Aside from the fact &nbsp;that recreational use was legalized this year in many states, let’s &nbsp;take a look back at the many interesting trends in cannabis use that we &nbsp;saw in 2016: &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n  <li><strong>Luxury artisan edibles:</strong> <a href=\"http://defonce.com/\">Défoncé Chocolatier</a> from Oakland made their debut and is one of the first businesses whose aim is to make dosing easier through product design. <a href=\"http://www.1906newhighs.com/\">1906,</a> &nbsp;a startup founded by Peter Barsom, is a high-end line of low-dose &nbsp;chocolate edibles created by cannabis experts together with chocolatiers &nbsp;and scientists. <a href=\"http://www.codasignature.com/\">Coda’s Signature Truffles</a> &nbsp;are beautifully handmade chocolates created by Lauren Gockley, a &nbsp;chocolatier who used to work as a pastry chef at New York’s Per Se by &nbsp;Thomas Keller. <a href=\"http://www.lordjones.com/\">Lord Jones </a>by &nbsp;Robert Rosenheck quickly became a favorite among discerning Californian &nbsp;potheads because of their superior handmade chocolate edibles produced &nbsp;in small batches.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n  <li><strong>Cannabis and religion:</strong> In the spring of 2016, the Jewish community in Oregon rejoiced when the <a href=\"http://www.jweekly.com/article/full/77375/cannabis-seder-changes-definition-of-greens-on-plate/\">first official cannabis seder</a> was launched. San Francisco and Los Angeles also saw the growth of <a href=\"http://forward.com/food/307808/pot-shabbat/\">“pot shabbats”</a>. Mormon twins <a href=\"http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&amp;sid=42061147\">Aaron and Nathan Frodsham</a> are lobbying for medical marijuana in Utah to treat diseases, despite the strict anti-marijuana views of their church. The <a href=\"https://www.breakingisraelnews.com/57663/orthodox-union-issues-first-medical-marijuana-kosher-certification-health-and-science/\">Orthodox Union in New York</a> made medical marijuana kosher-certified. The <a href=\"http://extract.suntimes.com/news/10/153/21096/first-cannabis-church-logic-reason-opens-michigan/\">First Cannabis Church of Logic and Reasoning </a>opened their doors in Michigan, with the intention of eradicating the stigma that is associated with using cannabis.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n  <li><strong>Cannabis goes corporate:</strong> The marijuana industry is &nbsp;worth billions of dollars, but it wouldn’t be that way without some of &nbsp;the corporate world’s brightest minds smoking their genius into it. &nbsp;Today, it’s undeniable that marijuana has become a major part of the &nbsp;American business industry, and it’s proven to be so lucrative that it’s &nbsp;attracted some of the biggest names to go into the green zone. We’re also looking forward &nbsp;to <a href=\"http://variety.com/2015/tv/news/amazon-highland-margaret-cho-series-1201661168/\">Highland</a>, Margaret Cho’s show on Amazon which is still in development.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n  <li><strong>Star-studded </strong><a href=\"https://cannabis.net/strains\"><strong>cannabis strains</strong></a><strong>:</strong> Celebrity strains are nothing new, although <a href=\"http://www.leafsbysnoop.com/home\">Leafs by Snoop</a> paved the way back in the day. Today we’ve got <a href=\"https://www.marleynatural.com/\">Marley Natural, </a>and <a href=\"http://williesreserve.com/\">Willie’s Reserve</a> , but more stars are putting their names on different cannabis products, giving them the ganja touch. <a href=\"http://chongschoice.com/\">Tommy Chong </a>released a line of high-grade medicinals, and even Hunter Thompson’s widow intends to create a line of pot products under the<a href=\"http://www.esquire.com/lifestyle/news/a51038/hunter-s-thompson-marijuana/\"> Gonzo brand.</a></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n  <li><strong>Pot fashion:</strong> High fashion just got even better, with marijuana making an appearance on designer clothing. <a href=\"http://www.vogue.com/fashion-shows/fall-2016-ready-to-wear/alexander-wang\">Alexander Wang’s Fall 2016 </a>collection &nbsp;featured tons of marijuana leaves, one of which was worn by actress &nbsp;Margot Robbie on Saturday Night Live. Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid <a href=\"http://www.latimes.com/fashion/la-ig-sweetleaf-collection-20161021-snap-story.html\">collaborated with Jacquie Aiche </a>to &nbsp;create a cannabis-inspired collection. During SXSW, Jenny Lewis came &nbsp;out wearing a technicolor weed suit that wowed the crowd.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n  <li><strong>420 dining and events</strong>: Marijuana and food just go &nbsp;so well together, and Colorado knows how to do it right. From joint and &nbsp;sushi rolling classes to upscale dining with pot, Colorado has something &nbsp;for everyone. Kendall Norris made a name for herself in Boulder where &nbsp;she redefined how we enjoy fine dining and cannabis with <a href=\"https://www.facebook.com/Masonjareventgroup\">Mason Jar Events.</a> In California, <a href=\"http://theherbalchef.com/\">Chris Sayegh</a> &nbsp;made headlines throughout the year with his delicious infused foods, &nbsp;and Chris Yang has been making waves in the food scene too. In New York, &nbsp;<a href=\"http://www.grubstreet.com/2016/03/99th-floor-marijuana-pop-up-dinners.html\">Miguel Trinidad </a>treats residents with secret-pop up dinners with the aim of spreading marijuana culture.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n  <li><strong>High fitness:</strong> This year, stoned workout have &nbsp;become increasingly popular especially with more people finally &nbsp;embracing the many benefits that cannabis can bring to your workout. &nbsp;Stoned yoga events are all the buzz, and the NFL’s Ricky Williams &nbsp;intends to add cannabis to your workout routine with the development of &nbsp;his <a href=\"http://www.mensjournal.com/health-fitness/articles/nfl-star-ricky-williams-gym-will-combine-workouts-and-weed-w208045\">Power Plant Fitness project</a> which he’s doing as a joint effort with Jim McAlpine. The two are also responsible for the <a href=\"https://420games.org/\">420 Games</a> which will expand to 10 cities by next year.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n  <li><strong>Certified pesticide-free cannabis:</strong> Consuming pot &nbsp;that’s been grown with pesticides will just negate all the health &nbsp;benefits you can obtain from the plant. Pesticide use has long been a &nbsp;sticky issue, but for the first time ever the <a href=\"https://www.organicca.org/\">Organic Cannabis Association</a> in Colorado created a certification for pesticide-free cannabis.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n  <li><strong>Cannabis skincare and beauty products</strong>: Marijuana &nbsp;and hemp has been used since ancient times not just for its medicinal &nbsp;properties but also for its beautifying qualities.       "body": "<p> <strong>AMD's says its Solid State Graphics Technology will enable terabytes of storage on a graphics card.</strong><br />\n<br />\nAMD Radeon Technologies Group exec Raja Koduri holds a GPU with more than 1TB of memory using the company's newly announced SSG technology.<br />\n</p>\n<ul>\n  <li>You can never have enough memory on a professional graphics card, AMD officials said before announcing the company's next big thing at the SIGGRAPH conference on Monday night. Using what AMD dubbed SSG Technology, or Solid State Graphics Technology, the company will graft high-speed NAND memory to its upcoming line of professional GPUs.<br />\n<br />\nIn doing so, company officials said, it will be possible to connect a magnitude more memory to a GPU than is currently available. The GPU with the most memory presently is AMD’s Radeon FirePro W9100 with 32GB of RAM.<br />\n<br />\nWith SSG Technology, NAND is directly connected to the GPU core, residing within the graphics card itself.<br />\n<br />\n<strong>Why this matters:</strong> “This will allow us to connect terabytes of memory to the GPU,” said David Wattters, AMD’s head of Industry Alliances. The ramifications aren’t entirely known, but Watters said SSG is already making a difference in ultra-high-resolution 8K video. And no, 8K video isn’t just double that of 4K, either. An Ultra HD 4K video is about 8.3 megapixels. An 8K video is 7680x4320, or about 33 megapixels. According to Watters, current GPUs can play raw 8K video at around 17fps; one with SSG can play the same video at 90+ fps.