body<a href='https://postimages.org/' target='_blank'><img src='https://s9.postimg.org/40jo1yohr/facebook.jpg' border='0' alt='facebook'/></a> The reason I think Facebook is going to fail is that Facebook decides how high your post is ranked, as opposed to letting people see posts as they are made. If you are posting a lot of quality posts, but getting few likes, it is most likely because your friends are not even being showed your post by Facebook. What's the point of using a social platform when no one sees what you are posting and you don't see what others are posting?

bodyBitcoin has become very popular recently. More and more people are buying it, not wanting to miss out on the one million dollar Bitcoin. However, I don't believe Bitcoin will ever come close to being worth a million dollars per Bitcoin, for four reasons: 1. The size of the blockchain. One of the benefits promised by Bitcoin is to be able to bypass banks. However, this will change soon. The more Bitcoin is used, the bigger the blockchain becomes. Currently, the blockchain is around 150 gigabytes. This means most people can't or won't use the Bitcoin app on their smartphones. As such, they are forced to use third party wallets. Once governments force third party wallets to meet the requirements of banks, the benefit of not using banks will pretty much be dead (unless you want to carry around a laptop). 2. In order for a currency to be desirable, it needs to be stable. No buyer wants to use an inflationary currency, because that means if you wait to buy something, it will cost more. The value of your currency is always going down. No seller wants to use a deflationary currency, because that means the longer it takes to sell something, the less you get. The value of goods and services are always going down. It also means you have to reprice everything often. As such, the best currency for buyers and sellers is a currency that is stable. Since Bitcoin is pretty much setup to be deflationary, because it is limited to 21 million Bitcoins, it means it will never be stable, so it will never be a good currency. 3. The cost of sending transactions will just keep getting higher. Currently, it is costing around $20 to get your Bitcoins sent quickly by the miners. That means sending $10 will cost you $30, if you want it done fast. Otherwise, it could take weeks or months for your transaction to go through. This means it is only realistic to send high amounts of Bitcoin. For a currency to be useful, it needs to have a low transaction fee cost for any amount that is sent. 4. Since it is a decentralized currency, that means it cannot adapt to changing market trends quick enough (for example raising the cap to avoid deflation or resetting the blockchain to avoid the large size). A good currency can change the amount of currency in the market to fight inflation and deflation. 5. Since all transactions are public, no business will want to use Bitcoin, since no business wants all their transactions to be public. But wait, you were told that Bitcoin transactions are anonymous. This is pretty much true so long as people don't know your Bitcoin address. However, in order for a business to accept Bitcoins, they need to make their address public. And if they are doing business with other businesses that use Bitcoin, their addresses will also become public. As such, anyone could see who they are paying or being paid by and how much. Most, if not all, businesses that currently accept Bitcoin immediately convert them to the local currency.

body![airplane1.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmbJMfaxSiF1Ar2HipgZ45tpjTmpsWgVVNi1LxvqvakVNs/airplane1.jpg) When traveling, there are some precautions you may want to take. 1. To prevent data exchange if you are going to use public USB charging stations or charge using devices that are not your own, you can get a USB condom. This will allow your devices to charge but will turn off the data send/receive ports so no data can be exchanged. 2. Don’t use airline mileage programs. If you use airline mileage programs, they may be putting personally identifiable information on your boarding pass (1). 3. Don’t post online if you are going out of town, ask your friends and family to not post online as well if you are going out of town, and don’t post photos of your trip until you get back home. The reason for this is potential burglars may have fake social accounts set up to monitor your activity to find out when you are going out of town so they can break into your home. 4. Secure your garage door if you have one. When you go out of town you can unplug your garage door opener. However, that won’t stop a burglar from using a fishing method to open it or stop a burglar who has entered the home, using a different method, from opening the garage door from the inside and then using the garage as a loading dock. To guard against this you can instead lock your garage door track using a lockable latch or c-clamps. If it doesn’t have a hole for a lock you can drill a hole in the track just above one of the rollers. 5. If using a hotel safe, you can put your belongings in a sealed FedEx or other Tyvek envelope. That way if you find the seal is broken, you will know you have been robbed. You may also want to get a camera to put in the safe that will take a photo of anyone opening it and send the photo via cellular since hotel safes are not very secure (2). 6. Turn off the Wi-Fi on your devices when not being used. Any device that has a MAC address can be tracked, but it can only be tracked when the Wi-Fi is on. Computers, tablets, and smart phones all have MAC addresses. 7. Encrypt your smart phone and tablets and restart your mobile devices before going through a security checkpoint if you have a fingerprint or face recognition enabled. This is because it will then require you to enter your passcode instead, and if it is encrypted, it is much more difficult to bypass. A fingerprint can easily be bypassed (3). body![flags.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQma6vZaT4UKKie7bXeAzND8LoTDHmutKrUF1Zg518arsdj/flags.jpg) Dual citizenship can protect you and give you more options. If the government authorities take away your passport, then you will in essence be a prisoner in your country, like what happened to many Jews in World War II. The Jews that had dual citizenship were able to get out of Germany. Those that did not, could not. Dual citizenship will also give you more international banking options and lets you avoid foreign policy blow-back when traveling internationally. There are plenty of options for getting dual citizenship. Sovereignman.com and dollarvigilante.com both have programs for helping people get dual citizenship.

