| title | Are You a Man or a Mouse? Setting Your Intention! |
| body | Welcome back! It has been a while since I made my last post. As I have mentioned previously, I have my own personal issues that are on-going and that sometimes those issues can bring me to my knees. This time wasn't an absolute drop to the bottom of the swamp, but it was bad enough to de-motivate me and make even the easiest of tasks appear like a huge monster that I must defeat. So because of all that and the fact that it seemed to be lingering way longer than I'd have liked it to, I felt somewhat stuck at a dead end. Normally I may take a bit of a dip which is expected sometimes and usually within a week or two I'm back on my feet and firing on all four engines, however this time the spell just didn't want to go away. It still hasn't. https://scontent.flhr2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/78804393_608809343191816_6978750165788131328_n.jpg?_nc_cat=106&_nc_ohc=Hd7JbLtc_8wAQkqKwwnyqxcOKgZD61kM4Er_AbZvBSdRmtHCUx2yhoFvw&_nc_ht=scontent.flhr2-1.fna&oh=23092535eb013d70c68377f197a83f0a&oe=5E8BB814 Over the last few weeks I have had the subject of 'setting intentions' cross my path a few times. I like to see this as a sign. Every now and then another article or video I came across would be talking about intentions and about how they can be a bit of a lifeline to grab onto when you don't seem to have the ammunition to carry on the fight, so to speak. So as usual I've done a little research and now I have ran out of excuses not to do something. Not that I had any real excuses in the first place, but my mind did what it loves to do, which is to try and choose the easy but less beneficial path. It has been successful to date, but now here I sit typing this sentence with the intention of moving things forward. Why does this work? My research indicates that when we set an intention, we are bringing the thing we want the most right to the forefront of the mind. We are making the goal (or the intention) the main reason for engaging in whatever event we are doing. https://scontent.flhr2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/79419688_608806696525414_5811340190303649792_n.jpg?_nc_cat=109&_nc_ohc=-bhfnwZ1bSMAQnqaayCHY4fYb-aRdTZDltjoBqTFPIVnBpk_P95qGATSA&_nc_ht=scontent.flhr2-1.fna&oh=18f2ed34f8596946f9291aac32e58586&oe=5E80FC1B For example, you may usually come home from work feeling really tired and emotionally exhausted. Your child is always eager to show you the homework or artwork or something similar, but your attention is always drifting off into distractions like the TV or the texts coming through, or maybe even someone else in the house is also demanding that precious attention. This is then bothering you because you feel guilty for not giving your child the attention he or she needs. So what you may do is set an intention. You decide that you will dedicate ten minutes at least to catch up with your child when you walk through the door. No distractions will be allowed. Your full attention is required. You write down exactly what you intend to do with that time on a piece of paper and place it in your pocket. Now you have made a promise to yourself and secretly to your child too. Hopefully it will be far more difficult to break that promise. Now as you pull into the driveway your mind remembers the promise, the intention and brings it to the forefront of your mind. You may take out the bit of paper and re-read it again. Now you get out of the car and actually carry out your pre-set intention. It's one of the best chances you can give yourself to achieve those many little things that when added up contribute fully to you not achieving anything. In my own current experience, I am struggling with waking up early enough to get my exercise routine done by a specific time. I am also snacking way too much on the chocolate treats at night before I go to bed (I actually take a little stash to bed with me too). That is basically ruining any cardiovascular work that I wish to do in the morning. I have found that somewhere in my very distance past I picked up a habit of running through all the horrible and negative things in my life before I have even got out of bed. It's very quick but it happens. This means I'm starting every day from a place of fear and insecurity. No wonder I find it hard to wake up. It's understandable but not essential and it's certainly not helpful. https://scontent.flhr2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/78964325_608807473192003_5105860948300660736_n.jpg?_nc_cat=103&_nc_ohc=WG-5AMy_X4wAQld9__3KPKsczXrKFDTxZ9dhIYbZ9eHX5lg5EWdKT6jCg&_nc_ht=scontent.flhr2-1.fna&oh=b2586cac50fe56a1c0006d8a0b431902&oe=5E8B141A We are all familiar with the idea of making a goal and then acting in such a way that promotes the achievement of that goal, but we may never even cast a thought to the millions of micro-decisions that must be made between starting the goal and actually achieving it. All those little decisions can help us slide backwards without actually ever really realising it. We may notice that the goal is not gong to be achieved and we won't even know the reasons why. For me, it's all the little decisions. Your mission is, should you choose to accept it, identify what you wish to achieve and simply write down your intention. Bring that intention right to the front of your mind before you engage in the action or event. Then just go and do it. A good example is when you may have to spend time with someone that annoys you. They may intentionally do it or they may not, but either way it is you who is suffering. So your intention may be that you're going recognise that words are merely sounds and you are going to smile. You are intending that the whole experience will be like water running off a ducks back. You are intending to make it easy for you. You are intending to make it even funny. This may be a very powerful tool to have in your tool box. I wish this to be at least a two-part post. As I have said, I 'intend' to write down my intentions and act upon them. I will give it a go and report back to you shortly. I will share not just whether or not it made achieving goals easier and also how I felt about it. I definitely need to change the game because at the moment I seem to be losing. I will see you on the other side! https://d.tube/#!/v/wing-man/QmUMgSWSvy9LeLLLgPaLbbymbt3t52Jz1gXjBCwotet8pK I thank you for reading this post. Let me know if you decide to do the same or have had success in the past with this strategy. There is a video too, so please check it out. I will be back with another post very soon. Always your Wing-Man, Paul Jackson |

| title | Loneliness Equals Not Good Enough? |
| body | Hello there! If you have discovered me before, then welcome back. Your support means so much. If you are a first timer here, then I welcome you. Sometimes life throws us a curve ball. Every now and then, circumstances and karma conspire with each other and you can find yourself in a state of shock, wondering what the hell just happened! It happened to me. Its happened a few times actually. One moment your life is one thing. The next, after some sort of event, your life will never be the same again... ever. You can only seem to fathom that one of these life changing moments has happened only after the fact. Sometimes it is only realised when time has passed and not a day since have you felt the same, or had the same life. I'm talking about the big ones. The events, the sentences, the single act, meant that from this point forward, your previous life is dead and everything you were familiar with up until that point has transformed into something alien and scary. When this happened to me, I discovered that each day had become strange and unfamiliar in an instant. I no longer had the same life or routines. I no longer lived in the same place. The streets were unknown to me and so were the faces. The people I spoke with on a daily basis were absent from my life. My environment had absolutely and totally been replaced. Never would I sleep in the same bed again. Never would I bathe in that bathroom again. Even my clothes began to smell different due to the new wash powder I was using. It's strange but I found that its those small things that added the extra bite