I am extremely happy to join the steemit community. I have heard about Steemit this morning, not even a couple of hours ago and boom! \n\nThis platform makes so much sense. This is a whole new step towards the future and I am very excited.\n\nI know this isn't an accurate comparison but I always felt that Facebook is useless and I have no Facebook account since 2011. I woke up on a random day and decided to close my account permanently. As simple as that!\n\nMany of my friends thought I had blocked them on that day because they were unable to see me anymore. But believe it or not, I have been relieved! Not to mention that my ties with my true friends are even stronger now, we call more often and it feels so genuine.\n\nI know that this is not an article of value to many of you but I just wanted to share my excitement joining this platform. Now if you do not know what this means, it's OKAY.\n\nI have lived in six different countries over the past ten (10) years before relocating in Europe and precisely in Slovakia.\n\nIn the UAE, I have spent six years living in Dubai. \n\nI know that there are many people interested into living or working in the UAE so I thought I would use my experience in the country as well as my exposure in both IT and HR together and share my best tips to follow in order to land a job in this tax-free environment!\n\nI would start off by saying you need to make it to the UAE for few months, get a visit visa (if you require one) and book a cheap ticket there. If you know someone who can host, that would significantly help.\n\n**Now here is the footprint, once you arrive (bear in mind this is a low-cost plan)**\n \n* Buy a local number, top up AED 200.\n* Buy a Dubai metro card and top up AED 100.\n* Change the location on your LinkedIn profile to United Arab Emirates and update your contact information with your UAE number.\n* Browse job boards (such as indeed, gulftalent, bayt, LinkedIn), send out your application, make notes of each vacancy (company, job description, recruiter name, etc.) and follow aggressively over the phone. Mention that you are available on immediate basis.\n* Search if there are any walk-in interviews or professional events in Dubai you can attend during your stay.\n* Search well known companies in Dubai located in the circumference of Dubai metro stations.\n* Make a list of these companies and note the closest metro station that would lead you to them. Use google maps.\n* Make a ton of copies of your CV, motivation letter and reach out to these companies. Make a good impression talking to the receptionists and kindly ask them to deliver your CV to HR.\n* Include recruitment agencies and try to meet agents rather than handing out your CV when you reach out to them.\n* Connect with the people you meet and build a network on LinkedIn. I have heard about Steemit this morning, not even a couple of hours ago and boom! \n\nThis platform makes so much sense. This is a whole new step towards the future and I am very excited.\n\nI always felt that Facebook is useless, I have no Facebook account since 2011 when I woke up on a random day and decided to close my account permanently.\n\nMany of my friends thought I had blocked them on that day because they were unable to see me anymore.
