      "body": "Hi everyone, I recently saw Thor: Ragnarok  and I am slightly uncertain of how I feel regarding the shift that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is going through. Now, this is certainly a debatable topic but this is the way I see things.\n\nIt seems to me that the MCU is going through a period where it is almost recycling its characters. It is taking the heroes we know and love away from their contexts, tearing apart personal connections that made the characters relatable. This is probably so that the infinity war arc is unburdened by each individual characters personal dilemmas and focus solely on beating the big bad Thanos. My issue with this is that we are no longer watching characters grow and develop, we are watching a situation. It's certainly an entertaining situation with a good enough plot, but it seems to me that the characters are becoming slightly more shallow. \n\nThor: Ragnarock was very entertaining and funny but getting rid of Jane so offhandedly irked me. We watched two movies where Jane was a very major character and we don't see how the break up happened, no flashback, no nothing, Thor doesn't even seem affected by it. Another example of this shift, is the pairing up of Natasha and Bruce. Not that it happened but how it happened, we barely see the two characters interact and suddenly Natasha can stop the Hulk. Really? It is making the characters simpler and more predictable. Narrowing the characters down to a few basic characteristics (Eg, Spiderman is your basic teenager, Villans are 2D generic villains) and we miss out on all the wonderful, unique things each character has to offer. \n\nIn Thor: Ragnarock, Asgard is blown to smithereens and there is a joke about the foundations being unsalvagable. Which is exactly what I feel is happening to the foundations of the MCU, and maybe I am the only one who sees it this way and please feel free to disagree in the comments. I would love to hear different opinions. \n\nThank you :)",

How?_\n \nIt has spent its entire existence watching people move through their lives, while it remains, forever unchanging. It has seen a small boy, who needed to get on his tiptoes to glimpse its face, grow into a strong man who needs to stoop to look at it, just as his father had done before him. It has seen the bright smile of his newlywed wife beaming up at it. \n\nIt was also there to see the beautiful girl slowly stroke her curls and sprinkle clumps of hair down to the floor. \n\nHe looks at it with hate and despair now, he screams and cries. But there it remains steady and constant leaving its victim defeated in despair.\n\nThe last time it saw the girl it felt real heartbreak and saw the same reflected in her eyes. The next day the young boy it had seen grow into a man came to see it. He stared it right in the eyes, and despite the salt and pepper hair and dark circles, it saw that young boy once again. It held his gaze and stood there unmoving. \n\nIt watched him turn away from it.\n\nHis arm rose. \n\nA click.\n\n_“I'm coming, Mia.”_ \n\nA bang. Silence. It stood in shock for a moment.
