| body | When we choose the 50/50 payout option on our Steemit posts, we earn 37% more than with the 100% Steem Power payout because Steem Dollars or SBD are actually worth today $1.69 on the market! Would you continue reading to see why and how to quickly change SBD into Steem and/or any other cryptocurrency? Here is the data from a recent post where we were kind enough to upvote it for these rewards. steemit payouts at 50 50 on recent post.png That is what payouts look like on the default 50%/50% setting. 50 50 rewards post choosen.png If I had chosen to power up at 100%, I would have simply received no SBD and instead double the Steem Power. I made a quick Microsoft Excel spreadsheet to show the differences. steemdollars 50 50 payout versus 100 steem power.png With choosing the 50/50 option and using https://blocktrades.us/ to change Steem Dollars to Steem Power, I get 181.365 Steem Power out of my 227.888 SBD! The reason for this is that exchanges like Bittrex have Steem Dollars available to be traded which allows anyone to just buy Steem Dollars on the open market. Meanwhile, there are a very limited numbers of Steem Dollars available because they are only printed from rewards on posts as far as I know. This has caused the rate of exchange to Bitcoin and the USD to be as seen below today. steem dollars coinmarketcap june 23 2017.png This means that while Steem pegs a SBD at 1 USD worth of Steem, trading it on the open market yields a value of $1.69 per SBD meaning that SBD today are worth 69% more than what they are intended to be. When exchanging for Steem, this consistently comes out to getting a lot more Steem with SBD versus just taking the full payout from Steem. If when you see this SBD are worth less than $1 at https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/steem-dollars/ then you might still want to get SBD anyway because you can use the wallet to make an exchange at the $1 value. Given that the Steem wallet will provide a guaranteed 1 SBD to $1 worth of Steem conversion, it is unlikely the price will ever go much below $1 for a SBD making the perfect scenario for SBD consistently be worth more than 1 USD. See inside the wallet for the options. Steem Dollars wallet options.png While I stated that I use blocktrades to change to Steem Power usually, Steemit has a market at https://steemit.com/market which lately has been much worse of an exchange rate than Blocktrades or Bittrex as seen below. Steemit Market June 23 2017 for SBD.png Changing my SBD to Steem on the market would have got me a much smaller gain than using Blocktrades or Bittrex to make the exchange. In summary, it seems logical to consistently choose the Default (50% / 50%) option and to convert the Steem Dollars. I personally am using https://blocktrades.us/ to convert my SBD either to Steem to power up or to USD via Litecoin sent to Coinbase and then sold to my USD wallet. In the last month, I have powered up 3676.264 Steem using SBD and sold $3081.92 to USD for paying taxes and contractors like @aarellanes and @gmichelbkk to help me with my posts! Thank you to @aarellanes for inspiring me to write this because yesterday ... Albert 100 percent power up.png I saw the Steem symbol next to Albert's post which means he powered it up 100%. I am not the first nor will be the last to post about this and I hope I have helped provide a quick tip today that helps you make a lot more off of your posts you were considering on powering up! Shout out to these authors that already posted about this subject and helped me to learn this in order to share it with you! PSA: Don't Select 100% SP Rewards |

| body | At the Consensus 2017 event in New York, BitShares and Steem creator Dan Larimer explained his project and vision to the crowd: EOS, a smart contract blockchain-based platform in which decentralized applications can be built, that solves some of blockchain technology’s problems. Get exclusive analysis of bitcoin and learn from our trading tutorials. Join Hacked.com for just $39 now. EOS, according to its creator, is a blockchain platform that completely cuts off transaction fees, and that is capable of handling millions of transactions per second. It’s potential is tremendous, if its promises are delivered, as it will allow decentralized applications to go mainstream and scale accordingly. Some already wonder if the token is going to take down Ethereum. The token’s ICO started a few days ago and has already raised over 650,000 Ether, nearly $200 million. The token’s ICO was going to last 341 days so as to avoid whales with fear of missing out (FOMO) from using their resources to skip ahead of everybody else. A situation that previously led to $36 million being sold in 30 seconds in another ICO. Block.one, the developer of EOS, has been great with marketing, as even Reuters and the New York Times wrote about the token. These factors have helped the cryptocurrency nearly become one of the top 10 biggest cryptocurrencies by market cap, as according to data from CoinMarketCap, EOS is currently number 9 with a $747 million market cap, each token being worth $4.68. Former Projects The token’s success is based on some astounding claims. These, according to reports, are backed up by its creators’ former projects: BitShares and Steem. Although he left both, these are still up, and have recently been generating large amounts of traffic, partly because of EOS. Dan Larimer first created BitShares, a decentralized exchange, in 2014. The project introduced horizontal scalability, which allows up to 100,000 transactions per second. Steem, a decentralized version of Reddit mixed with Medium, allows users to transact without having to worry about fees, by providing means to interact with the application without these. EOS incorporates a Delegated proof-of-stake (DPoS) consensus, just like Dan Larimer’s other platforms. This essentially means that community members elect “witnesses” that have the responsibility of verifying transactions. Some claim DPoS can indeed reduce transaction processing times, while others believe this allows a small group of individuals to predominantly control the platform. So far, some see EOS as a game changer that is set to take down Ethereum, while others adopt a more skeptic attitude towards the new token, with an “I’ll believe it when I see it” approach. |