to the awful pain I was swimming in. It was a horrid type of fear that I had never experienced to that degree before. Probably one of the worst things that accompanied my pain, was the isolation that happens when an instant life relocation occurs. I have always loved my own space and alone time, but this was near total isolation from anyone familiar. I had my children with me and they were a life-line, however because they were children I felt unable to share these scary adult themes with them. I couldn't sit there and cry about how alone I was feeling. I needed to be the strong one, because this life-change had also happened to them too. Over time, this strange and unwanted life that had been thrust upon me began to evolve into my new life. The new things began to gradually become my new normal, my new routine. The people at the new shops began small talk. So did the new neighbours and the odd passer-by on the street. I spoke regularly to the few homeless guys that I would bump into as well. Apart from those little and very valuable snippets of contact with others, I felt very alone. I felt lonely. I was lonely. https://scontent.flhr2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/74595289_575229483216469_4153114997343387648_n.jpg?_nc_cat=106&_nc_oc=AQnOag-mhFE2RVt9U1vFS-8S7rg6bx5Bvfr4K1jrOX8qIJ6FDZMzxWXCfhdNRZv-8UY&_nc_ht=scontent.flhr2-1.fna&oh=dd502358b38e2bb0036bfb8655a181d7&oe=5E64D0CC To battle this loneliness I threw myself into my 'commitment'. I decided long before my unwanted life change, that I existed in a painful world of my own creation and that I must act to rid myself of it. I have spoke about this in previous posts. In this process I gradually discovered something valuable and life changing. I found that what I labelled as 'isolation', could actually be re-labelled as 'opportunity'. Being largely alone and mentally isolated could mean that I had ample 'focus time' if only I could view it that way. There is the story of the climber, who, from the bottom, looks up at the peak and knows that between where he is and the summit is a mountain. From this point of view he has a mountain to conquer. Yet if he merely places his focus on the first step, then the next and then the next, he only has the next step to conquer. The next step is a far easier task to overcome than the entire mountain and yet if repeated, the mountain will be conquered. I learned that the way we view a situation has the power to transform the situation. The loneliness could actually be a gift that I could put to good use. How many people would give their right arm for that extra brain time to do something valuable for themselves? As soon as I re-labelled my personal situation, as soon as I recategorised my new life, I now perceived my loneliness as a quite rare gift. And so I acted. I threw myself into my personal 'commitment' and now here I sit writing this, and here you are reading it. This is loneliness transformed into positive action. The act of taking responsibility for my life and putting even the worst situation to good use taught me something life changing. I can stand alone. I can rely upon myself. I can find something good in a very bad situation. I had found a new solid foundation to stand upon. I taught myself that being alone can be turned into a dedicated mission in which we can improve and understand ourselves on a deeply personal level. Loneliness is not a label that means 'no good'. Loneliness does not mean weakness or that you are unworthy of any love or friendship. Being alone is merely a situation in which many points of view can be attached. I have learned that you can decide which label you attach to your life. https://scontent.flhr2-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/75610824_575229596549791_8994287002501251072_n.jpg?_nc_cat=110&_nc_oc=AQkPpvUItvUI7OKqjb7LSgQS1JcuywyvDXnsB1KEWETPiRqNNFygDEzyjK8FmN96Zn0&_nc_ht=scontent.flhr2-2.fna&oh=d0c9314af1d62f2b37bbcf08a3cce5c2&oe=5E6456B9 Mastering a life alone, no matter how long or how temporary it is, in my humble opinion, is one of the most useful skills that you can ever hope to learn. Once you are no longer afraid of being alone, it becomes a reliable space that you can always easily take on again. Being alone can be a reliable and safe place to return to whenever you need to. People may come and go from your life but you will always have you. You can always be alone should you need to. Make being alone a comfort. Make your time alone useful and profiting to you. That is how you will teach your own mind that this alone time is a valuable endowment. Transform loneliness into a dependable, time-tested and positive space and never will you be drawn into negative relationships or situations merely because you fear being alone. There is truth in the saying, 'Don't treat anyone that is comfortable with being alone like shit, because they don't need anybody.' Make your loneliness your superpower! Transform it into a gift for yourself. Its all about your perspective. https://d.tube/#!/v/wing-man/QmWbhL8eQEj6yfmdyjV16QGsUhxsz2ZGXyJF9tBGFFsTuo I thank you greatly for reading this post. Let me know how things go in the comments. There is a video too, so please check it out. I will be back with another post very soon. Always your Wing-Man, Paul Jackson |

| body | Hello and welcome back! As I am relatively new to this, I find that I am becoming more aware of how my fluctuating mental state affects what material I am inspired to write and how often I am able to post. Ideally I want to post on a daily basis but alas I am not there yet. Over the last four days my mood has dropped quite significantly. It was my birthday last week and I consumed more alcohol than I would normally. I impose strict limits on the amount of the old funny water I partake in due to the fact that it always, always drains me of any inspiration and motivation the following day. A year or so ago I was drinking almost daily. Before that I was drinking nearly all day, every day. Having plenty of experience with excessive alcohol consumption, I can say with near certainty that one of the reasons such a drug is widely and cheaply available is to keep the population in a sort of semi-conscious stupor. Just fuzzy enough to keep you running on the nine to five wheel. More of that in a later post. https://scontent.flhr2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/74936959_573852140020870_1913130617214599168_n.jpg?_nc_cat=105&cachebreaker=sd&_nc_oc=AQmYL-Rwxgdja_eYATrlkkhF2YaAGBY82XzIbdYHA7CXuxd_1LlEGTOQNvBQwe0NVYs&_nc_ht=scontent.flhr2-1.fna&oh=28dfefca421554d0830a871f0ee9d035&oe=5E2509F5 I know I have come far and I give myself full credit for my recovery, because at the time my efforts to improve myself coincided with a great tragedy that occurred in my life. As I have mentioned in previous posts, that 'tragedy' is still ongoing. Following my birthday celebrations I fully expected to lose a day of anything resembling my usual productive self, however it has now been four days and this seems very uncharacteristic for me. Maybe it is the combination of the alcohol and the ongoing 'tragedy' that has taken its toll, but when all is said and done it makes little sense in putting what little innovation I have into pondering that question. I must take responsibility. I must be response-able. There is not one person upon the face of the earth that can bare this responsibility for me. It is my mind, my life and my experience of my life that I hold in my hands. So on that note, here I am writing this post on the very subject of my temporarily perceived limitation: When the weight is too great to bare, how do we still manage to move forward? When my personal horror happened, when it was fresh and raw and so painful, for the first time in my life I was wrestling with the idea of ending my life. Sometimes it was so tangible, an option so readily close, that it scared me. The end of my pain was potentially only minutes away. There was no planning needed, the option was there and it was a real option. All I had to do was take it... and my pain would end. At the time, selfishness didn't even enter my mind. That my children would lose their father. That my mother would lose her son. I understand now, how sometimes people just end their lives, leaving