It is the world record for the highest score ever made, it was recognized by Guinness World Records. Club AS Adema in Antananarivo, Madagascar, defeated arch-rival Stade Olympique de l’Emyrne (SOE) as a result of a protest of the pre-determined from SOE to arbitration decisions taken against their previous match in tournament play -off of 4 teams. The score of this match beat the previous record, a score of 36-0, set at an 1885 match between Arbroath and Bon Accord.\n\nThe match was part of a round-robin tournament, play-off of 4 teams to determine Madagascar’s national champion. The champion became Adema after SOE drew 2-2 with DSA Antananarivo in the last match of the group, during which the referee awarded a late and disputed penalty. The resulting draw meant that the SOE was eliminated from the title race. With the already decided championship, SOE has decided to protest in this way. SOE intentionally scored 149 autogoles, the spectators telling that after each ball in the game – it was placed in its own goal, with the advertised players sitting on the amusement. It was reported that the spectators had arrived at the ticket offices to demand the return of the money.\n\nAfter the game, the Federation Malagasy Football suspended coach from SOE, Zaka Be, for a period of three years and four players – defender Mamisoa Razafindrakoto, captain Madagascar national football team captain SOE Manitranirina Andrianiaina of skill Nicolas Rakotoarimanana and goalkeeper Dominique Rakotonandrasana – were suspended until the end of the season and were banned from stadiums during the same period. All other players in both teams received warnings. The referee was not punished.",

Within the framework of the Olympic Games that took place in the Swedish capital is the day scheduled for the celebration of the toughest test of athletic competitions: the 42 kilometers and 195 meters of the marathon. The weather conditions do not help because the day is sunny and the temperature exceeds 30 degrees.\n\nMany of the 69 participants were forced to leave and one of them, the Portuguese Francisco Lazaro suffered a heat stroke that made it necessary to transfer him to the hospital where he would die the next day. The rest of the runners were reaching the finish line, being the first of them the South African Kennedy McArthur, who won the gold medal with a time of 2 hours, 36 minutes and 54 seconds. The silver medal went to his compatriot Christopher Gitsham, who reached the finish line 58 seconds behind the winner, and bronze for the American Gaston Strobino, who stopped the clock in 2 hours, 38 minutes and 42 seconds.\n\nAs I said, the rest of the 69 participants, except for the Portuguese Lazaro and those who had been retiring along the route arrived at the stadium in the following minutes; all but one. The Japanese Shizo Kanakuri did not reach the finish line at any time nor was there news that he had retired. The days passed and nobody knew anything about the Japanese athlete, whose luck became a mystery that would not be clarified until years later.\n\nAfter kilometer 20 of the Kanakuri test he suffered a fading and was helped by a family of local spectators who helped him and offered him to come into his house to take a drink to help him recover; The marathon was over for Kaniguri, who recovered his strength and rested but could not continue the test.
