Lo que quiero decirte es… Te perdono.\n\nTe perdono por no haber estado allí, porque eso me hizo una persona más fuerte, valiente, perseverante e independiente. Te perdono porque en realidad no me hiciste falta en ningún momento. Cuando era pequeña y en la escuela hacían la celebración del día del padre, mi abuelo siempre estuvo allí. Si me preguntaban: “¿Dónde está tu papá?”, siempre contesté que no tenía, pero que la vida me había dado una segunda mejor opción. Él ya había sido padre, así que me enseñó absolutamente todo lo que debía saber.\n\nl nunca me habló mal de ti —a decir verdad, nunca me habló de ti porque nunca fuiste parte de nuestras vidas—. De él aprendí que debo ser agradecida por lo que tengo.