loved ones painfully trying to fathom why. For me, to answer the question of why I wanted to die, there would only be one answer: The pain was too much for too long. But as you can guess, I didn't take that option. Because I was basically holding hands with Mr Death it gave me a tiny sense of liberty. A kind of 'I've got nothing to lose' type of mentality. So I did some searching. Every bit of research I found echoed the same message. All the wise men both alive and dead sang the same song. Every man and woman that has experienced extreme levels of crisis, both physical and mental in their lives have learned through their own experience the same fundamental lesson. I have learned it too and as I write this now, I am re-enforcing that teaching to myself. Just as they did, I can tell you what the lesson is, but only you can teach it to yourself. This is the key, so again I state: I can tell you what the lesson is, but only you can teach it to yourself. So here we go, this is your opportunity. This is your time: Real spiritual growth occurs right in the midst of your most difficult conflicts. There that is it. Simple right. Wrong! You cannot hope to practice only the physical exercise of yoga and expect significant inner change. You cannot expect to only meditate and transform yourself into a Buddha. You cannot visit your particular place of worship once a week and claim to have achieved a spiritually inspired awakening. Inner change, the real revolution happens within, when you are experiencing what they call 'baptism under fire'. The boxer only really evolves when the opponent appears invincible. When the bell rings for the final round and there's no more fuel in the tank. When all his life's dreams are hanging by a thread does he find out who he really is. He either becomes a winner or a loser and it is not dependant upon whether or not he actually wins the fight. When your back is against the wall, when all options are seemingly gone, you are still always presented with two choices. To sink or to swim. To stand or to fall. To push just a little more, even when you're certain that you cannot. That is when the boxer becomes a warrior. https://scontent.flhr2-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/74416389_573852946687456_5682703205369118720_n.jpg?_nc_cat=104&cachebreaker=sd&_nc_oc=AQnxsLPy909T3NYmK2wz1CKoz3bljW09GtGzagGbSuWg9lKpT4Omj2YGcxshDVR02RQ&_nc_ht=scontent.flhr2-2.fna&oh=ef666fbaff5fba83912a303e478e08d0&oe=5E16B3BD In the same way, your opportunity to evolve becomes clear if you first recognise that you are 'under fire' or in 'conflict'. When you cannot take anymore and the fire is building up inside. When the anger and frustration or impatience begins to flood your inner world. When the ongoing anxiety or depression grabs you tightly, suffocating you, crippling your ability to function or to be response-able. When the person you most dislike is all over you, scraping the inside of your skull with their venom. When you feel like you cannot go on... this is the big, red, flashing, neon sign you have been waiting for. This is your Bat-Signal appearing in the night sky, screaming 'here is your chance', right here and right now to evolve. Here is your choice, your opportunity to do things differently. I am writing this right now in defiance of what I actually want to do. I am choosing a positive action. I am taking the lesson that I read about, the lesson I then chose to use when my world resembled hell... and I am actively evolving by pushing in the right direction even when I don't think I can. I promise you, it is not the easy path but the reward is worth it. From this you will gain a sense of inner strength that isn't relying upon someone else's reassurance. It produces a feeling of steadfastness and of reliance upon yourself. You can walk through your life experience with strong legs that you know will carry you through anything. Why? Because you taught yourself. You showed yourself that you are enough, no matter what life will throw your way. You will have learned that the best person to rely upon is ultimately you. But I cannot teach you this. You must do this for yourself. Practice noticing when you are being 'baptised under fire'. See that the opportunity to grow is here and it's now! Then take the bull by the horns and be brave. Be courageous, be response-able, be a warrior. See your chance to evolve and take it every time. Be that boxer who thinks that there is not enough in the tank to carry on. Go and find out who you will become, just as I am. Just as I did when my life was literally a living hell. Do it and be brave. Do it and evolve. This is your life and I believe you can do it. https://d.tube/#!/v/wing-man/QmYb7URS215bWbPSVpUTRBUrRNUxTSKcfmSsM1SevTgb2Q I thank you greatly for reading this post. Let me know how things go in the comments. There is a video too, so please check it out. I will be back with another post very soon. Always your Wing-Man, Paul Jackson |

So the key is to find happiness within yourself. It's hard work, but if it wasn't then everyone would find happiness easy. It's the 'how' part that has people in a mess. I'm on my path. | body | Welcome! Come on in and take a seat. Pour a drink and relax. This post may change the way you view yourself for the rest of your days. If this is the first post you are reading, please take a look at my previous posts too, for they hold just as much potential for inner change. Expanding your mind takes courage, so hold on tight because we are going to find out who you really are! https://scontent.flhr2-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/72592991_563587134380704_4499032891723874304_n.jpg?_nc_cat=102&_nc_oc=AQlV_2gguTzzU8nS0Ci8ug5sAxxq8_xjBM-aQAABidtk-t856UB1muV1NfWQwK7J8mY&_nc_ht=scontent.flhr2-2.fna&oh=abdb5b3d426680b2ef0ff1408ea54628&oe=5E62A939 Imagine that you and I are sat in a room together. Now imagine that I asked you this question: 'How many of us are there here in this room?' You would naturally answer that there are two of us. Yes it would be true that there only two actual individual people in the room, however there is more than one 'version' of us. If someone was to ask us who we think we are, most of us would be able to explain our appearance, our personality, what we do for a living ect without too much trouble, but we missing a very vital truth. It is best explained by a story I learned about a monk and his student, walking through the forest. They both came upon a pond that had goldfish in it. The monk asked the student to count the fish and announce the answer. The student, eager to please went about counting them. 'Eleven fish, Master! There are eleven goldfish in the pond.' The Master then asked his student to count how many ponds there are. The student looked perplexed, because there was obviously only one pond. His Master saw the boys dilemma and began to explain. Each individual fish has experienced its life from the point of view of itself. Through its one brain, and two eyes it has taken in the world. The next fish has done the same, however its life was very different from the first fish, therefore its experiences have shaped it differently. The next fish is different again, due to its experiences and so on, and so on throughout all eleven fish. Each fish has experienced a different life and therefore interprets its world slightly differently to the fish next to it. Each fish has its own individual view of the world and consequently a different and absolutely unique view of other fish in the pond. So if we go back to the scenario of me and you sitting alone in a room, there is more than one version of you that exists. There is the version that you have about yourself (based upon your experiences) and there is the version of you that I have created in my mind (based upon my experiences). And visa versa, there is my version of me that I have in my mind and then you have also created a version of me in your mind. Weird right?! So back to the goldfish in the pond, each fish has its own impression of itself and a unique interpretation of every other fish. To make things even more weird, each fish has its own version of the pond, due to its life experiences. So the answer to the question: How many ponds does the student see? Each fish has its own interpretation of the pond, therefore the answer is that there are as many ponds as there are fish and each fish has a different version of each of the other fish created in its mind. That's a lot of fish and a lot of ponds! https://scontent.flhr2-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/74341566_563586987714052_640503928777080832_n.jpg?