      "body": "I agree!  There are many good reasons for making voting a duty as well as a right. Often people think there is no need to vote as the polls indicate a  win for their preference, so why bother. Then the result ends up going the other way. One might hope that both sides would do the same and the effect cancel itself out, but that is not necessarily the case. It depends on many factors, which by their nature should not be influencing the outcome; like age, social class, education, etc. It makes the whole business a lottery as a oppose to an exercise in democracy.\nIf you want local services you have to pay tax. If you want democracy you should have to vote.",

They are the only predominantly Muslim country to possess nuclear weapons technology. And they’ve been implicated in sponsoring a number of uncontrolled jihadist groups, including the Taliban and Al Qaeda. As a result, Pakistan is a relevant player in international politics.\n\n## Pakistan is the world’s first Islamic country to attain nuclear power <h2> \n\nSo just how powerful is Pakistan? Well nuclear capabilities aside, Pakistan has one of the most formidable armies in the world which serves to protect their borders and fight terrorist groups in the north. Based on manpower alone, they have the 7th largest active military, and spend as much as Norway and Mexico on defense. However, Pakistan’s military has been a somewhat tense establishment, considering that the country has experienced multiple regime changes over the last 60 years through internal military coups. Most recently, terrorist Osama bin Laden was captured in Pakistan, where some suggest he was knowingly harbored. Additionally, attacks against US, Danish, and Egyptian embassies in Pakistan have shown that the country is unable to prevent extremist acts of violence. Still, in 2004, President George W. Bush granted Pakistan major non-NATO ally status, allowing them access to certain levels of the US military, as well as surplus equipment.\n\n## Pakistan has the sixth-largest population in the world, exceeded only by China, India, the United States of America, Indonesia and Brazil. <h2> \n\nEconomically, Pakistan is considered a developing country, and is one of the “Next Eleven”, which are countries that are poised to become the new largest economies of the 21st century, largely due to its agricultural industry. Pakistan’s GDP is about 230 billion dollars a year, which ranks it 44th in the global economy, but the CIA notes that the country is stuck in a low-income, low growth trap. What they end up doing with that technology, is what makes them so risky to the rest of the world. Pakistan’s top nuclear scientist and several high ranking military members have been implicated in selling nuclear secrets to Libya, Iran, and North Korea. So is Pakistan powerful? Absolutely. So much so, that in 1998 Australia implemented an annual, “National Sorry Day.” This holiday serves as a form of recompense, and it raises awareness of indigenous populations. So who are Australia’s aboriginal people? Well, Australia is home to many different indigenous populations. They include the Wiradjuri in New South Wales, and the Noongar in Western Australia. Aboriginal populations are often grouped together and referred to as “Aborigines”, however some consider the term pejorative. Instead, legally, the native populations of Australia are referred to as “Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders”. Some developed distinct tools like the boomerang, used for hunting, and the didgeridoo, a musical instrument which is still popular today. However, with the subsequent colonization of Australia, new diseases, violence spurred by racism, and oppressive land-use policies devastated many of the traditional societies. \n\n## In 2011, 11 per cent of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people spoke an Indigenous language at home <h2> \n\nCurrently, aboriginal people account for just 3% of the Australian population. Only about 75 aboriginal languages still remain, and many are in danger of dying out completely. Up until several decades ago, Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders, faced extreme racism, and government encroachment on their territories. Many were not given Australian citizenship, nor federal suffrage until the mid 20th century. Also, during that time, the Australian government supported forcibly taking aboriginal children away from their parents. The reason for such policies varied, but many claimed it was for “child protection” and “resocialization”. The children taken away from their homes were eventually known as the “Stolen Generation”, and were often raised to be domestic servants and laborers. The government has since formally apologized for their part in creating the “Stolen Generation”, and “National Sorry Day” is specifically in honor of them. Although in modern times, there has been a huge change in the government’s attitudes towards Aboriginal people, high rates of unemployment, poverty, crime, and health problems for the populations persist. Aboriginal representation in the Australian government also remains low.