| body |

You should start from now.. It could be a next big thing. Investors are cottoning on to the fact that. Ripple is jostling for a leading p in the new Internet of Money. But very few know what’s going on under the hood. While most are aware of the difference between Ripple and XRP, anything beyond that gets murky.

What Is Ripple/XRP?

On the surface, this is simple. XRP is a <digital, decentralised, alternative currency. You can bundle XRP in the same loose family as Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, and all their distant cousins.Ripple has created an asset, XRP, somewhat similar to Bitcoin, with a limited supply, which will be reduced over time. External investors and traders make transactions on this instrument. To have an idea you can check on the web for charts of XRP/USD or XRP/EUR or XRP/JOY or XRP/BTC (the rate between XRP and Bitcoin). XRP’s existence is confined to the Ripple system or architecture. After doing some superficial research, most people have to resist becoming a fully-fledged XRP nut. Individuals in the space compile charts far different from others in the financial spherea. It’s flashy. Unpredictable. And will leave you stunned.

How Much Do Investors Know?

Most people who are piling money into alt or decentralised currencies have no real clue as to what the underlying technology is all about. So, what’s going on with this one?If you go and visit the corporate site at Ripple.com, the first thing you see is the sales pitch: “Join the Global Settlement Network… Instant, certain, low-cost international payments”. Informative but not exciting. Then it talks about the Internet of Value. If it sounds like it goes beyond the Internet of Things, it does. By far.Alt tech and newly invented currencies going well beyond any government intervention is a symptom of the new movement to disrupt everything in sight for the sake of efficiency, but it’s only part of a much wider and infinitely more complex overall picture. We stand here on loose and unpredictable ground that few understand. Many claim to understand it all after simply opening an online account with some shady broker and pushing $10,000 into Bitcoin, Steem, Melon, Radium, etc.

What Is the Dream?

For a startup who received a bit of money in 2012, including from CME Ventures, Ripple isn’t doing too bad. They are now sitting on billions of dollars of value (arguably created out of thin air).Going back to the corporate site, we can read ‘’Using Ripple, banks can meet growing demands for faster, low-cost, on-demand global payment services for any payment size. The result: new revenue opportunities, lower processing costs, and better overall customer experiences.’’Faster than Bitcoin, cheaper than any alternative out there, able to easily surpass anything currently in existence and allowing everyone, everywhere, to ensure real-time global payments, worldwide, in real-time. If this is not a script for (financial) world domination, I can’t think of a better story line. We’re familiar with the Internet of Information – you use it each day to read emails and talk through Skype, etc. You have some knowledge about the Internet of Things, as tech companies push for all their products to be as connected as your smartphone.Welcome to the Internet of Money. Where money becomes information and energy, sent, morphed, re-shaped, shared, at the same exact moment, in any and all places, all around the globe. All the major international banks have heard the sales pitch and seen the numbers and in just a few years, they are now knocking themselves over to be part of the adventure. The fact that early joiners experienced cost savings on money transfers of about 50%, resulted in increasing margins and profits, sealed the deal and convinced all others. Now, picture this. You’re Ripple. And the CEO of UBS keeps calling you to make sure he’s in as well, you’re happy, right? Maybe. But keep in mind we have not seen anything beyond 0.1% of the possible growth curve. When you have the biggest players worldwide, from the Federal Reserve to the government of Abu Dhabi to Chinese billionaires, all pitching in… that’s when you take note.