_nc_cat=100&_nc_oc=AQkNBsSYq5k5ALKiMBnVUqifkH-QfGCYXUsC4zv-kB8_yQv9SfzKfIxDR247lfh5B4w&_nc_ht=scontent.flhr2-2.fna&oh=bcfc2f3be425cbba3c0de837515adec7&oe=5E35699D So as we walk through our lives it is helpful to realise that your version of 'yourself' actually only exists within you. Every single person we meet will instantly create a version of you in their minds based upon their life experiences and also the available information at the time. Even the briefest glance or eye contact in the street, creates another version of you in the recipients mind, and you have a version of them too. Having grasped that, we must acknowledge that everyone we know, holds a different version of us in their mind. Your mother will have an alternate version of you that is different from your fathers. So will all of your friends and so will every single person that has ever cast an eye upon you. There are possibly thousands of versions of you existing out there in the minds of others! These 'versions of us' that have been created by others is further more influenced by things such as the clothing we wear, hairstyles, speech, social circle, social class, tattoos, our mental state... the variables may be infinite. The question to be considered here must be this: Based upon this insight, how accurate can any version of you be? The 'You' in your mind may be far more informed than the thousands of alternate versions that exist out there, however it is absolutely unlikely that you know yourself fully and you will posses a biased opinion. Thus your 'version' of 'you' is flawed and inaccurate. From this we can say that every other version of you is also not the true you. How can it be? It is merely a version created by a persons experiences. A uniform to one person may signify authority and yet to another it may signify a threat. Thunder and lighting may mean danger to one person and to another it means excitement. If we absolutely acknowledge that we are merely versions of each other existing within each other, then opinions of others should not hold too much value for us. We will care less that someone may dislike us for no apparent reason. The 'dirty look' from across the room will lack the power to wound us. When we nurture a goal, we may never again talk ourselves out of achieving it because of what others may think. My advice is to lightly play with this idea. Let it roll around inside your mind. As you go about your life, keep this new insight in mind. Know that there are new (and just as inaccurate) versions of you being created every day. It is your responsibility to make sure that those versions of you hold but one quality: Authenticity. By that I mean that you should always strive to conduct your life with love, kindness and truthfulness. This can only best be delivered from a place of authenticity. How can we be authentic? Read my previous three posts in which I speak about how being present in the moment, being in charge of your own ship, by taking full responsibility for your thoughts and your actions. Never reactive, but instead responsive. To be responsible equals to be response-able or able to respond. So take this knowledge with you and remember it for those times when we place a too higher importance on the opinions of others. Remember this when you set that goal and you notice that your mind is beginning to talk you out of it altogether. Remember this when others try to talk you out of pursuing your dreams. We are a thousand people to a thousand people and none of them are true, just like the goldfish in the pond. https://d.tube/#!/v/wing-man/QmZexhFUDxwr8vXM6TUfz4pLVFPS8hqfoVPhU3BAMuh3Ec I thank you greatly for reading this post. Let me know how things go in the comments. There is a video too, so please check it out. I will be back with another post very soon. Always your Wing-Man, Paul Jackson |

If this is the first post you are reading, please take a look at my previous posts too, for they hold just as much potential for inner change. Expanding your mind takes courage, so hold on tight because we are going to find out who you really are!\n\nhttps://scontent.flhr2-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/72592991_563587134380704_4499032891723874304_n.jpg?_nc_cat=102&_nc_oc=AQlV_2gguTzzU8nS0Ci8ug5sAxxq8_xjBM-aQAABidtk-t856UB1muV1NfWQwK7J8mY&_nc_ht=scontent.flhr2-2.fna&oh=abdb5b3d426680b2ef0ff1408ea54628&oe=5E62A939\n\nImagine that you and I are sat in a room together. Now imagine that I asked you this question: 'How many of us are there here in this room?' You would naturally answer that there are two of us. Yes it would be true that there only two actual individual people in the room, however there is more than one 'version' of us. If someone was to ask us who we think we are, most of us would be able to explain our appearance, our personality, what we do for a living ect without too much trouble, but we missing a very vital truth.\n\nIt is best explained by a story I learned about a monk and his student, walking through the forest. His Master saw the boys dilemma and began to explain.\nEach individual fish has experienced its life from the point of view of itself. Through its one brain, and two eyes it has taken in the world. The next fish has done the same, however its life was very different from the first fish, therefore its experiences have shaped it differently. The next fish is different again, due to its experiences and so on, and so on throughout all eleven fish.\nEach fish has experienced a different life and therefore interprets its world slightly differently to the fish next to it. Each fish has its own individual view of the world and consequently a different and absolutely unique view of other fish in the pond.\nSo if we go back to the scenario of me and you sitting alone in a room, there is more than one version of you that exists. There is the version that you have about yourself (based upon your experiences) and there is the version of you that I have created in my mind (based upon my experiences). And visa versa, there is my version of me that I have in my mind and then you have also created a version of me in your mind. Weird right?!\nSo back to the goldfish in the pond, each fish has its own impression of itself and a unique interpretation of every other fish. \n\nhttps://scontent.flhr2-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/74341566_563586987714052_640503928777080832_n.jpg?_nc_cat=100&_nc_oc=AQkNBsSYq5k5ALKiMBnVUqifkH-QfGCYXUsC4zv-kB8_yQv9SfzKfIxDR247lfh5B4w&_nc_ht=scontent.flhr2-2.fna&oh=bcfc2f3be425cbba3c0de837515adec7&oe=5E35699D\n\nSo as we walk through our lives it is helpful to realise that your version of 'yourself' actually only exists within you. Every single person we meet will instantly create a version of you in their minds based upon their life experiences and also the available information at the time. Even the briefest glance or eye contact in the street, creates another version of you in the recipients mind, and you have a version of them too.\nHaving grasped that, we must acknowledge that everyone we know, holds a different version of us in their mind. Your mother will have an alternate version of you that is different from your fathers. So will all of your friends and so will every single person that has ever cast an eye upon you. There are possibly thousands of versions of you existing out there in the minds of others!\n\nThese 'versions of us' that have been created by others is further more influenced by things such as the clothing we wear, hairstyles, speech, social circle, social class, tattoos, our mental state... the variables may be infinite. The question to be considered here must be this: Based upon this insight, how accurate can any version of you be?\nThe 'You' in your mind may be far more informed than the thousands of alternate versions that exist out there, however it is absolutely unlikely that you know yourself fully and you will posses a biased opinion. Thus your 'version' of 'you' is flawed and inaccurate. From this we can say that every other version of you is also not the true you. How can it be? | title | Wanting Mindfulness? Play the The Avatar Game! |
