There are things in life I am skeptical about, things I _believe_ in, and things I **KNOW** through personal experience. Belief and skepticism, for me, can tread a thin line, but **KNOWING**, that's absolute.\n<br>\nWhen I first heard about lucid dreaming, it sounded too good to be true. So good in fact that I wanted so so badly for it to be real. I was skeptical. Deep down I really doubted it's truth, but I also believed that maybe, just maybe it WAS possible.\n <br>\nInstead of stopping at a belief, I will explore something until I experience it as truth or not truth. So, I practiced hard to achieve a lucid dream. Guess what- I had one! So not only do I believe in lucid dreaming, I experienced it for myself, so I also know to my innermost self that it is real.\n<br>\nNow about astral projection. I don't know about you, but my first encounter with this idea was in the movie insidious, which was terrifying and hopefully just a made up story. No thank you. I would not like to be trapped in some nightmare world while some \"entity\" takes over my body and traps me in some eternal demon hell.\n<br>\n**It wasn't until recently, while reading up on lucid dreams, that I was presented with the term \"astral travel.\"**\n\n<blockquote cite=\"http://www.wikihow.com/Perform-Astral-Projection\">\n\"Astral projection refers to an out-of-body-experience (OBE) during which the astral body leaves the physical body and travels to the astral plane. People often experience this state during illness or when involved in a near death experience, but it is also possible to practice astral projection at will.\"\n</blockquote>\n<br>\nAs I open myself up to the idea, I find myself practicing different techniques and allowing myself to move any doubt to the side- at least temporarily.  Like I said earlier, it's the evidence or knowing I need to fully accept the existence of something.  Right now I would call myself a believer. I have experienced the sensations of my astral body during deep trance meditation. I have also come across my own evidence and knowing that my existence is infinite. So I could say I have a STRONG belief that I can go on some really wild astral trip. Still, I can't tell you from experience-yet.       "body": "I really couldn't agree more. Astrology seems to be more of a description of the story we are living out in the body. The primary triad is the story of \"ali\" in the simplest interpretation of a natal chart.  It is just an expression of a moment of time. Inside I understand that what I am really is not something to be described in a natal chart. However, when looking at an entire chart, each person has all of the 12 signs and all of the planets.  We have aspects of every single sign within all of us.  It shows where the archetype or energy of each sign is playing out in each area of ones life. For example, I have Leo in the area of my chart that symbolizes home roots and family.  It's really quite interesting. I would be glad to read your chart for you.  Maybe it would surprise you, or maybe not. Worth a shot!\n\nMuch love, thanks for the reply!",

Tarot also has this symbolic reference to ourselves.\n\nIt's not 100% accurate, it's a personality model of approximating certain traits the can be applied in various degrees of accuracy to different people. I find many aspects of myself in other signs, not just my own. It's not truly accurate to describe yourself. It's symbolism to describe parts of ourselves. At least the name of it!**\n\n \nI'll admit it,  whenever I would start to date someone I would look up our sign compatibility. It seemed  there was some truth to astrology but I didn't read horoscopes or any collect books. I can remember having a conversation with a friend about our \"signs\" and she asked me what my moon sign was. Say what? That was a little too out there for me. She offered to find out for me but I politely declined and that was that.  I wasn't being rude! I just didn't care and it seemed wayyyyyyyy too hippie nonsense for me. \n\nThe reality was that I thought I knew what astrology was but I actually had no idea. I was misinformed and uneducated. I'll admit it. I thought astrology was sun signs and horoscopes. I know many people who either don't relate at all to their sun sign, or think the descriptions of the signs are too vague to back up any real truth. Not only that, but many people who relate to their sign also relate to the characteristics of the other signs. Kind of takes the magic out of it, no?\n\nThere are so many important factors in astrology. I kid you not I had a spiritual experience when I had my natal chart read.  The chart is a picture of the sky at the exact moment you were born. It's like a blueprint of your soul. It's specific to you and you only unlike identifying with a single sun sign.  It gave me an incredible amount of insight on how I tick, inside and out. When that happens, what goes on in your mind? Do you think \"whoa I was just thinking about them. That's fucking weird.\" Does your rational mind kick in shortly after and dismiss it as a coincidence?</p>\n\n\n\nAccording to the <a href=\"http://coincider.com/blog/weird-coincidence-survey-results/\">weird coincidence survey </a>, the most common coincidences are-\n \n\n<ul type=\"circle\">\n    <li><sup>I think of a question only to have it answered by an external source (i.e. radio, TV, or other people) before I can ask it</sup></li>\n    <li><sup>I think of an idea and hear or see it on the radio, TV, or Internet.</sup></li>\n<li><sup>I think of calling someone, only to have that person unexpectedly call me.</sup> </li>\n<li><sup>I advance in my work/career/education by being in the right place at the right time. </sup></li>\n<li><sup> I need something, and the need is then met without my having to do anything.</sup></li>\n<li> <sup>I am introduced to people who unexpectedly further my work/career.</sup></li>\n<li><sup>I run into a friend in an out-of-the-way place.</sup></li>\n<li><sup> When my phone rings, I know who is calling without checking the screen or using personalized ring tones.</sup></li>\n<li><sup> I think about someone and then that person unexpectedly drops by my house or office, or passes me in the hall or street.