Conclusion

On April 2nd 2017, XRP’s value was less than $1bn. And by mid-May 2017, it went above $10bn. This is, after Bitcoin, only the second alt currency able to break the billion threshold. You might hear that the bubble will burst, but it could be that it has barely begun. After all, XRP/USD is currently sitting at around $0.2704.If Ripple is able to deliver the goods on half of its promise, and in the span of 10 years, it captures one-tenth of the worldwide market of real-time money transfers between banks, the price of XRP is likely to not only reach $100, but many times that. Remember it’s going after the multi-trillion dollar. financial services market, which sees a volume of transactions worth $14trn per day. Stay connected for more

|

"body": "
\n
You should start from now.. It could be a next big thing. Investors are cottoning on to the fact that. Ripple is jostling for a leading p in the new Internet of Money. But very few know what’s going on under the hood. While most are aware of the difference between Ripple and XRP, anything beyond that gets murky.
\n
What Is Ripple/XRP?
\n
\n
How Much Do Investors Know?
\n
\n
What Is the Dream?
\n
\n
Conclusion
\n
Stay connected for more
\n
",

| body |

Have you guys heard about siacoin ?

You may have heard of Bitcoin and most likely Ethereum at this point. But Sia (Siacoin) is also a major contender in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space. As of the time of this post, Sia's native token, which is called Siacoin, is one of the top 16 most valuable cryptocurrencies in the world in terms of market cap. What makes it so valuable, and why is it growing so fast? Well, for starters Sia is trying to disrupt Dropbox and Amazon S3.Disrupting Dropbox and Amazon S3 is no easy task. Providing a better solution at this point would almost seem not possible. However, Ethereum has been literally changing the internet as we know it, and many more companies are capitalizing on blockchain concepts and creating their own solutions. The idea behind Sia is that instead of everything being essentially hosted on central servers, Sia's blockchain technology will decentralize file storage and make it open source. Sia will then allow companies to get involved and host their own private decentralized cloud and sell that as a service to their customers. This could in theory drastically reduce hosting and storage costs, and most likely will.Further, Sia will not be the one accepting payments from customers but instead will allow others to do so on its platform. Sia essentially provides the platform that will have users paying for storage and providers running their own private decentralized cloud. This could the beginning of the "hosting of the future" in which it's not truly based or entirely reliant on central servers anymore.Sia is one of the few blockchain companies that are very open and straightforward about their road map (Sia's looks quite promising). Within the next release (this month), the company says it will have a working simple file-sharing system live on its platform. As a cryptocurrency, Siacoin also looks quite promising. It currently makes the top 16 of cryptocurrencies in terms of total value (market cap) and is up 2,406 percent in value over the past year. The price per coin is 1.5 cents as of the time of this post, and there are 26.8 billion in circulation..... At the end of the day, this is only the beginning for companies like Sia. The disruption to the tech world has only just begun, and the sky is truly the limit. Is blockchain tech reinventing the way the internet works and the world communicates? Will Dropbox and Amazon S3 soon be outdated, overpriced, and obsolete? Time will tell. Would it be a next big thing? We Will see.......

|

| body |

Xiaomi's Mi 6 and the OnePlus 5, are both without a doubt, flagship killer phones in their own right. Both the phones pack in-class hardware at rock-bottom prices. If that wasn't enough, both the phones scream premium from every nook and corner. Take a look.

