      "body": "It looks as if things are starting to turn around already. The price of Steem reached a scary low price and on the same day, almost as if it was coordinated it jumped up 30% up. I realize that to many the challenges ahead are nowhere close to being done, but none the less chose to not lose hope.\nThe reaction and comments of my fellow Steemians on my last post, remind me of the reasons why I decided to join this platform and share messages of positivity. I'm aware that some of the things I say are not for everyone, and to some they seem like misplaced hope, but that's only because many choose to surrender to a more cynical side, and not embrace ideas aligned with gratitude and acceptance.\n\nIf you are still feeling a bit worried and confused. Take the opportunity to see the last days as a glimpse of what is sure to come. Markets are almost always cyclical, and this applies not only to cryptocurrencies, but also more traditional financial markets that exist. In truth, the technology of blockchain and the cryptocurrencies that have been built with it are destined for great things, but only for those who wait, only for those who recognize the opportunity ahead of us.\n\nIn my opinion, the best thing we could be doing at the moment is taking the time to learn more about cryptocurrencies and more specifically Steem. Understanding how things work, the value proposition of the currency in detail, does wonders to keep the mind at ease, I can guarantee that much.\n\nI read a little while ago someone stating that if a currency does not gain in double digits, then it must mean the currency was not any good. I think this way of thinking is very short sighted, and it does not take into account the way speculators and traders think and operate. A steady growth is sustainable. It means that the people who have chosen to participate of the market are willing to hold long positions, to believe in the long term vision of a project. The contrast to that would be the hyper rallies with double digits that more times than most are market manipulations designed to make a small group of people very rich.\n\nSo I ask you, and I mean this sincerely. What is your long term vision for the platform? Are you here because you understand how a blockchain like Steem can effectively change the world? Or are you here because someone told you this was and easy way to make money?\n\nMy line of questions may sound harsh, but I think they are necessary, specially in trialing times like the ones we are living at the moment. In truth, none of the things that are easy to acquire have ever been worth anything. Its because of this that I believe that the challenge we are facing is probably proof that this is a struggle worth struggling for.\n\nWe hear it all the time, we read things like this all the time. People who get scared and sell their holdings when things don't go their way. They buy into a project, not understanding nor willing to understand the system, but hoping that everything goes well. I ask you, Does that make sense at all?\n\nI have no doubt in my mind the recovery of the market is already underway. Most of the information available at the moment indicates that things are ripe to turn around. It's because of this that I call this moment, an opportunity. For contrast imagine how all those people who panicked and soled their steem for a dollar might feel at this moment. I bet there is more than a few who are feeling pretty upset, and it's only been two days.\n\nWe will have to wait a little longer and see what this week has in store for us. But I'm willing to bet that the Bull rally is about to start.\n\nStay safe, trade smart if you have to or do what is probably the best thing to do.       "body": "There will always be people attempting to predict the markets. This is not only the case of cryptocurrencies, but something that reflects across all of them. The techniques used are widely studied by people who want to participate of these markets, but mastering them I’m convinced is highly improbable. All the technical aspects used to read charts, the RSI, the moving averages, the bullish flag, etc. Might be attempting to predict market sentiment, the reaction of investors and not so much the asset’s value being traded. In other words, an unspoken agreement is made between those who are looking at the charts and a majority of investors jump in at the point of maximum agreement.\n\nI’m thinking of this because this says very little about the value of an asset. If you were to think logically about the value gasoline for that matter. I doubt your way of looking at its value would be to attempt to predict if others would be willing to pay the same price for the gallon. You know you need it, you know it’s going to be used, so you simply purchase it.\n\nIf you are wondering why this is relevant to me or why I’m thinking about this today. Well, that is because I think a token like Steem is very close to becoming a usable asset and leave its days of exclusive speculation behind. The way I understand the upcoming SMT’s are going to give Steem the much needed boost it deserves.\n\nI’m aware some might disagree with me on this matter, but I’m willing to backup my claims. An exclusive speculative market is extremely vulnerable to short term sentiment. If someone is speculating on Steem for example, that speculator is hardly interested in the long term valuation and a lot more in the short to medium profits to be made. This in turns gives Steem its current volatility making it harder for Long term investors to make the leap.\n\nI’m saying this not because I believe speculation is a bad thing. In every single market in existence speculators are what give assets their liquidity thus making them an extremely important element of the ecosystem. But a healthy asset class, and more specifically a healthy asset’s value should probably not be exclusively derived from speculation.\n\nSince it seems a little obvious to me at the moment that the speculative market is mainly driven by market sentiment, it’s also obvious that if someone would want to do something to improve the value of an asset, that contribution should be focused on improving sentiment. In other words, a positive representation of the asset, a proposed application, a working product.\n\nOn these respects Steem has a huge advantage over other assets on the cryptocurrency world and as such remains a blockchain no investor could really dismiss lightly.\n\nI remain positive about the future of Steem as I believe it’s right on the brink of a huge transformative transition.\n\n\n\nI hope many here remain positive and not allow fear to dominate. They are offering all kinds of free incentives including carpeting, furniture, and even automobiles in an attempt to give incentive for buyers to purchase. The numbers reflect how little impact this strategy is having.\n\nLondon is seeing the fastest decline in prices since the 2008 crash.\n\nAll is not gloomy. Other areas are seeing significant growth.\n\nInterestingly, prices grew strongly in other parts of the country with east Midlands, East Anglia, Scotland and Yorkshire recording the fastest growth clips in housing prices at 7.3 percent, 7.2 percent, 6.7 percent and 6.1 percent, respectively.\n\nThis is worth watching.
