What GoPro settings do you use!\n\n<h3>So for everyone wondering, here are my GoPro settings.</h3>\n\n![Alex-GoPro-Post.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmUAMGsyLUUQ7kUxXpq8wqX1VNS5sHYoHd9cfAKVvMEF4a/Alex-GoPro-Post.jpg)\n\nI use slightly different settings for both my photos and videos.\n\nSo I will show you my photo settings first and then my video settings.\n\n<h3>Photo Settings</h3>\n\nIf you don’t already, you need to enable Protune. But if you dont touch it, it will natively shoot in JPG.\n\n![AJW05871.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmfU7Mh2zDTSGBapJh7mRpJEfknM9g5N68e3c9GjEg3HSp/AJW05871.jpg)\n\n<h3>My Protune settings for Photos</h3>\n\nFor Protune settings, on the whole I leave these alone once they have been set, there are only a couple of things I change.\n\n**Color –** Flat (I shoot flat as it allows me to easily match photos I shoot with my other camera. If you aren’t worried about this then GoPro colour is ok)\n\n**WB –** Native (never change this as it’s easier to match photos in post)\n\n**ISO Min –** 100\n**ISO Max –** 400 (unless it’s in a really dark environment, then bump this up a bit)\n\n**EV Comp –** -0.5 or -1 (doing this will save your highlights, especially outdoors on really bright days)\n\n**Sharp –** High (I have found if you set it to low or medium and then add sharpness in post, it looks awful. It's easier than you think!</h3>\n\nFirst off, if you have a 360 camera use that instead!\n\nBut, like me, if you don't this is what I did to achieve my results using my GoPro.\n\n<h3>For starters you will need 2 things:</h3>\n<strong>• A GoPro</strong> (doesn't matter what flavour)\n<strong>• Photoshop</strong>\n\n• 1. To start with I took 2 photos of my garden and stitched them together in Photoshop. The GoPro shoots wide, but it wasn't \nquite wide enough which is why I had to stitch 2 together.\n\n![1.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmV9aMUJFcozBhEfEUyEdL1PojeJqeQU7B5ArxiddwN1Ej/1.jpg)\n\n• 2. Once you have your main background ready, edit it how you would normally edit a photo. Go to image --> image size and if the constrain proportions option is selected then uncheck it. Unlock your background layer and then go to edit ---> transform ---> flip vertical. Now go to filter ---> distort ---> polar coordinates and make sure 'rectangular to polar' is checked, then select ok. This is the stage that frustrates me the most, as I always end up going back and re-cropping the image. Each image will be different and this stage is especially hard if you have skylines/buildings in. This is the cheat part.... For this step, take your GoPro and find a subject to get a photo of. For this one I got my wife and daughter and stood as high above them as I could, pointing my GoPro straight down. Now if you are like me, this is the trickiest part! You need to cut out/isolate your subject from its background.