| body | Hello there you beautiful person! If you have read my blog before, then please accept my thanks. If you are a newcomer then: Welcome! This could be a big day for you. You must be here for a reason. Something has led you here and that means this post is meant for you. My last two posts have been largely about how important it is to be present in your life. Why functioning with the auto-pilot switch constantly turned on is damaging for you. I spoke about the monkey in your head that may be running the show and how you can take control away from the little scamp. For this post I'm going to speak about a game I developed that, when played often enough, will strengthen your ability to remain in the present. Because it is a fun game, it doesn't feel like hard work or a chore. For when we have fun, the natural learning process is most fluid and unconscious. That is when real learning remains with us. This is learning in the moment and it has the power to change us instantly. So read on dear reader, there is an inner revolution waiting to happen! https://scontent.flhr2-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/71947424_557180021688082_9207206364068184064_n.jpg?_nc_cat=111&_nc_oc=AQnoB7XtWuNSSckulvAoRCssRonElqN2I3OvdMDRB71QnYGj8IE01BKzmC6sGjVSR44&_nc_ht=scontent.flhr2-2.fna&oh=549f3d8a258314416da960c907d83dd9&oe=5E347B13 As you can guess from the title of this post, my game is called the Avatar Game. In this context an avatar is what video gamers refer to as the game character that represents you. It is the character that you control in the game. You determine the actions of the character. You are the puppeteer so to speak. Have you ever played a Virtual Reality game? If not, I encourage you to do so. It is really amazing. Experiencing just five minutes of a VR game will help you understand my Avatar Game on a deeper level. So if you can, give it a go! If you haven't had the opportunity, just go online and watch videos of others playing VR games and you'll get the idea, but there's nothing like doing it yourself. When a person tries VR for the very first time, they are shocked to say the least. Your mind becomes absolutely convinced that the new (virtual) reality is real. The heights feel real, the enemies seem real and the sounds appear real. The fear of falling, the fear of dying all have the surreal taste of reality there, but at the same time you intrinsically know that you can stop the game and pull off the goggles at any time. Many times when playing VR you just become amazed at how real it all appears. It is like walking through a portal into a new reality. Usually as soon as you realise that you have virtual hands, all you can do is stare at them for a moment. Then you begin to swirl them around, make fists and test out the environment. It's not uncommon to literally spend five minutes of whatever game you're playing, just performing and experimenting with these new virtual hands. You may then notice that you have feet. Then you notice that you have a body and can move around in the environment. Many games provide a virtual mirror, just because the exploring of your new virtual body is a game all by itself. I pretty much guarantee that if you find a mirror, you're going to end up doing a silly dance, just to see your virtual self in action. It's irresistible! Some VR games (to teach you the controls) have tasks that are pretty much the same mundane things we do in our real lives every day. In fact some games are literally just doing tasks that we might do everyday. For example, making and serving drinks or food, or playing simple games like throwing and catching an object. They have you switching on things, pushing buttons, pulling handles, throwing items, ducking down, bending from side to side ect. Then things get even more interesting because more often than not we must interact with other characters in the game, or even real people from elsewhere in the world who are doing exactly the same thing as you, which is using an avatar to play a game. https://scontent.flhr2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/72463264_557180275021390_2941759552141393920_n.jpg?_nc_cat=106&_nc_oc=AQnSWMgSHks3bC1ZJ3a17mNPtsH3gqapmktd9PenXItG8A1uzG4yVS4Zg-FIROiZWsg&_nc_ht=scontent.flhr2-1.fna&oh=396349ad736c26f298bc51bd0bbf7d6f&oe=5E23B25A My point here is that in our real lives, we would hardly ever find our own hands something to marvel at. We've seen them before and we are no longer amazed by them. Our reflection in the clothing shop mirror does not make us want to dance in front of it. Pushing buttons on a laptop no longer holds us in awe. In our everyday comings and goings we do not feel the same amazement of opening a door and walking into another room and yet if we experienced this in a virtual world we would be astonished and entertained. Why is this? Why do we react to a virtual world with such enthusiasm? I feel that we are amazed by the virtual world simply because we have lost the grip on our true nature. We have learned over the years that only the new and the outstanding events are remarkable. We have learned that the everyday events are just everyday events. When a bird flits down from above and catches the eye of a child, it is an absolute wonder. The child is seeing something never seen before, a small and fluffy thing that swoops in from the big blue higher place. The child can see the colours of this beautiful entity and the sweet language that it speaks. The child has no words in its mind for it is far too young. It merely experiences it. The sights, the sounds and the feelings. This tiny entity has lifted the child into a world of joy and adventurous excitement. To the child, this is the same as coming face to face with God. As the child grows older, he or she learns the word for this wonderful thing is 'bird' and that there are many and are not unique. What a tragedy to have lost this wonderment! What a shame it is to learn that something is normal or unremarkable. We have forgotten that everything is temporary. Never will the person I see in the mirror, ever re-appear upon the face of this earth again, and neither will the person that stares back at you. It cannot be argued any other way. You, me and every single living and non-living thing shall have its time and then it will deteriorate and it will appear as if it were never here at all. The soil we walk upon is made up from the things that were here before us, broken down into their smaller parts. Look at microscopic images of sand from any beach or desert and see what it is made from. Broken down parts of things that were here before. Now look at your hands. Look at your reflection. See that you are absolutely unique. Realise that you are a one off piece of art and that you have a specified time here. There is no argument that anybody can put forward to refute this. It is a universal truth. If we treat our existence as temporary, if we really grasp that truth, we can begin to see that the mundane things are far from it. Standing in the rain waiting for a bus might be a horrible experience, but I know that almost any dying person would trade you that experience in a second. Your last day will come. Your last hour and your last minute will come shortly afterwards. Surely this is the only reason we need to lift ourselves up from this world of the apparent normalcy. The problem is that we may need to reverse this learned unappreciative mindset. It may take time, it is for me but I keep punching at it. I'm a persistent practitioner. So now it is time for you to learn the Avatar Game and bring back some of that wonderment we felt as children. Why not! It was fun then and it can be fun now. Growing up is a trap as they say, and I totally agree. So lets play with life. The Avatar Game: Just like VR you need to get into the mindset that your eyes are your VR goggles. So get behind them. Realise that you are controlling this puppet avatar. We all are, because if I am no longer here (dead) then my avatar would be nothing but an inanimate bag of skin, tissue and