titleThe Anti Dynasty Bill in the Philippines is stupid. You're stupid if you support it.
bodyThe problem with political dynasties has less to do with those that run for political office, and more to do with the voters. There absolutely is a problem in the Philippines with political dynasties, the problem does exist. The solution being discussed however just shows how bad our government (and our people as a whole) are at finding the right solutions to problems that exist in our society. *It's no wonder that we are are a third-world country.* <center>![8may-political-dynasty.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmdpmn6LGkS6McZQzJ7evFkrnpn6Ya29cuU1Eo8xGMV6ki/8may-political-dynasty.jpg) Credit: FFE Magazine </center> ## Essentially– we the people, are ignorant morons. Here's the issue... The reason the problem of Political Dynasties exists is because as a people, we assume that if we were satisfied with the job that 'Dad' did, we must be satisfied with what 'Mom' will do, or 'Son' or 'Daughter'. That is stupid. Look at your own family. Look at your parents, and then look at yourself, and your siblings. Are you the same? Do you have the same beliefs and way of handling things? Do you have the same strengths and weaknesses or are you unique? Chances are high that you may have been influenced (negatively, OR positively) by your parents and siblings, however that you are your own person with your own unique perspectives and ways of handling problems and successes. People that vote for another family member simply because of the merits of their relative are ignorant and shouldn't be voting at all. You vote based on the person, their merits, accomplishments, and their stances on important issues. Not because you liked the way a relative did things... In the same stream of thought, people that vote for the same person that their family does, or the same person that their religions organization tells them to, are also stupid, ignorant, and shouldn't be voting at all. Vote based on your OWN opinions, beliefs, and stances on important issues, not based on what an authority figure tells you to do. You are granted the privilege to vote because ***YOUR** opinion matters*. Otherwise that authority figure you listened to that told you to vote for person XYZ would be granted multiple votes, and you would be granted none. **USE YOUR HEAD, EDUCATE YOURSELF, AND VOTE PROPERLY!** So that's the problem. Ignorant people voting without educating themselves on the issues or the people they are voting for. Following leaders be they from their own family, religion, or social media idols. Because of this widespread ignorance and stupidity, it has proven a regular issue in the Philippines for relatives to be elected for positions and for **political dynasties** to form. ## The Government's Solution – Yay for stupidity. The government has realized the problem and their proposal to rectify it is to ban relatives of past/present officials for running for office. Ok so on the surface and thinking like an **idiot** that would solve the problem right? The problem however is that it is a bandaid, it does not address the actual problem, it's a stupid solution for a problem that is based on ignorance and stupidity. What if the sister, son, daughter of a previously or currently elected official is by far the best choice based on your beliefs and stances? Why should they be disqualified from running just because they had a relative that was previously elected to office? **It shouldn't.** ## The proper solution – Yay for intelligence The proper solution would be: * To encourage education. * Ban bloc voting such as that of the INC religious group and others. * Require a quick quiz upon voting that requires the voter to answer correctly the stances their candidate has on important issues. * Encourage the voter to **BE INFORMED!** It's an obvious solution for anybody that spends more than 10 minutes thinking about the issue, easy implementation, and does not further encourage ignorance and blind voting for which our country is plagued with. ## Please I beg of you people of the Philippines. Speak up, Speak out, let the government know there are smarter solutions. Do not support, and do not stand idley by as our country continues to strip more freedoms and rights from the people due to their own ignorance and stupidity. Write to politicians, form rallies, let the government know there is a better way for this country to move forward. Let the country know that we don't like our rights stripped away and ignorant laws passed into law. #### It is time for the Filipino people to stop being so passive, to stand up and start talking, acting, and letting everybody (especially the government) know that they are making bad decisions that do not help our nation move forward, but just pull us backward and/or keep us stagnant. #### It's time Filipinos, it's time to take off the rose colored glasses and realize that not only can we make a difference, it is our patriotic responsibility to do so. Accepting the status quo and doing nothing makes you a part of the problem.