Design and build quality

The OnePlus 5 apparently took three years in the making. It has been OnePlus' most challenging project to date, the company reiterates. "We developed and focus tested over 100 variations before finalizing a subtle curvature that perfectly matches look and feel with durability." In hindsight, the OnePlus 5 is an all-metal smartphone. The phone comes in Slate Gray and Midnight Black versions. Because the Midnight Black or matte black version is hard(er) to make, it will be exclusive to the 8GB RAM/64GB storage version which means that it will cost you more. The OnePlus 5 -- at 7.25mm -- is also OnePlus' thinnest phone ever, and yet it packs in a fairly respectable 3,300mAh battery inside that although 100mAh smaller than the one on-board the OnePlus 3T, is claimed to offer up to 20 per cent better battery life in comparison. The design may not be the most original - in fact the OnePlus 5 looks ridiculously like the iPhone 7 Plus - but at least, it looks good, while at it. It is, without a doubt, OnePlus' best-looking phone ever. That besides the fact that the phone that it so blatantly copies starts at Rs 60,000 and gives you mere 32GB of internal storage for that price. The front, in the case of the OnePlus 5, is carved out of 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and has a physical home button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner. It is touch-sensitive and non-clickable. The phone also supports both physical capacitive and on-screen navigation buttons. A OnePlusThe Xiaomi Mi 6, on the other hand, boasts of a glass and stainless steel sandwich design. The Mi 6 apparently took seven years in the making and there's no denying that it's a gorgeous piece of tech just like its predecessor phone, the Mi 5. The Mi 6's stainless steel construction requires a 50-step manufacturing process and over 270 individual operations, according to Xiaomi. Moreover, the phone is available in slew of options ranging from white to blue. The Mi 6, just like the bezel-less Mi Mix, has a limited edition ceramic version that's quite honestly a sight to behold. It is also supposedly stronger than the 'regular' glass Mi 6 versions. Although, Xiaomi doesn't specify whether or not the Mi 6 ships with a protective covering, it says the Mi 6 is splash resistant. The Mi 6 has a front-mounted fingerprint scanner. Xiaomi has incorporated an under-glass -- ultrasonic -- fingerprint scanner in the Mi 6 which means you'll be touching a barren area of glass to unlock the phone. The phone just like the Mi 6 comes with physical capacitive keys for back and app switching. At 168 gram, the Mi 6 is heavier than the OnePlus 5, but, it's certainly more premium and sturdier - if a little slippery and glossy - in comparison. The design isn't the most original here as well and the phone looks a lot like Huawei's Honor 8, but, then again, it looks really good while at it, especially the ceramic variant.

Display

The OnePlus 5 comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD AMOLED display with a 1920x1080 pixels resolution. The company uses an Optic AMOLED panel and claims that it is able to produce "colours that are more vivid and true-to-life than other AMOLED displays while offering excellent battery life."The Xiaomi Mi 6, meanwhile, comes with a 5.15-inch 1080p display "with reduced glare and 0.15-nit adjustments (total 4096 brightness levels)."

Software

The OnePlus 5 runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat-based OxygenOS version 4.5.1. OxygenOS, like always, sticks dangerously close to stock Android and offers an almost bloat-free experience out-of-the-box. The only extra apps it chips in is a file manager, gallery and a voice recorder. Think of it as a third-party Pixel.Even though OxygenOS stays true to Google's OS 9 out of 10 times, it has added a few in-house features that although more a novelty, are useful nonetheless. Key among them is Shelf, a home screen that holds all your recent apps, quick contacts, custom widgets, memos and reminders, all in one place. A system wide Dark theme, manual Night mode and gesture support are other notable inclusions. The latest OxygenOS version also brings in features like reading mode, expanded screenshots, auto night mode, gaming do not disturb mode and secure box.OxygenOS comes with bare-minimum customisation options, but the OnePlus 5 more than compensates for it by offering an unlocked bootloader. This means you can root it, ROM it as and when you like and it won't void the phone's warranty. A OnePlusThe Mi 6 also runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box but with Xiaomi's custom skin MIUI 8.2 on top. Latest software iteration does not necessarily translate to drastic changes in Xiaomi's interface though. There's generally very little difference between a Marshmallow-based MIUI and a Nougat-based MIUI which could be a deal-breaker for stock Android fanatics. If, however you are not a "stock Android fanatic", MIUI 8 offers all the bells and whistles that you'd want from a fully-functional operating system, including themes. And it's getting better with time. Some of its features like scrollable screenshots, second space and dual apps are worth mentioning.

Hardware

The OnePlus 5 is powered by a 2.45GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with Adreno 540 GPU and 6 gigs and 8 gigs of RAM. You get 64GB and 128GB of internal memory straight off the bat, but expandable storage is not supported. The Xiaomi Mi 6 is every bit as powerful on paper. It also comes with a 2.45GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor clubbed with Adreno 540 GPU and 6GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB/128GB internal memory which is non-expandable.The Mi 6, in addition, comes with a stereo speaker setup, while the OnePlus 5 comes with a bottom firing mono speaker. The Mi 6, however, doesn't ship with a 3.5mm audio jack.

