      "body": "**BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY**\n\nI was lured into this field with the sole purpose of making quick money. I saw it as a get-rich-quick-scheme. And little did I know, the game has it's own ups and downs(read as huge ups and huge downs). Beyond some profits and even more losses, what makes me stick to blockchain is the amazing technology behind it. I believe in the power of story telling and these two women are two of the most powerful story tellers that I've listened to in my life. They fought against life and now their stories have changed lives.\n\nGazal's story got my eyes shedding tears. Born and groomed as a boy, Gazal at 25 said, \"For as long as I can remember, I’ve always felt, without even a fragment of doubt, that I was a girl.\" The discrepancy in how she was perceived by the world and more importantly, how she perceived herself made living in her body a prison she had no way out of. In 2007, she underwent Sex Reassignment Surgery (SRS) and described the feeling not as being overjoyed or enthusiastic but as finally feeling at ‘peace’, because what was always meant to happen had happened. Ever since then, Gazal has been very vocal about her journey and her transition. I'll never forget these lines, \"Stories can change hearts, stories can save lives.\"\n\nMinuba Mazari, fondly called the iron lady of Pakistan, at 21,as left paralyzed from the hip down after surviving a tragic car accident. Her backbone was crushed and she sustained multiple fractures to her arm, shoulder, ribs and collarbone. Doctors told her that she would be unable to walk, paint, or give birth; this left her devastated and questioning her existence in the world. “You know, when you end up being on the wheelchair, what’s the most painful thing. People think that they will not be accepted by the people because we in the world perfect people are imperfects. So I decided to appear more in public.” Mazari said this about her accident,“…that day I decided that I’m going to live life for myself. I am not going to be that perfect person for someone. I owe him all the credits for having made me fall in love with reading books. Ever since I picked his first book, \"Sapiens - A brief history of humankind\",I couldn't lay my hands off it. I found Sapiens to be a book that explains complex issues in a way which can actually be understood and comprehended by most people. And it does that in a beautiful way. It is one of those books that when you read you feel your IQ sky-rocket. Some of his popular quotes that narrate this point of view are:\n\n“Ever since the Cognitive Revolution, Sapiens have thus been living in a dual reality – On the one hand, the objective reality of rivers, trees and lions; and on the other hand, the imagined reality of gods, nations and corporations. As times went by, the imagined reality became ever more powerful, so that today the very survival of rivers, trees and lions depends on the grace of imagined entities such as United States and Google.”\n\n“Unlike lying, an imagined reality is something that everyone believes in, and as long as this communal belief persists, the imagined reality exerts force in the world. I spent weeks getting lost in the amazing maze of sci-fi bent reality after watching the trilogy. V for Vendatta was another movie that swept me off the ground. Yes, they haven't been able to deliver such great movies ever after, maybe, because they set the bar too high for themselves. Despite being the amazing individuals in the film industry, I'm inspired by them for having come out in the open in trans women. Why was I? Because I was never allowed to form an opinion. Almost all people that I interacted with were unfortunately all queer. There was no celebrity or role model that I had who was a queer individual publicly . And probably, that's one reason why so many people across the world are phobic towards queer individual and alienate them. The magazine, he says, “to give a voice to people like me who wanted to protest against the Vietnam War and the establishment.” That began his entrepreneur journey. Immediately after scaling the magazine up at a national level, he turned to new opportunity. He observed that record stores were seriously overpriced. So he started a mail-order record company called it Virgin through which he made enough money to set up record shop and a recording studio. \n\nExpansion came next. Virgin signed a bevy of big acts—the Sex Pistols, Culture Club, the Rolling Stones—and went on an\nepic decade run that ended with Virgin Music being one of the biggest record companies in the world.