titleKoreans Love the Prostitutes of the Philippines.
body### Another harsh title, that's kinda what I do. I hope you are used to it by now. Anything that doesn't incite emotion isn't worth posting in my opinion. This is afterall a platform to post information unadulterated by political agendas and mass-media, we should embrace that and speak the truth based on hundreds to thousands of hours of research and experience. Let the world know the truth about everything possible, and learn from others that do the same. <center>![KTV-Pandora-Girls-MANILA-Philippines.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmUHhzpoZxySJ6YyYXRGfLFpaZAqnqnVEYNtChXGZBXHK9/KTV-Pandora-Girls-MANILA-Philippines.jpg)</center> <center>Credit: bakesta[dot]com</center> My last post touched on prostitution in the Philippines briefly. I did HOURS of research on it however while writing the post, and that is not my first time to research the topic, my total research on the topic totaling well over thousands of hours of research. Today I decided to write about a specific angle of prostitution in the Philippines and effecting Pilipinos. If you were curious, **yes** every girl in the picture featured above works at a KTV bar and is (or was) likely a prostitute, and that is only 1 of hundreds of similar bars in the area. ### How young is too young? How old is too old? As prostitution is already illegal in the country, it is not far-fetched to state that there are many minors that work in the prostitution industry in the Philippines. Humorously, many KTV and "Girly" bars actually do require identification, age documents, etc. before being hired. On the flip side, these very same companies typically employ or can *refer* a person who can produce fake documents for would-be applicants. A 14 year old having an ID saying she was 19? No problem. Using a sister or cousin's name? Common place. Age is only discriminated against if they attract attention or have not yet developed. On the flip side, there are many girls who have worked in prostitution so long that they do not know anything else. There are women well over 40 still passing themselves off as mid 20's. To the trained eye this is obvious, but many customers of such bars are already (or quickly become in the bars) intoxicated. Once a girl has come to an age where she no longer is able to easily get customers it is not uncommon for these women to become *Mamasangs* within the same or competing bars. These positions are quite literally "prostitute sellers" or ***female pimps***. ## Prostitution in the Philippines is illegal, however the tolerance of the culture is quite high. In fact, according to conservative numbers, the Philippines has more prostitutes than any other country in South East Asia **IN COUNTRY** so as to say, not including the 10s of thousands that work as prostitutes abroad. ### How do so many girls become prostitutes? Fathers, Mothers, schoolmates, siblings, cousins: all sell and or encourage girls to enter this industry, but often without revealing what the industry actually is. Of course there are women that are told they can have sex for money, surprisingly however, this is a scarce minority compared to those that got into it by other means unaware of the box pandora was about to open upon their lives. Many girls are told they are fantastic dancers, or have very good voices and should apply to work as a singer or dancer locally or abroad. Some are told that they are very attractive and this is easy money as they only have to greet customers and pour drinks or dance/sing. The salaries for these types of positions are much higher than legitimate jobs typically and require less 'brain power' as the sole purpose of success is the physical attributes of the woman and how she can please the customer. In short, MANY girls that eventually become prostitutes had no such notion or understanding that is what they would become until it had become too late. Blame this on low-IQ, naivety, or just typical social conditioning... #### More on all of this in a future post. ## Korea's Influence in Malate For my local brothers and sisters, If you are in Metro Manila I'm sure you have heard of the goings on in **Malate**. Malate is a district of the city of Manila, the capital of the Philippines. Anybody has been to Malate at night has seen the buzzing nightlife and plethora of japanese and korean restaurants and KTV bars. There are people everywhere in the streets, even on a Monday evening when many similar "party districts" are vacant. Why is this you may ask? It's pretty simple: Prostitution. Here is a map of a website that writes reviews on KTV bars throughout the Philippines, note that MANY bars that exist are not listed on this map as they seem to spring up so frequently the blog can't keep up. Every Pink circle with a girl with a ponytail is a KTV bar or "Girly" bar, *essentially locations where **you can buy sex***. These are all in **Malate**. <center>![Screen Shot 2018-03-13 at 12.09.10 AM.png](https://steemitimages.com/DQmaRZHniXNzURQ7E3ZbE9r2LTcZgUezoceNSBYbjiYdsan/Screen%20Shot%202018-03-13%20at%2012.09.10%20AM.png)</center> One thing many people "especially westerners" will notice upon entering the Malate area at night is the high saturation of other foreign asians such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean. This is then doubled-down as you notice how many Korean and Japanese restaurants are spread amongst the bars. Don't get me wrong, I have eaten at some of these places and there are a few hidden gems with excellent food for the price. The downfall is that you will likely be eating in the same room as several prostitutes and their Johns. Not a place to bring your children at night. Many of these restaurants are owned by the same (or relatives of the) people that own the KTV bars. Many of these are Korean, some Japanese, some Filipino, but a great majority are Korean. Inside of these bars and surrounding restaurants and clubs you will find a plethora of koreans. This is not the case in many places throughout the Philippines, but in Malate, they