Camera

The dual camera system in the OnePlus 5 features "a tailor-made 16-megapixel camera, supported by a 20-megapixel telephoto camera. While the 16-megapixel camera -- Sony IMX 398 -- features a large f/1.7 aperture, the secondary 20-megapixel camera -- Sony IMX 350 - features an f/2.6 aperture. The primary lens in the case of the OnePlus 5 "can capture 34 per cent more light than the OnePlus 3T camera." At the same time, it can "autofocus up to 40 per cent faster and more accurately than the OnePlus 3T." The dual camera system on-board the OnePlus 5 is capable of shooting photos with shallow depth of field, or bokeh effect through a specialized portrait mode. There's also a dedicated Pro Mode for pro users. The system is also capable of recording 4K videos and shooting in RAW file format. Sadly, the OnePlus 5's rear camera system isn't assisted with Optical Image Stabilisation. On the front, the OnePlus 5 ships with a 16-megapixel camera. The Mi 6, on the other hand, (also) comes with a dual camera setup on the rear - 12-megapixel+12-megapixel - where one lens is wide-angle while the other is telephoto. The Mi 6 offers 2X optic zoom and 10X digital zoom and should technically result in clearer distant shots and professional bokeh effects in portraits. The dual camera system on-board the Mi 6 is assisted with 4-axis OIS. On the front the Mi 6 comes with an 8-megapixel camera.

Battery

While the OnePlus 5 is backed by a 3,300mAh battery, the Mi 6 offers a bigger 3,350mAh battery. Both the phones support fast charging.

Pricing and availability

While the base 6GB RAM and 64GB storage version of the OnePlus 5 will cost you Rs 32,999, the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option will be available for as high as Rs 37,999.The Mi 6, on the other hand, has been priced at RMB 2,499 (roughly Rs 23,463) for the 6GB RAM/64GB memory version, RMB 2,899 (roughly Rs 27,219) for the 6GB RAM/128GB memory version and RMB 2,999 (roughly Rs 28,152) for the limited ceramic edition.

Conclusion

|

The phone just like the Mi 6 comes with physical capacitive keys for back and app switching. At 168 gram, the Mi 6 is heavier than the OnePlus 5, but, it's certainly more premium and sturdier - if a little slippery and glossy - in comparison. The design isn't the most original here as well and the phone looks a lot like Huawei's Honor 8, but, then again, it looks really good while at it, especially the ceramic variant.
\n
Display
\n
The OnePlus 5 comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD AMOLED display with a 1920x1080 pixels resolution. The company uses an Optic AMOLED panel and claims that it is able to produce \"colours that are more vivid and true-to-life than other AMOLED displays while offering excellent battery life.\"The Xiaomi Mi 6, meanwhile, comes with a 5.15-inch 1080p display \"with reduced glare and 0.15-nit adjustments (total 4096 brightness levels).\"
\n
Software
\n
If, however you are not a \"stock Android fanatic\", MIUI 8 offers all the bells and whistles that you'd want from a fully-functional operating system, including themes. And it's getting better with time. Some of its features like scrollable screenshots, second space and dual apps are worth mentioning.
\n
Hardware
\n
\n
Camera
\n
The dual camera system in the OnePlus 5 features \"a tailor-made 16-megapixel camera, supported by a 20-megapixel telephoto camera. While the 16-megapixel camera -- Sony IMX 398 -- features a large f/1.7 aperture, the secondary 20-megapixel camera -- Sony IMX 350 - features an f/2.6 aperture. The primary lens in the case of the OnePlus 5 \"can capture 34 per cent more light than the OnePlus 3T camera.\" At the same time, it can \"autofocus up to 40 per cent faster and more accurately than the OnePlus 3T.\" The dual camera system on-board the OnePlus 5 is capable of shooting photos with shallow depth of field, or bokeh effect through a specialized portrait mode.
\n
Battery
\n
While the OnePlus 5 is backed by a 3,300mAh battery, the Mi 6 offers a bigger 3,350mAh battery. Both the phones support fast charging.
\n
Pricing and availability
\n
While the base 6GB RAM and 64GB storage version of the OnePlus 5 will cost you Rs 32,999, the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option will be available for as high as Rs 37,999.The Mi 6, on the other hand, has been priced at RMB 2,499 (roughly Rs 23,463) for the 6GB RAM/64GB memory version, RMB 2,899 (roughly Rs 27,219) for the 6GB RAM/128GB memory version and RMB 2,999 (roughly Rs 28,152) for the limited ceramic edition.
\n
Conclusion
\n
",
