In a more wider contexts, there are different definitions of plagiarism base on the context it's portrays \n\nLET US LOOK INTO VARIOUS PLAGIARISM:\n\n1. MOSIAC PLAGIARISM:\nmosaic (or patchwork) plagiarism is when a student borrows text from a source without using quotation marks or copies of original content, changing words and sentence structure to make it seem like their original work. \n\nMosaic plagiarism includes copying and pasting an author’s blog post word for word, then changing small parts of it to make it appear original.  Although the copied text is not exactly like the original, it is still plagiarism as the bulk of the text has been directly taken from another source. \n\nIt also includes pulling quotes from different sources without using a proper citation or attribution disclaimer. \n\nLastly, if you copy your previous work and try to re-use it using different words, this counts as mosaic plagiarism \n\nDIRECT PLAGIARISM:\nCopying another writer's work with no attempt to acknowledge that the material was found in an external source is considered direct plagiarism.\nIn instances of direct plagiarism, the writer takes most of their draft almost word-for-word from another source. Even though the writer eliminates some sentences from the original, they still use another person's words and ideas and try to pass them off as their own. The writer uses no quotation marks to distinguish their own words from those that are from the source, and they provide no citations to acknowledge that the material comes from another source.\n\nPARAPHRASING PLAGIARISM:\nParaphrasing plagiarism happens when someone paraphrases an outside source in a piece of writing without giving credit to the original source.\n\nWhen you paraphrase ideas from outside sources in your own words, you must show where that information came from in order to avoid plagiarism.