have a very high density. You can see Korean men with bakla (gay men, sometimes but not often post-operation dressed as women and of the homosexual persuasion) and women. They don't seem to discriminate much and their taste for quality is fairly low (prostitutes in the Malate area are notoriously less beautiful and cheaper than those in other areas). There are entire barangays where over 30% of the children are fathered by Koreans, their mothers having acted as prostitutes and getting pregnant by their customers. That is an EXTREMELY high figure considering the conservative numbers given above. ### So why do Korean's inparticularly enjoy prostitution in the Philippines? Well, surprisingly enough, the cultures on the subject line up fairly closely. I know, who would have thought right? **South Korea has a higher % of prostitutes in it's country than the Philippines**. No i'm not joking. Now a majority of these prostitutes are from the Philippines (formerly Russia, but the Russian government shut that down and thus the huge influx of prostitutes from the Philippines, Juicy Girls). Now keep in mind also that Korea has a better system for tracking and higher desire to reveal prostitution than the Philippines, so in reality, the Philippines prostitution is likely much higher than Korea particularly when including filipino prostitutes in Korea and other countries. In fact, over 23% of males and nearly 3% of females in Korea admit to having their first sexual experience with a prostitute. That's a pretty high percent overall for a *first sexual experience*! According to the Institute of Criminology and the Women's Development Institute in Korea: 20% of Korean males in their 20's pay for sex at least four times a month, 20% of Korean seniors pay for sex on a regular basis, and 1 of every 6 Korean females are involved in the sex industry. Considering the HIGH prevalence of prostitutes from abroad, these numbers are mind numbingly shocking! So why filipino prostitutes? ***They are cheaper!*** Many Koreans come to The Philippines for the purpose of sex tourism. They have friends, family, or have read about it online. They congregate in areas such as Malate where there are many more like-minded individuals. Considering Korea is a culture that clearly accepts prostitution as much as it does, the Philippines is an obvious destination. ### Pilipino Prostitutes in Korea Ever since Russia prostitutes entering Korea was exploded as a social issue in 2003, The Philippines has been the go-to country for foreign prostitutes, a commodity popular in Korea. Formerly Russians, and now Filipinas, are tricked into working in Korea as prostitutes 99 times out of 100. They are recruited as Singers or Dancers often times and receive visas for "Art and Performance". Upon arriving in korea, they must surrender their passports and are forced into prostitution. Depending on the company that employs them, this is often a slow process, starting with some actual singing or dancing, and slowly proceeding into the following stages: * You will get paid more if you are able to get customers to buy drinks. It's easy to do just entertain them and sit next to them, get them to buy you drinks and buy more for themselves. Your job is to keep them inside the bar until their wallets are empty. * You will keep customers here longer and get some repeat and regular customers if you really pay attention to what they say and maybe touch their thigh or graze their neck occasionally. * Your customers will come back more often if you *stimulate* them. You don't need to do anything outrageous, just get them excited, they are more likely to buy you more drinks and stay longer and come back more often. They might also give you a bigger tip for your attention. * If you put your hand (or mouth) in their pants, for sure they will give you a MUCH bigger tip. It's not that far a leap from what you've been doing already, maybe try it on a handsome customer and if you like it and get a good tip try it more. * If you can convince a customer to take you out and "bar fine" you, then you'll make WAY more money. You don't have to have to do anything with them, maybe just go to dinner together. * When you get bar-fined, just have some quick sex with the customer. You will get a lot more money, and they will also give you a big tip afterwards. You can make more money in one night than you would otherwise in a week if it's ok for you. * Try to convince as many customers as you can to bar-fine you as fast as you can, you can speed through it and maybe even get bar-fined by 5-10+ guys all in one night. You'll be making more money in night than you would in over 2 months if you don't. All the other girls are doing it, you might as well too, you're pretty, use your looks to benefit you. These types of pressure and encouraging come from the establishment owner, the other girls working there, and the pimps that look over them. These people and establishments are experts in manipulation for this particular purpose and have done the same to hundreds to thousands of girls in the past. They know exactly how to coax girls to do what they want, pressure them with limited wages and a confiscated passport, get the other girls to help convince them, and build themselves the ultimate slut from the innocent province girl that'd never seen a penis which arrived there just a month or so earlier. At a particular point the girls are given a quota of 200-500 drinks per month, and if they fail to meet their quota, must pay their own 'bar-fine' or be demoted to much more demeaning acts. Majority of these girls are forced into the work they entertain, but in such a clever way they don't even realize when they cross the line from indentured servant, to full-blown sex worker. ### Well, that's all for today folks. Knowledge is power, the more you know. Next time you visit an area like Malate, or hear of a friend/relative/sibling's excited rantings that they are going to sing abroad, get involved. Pay a bit more attention, lest that sweet little girl becomes someone you wouldn't recognize.

