktadır. \n \n\n![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmW9E24EDPyjBVPM5UR6jBskR9VMweDMM6rE9kJsW3qPZo/image.png)\n\nKısaca değindiğim yönleri ile PoW (Prof of Work) ve PoS (Prof of Stake) sistemlerinin analizi sonrasında Türk blockchain uzmanı Emin Gün Sirer Etherum’un bir dostça forku olan  Athereum’u Japonya’da  yapılan Ethereum geliştirici konferansı Devcon 5’te açıklamıştır.Ava Platformunun kurucu ekibine göre birinci ve ikinci nesil olarak adlandırılabilecek bu Blockchan uygulamaları artık ihtiyaca cevap verememektedir. Çünkü her iki nesilde de önemli eksikliklikler mevcuttur. Bu eksiklik ve sorunları şöyle sıralamak mümkündür: \nÖlçeklenebilirlik (Scalability): Bu durumu basitçe şöyle açıklamak daha anlaşılabilir olacaktır. Diyelim ki bir yazılım gerçekleştirdiniz. Yazılımınızı satın alıp kullanan müşterileriniz var. Müşterilerinizden aldığınız memnuniyet uygulamanızın performansı hakkında bilgi verir. Eğer geri dönüşler çok iyi ise uygulamanızın performansı iyidir. Eğer kötü ise işler iyiye gitmiyordur.