bone. No controller means no avatar. Realise that you control your hands and you can explore your environment. Whenever you find that you have drifted off into auto-pilot and the monkey is driving the train, just congratulate yourself that you have noticed and get back to playing the game. Just like the VR game, nothing happens unless you take the controls. So take responsibility of your avatar and play the game. Do it today, do it now. Go about your life, go to work, speak to people and interact with the world around you, but do it as often as you can from the truthful standpoint that you are the controller of your avatar. A conscious controller, an alert player. Make that drink with those hands that you control, walk with those feet that are yours, play the game and make it fun. Without you the avatar is dead. You and your avatar are separate things. When you have passed on, you're avatar will still exist for short while but it will be what it always was. Just a shell you inhabit whilst you are here. It is merely the car you get into. It is suit you put on and nothing more. You are the key. You are what makes the avatar animated. You are the snail within the shell. This game will help you practice the state of mindfulness which is essential in maintaining a life of responsibility instead of a life that is only ever expressed in reaction. Practice the Avatar Game and you will improve the experience of your life. This existence may be temporary but it is also a great privilege. This practice cultivates an appreciation of life. Try it for yourself. Suck it and see! https://d.tube/#!/v/wing-man/QmYq3ztkTtQMg5ZYrpoVNxF14qKe1o6k2PhS48EsuoFJbh I thank you greatly for reading this post. Let me know how things go in the comments. "body": "Hello there you beautiful person!\n\nIf you have read my blog before, then please accept my thanks. If you are a newcomer then: Welcome! This could be a big day for you. You must be here for a reason. Something has led you here and that means this post is meant for you.\nMy last two posts have been largely about how important it is to be present in your life. Why functioning with the auto-pilot switch constantly turned on is damaging for you. I spoke about the monkey in your head that may be running the show and how you can take control away from the little scamp.\nFor this post I'm going to speak about a game I developed that, when played often enough, will strengthen your ability to remain in the present. Because it is a fun game, it doesn't feel like hard work or a chore. For when we have fun, the natural learning process is most fluid and unconscious. That is when real learning remains with us. This is learning in the moment and it has the power to change us instantly. So read on dear reader, there is an inner revolution waiting to happen!\n\nhttps://scontent.flhr2-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/71947424_557180021688082_9207206364068184064_n.jpg?_nc_cat=111&_nc_oc=AQnoB7XtWuNSSckulvAoRCssRonElqN2I3OvdMDRB71QnYGj8IE01BKzmC6sGjVSR44&_nc_ht=scontent.flhr2-2.fna&oh=549f3d8a258314416da960c907d83dd9&oe=5E347B13\n\nAs you can guess from the title of this post, my game is called the Avatar Game. In this context an avatar is what video gamers refer to as the game character that represents you. It is the character that you control in the game. You determine the actions of the character. You are the puppeteer so to speak.\nHave you ever played a Virtual Reality game? If not, I encourage you to do so. It is really amazing. Experiencing just five minutes of a VR game will help you understand my Avatar Game on a deeper level. So if you can, give it a go! If you haven't had the opportunity, just go online and watch videos of others playing VR games and you'll get the idea, but there's nothing like doing it yourself.\nWhen a person tries VR for the very first time, they are shocked to say the least. Your mind becomes absolutely convinced that the new (virtual) reality is real. The heights feel real, the enemies seem real and the sounds appear real. The fear of falling, the fear of dying all have the surreal taste of reality there, but at the same time you intrinsically know that you can stop the game and pull off the goggles at any time.\n\nMany times when playing VR you just become amazed at how real it all appears. It is like walking through a portal into a new reality. Usually as soon as you realise that you have virtual hands, all you can do is stare at them for a moment. Then you begin to swirl them around, make fists and test out the environment. It's not uncommon to literally spend five minutes of whatever game you're playing, just performing and experimenting with these new virtual hands.\nYou may then notice that you have feet. Then you notice that you have a body and can move around in the environment. Many games provide a virtual mirror, just because the exploring of your new virtual body is a game all by itself. I pretty much guarantee that if you find a mirror, you're going to end up doing a silly dance, just to see your virtual self in action. It's irresistible!\nSome VR games (to teach you the controls) have tasks that are pretty much the same mundane things we do in our real lives every day. In fact some games are literally just doing tasks that we might do everyday. For example, making and serving drinks or food, or playing simple games like throwing and catching an object. They have you switching on things, pushing buttons, pulling handles, throwing items, ducking down, bending from side to side ect.\nThen things get even more interesting because more often than not we must interact with other characters in the game, or even real people from elsewhere in the world who are doing exactly the same thing as you, which is using an avatar to play a game.\n\nhttps://scontent.flhr2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/72463264_557180275021390_2941759552141393920_n.jpg?_nc_cat=106&_nc_oc=AQnSWMgSHks3bC1ZJ3a17mNPtsH3gqapmktd9PenXItG8A1uzG4yVS4Zg-FIROiZWsg&_nc_ht=scontent.flhr2-1.fna&oh=396349ad736c26f298bc51bd0bbf7d6f&oe=5E23B25A\n\nMy point here is that in our real lives, we would hardly ever find our own hands something to marvel at. We've seen them before and we are no longer amazed by them. Our reflection in the clothing shop mirror does not make us want to dance in front of it. Pushing buttons on a laptop no longer holds us in awe. In our everyday comings and goings we do not feel the same amazement of opening a door and walking into another room and yet if we experienced this in a virtual world we would be astonished and entertained.\nWhy is this? Why do we react to a virtual world with such enthusiasm? I feel that we are amazed by the virtual world simply because we have lost the grip on our true nature. | title | Anxiety & Depression - How to Stop the Horror Movie! |
| body | Hello again! If you read my first introduction blog or watched the accompanying video then I thank you. This post really follows on from the last one, in which I spoke about how you can take the first steps in making sure that your mind works for you, thus ensuring that you, the driver in the seat, is making all the decisions. The auto-pilot switch needs to be turned off as often as possible for you to be more in control of what you think and how you respond to your universe. For this post I'm going to focus upon the smaller mechanics of 'why' we may feel something. That 'something' which directly influences our feelings and therefore our actions. Once we understand the rules of the game, we have the best chance of success. https://scontent.flhr2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/71100686_550600709012680_4086612582725582848_n.jpg?