"body": "### Another harsh title, that's kinda what I do. I hope you are used to it by now. Anything that doesn't incite emotion isn't worth posting in my opinion.\nThis is afterall a platform to post information unadulterated by political agendas and mass-media, we should embrace that and speak the truth based on hundreds to thousands of hours of research and experience. Let the world know the truth about everything possible, and learn from others that do the same.\n\n<center>![KTV-Pandora-Girls-MANILA-Philippines.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmUHhzpoZxySJ6YyYXRGfLFpaZAqnqnVEYNtChXGZBXHK9/KTV-Pandora-Girls-MANILA-Philippines.jpg)</center>\n<center>Credit: bakesta[dot]com</center>\n\nMy last post touched on prostitution in the Philippines briefly. I did HOURS of research on it however while writing the post, and that is not my first time to research the topic, my total research on the topic totaling well over thousands of hours of research. Today I decided to write about a specific angle of prostitution in the Philippines and effecting Pilipinos. If you were curious, **yes** every girl in the picture featured above works at a KTV bar and is (or was) likely a prostitute, and that is only 1 of hundreds of similar bars in the area.\n\n### How young is too young? How old is too old?\nAs prostitution is already illegal in the country, it is not far-fetched to state that there are many minors that work in the prostitution industry in the Philippines. Humorously, many KTV and \"Girly\" bars actually do require identification, age documents, etc. before being hired. \n\nOn the flip side, these very same companies typically employ or can *refer* a person who can produce fake documents for would-be applicants. A 14 year old having an ID saying she was 19? No problem. Using a sister or cousin's name? Common place. Age is only discriminated against if they attract attention or have not yet developed.\n\nOn the flip side, there are many girls who have worked in prostitution so long that they do not know anything else. There are women well over 40 still passing themselves off as mid 20's. To the trained eye this is obvious, but many customers of such bars are already (or quickly become in the bars) intoxicated.\n\nOnce a girl has come to an age where she no longer is able to easily get customers it is not uncommon for these women to become *Mamasangs* within the same or competing bars. These positions are quite literally \"prostitute sellers\" or ***female pimps***. \n\n## Prostitution in the Philippines is illegal, however the tolerance of the culture is quite high. \nIn fact, according to conservative numbers, the Philippines has more prostitutes than any other country in South East Asia **IN COUNTRY** so as to say, not including the 10s of thousands that work as prostitutes abroad.\n\n### How do so many girls become prostitutes?\nFathers, Mothers, schoolmates, siblings, cousins: all sell and or encourage girls to enter this industry, but often without revealing what the industry actually is.\n\nOf course there are women that are told they can have sex for money, surprisingly however, this is a scarce minority compared to those that got into it by other means unaware of the box pandora was about to open upon their lives.\n\nMany girls are told they are fantastic dancers, or have very good voices and should apply to work as a singer or dancer locally or abroad. Blame this on low-IQ, naivety, or just typical social conditioning...\n\n#### More on all of this in a future post.\n\n## Korea's Influence in Malate\nFor my local brothers and sisters, If you are in Metro Manila I'm sure you have heard of the goings on in **Malate**. \n\nMalate is a district of the city of Manila, the capital of the Philippines. Anybody has been to Malate at night has seen the buzzing nightlife and plethora of japanese and korean restaurants and KTV bars. There are people everywhere in the streets, even on a Monday evening when many similar \"party districts\" are vacant. Why is this you may ask? It's pretty simple: Prostitution. \n\nHere is a map of a website that writes reviews on KTV bars throughout the Philippines, note that MANY bars that exist are not listed on this map as they seem to spring up so frequently the blog can't keep up. Every Pink circle with a girl with a ponytail is a KTV bar or \"Girly\" bar, *essentially locations where **you can buy sex***. These are all in **Malate**.\n\n<center>![Screen Shot 2018-03-13 at 12.09.10 AM.png](https://steemitimages.com/DQmaRZHniXNzURQ7E3ZbE9r2LTcZgUezoceNSBYbjiYdsan/Screen%20Shot%202018-03-13%20at%2012.09.10%20AM.png)</center>\n\nOne thing many people \"especially westerners\" will notice upon entering the Malate area at night is the high saturation of other foreign asians such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean. This is then doubled-down as you notice how many Korean and Japanese restaurants are spread amongst the bars. \n\nDon't get me wrong, I have eaten at some of these places and there are a few hidden gems with excellent food for the price. The downfall is that you will likely be eating in the same room as several prostitutes and their Johns. Not a place to bring your children at night.\n\nMany of these restaurants are owned by the same (or relatives of the) people that own the KTV bars. Many of these are Korean, some Japanese, some Filipino, but a great majority are Korean.\n\nInside of these bars and surrounding restaurants and clubs you will find a plethora of koreans. This is not the case in many places throughout the Philippines, but in Malate, they have a very high density. titleSuicide Prevention (We're not doing enough)
