It has successfully reached a daily volume of more than 300 million with a positive 24 hours change of 18.23%. Their 30-day volume has impressively hit the 13 billion. I remember not long ago ZB and Lbanks exchanges where way ahead and now they are below bitmax.io in CMC ranking. Now several factors could attribute to this success some of which could be the Margin Trading, The Fees or even the frequent announcements of different features.\n\n![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmPU8zi49hmH7nktHjrBizjEUjDvtdfgTCUSoptoQgmrKM/image.png)\n\nLet us explore the possible factore:\n\n- Margin Trading: Which is the process that allows the traders to take more funds than what they own. It is basically borrowing money to trade. This allows users to trade with higher asset value. I personally think that this feature might be handy to some experienced folks and to some it might backfire; because of the volatility of the market. That is why Bitmax in their announcement clearly mentions that the users should be aware of those risks and should trade with caution. In order to opt for the Margin Trading the user has to open what is called in Bitmax the Margin account.\n\n  The user simply moves his/her funds from their cash account to their margin account and start trading. There is no request needed to apply for a given fund. Within the margin account the system automatically applies amount based on balance; accounts should have a minimum balance of 100USDT though.\n\n- Trading fees: The other possible reason why the exchange is doing so well could be attributed to the trading fee. The trading fee for most pairs is about 0.04% which is reasonably cheap compared to other exchanges. Now there is a plus here; You also get what is called trans-fee trading which we talked about in other posts. Which basically means you get the trading fees back in form of Bitmax tokens.  \n\n- Promotional deals: With every listing, Bitmax announces a (in almost all cases) promotional campaigns for traders where they get some rewards.  Take for example LTONetwork listing that began at 8:00 am EST on Jan 17th, 2019.  The listing was accompanied by an exclusive LTO airdrop to BTMX holders. The giveaway was around 1000 LTO to the top 1500 users with BTMX tokens; that is not all there was also another event which was the trading competition where the top LTO trader was awarded 300 000 LTO tokens. \n\n- Feature Release: Since the launch of Bitmax; various announcement were made that added to the exchange; like what I've mentioned earlier with trans-fee trading. There is also the unique reverse-mining; as of late they have also announced new features like what is called the Stop Limit Orders. With Stop Limit Orders you should be able to stop your losses if a price drops below a given level (support level) you set that order at. At that limit the order will trigger preventing further losses; Similarly with buy orders; you can set a limit price for when resistance is broken the order is triggered. This last addition is something I am quite excited about because I think it is quite handy for novice day traders like me. \n\nThose were few reasons why I think the exchange has been performing really well; before ending this piece I would like to add that the exchange has been doing quite well with the community and keep us all in the loop of what is happening with their progress. There was an AMA last month with the CEO and I  think such AMAs are a great opportunity to talk to the higher ups and ask them different questions about the progress and the exchange. In case you did not know Bitmax is a cryptocurrency exchange with an [API](https://github.com/bitmax-exchange/api-doc/blob/master/bitmax-api-doc-v1.1.md). The post I came across was about the possibility of adopting what is called Margin Trading? From my understanding and according to Investopedia it is a scheme where you trade using borrowed money. \n\nIf such a plan is executed it might serve some and it might not for other but that is not what got me interested. What got me interested is the fact that they are constantly planning for new models and new schemes. I mean updates keep coming. I've been using other exchanges and the only change I've witnessed was an upgrade in the UI. Bitmax since its launch has introduced several interesting coins and models. Not long ago reverse-mining and trans-fee models where introduced. The former allows the user that executes the maker trade to receive a rebate of the transactions fee in exchange of BTMX tokens; the latter models allows the user to get back the transaction fee in form of BTMX tokens.  As you can see in the image below the models have allowed for 40,335,824 BTMX to be [locked up](https://etherscan.io/token/0x1c289a12a8552b314d0d153d6991fd27a54aa640?a=0x57555AA8F3Abb6b52463a15D292EbAE3C58B20a5) hence reducing supply of BTMX tokens within the platform. \n\n![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmbcdwC2tqh5thBVGaSAwhKW7p3M9SBUw9ptN7Ztxjmdb4/image.png)\n\nSince the introduction of those two models, Bitmax has marked great numbers on the exchange. Their daily volume ranges between $50 mil and $100 mil. Those numbers shouldn't be taken lightly; there are other exchanges that have been struggling to get over $2 mil; you can check out their volume on CMC. As the day of writing the volume was market at  $707,484,907 USD. The highest traded pair is of USDC/USDT.\n\n![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmcfqrFK3i5gwdWuy24B3aHBNbt7TmPbTMYcm2WDxvJtHk/image.png)\n\nI think from what I've read around the models have greatly contributed to that progression. That is not all; on Jan 23rd Bitmax rolled out several order types in its exchange as part of the continuous progression. The order types introduced are Market Order and Stop Order. \n\nWe might be familiar with what Market Order is; since it is present in almost all exchanges. It basically allows you to immediately execute an order at the best available price. Market Orders usually only require the amount to trade and not the price; the price is obtained by the exchange for the best and next best prices in the order book. With Bitmax the order is executed if the order is within 10% spread from the market price. For example, you would like to buy 10 ETH. The offers book has 3 ETH for 0.5 BTC and 7 ETH for 10BTC and many other offers; the system would calculate the deviation and if 3 and 7 ETH fall within 10% spread they will be executed otherwise only one would be executed hence a partial order. \n\nThe other order type is the Stop Order. Personally is one of my favorite types since it allows you to sell or buy when a specific price is reached. Bitmax has two types of Stop Orders. Stop-Limit Order and Stop-market Order. The former allows the order to depend on both the stop price and limit price. When the Stop Price set target is reached the limit order will be executed. The latter type (Stop-Market Order) a Market order is executed when the stop order is reached.