_nc_cat=103&_nc_oc=AQmqarA9Xjc66BK5PauBO7vx_w62QF7vXvpWMtA8MFNJKtjr_TE1giuwQGxtiNwxmu4&_nc_ht=scontent.flhr2-1.fna&oh=738cc31a76d7e777bcde61710867e8a6&oe=5DFD445E For us to feel something there is a stimulus. It can be an event which is happening now, a past event that we remember or a future event that we are constructing. Either way, you feel the feelings in the 'now', as I have mentioned in the previous post. Let me explain how this happens. First of all, realise that you don't make all the decisions within your body. You do not consciously control your heart beating, your liver functions or your bladder functions either for that matter. You have the ability to make new cells all day, every day and yet you are never aware of it actually taking place. You do not make the conscious decision to exchange oxygen for carbon dioxide. It is a fact that there are things happening inside your body that you will never be fully aware of. For example, most people are not aware that when you take a selfie, it is not one person looking back at you, it is a whole culture watching and listening to every thought and action you take. Your cells, each and every one of them, respond to what is happening to you. They do not question the situation, they merely respond. Sometimes when I hear a certain piece of music (The Doctor Who theme! I'm a big fan) I get goose pimples. Why? Because the stimulus (the music) generates a feeling. That feeling is transmitted to the cells and the result is my hair stands on end in excitement. Of course the same can be said for the feeling of fear, for instance. We feel nervous, then the listening cells respond which makes us shiver all of a sudden. Or we see our favourite food and we begin to salivate. It is always the same. Thought comes first, then there is a response to that thought. It is as though you are the President of the town called 'Myself'' and every citizen hangs upon every word that you say. Every citizen of 'Myself' does exactly what the President tells them to. Whether the information is true or not does not matter to these citizens, for they do not question the President. You are the President of your town called 'Myself'. Get used to it. You were put in charge the moment you were conceived. Good old science tells us that our cells exist, as do all animals and plants, in a world of vibration. If something vibrates, it will emit waves. Just like the speakers at a big concert. If you stand anywhere near the things, you are going to feel your insides vibrate due to the waves of sound passing through you. When we speak, we are producing sound waves of course, but never forget that the citizens of 'Myself' are receiving those waves of information too. When we think, we again generate those waves of information and send them straight to the cells of our body. Those cells will always listen and will always respond. I watched a video online of an experiment, whereby you place two strawberry's in two separate transparent plastic bags. One is labelled 'Love' and one is labelled 'Hate'. To the 'Love' strawberry you say nice things to it daily. You also say horrible things to the 'Hate' strawberry daily. After something like a week, the 'Love' strawberry is still flourishing, whereas the 'Hate' strawberry has turned rotten and black. I can see exactly why the strawberry either thrives or dies depending upon the intent of language that is spoken to it. The vibrations are either nourishing or poisoning. It is the same with the language you speak to yourself, which of course are your thoughts. Remember: every cell is listening. The same applies when we speak out loud. Every time we communicate, we are literally sending out vibrations. Just like magic, one cruelly intended sentence can destroy another persons feelings. Obviously one sentence can also lift a person from hell to heaven. Just like a magic spell. As the saying goes, that's why they call it 'spelling'. This is one of the main reasons we feel awful after an argument. Just like the strawberry, we will actually wither from negative messages being received and we shall thrive when we are immersed in positive messages. https://scontent.flhr2-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/71858846_550588639013887_7134418124400492544_n.jpg?_nc_cat=102&_nc_oc=AQlNSgn2uKW_v0tIb0k2m1ebJiAPfm2raiKHRZAZXKWkLI_4WS0xu_J62Dq2f6B9qRg&_nc_ht=scontent.flhr2-2.fna&oh=eafde06ff384b62d427d8ab7272839be&oe=5E3491DB This is a scientific fact. We cannot help it. We are always sending our waves into ourselves and the environment around us. So is your dog, so is the TV and so are your loved ones. When you know someone well enough, you can instantly tell if there's something right or wrong with them as soon as they are within your presence. Why? Because you are picking up on their vibrations. The vibration coming straight from their very being. From thought to feeling to its expression as vibration. That's why we say things like, 'I liked him, he was on my wavelength!' You have felt this actually happening in real time yourself. How may times have you walked into a room and felt those 'vibes'? You just pick it up from the environment like a radio antenna. Whether they be good vibes or bad vibes, you feel them, sometimes very strongly. It is one of the most fundamental tools that is designed to keep you alive. With not one word spoken, you have an instant 'knowing' about a place or a person. For me personally, nine times out of ten, the gut instinct is correct. The sheep knows that the wolf is a threat without language. The elephant knows the poachers intent before the gun blows away his existence. We have all been with a group of people and everything is flowing well and everyone feels comfortable. Then one person joins the group and changes the whole dynamic. How? Because the vibrational waves the newcomer brought with themselves, are penetrating everybody within the group and thus directly affecting how they feel. We are conditioned by our culture to place more value upon words than our gut instinct, which is why we can end up in bad relationships or bad situations. It is simply because people said the right things and we possibly ignored our gut feelings that were picking up on those bad vibes. So now that you are aware of how these mysterious vibrations work, the next question must be: How does this help me with my mind? We have established that thought produces feelings. How we respond to such feelings is largely dependant upon the meaning we have attached to it. If a friend mentioned that you looked like you've gained some weight, you could find the remark insulting because you are sensitive about your size. If on the other hand your goal was to gain weight, the remark would be a compliment. Saying that your mother looks younger with curly hair, may seem like a compliment at the time, but your mother may take it that you're saying she looks old the rest of the time, merely because of the 'meaning' she has attached to it. When the mind encounters such a 'meaning' it will produce an instant story or a movie, that can, when given the fuel, go around and around. If that movie induces undesirable feelings, we can find ourselves in a world of pain. A cycle of thoughts and feelings, more often than not, end up on a loop reel, coming around and around, driving us into despair and making us weaker by the day. If we allow any undesirable movie to gain momentum, it is the same as drinking drain water. We poison ourselves. There is the story of the two wolves that live within your mind. One wolf could be named 'happiness' and the other cold be named 'sadness'. The one which will survive, is the one you feed. So the lessen here is common sense: Avoid consuming any poisons and do not feed anything that you want to go away. A poison in this context would be those thoughts that are unpleasant and harmful to you. A hard pill to swallow is the fact that it matters not one bit how much pain you are in, it will not change the outcome. Only responsible action will. It is absolutely healthy and normal to feel broken. It is expected that trauma leaves us injured. But we must push forward when we are able to. For if we never move again, then we are chaining ourselves to the pain forever. https://scontent.flhr2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/71166985_550588709013880_668933511310213120_n.jpg?