bodyFor reasons I will not go into here, I recently was researching suicide hotline chatrooms online. Many people don't like to use the telephone, or can't for this reason or that and so a 'chat' seemed the next best option. ## I was surprised at the lack of options The first chat i attempted to enter refused me as it is only for Americans. It required me to enter a zip code, i entered a USA zip code, and then promptly refused me after having noticed my IP address was not USA based. It provided a link for 'international help' which was a dead link. The second chat I attempted to enter told me there were 13 people in front of me and that the expected wait time was 3 hours. I left that promptly as well. The next chat room asked me to complete a long document detailing my life history, and essentially every personal detail about myself before being attempted to connect to someone to talk to. I left. Chat rooms are easy, 1 on 1 chats are easy, you can buy scripts online and host them yourself, even with encryption on shared hosting. Why are the options so bad? This is a problem that has existed since the beginning of time, how have we not found a more succinct solution to helping those in need? Please for anybody with the capability to do so, take this as a message. Please build a better, faster, easier solution for people that need to talk, for those that are depressed and are considering things such as suicide. Make it as approachable and easy as possible. You could say 1-10's-100's or even millions of lives. I'd develop it myself but do not have the means to properly promote it or fund it's operation.

titleThe War on Drugs is an Embarassment, we should be ashamed of ourselves, of our President, and of our Government.
body![Philippines-Edit-slide-IROT-master768.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmZ2fpRBnBdNrEWWf3hCRdcwNnSup7GgUoi4jTcX9LFaJW/Philippines-Edit-slide-IROT-master768.jpg) <center>They are slaughtering us like animals - CREDIT: Daniel Berehulak</center> # That's right. I said it, and I stand behind it. The war on drugs is an embarrassment to The Philippines. Did i hurt your feelings? Time to wise up *shmuck*. The war on drugs exists for 2 reasons. ## Reason 1 ...and the reason that it is able to be supported by the ignorant masses, is that it is used as a universal excuse for crimes committed within our country. > The father raped his months old daughter with his friends *because he was on drugs*. I'm sorry people, but seriously, **shut the fuck up**. Drugs are not an excuse for their actions, they were clearly seriously disturbed and pardon my french, but *seriously fucked up*! Using the use of drugs as an excuse for the behavior is beyond shameful, it's stupid. At the time of writing this post there are over 7.6 Billion people in the world. According to surveys over 35% of the global population has used drugs. **That's 2,660,000,000 or *2.6 BILLION people***. Have 2.6 billion people raped their months old daughter? ***NO!*** > Drug users are dangerous and they kill and rape people and steal from others. Ok. Filipinos eat rice. Does eating rice mean you are Filipino? Does being Filipino mean you eat rice? ***NO!*** It's easy to create analogies and draw parallels, I'm sure everybody reading this has seen at one point in their lives some ridiculous post shared on Facebook thousands to millions of times with a ridiculous parallel drawn attempting to sell some ideology that is pure hogwash. According to official government surveys, over 1 million filipinas are prostitutes, and prostitution is illegal in The Philippines. This does not include those that are former prostitutes, and ONLY includes females. The Philippines only has just over 100 Million people, including children and the elderly, and of course males. That means that WELL over 1% of filipinas are prostitutes, a percent MUCH higher than almost all non-african countries. Take into account the separation of male/female exclude children (except minors involved in prostitution), and include retired prostitutes, that number quickly increases exponentially. Does being filipina mean that you are a prostitute? ***NO!