<br />\n<br />\nAMD demonstrated such a scenario in real time at SIGGRAPH with one system struggling to play raw 8K video at 17 fps. A second system outfitted with a GPU with SSG could not only play the same 8K video at more than 90 fps but officials showed it &quot;scrubbing&quot; or quickly moving through the video as effortlessly as someone would edit 1080P video today.<br />\n<br />\n<br />\nA typical GPU features RAM alone.<br />\n<br />\n<strong>How it works</strong><br />\nAMD said that given the relatively small amount of memory in a graphics card today, the GPU must slice and dice workloads and then manage the merging of those disparate parts. When the GPU wants more work, it has to signal the CPU, which then fetches data from the larger pool of local system RAM or primary storage. This incurs latency.<br />\n<br />\nWith SSG, the CPU is bypassed entirely, which greatly reduces latency, AMD said. The company didn’t disclose too many details, but SSG appears to be based on a standard M.2 interface using PCIe.<br />\n<br />\nSSG would not replace graphics RAM itself, such as GDDR5+ or HBM or HBM2, as it would be too slow. The company’s new Polaris-based Radeon RX 480, for example, has about 256GBps of memory bandwidth on tap. The best you can get out of a single M.2 interface today is 1.5GBps to 2GBps.<br />\n<br />\nAMD officials said the large pool of SSG memory will aid real-time visualization tasks and also change how professionals work because that memory is also pervasive. A typical high-end CAD worker might start the morning by booting up their machine and loading a model, which could take an hour. SSG would eliminate that wait. <br />\n<br />\nSimilarly, the GPU can help stream 4K videos to multiple screens simultaneously, and it will allow graphics for VR headsets to be delivered faster. It could alleviate some challenges with delivering smooth graphics to VR headsets like Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.<br />\n<br />\nThe SSG memory would be treated as part of a huge pool of RAM. If the GPU can’t find its data in the local GDDR5+ or HBM RAM, it would then search the SSG. India is very diverse so don't generalize. Me and the Indians I know have good hygiene, we don't even pray to god without even talking bath first of all, and we pray to God daily so yeah...       "body": "The latest information from a group which claims to be ethical hackers shows efforts to trace the owners and identify the operation of the defunct HashOcean Bitcoin mining company, which suddenly disappeared with an estimated millions of dollars worth of the digital currency as investment from miner, is ongoing.\n\n“We are so close and we have been giving all of our Intel to Dunn and Cowan,” the group calling itself Kypertech says to CoinTelegraph. If this group which claims to be “an Ethical Hacking Group dedicated to preserving the safety of blockchain technology” achieves success, it will help those who invested their money into the now disappeared mining company to have their money returned.\n\nWhat are the hackers doing?\n\nThe group says that they need to perform injection and brute force attacks to uncover the location of the remaining data centers and also help in uncovering the identity of Hashocean's true owner.\n\n“If we had just 20 more hackers they could run the UA-ID found on builtwith.com along with the IP addresses associated across all hashocean and hashocean affiliate sites to find the owner or owners,” the group says.\n\nMembers of the group explain to CoinTelegraph:\n\n“Currently, we have 43 hackers working with us globally and we have uncovered three of the seven alleged data centers of HashOcean. Our top priority now is to uncover the payments processor to them and we have narrowed it down to a Russian area. We just received Intel on the Russian transactions we needed. We are currently tracing the IP addresses. Once we located a majority of them, HashOcean will cease and desist and either put their website back online or just surrender. We will ruin them and seize their mining rigs!”\n\nHackers claim they have been offered 100 BTC\n\n“They wanted to stop [us] finding them out,” the group told CoinTelegraph, claiming that the mining company offered them 100 BTC “to stop trying to get to HashOcean.” The email was sent by a “HashOcean representative” via the deep web using a self destruct module that deletes after three seconds.