_nc_cat=109&_nc_oc=AQncurZxzsiZ8mfZJABwVaKsYIQ6PQ23fophl6V2dnBzwZyYFNRAn49eEtQwvPwF2IA&_nc_ht=scontent.flhr2-1.fna&oh=cf012cf2376e8a44dd0e0c641881dbbe&oe=5DF2EC09 We must first notice that the movie is happening. In my last post I spoke at length about how being present in the 'here and now' gives you a platform from which to notice such movies playing along in the background. Those are the movies that bring us down into the dumps without us even knowing why. I have said allowed many times that 'I feel really awful today and nothing has even happened to me!' Once we have noticed the movie we can decide to walk out of the cinema. We can start to see what meanings we have attached upon events or experiences. We can start to see that those meanings are hurting us. The key is to realise where the movies are coming from. Realise that they are not real, they are only movies that you produced and they are not true. Realise that you do not have to believe that meaning. Do not dwell on the movie, for if you do, you feed it. You give it strength. You will poison yourself. Get yourself a alternate distraction. Feed yourself something else more healthy. Prepare pastimes or hobbies as distraction tools (mine is gaming or song writing). You must be more determined than the movie, because it may come around again and again, over and over. Realise that if it is not fed, then it will die. It will lose its power and fade away. You do not have to feel such types of pain for any unnecessary lengthy period of time. This is your life. You are responsible for you. Your thoughts and therefore your actions are your responsibility. There is not one person upon this earth who shares this responsibility. It is yours alone. You have a limited time here. Every second that ticks by is a second less than you had before. Everything is temporary and that includes you. Even more reasons to respond to your pain. Your mind spills out upon the world as you pass through it. It spills upon you and the ones you love and even the people you pass in the street. For the remainder of your life you will spill upon everything and every person you have even the smallest of relationships with. It is your responsibility to ensure that you overflow with the good stuff. Then you can share it around. That is called evolving. That is what is meant by vibrating higher. Put in the effort and it will pay off. You can free yourself from the majority of life's anxieties and pain. Every single sage, monk and wise-man knows this to be true. Your time is now! I saw a quote somewhere and it has stuck with me ever since. This may not be verbatim, but it goes something like this: “...and in her infinite wisdom, she raised her vibration, to alter the future event.” Notice the unpleasant movie playing in your head. Starve it of attention. Raise your vibration and alter all your future events. Thank you for reading this post. I am truly grateful. I will be back with another post very soon. Always your Wing-Man, Paul Jackson |

"body": "Hello again! If you read my first introduction blog or watched the accompanying video then I thank you.\nThis post really follows on from the last one, in which I spoke about how you can take the first steps in making sure that your mind works for you, thus ensuring that you, the driver in the seat, is making all the decisions. The auto-pilot switch needs to be turned off as often as possible for you to be more in control of what you think and how you respond to your universe. \nFor this post I'm going to focus upon the smaller mechanics of 'why' we may feel something. That 'something' which directly influences our feelings and therefore our actions. Once we understand the rules of the game, we have the best chance of success. \n\nhttps://scontent.flhr2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/71100686_550600709012680_4086612582725582848_n.jpg?_nc_cat=103&_nc_oc=AQmqarA9Xjc66BK5PauBO7vx_w62QF7vXvpWMtA8MFNJKtjr_TE1giuwQGxtiNwxmu4&_nc_ht=scontent.flhr2-1.fna&oh=738cc31a76d7e777bcde61710867e8a6&oe=5DFD445E\n\nFor us to feel something there is a stimulus. It can be an event which is happening now, a past event that we remember or a future event that we are constructing. Either way, you feel the feelings in the 'now', as I have mentioned in the previous post. Let me explain how this happens. \n\nFirst of all, realise that you don't make all the decisions within your body. For example, most people are not aware that when you take a selfie, it is not one person looking back at you, it is a whole culture watching and listening to every thought and action you take.\n\nYour cells, each and every one of them, respond to what is happening to you. You were put in charge the moment you were conceived.\n\nGood old science tells us that our cells exist, as do all animals and plants, in a world of vibration. Those cells will always listen and will always respond.\nI watched a video online of an experiment, whereby you place two strawberry's in two separate transparent plastic bags. One is labelled 'Love' and one is labelled 'Hate'. To the 'Love' strawberry you say nice things to it daily. You also say horrible things to the 'Hate' strawberry daily. After something like a week, the 'Love' strawberry is still flourishing, whereas the 'Hate' strawberry has turned rotten and black.\nI can see exactly why the strawberry either thrives or dies depending upon the intent of language that is spoken to it. The vibrations are either nourishing or poisoning. It is the same with the language you speak to yourself, which of course are your thoughts. Remember: every cell is listening.\nThe same applies when we speak out loud. \n\nhttps://scontent.flhr2-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/71858846_550588639013887_7134418124400492544_n.jpg?_nc_cat=102&_nc_oc=AQlNSgn2uKW_v0tIb0k2m1ebJiAPfm2raiKHRZAZXKWkLI_4WS0xu_J62Dq2f6B9qRg&_nc_ht=scontent.flhr2-2.fna&oh=eafde06ff384b62d427d8ab7272839be&oe=5E3491DB\n\nThis is a scientific fact. That's why we say things like, 'I liked him, he was on my wavelength!'\n\nYou have felt this actually happening in real time yourself. The elephant knows the poachers intent before the gun blows away his existence.\nWe have all been with a group of people and everything is flowing well and everyone feels comfortable. It is simply because people said the right things and we possibly ignored our gut feelings that were picking up on those bad vibes.\n\nSo now that you are aware of how these mysterious vibrations work, the next question must be: How does this help me with my mind?\nWe have established that thought produces feelings. How we respond to such feelings is largely dependant upon the meaning we have attached to it. If a friend mentioned that you looked like you've gained some weight, you could find the remark insulting because you are sensitive about your size. If on the other hand your goal was to gain weight, the remark would be a compliment. \nSaying that your mother looks younger with curly hair, may seem like a compliment at the time, but your mother may take it that you're saying she looks old the rest of the time, merely because of the 'meaning' she has attached to it.\nWhen the mind encounters such a 'meaning' it will produce an instant story or a movie, that can, when given the fuel, go around and around. If that movie induces undesirable feelings, we can find ourselves in a world of pain. A cycle of thoughts and feelings, more often than not, end up on a loop reel, coming around and around, driving us into despair and making us weaker by the day.\n\nIf we allow any undesirable movie to gain momentum, it is the same as drinking drain water. We poison ourselves. There is the story of the two wolves that live within your mind. One wolf could be named 'happiness' and the other cold be named 'sadness'. The one which will survive, is the one you feed. So the lessen here is common sense: Avoid consuming any poisons and do not feed anything that you want to go away.\nA poison in this context would be those thoughts that are unpleasant and harmful to you. A hard pill to swallow is the fact that it matters not one bit how much pain you are in, it will not change the outcome. Only responsible action will. It is absolutely healthy and normal to feel broken. It is expected that trauma leaves us injured. But we must push forward when we are able to. For if we never move again, then we are chaining ourselves to the pain forever.\n\nhttps://scontent.flhr2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/71166985_550588709013880_668933511310213120_n.jpg?_nc_cat=109&_nc_oc=AQncurZxzsiZ8mfZJABwVaKsYIQ6PQ23fophl6V2dnBzwZyYFNRAn49eEtQwvPwF2IA&_nc_ht=scontent.flhr2-1.fna&oh=cf012cf2376e8a44dd0e0c641881dbbe&oe=5DF2EC09\n\nWe must first notice that the movie is happening.