*** Are you starting to see the type or ridiculousness here? We can compare statistics and assign them however we want to further justify our own political means. ***The war on drugs is a smoke screen and the people are too stupid, ignorant, apathetic, or afraid to say something, do something, lest they end up dead and labeled a drug user/pusher***. ### Being under the influence is *NEVER* an excuse for bad behavior. It may have *influenced* you to do things you otherwise would not have done, sure. Alcohol does that too. Caffeine does that too. They're both legal and much more commonly abused. So do me, do yourself, do our country a favor. Stop allowing people that commit heinous acts the *excuse* that they were on drugs. It is not the drugs fault. It's their fault. They did the drugs voluntarily, and they were predisposed to that type of behavior. The drugs (depending on what drugs of course) simply reduced their inhibitions a bit. If we can't accept responsibility for our own actions, the actions of our people, and our own culture then who are we? We are nothing. We are plastic, we are fake, we are a poor example of humanity. Shame on you, shame on us, shame on our nation if this is how we act. ### Fun Fact! The war on drugs has not decreased crimes within our country. It's increased it, but now the police, politicians, and military are offenders. Yay Us! We've turned our defenders, those that are suppose to serve and protect us, into a quite literal organized crime organization. **We're so smart...*** We're idiots. ## Reason 2 ...Politics, Power, Money. Launching a war on drugs allows those in power and officially supported the backing required to take control that otherwise could not be had. It's a power struggle all about money. That's right, this war on drugs is a means to put money in the hands of those that were unable to obtain it otherwise. Gangs are most typically formed as a means to protect a neighborhood when the official government is not doing it's job properly. *"Wow!" you may think as you recall the numerous gangs/fraternities that you know of and have encountered throughout your life*. That's right... they are typically created to protect. The communities typically initially support and are a part of these organizations. The government launching a war on drugs allows it to regulate (with the guise of battling a war) the drug flow off the books. We have seen this in the news, police and other officials planting drugs, shooting first, and all of the deaths in our own neighborhoods of those we knew had nothing to do with drugs in the first place but were found with heads and bodies wrapped in packing tape and signs dropped on them 'drug pusher ako'. Essentially it allows the criminals within the government to redistribute power in a way that is suiting to them, cutting out those that may have previously have been supported by their communities. This is not to say that drug users/pushers are in general supported by their communities. Typically they are not, but they're *usually* more socially accepted than their government counterparts. There is an honor code that even these criminals follow, that the government's counterparts do not. ## THE SOLUTION As proven time and time again, no war on drugs is ever successful to actually curb drugs. Launching a war on drugs does nothing but kill the unlucky and drive the price of said drugs up. The users will still use, particularly if they have chemical addictions. They just more heavily line the pockets of the distributors which actually **increases** the value of importing and distributing drugs, rather than decreasing it. ### So how do we actually solve the issue? #### Step 1. Understand that drug use is typically something that needs help, not incarceration or death. Rehab, and I mean actual rehab not mandatory zumba... that's beyond stupid, for users that want to quit. Arresting and/or killing someone strikes fear into a person which in others promotes rebellion and hate further promoting violence. This doesn't actually solve any problem, fear tactics are for the weak minded. *Are we filipinos weak minded?* #### Step 2. Understand what drugs do what to individuals and WHY they should be legal/illegal. Drugs such as marijuana are illegal for ridiculous reasons and have higher penalties than things such as shabu which have much more harmful effects on the individuals that use the drug, as well as those around them. **Educate the population on these facts, *without political leans, just facts*.** #### Step 3. Legalize * REGULATE Yes, i put 'regulate' in all caps on purpose. Billions of pesos would be able to be taxed, drug dealers (the actual act of buying/dealing is the most dangerous part of drugs) are eliminated, replaced by reputable and regulated shops/stores such as 711 or dispensaries. If we eliminate the illegality of the substances, this essentially cuts the criminals of the industry out of the picture entirely. We are then left only with those that act irrationally while using said drugs, same as we already have for those that are drunk on alcohol. Crime decreases drastically, corruption decreases drastically, police are able to focus more on serving and protecting, rather than murdering of innocent pregnant women and children through their pointless child-like war. # Please. I ask of you, Filipinos, and the foreign community at large. SHINE A LIGHT on these truths. Stop accepting and defending the company line. Stop being stupid. Stop letting our people die. Stop supporting murderers. Insist on a true democracy. Insist on truth. Insist that we are better than this....