body![personal data.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmYwnNkHFGfmcFKXqGecTmZa8bXBjzKNByE3yQUMnmvMej/personal%20data.jpg) Data brokers (a.k.a. doxxing sites), are websites that collect publicly available information on people and then either give it away for free or sell it to people who pay for access. They may have your name, phone numbers, addresses, birthdates, and more. There are a lot of data brokers. Some of them are privateeye.com, usa-people-search.com, radaris.com, peoplelookup.com, beenverified.com, checkpeople.com, peekyou.com, intelius.com, peoplesmart.com, pipl.com, publicrecords360.com, spokeo.com, whitepages.com, zabasearch.com, familytreenow.com, and zoominfo.com (this is not necessarily a comprehensive list.) To remove yourself from their records you can usually go onto their websites, click the privacy link at the bottom of the page, and read through it until you get to where it talks about opting out. Some are easy. Others require you to submit identification. If you do have to submit identification, be sure to black out your photo, ID number, and signature. If you don’t take some steps before removing your information from the data brokers, it may show up again. To keep your information from showing up again you will need to go to your social accounts like Facebook and LinkedIn (since that is where they get a lot of their information) and change your personal information to fake information (such as your birthdate) and set up your privacy settings so they aren’t sharing your information. To find out where the data brokers are probably getting your information, you can check pipl.com first. Even so, the data brokers may still get your information from public records. For example, if you have a mortgage, they can get some information from the county records, especially if they are online.

body![passport card.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmePR4A2WgD55awy4EHqLZqEm3wLojNNQHb5sDN15UZuEa/passport%20card.jpg) Your driver’s license probably has your home address on it. An optional identification card that is acceptable anywhere in the United States is a passport card. When you get your passport, you can also order a passport card. It does not have your address on it. That way if you need to give someone your identification, but they don’t need your address, you can use your passport card instead to keep your address private. Another issue with newer driver’s licenses and passport cards is they may have chips in them with personally identifiable information on them. If so, they should come with a faraday sleeve that you can keep them in.

