| title | 5 Video Games You Would’ve Loved Playing in the Early 2000s |
| body | Are you a passionate gamer looking to play some good old classic games, or just wondering what people used to play in the early 2000s? Here are 5 PC games I had a blast playing in my teenage years between 2000 and 2011. Juiced Released on 23rd June 2006, PEGI 12 Juiced is one of my favorite classic racing simulation video games. It was installed on my first personal computer I bought in 2007. Juiced is completely different from the Need for Speed series. I took me awhile to get used to the gameplay but eventually I fell in love with playing the game. It allows you to live the life of a street car racer. You can bet your rivals for cash or gamble your car in a pink-slip race. You win or lose respect points depending on your driving and gambling. One of your goals is to form your own crew and dominate the established street racing scene. You can train your crew members by letting them race on your behalf. You can also organise races and invite rivals to compete against you. I played Juiced again in 2017 and loved it even more! Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 Released on 30th July 2010, PEGI 16 Inspired by real-life prototypes, this game is the best tactical first person shooter I played in my teenage years. The goal is to fight against heavily armed Mexican renegades as part of a Ghost Recon squad. The game is quite different from other first person shooters I’ve played because it requires great observation skills, attention to detail and a strategic approach to fighting the enemy. Need for Speed: Most Wanted Released on 25th November 2005, PEGI 3 Most Wanted is my favourite racing game from the Need for Speed series. The goal is to win illegal street races and escape being caught by the police afterwards. The graphics are much more detailed than Underground 2. You can not only pimp your ride but also tune it up to race against any class of vehicles. Devil May Cry 4 Released on 11th July 2008, PEGI 16 This hugely immersive game evolves in a gothic supernatural world and looks like Japanese manga. You play a teen hero with a huge sword who has to defeat colossal bosses. The gameplay and graphics are awesome. There are plenty of monsters you will need to eliminate with a combo of hits for which you are awarded a certain rating that unlocks new complex skills which you will later rely on to kill tougher enemies as the game develops. Diablo II Released on 29th June 2000, PEGI 16 An addictive RPG game allowing you to fight Hell’s minions as the Amazon, Sorceress, Necromancer, Paladin or Barbarian, each with unique skills and abilities. You will journey through four expansive realms, discover powerful weapons and develop your character’s unique skill set. The graphics aren’t crisp but the gameplay is great. |

| title | “Principles: Life and Work” by Ray Dalio, Audiobook Review |
| body | The book feels a lot like a linear autobiography. It talks about major events from the author’s past, including successes and failures the author has learnt from. In the beginning, the book sounded to have been structured well and the author’s writing style seemed quite analytical. The author’s voice is clear and composed throughout. I really liked it when the author states he doesn’t wish to impose his beliefs on the listener and that the advice he’ll be sharing may not benefit everyone. The author frequently speaks about how has helped companies run more efficiently. Most times, however, I struggled to extract value from his explanations unless he gave some sort of evaluation in the end. The author also speaks a lot about his company Bridgewater, its challenges and achievements as well as constantly evolving culture and management. To me it sounded the author was more interested in describing, explaining and at times praising his business instead of looking to provide knowledge to the listener in a direct and understandable way. Four hours in, the book appeared to have become an autobiography of Ray Dalio’s business and career. I decided to return it because the more I listened to it, the less I felt it benefited me. I wouldn’t recommend the book to everyone but if you are into investing, finance and business management, you may really like the book. |

| title | Hashflare Vs Genesis Mining. Which is Better? |
| body | Hashflare and Genesis Mining are the world’s leading providers of Bitcoin cloud mining services. Which one is better? Let’s compare the two companies based on qualities such as legitimacy, transparency, customer service, contract prices, contract availability, contract profitability, maintenance fees, user experience, and affiliate program. I will assign 1 point to the winner in each category. Legitimacy / HF 0, GM 1 Both companies are absolutely legitimate. Hashflare is based in Estonia, and Genesis Mining is based in Iceland. However, I’m inclined to believe that Genesis is more legitimate than Hashflare because it has been featured on CNN and Forbes. Transparency / HF 0, GM 1 Hashflare is fairly transparent but Genesis Mining appears much more open. Both companies use social media to inform and apologize about temporary website or payout issues. Both businesses have shared images of their mining equipment, but Genesis has begun to produce video content too. Customer Service / HF 0, GM 1 Genesis Mining is a lot more customer-oriented than Hashflare. Genesis is always interacting with users on Twitter and Facebook, whereas Hashflare rarely responds to comments and questions. Contract Prices / HF 1, GM 1 Both companies offer the most affordable cloud mining contracts, currently priced at $150 per 1 TH/s. Hashflare is known to increase its prices based on the value of bitcoin or if Genesis contracts are out of stock. Contract Availability / HF 1, GM 0 Genesis Mining frequently runs out of Bitcoin cloud mining contracts, whereas Hashflare has them in stock almost all the time. Contract Profitability / HF 0, GM 1 Both companies offer profitable Bitcoin mining services but since Hashflare recently changed its lifetime contracts to 1 year, it’s more likely that Genesis’s lifetime contracts will be more profitable in the long run. Maintenance Fees / HF 0, GM 1 Hashflare deducts 0.0035 USD per every 10 GH/s of SHA-256, whereas Genesis Mining deducts only 0.0028 USD per 10 GH/s. I think this is because the electricity in Iceland is cheaper. User Experience / HF 1, GM 0 Genesis Mining’s interface design (dashboard and tabs after logging in) appears more modern and user-friendly than Hashflare’s. In regards to the payouts page, however, I’d say Hashflare’s is more informative than GM’s. Genesis Mining displays only your daily earnings and automatic payouts (excluding fees), whereas Hashflare displays your daily earnings along with the exact maintenance fee deducted each day. Genesis Mining’s dashboard shows an ascending graph of your total payouts up to date in dollars, whereas Hashflare’s dashboard shows candlebars (rectangular columns) of your daily earnings in BTC before fees, allowing you to compare them to one another. A section of Hashflare’s dashboard also shows your projected daily, weekly, monthly and yearly earnings in USD based on your hashpower and the price of bitcoin. Affiliate Program / HF 1, GM 1 Both companies provide users with a 3% discount code, a unique referral link, and the opportunity to get rewarded for promoting cloud mining to others. As a Hashflare referer, you will receive 10% referral commission bonus for every purchase made by any of your referrals, excluding reinvest and balance purchases. As a Genesis Mining referrer, you will receive an upgrade of 2.5% hashpower. The more you refer, the higher tiers you’ll reach and the better rewards you’ll receive. Conclusion Hashflare 4 : Genesis Mining 7 Although Genesis Mining is the overall winner, there are few aspects in which Hashflare is better. What’s important for you and which one would you invest in? |