</sup></li>\n<li><sup> When my phone rings, I know who is calling without checking the screen or using personalized ring tones.\n</sup></li>\n<li> <sup>I experience strong emotions or physical sensations that were simultaneously experienced at a distance by someone I love.</sup></li></ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I Invite you, for just the next couple of minutes, to tell your rational mind to take a hike. A little time out. It can come right back, promise! For the first 25 years of my life (I'm 26 now, so really almost my entire life) I encountered plenty of coincidences.  Sometimes I would experience a chain of them so eerie that I would even play with the idea of something bigger being at work. Not for too long, though. My mind can rationalize even the most obvious of clues.</p> \n\n<p>I remember thinking about a cousin that I had not spoken to in years. Not just thinking about them as a fleeting thought, but contemplating whether or not they were struggling with their sexuality. I can assure you that I had no reason to be thinking about this. Not only were they in a long term relationship, they also never gave me any reason to suspect that they may be confused. After years of distance and no communication, not even two hours later I got a phone call from that cousin. Why did they call me, you ask? Yep. To talk about their sexuality. It was so crazy that I almost didn't tell them I had thought about the exact thing that same day. It didn't sound believable it was too perfect.</p>\n\n\n<b>This year has been a year of many awakenings for me. Synchronicity is one of them. Because I started to become so aware of the unseen (not by choice, mind you) coincidences went out the window. </b>\n\n<p>There's an article on <a href=\"http://www.w3schools.com\">The Tree of Awakening</a> that states  <em> \"Most of the knowledge from your subconscious mind can never be passed to your conscious mind because it is too vast. So your subconscious reveals just enough for you to understand your world. But you must be open to receive this knowledge. You have to “tune in” to the universe. You must pay attention to your thoughts and to the world around you.\"  </em></p>\n\n<p>Before I started to become aware, I was experiences synchronicity left and right, only I didn't notice them consciously so I didn't realize what was happening. Anytime I would start to look at one of those \"chance\" moments, my mind would say \"Stop trying to find meaning in something that has no meaning, you're going to turn into one of those loony toons who see's Jesus in their burnt toast.\"</p>\n\n\n\n<p>   I've always needed to <em>experience</em> something myself to <b>KNOW</b> it's truth. I can <em>believe</em> people or ideas, but the real earth shattering, life changing, never see things the same way, awakenings have all happened for me only through personal experience. </p>\n\n<center><a target='_BLANK' href='https://ipfs.pics/QmQwCK6QG7ecwHL5BkCDx2t6zTsmAqfi9MdfSxkHjfXzRm'><img src='https://ipfs.pics/ipfs/QmQwCK6QG7ecwHL5BkCDx2t6zTsmAqfi9MdfSxkHjfXzRm'/></a></center>\n\n<p>Because of the significance of synchronicity, because they are so off the chain and utterly mind blowing, the famed Swiss psychologist <a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Jung\">Carl Jung</a> contemplated this phenomenon for almost 20 years before he coined the term and published his understandings of it.  One of Jung’s favorite quotes on synchronicity was from Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll, in which the White Queen says to Alice: “It’s a poor sort of memory that only works backwards”.</p>\n\n \n<blockquote cite=\"http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=through%20the%20looking%20glass\">\n‘It’s very good jam,’ said the Queen.\n‘Well, I don’t want any TO-DAY, at any rate.’\n‘You couldn’t have it if you DID want it,’ the Queen said. ‘The rule is, jam to-morrow and jam yesterday–but never jam to-day.’\n‘It MUST come sometimes to “jam to-day,”‘ Alice objected.\n‘No, it can’t,’ said the Queen. ‘It’s jam every OTHER day: to-day isn’t any OTHER day, you know.’\n‘I don’t understand you,’ said Alice. ‘It’s dreadfully confusing!’\n‘That’s the effect of living backwards,’ the Queen said kindly: ‘it always makes one a little giddy at first–‘\n‘Living backwards!’ Alice repeated in great astonishment. ‘I never heard of such a thing!’\n‘–but there’s one great advantage in it, that one’s memory works both ways.’\n‘I’m sure MINE only works one way,’ Alice remarked. ‘I can’t remember things before they happen.’\n‘It’s a poor sort of memory that only works backwards,’ the Queen remarked.\n</blockquote>\n\n<center><a target='_BLANK' href='https://ipfs.pics/QmR5tz9WJkW6AYixR8LnpxSHnw4Pv4vdpQPg3DkSBXbQKH'><img src='https://ipfs.pics/ipfs/QmR5tz9WJkW6AYixR8LnpxSHnw4Pv4vdpQPg3DkSBXbQKH'/></a></center>\n\n<p> It seems all these \"mystical and metaphysical....spiritual\" concepts are sort of abstract and vague. I've found the reason for this is that it happens outside of our everyday beliefs of what the world is, how it works and whats real and not real. Before I began opening up to how, I have to say it, <em>magical</em> the world really is, it all just sounded like a bunch of fluff.  The truth is, our perception of reality is small compared to the big picture, that these things, these <em>magic</em> things, really are happening, we just have to be ready to see it. From what I understand, human beings used to be able to see this reality. It was as obvious as the color of our hair. We have become so wrapped up in our own thoughts, that we started to ignore what was happening around us. Eventually our senses become so limited that we had to start literally relearning to see the things we have forgotten about.  It's a beautiful thing, really. </p>\n\n<p>      SO. How does one experience this magical place right under ones nose? It's simple, I think. The secret of synchronicity is to be “Consciously Aware”. If you are consciously aware of something you can immediately see and feel what others cannot. Synchronicity is a significant, highly improbable coincidence.