body![tires.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmeGuSqtbCyrNF1y35mAjkkqmfQZPP437mWHJ8p9Yv872X/tires.jpg) In terms of automotive safety, here are five things to consider: 1. Tires. Here is a good article talking about how important tires are: http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/buying-maintenance/videos/a33177/this-is-why-tires-are-the-most-important-modification-for-your-car/. a. Tire brand can make a difference in your tire performance. According to Consumer Reports, the top three tire brands are Michelin, Pirelli, and Continental (1). b. Besides tire brand, another thing to consider are all-season, summer, and winter tires. Summer tires are supposed to give you superior grip in warm weather and winter tires are supposed to give you superior grip in cold weather as opposed to all-season tires (2). Not only are summer tires and winter tires supposed to give you better grip depending on the temperature, but they are also supposed to be superior in wet conditions as well. To achieve this they have different tread patters and use different rubber compounds. A lot of people that have two sets of tires use two sets of wheels, which is something else you may want to consider if you go that route. c. Another safety issue with tires is tire life. The older a tire is, the more the rubber degrades, and as such the worse the handling is. Tire life is considered to have been a factor in Paul Walker’s death by some (3). “Since 2000, the week and year the tire was produced has been provided by the last four digits of the Tire Identification Number with the 2 digits being used to identify the week immediately preceding the 2 digits used to identify the year” (4). Generally speaking if your tires are over six years old, you might want to consider replacing them, including your spare tire (5). d. The other thing to keep in mind about tires, is the tire pressure. Tire pressure is very important for the safety and longevity of your tires. If tire pressure is too high then it increases the chances of a blowout. If your tire pressure is too high or low, the tires will wear poorly and have less grip. The correct tire pressure can be found on the inside of the door of your vehicle or in your owner’s manual. The tire pressure on the wall of the tire is generally for max tire pressure so you shouldn’t use that, otherwise you will be overinflating your tires (6). 2. Brakes. Another important component of your vehicle is your brakes. Stock brakes generally don’t have the best stopping power. In order to improve your stopping power, you can either upgrade just your front brake pads for around $100, installed, or you can upgrade your whole front brake kit for around $1500. The reason to upgrade your front brakes is they “generate up to 75 percent of the vehicle’s stopping force” (7). 3. Headlights. Headlights are obviously very important to safety, because the sooner you see objects in the road in the dark, the sooner you can try to avoid said objects. Halogen headlights are considered to have the worst lighting, and most vehicles still come with halogen headlights. If you have halogen headlights and you don’t feel your headlights are very good, one option is to upgrade to HID headlights. However, you will need to upgrade your headlight housing to do so, which can be very costly. Instead, for about $50, you can upgrade your bulbs to brighter bulbs. Just be aware that brighter bulbs usually have a shorter life. 4. Drive type. Drive type is an important safety consideration when talking about wet roads. A vehicle that only has power going to two wheels on wet roads can more easily lose traction as opposed to a vehicle that has power going to all four wheels. As such, on wet roads, all-wheel drive/four-wheel drive (AWD/4WD) vehicles are safer than two wheel drive (2WD) vehicles. Just remember improved traction doesn’t translate to improved handling or braking, which is what your tires and brakes are for (8). 5. Mirror positioning. In order to avoid accidents when changing lanes, it is very important to position your mirrors properly. Here are the recommendations for adjusting them: a. To adjust the driver’s side-view mirror, place your head against the left side window and set the mirror so you can just barely see the side of the car in the mirror’s right side. b. To adjust the passenger’s side-view mirror, position your head so that it is just above the center console. Set the mirror so you can just barely see the side of the car in the left side of the mirror. If the vehicle is not equipped with remove mirror-adjustment controls, you may need assistance when properly positioning this mirror (9). 1) http://www.consumerreports.org/tires/best-tire-brands/ 2) https://www.bridgestonetire.com/tread-and-trend/drivers-ed/summer-tires-vs-all-season-tires 3) http://www.thedrive.com/opinion/5189/the-truth-behind-what-caused-paul-walkers-fatal-crash 4) https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=11 5) https://www.edmunds.com/car-care/how-old-and-dangerous-are-your-tires.html 6) https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=8 7) http://knowhow.napaonline.com/front-brakes-vs-rear-brakes-whats-the-difference/ 8) http://www.popularmechanics.com/cars/a3091/the-myth-of-the-all-powerful-all-wheel-drive-15202862/ 9) http://seniordriving.aaa.com/improve-your-driving-skills/prepare-drive/how-use-adjust-your-mirrors/

"body": "![tires.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmeGuSqtbCyrNF1y35mAjkkqmfQZPP437mWHJ8p9Yv872X/tires.jpg)\nIn terms of automotive safety, here are five things to consider: \n1.\tTires. Here is a good article talking about how important tires are: http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/buying-maintenance/videos/a33177/this-is-why-tires-are-the-most-important-modification-for-your-car/. \na.\tTire brand can make a difference in your tire performance. According to Consumer Reports, the top three tire brands are Michelin, Pirelli, and Continental (1). \nb.\tBesides tire brand, another thing to consider are all-season, summer, and winter tires. \nc.\tAnother safety issue with tires is tire life. Generally speaking if your tires are over six years old, you might want to consider replacing them, including your spare tire (5).\nd.\tThe other thing to keep in mind about tires, is the tire pressure. The tire pressure on the wall of the tire is generally for max tire pressure so you shouldn’t use that, otherwise you will be overinflating your tires (6).\n2.\tBrakes.