\n\nThe exchange is constantly pushing updates and is not afraid to roll out new models. I hope they keep at it especially with a highly competitive field. In order to close a transaction one had to carry money to the recipient and close the deal. This was a risky business and a prime time for bandits. Well don't get me wrong I don't mean to say that bandits exist because of cash, all am saying is that moving cash around and especially large amounts of it is a risky business. The issue with banks is that you needed to have a bank account and you needed to wait for ages to have your money moved around. Even today moving money around through banks and across countries is not as fast, as it can take days. This is where Remittance companies came to play. They usually transfer your money faster than banks and across different countries. They are highly compliant because they mandate a proper screening to combat any possibility of Money Laundry. In the simplest terms, they take in cash and give it to the other end. \n\nRemittance companies depend on agents that interact with the customers. You can think of agents as the interacting layer between normal customers and the remittance company. For example, Bob wants to send Money to Alice. Bob resides say in Canada and Alice in the US. They head to Say XTransfer company, that company uses XYZRemittance for the transfers. So Bob hands in the cash to XTransfer. XTransfer through XYZRemittance sends the transaction. The settlements between XTransfer, XYZRemittance, and Alice happen behind the scenes and on Alice's end, there is another agent say YTransfer that also uses XYZRemittance. YTransfer then hands the money to Alice. This process generally takes few hours to complete and usually considered a peer-peer payment; meaning it is one to one. This is the basic overview; there are other details to the process like settling records in both ends and actually transferring the money through banks….etc but let us keep things simple.\n\nVTNGLobal wants to introduce a feature that allows users to easily and quickly move money around, quicker than the traditional Remittance companies. First, let us talk about VTNGlobal and their background. So they are a US based company under the name VTNGlobal Inc. Their company in Nigeria is licensed for international transfers and mobile payments.\n\nGiven their background and expertise in moving money around they decided to adopt for Crypto to make life simpler and safer by moving money around. What they are introducing is what I like to call the crypto digital money orders but with a plus. Let us go back to our scenario of Bob and Alice. Now, in this case, using VTNGlobal. So XTransfer now uses VTNGlobal. Bob heads to XTransfer, pays the agent and gets a scratchcard in form of tokens that have a set value. Now as Bob holds that scratchcard has the freedom to send to Alice or Alice and others. The value resides in what is called \"digital good funds\".\n\nAs it is known agents usually don't just operate one single remittance company. They can actually represent multiple. It wouldn't make sense for the remittance company to open offices everywhere; they just partner up with agents and the agents use them. Now the million dollar question. since an agent can represent multiple remittance companies, which would the agent use to transfer and move money around? Well simple first of all the agent (XTransfer) has the freedom to choose whichever remittance company they deal with (XYZRemittance or VTNNetwork or even VTNGLobal) and sometimes the client has the option to choose (aka Bob); however the agents like XTransfer or YTransfer usually opt for the remittance that yields the most returns for them. Which in most if not all cases that is decided by the commission rate provided by the remittance company.\n\nVTNGlobal for their solution introduced what is called the RemittanceToken. RemittanceToken does not require much effort by the agent, unlike the traditional cash where the client needs to fill in papers and have his ID scanned and the agent verifies and fills several details in the system and authorize the transaction. With RemittanceToken The agent will simply give out the card and takes the amount in cash (assuming the client is KYCd). The agent is rewarded by the number of cards sold. Let us go back to our previous example of Bob and Alice but now with RemittanceToken. As Bob hands the cash to the agent and the agent hands the card to Bob. The agent is rewarded by activating the card sold to Bob. When the Agent activates the card a commission is automatically transferred to the agent's account. Note that the activation here means that the agent transferred the requested tokens to Bob.\n\nThe obvious benefits from this approach are that the solution given it is in Tokens is highly secured and portable, the client (Bob) can freely move his funds around. Also, Bob has the freedom to distribute not to one recipient but to many. Above all, it is actually cheaper. For one the agent's effort is reduced to around 90%.\n\nThe other big question is what do you gain from this aside from having a portable solution that can be transferred to many recipients and is actually cheaper? Well, the benefits extend to real-time settlements. With this approach, you are basically completing a transfer in almost a real-time fashion. Try transferring money through a bank account or a traditional remittance company; in the best case scenario you are likely to wait a few hours; with banks, you need to wait days if it is cross-border. Imagine having a real-time settlement? especially in purchasing and selling goods.\nVTNGlobal is currently doing an ICO and the solution is placed under the entity REMCO Software, Inc. and is in the process of raising funds.