Using the use of drugs as an excuse for the behavior is beyond shameful, it's stupid.\n\nAt the time of writing this post there are over 7.6 Billion people in the world. According to surveys over 35% of the global population has used drugs. **That's 2,660,000,000 or *2.6 BILLION people***. Have 2.6 billion people raped their months old daughter? ***NO!***\n\n> Drug users are dangerous and they kill and rape people and steal from others.\n\nOk. Filipinos eat rice. Does eating rice mean you are Filipino? Does being Filipino mean you eat rice? ***NO!*** \n\nIt's easy to create analogies and draw parallels, I'm sure everybody reading this has seen at one point in their lives some ridiculous post shared on Facebook thousands to millions of times with a ridiculous parallel drawn attempting to sell some ideology that is pure hogwash.\n\nAccording to official government surveys, over 1 million filipinas are prostitutes, and prostitution is illegal in The Philippines. This does not include those that are former prostitutes, and ONLY includes females. The Philippines only has just over 100 Million people, including children and the elderly, and of course males. That means that WELL over 1% of filipinas are prostitutes, a percent MUCH higher than almost all non-african countries. Take into account the separation of male/female exclude children (except minors involved in prostitution), and include retired prostitutes, that number quickly increases exponentially.\n\nDoes being filipina mean that you are a prostitute? ***NO!***\n\nAre you starting to see the type or ridiculousness here? We can compare statistics and assign them however we want to further justify our own political means. ***The war on drugs is a smoke screen and the people are too stupid, ignorant, apathetic, or afraid to say something, do something, lest they end up dead and labeled a drug user/pusher***.\n\n### Being under the influence is *NEVER* an excuse for bad behavior.\nIt may have *influenced* you to do things you otherwise would not have done, sure. Alcohol does that too. Caffeine does that too. They're both legal and much more commonly abused. So do me, do yourself, do our country a favor. Stop allowing people that commit heinous acts the *excuse* that they were on drugs. \n\nIt is not the drugs fault. It's their fault. They did the drugs voluntarily, and they were predisposed to that type of behavior. The drugs (depending on what drugs of course) simply reduced their inhibitions a bit. \n\nIf we can't accept responsibility for our own actions, the actions of our people, and our own culture then who are we? We are nothing. We are plastic, we are fake, we are a poor example of humanity. Shame on you, shame on us, shame on our nation if this is how we act.\n\n### Fun Fact!\nThe war on drugs has not decreased crimes within our country. It's increased it, but now the police, politicians, and military are offenders. Yay Us! We've turned our defenders, those that are suppose to serve and protect us, into a quite literal organized crime organization. **We're so smart...*** We're idiots.\n\n## Reason 2\n...Politics, Power, Money. Launching a war on drugs allows those in power and officially supported the backing required to take control that otherwise could not be had. It's a power struggle all about money. That's right, this war on drugs is a means to put money in the hands of those that were unable to obtain it otherwise.\n\nGangs are most typically formed as a means to protect a neighborhood when the official government is not doing it's job properly. *\"Wow!\" you may think as you recall the numerous gangs/fraternities that you know of and have encountered throughout your life*. That's right... they are typically created to protect. The communities typically initially support and are a part of these organizations.\n\nThe government launching a war on drugs allows it to regulate (with the guise of battling a war) the drug flow off the books. We have seen this in the news, police and other officials planting drugs, shooting first, and all of the deaths in our own neighborhoods of those we knew had nothing to do with drugs in the first place but were found with heads and bodies wrapped in packing tape and signs dropped on them 'drug pusher ako'.\n\nEssentially it allows the criminals within the government to redistribute power in a way that is suiting to them, cutting out those that may have previously have been supported by their communities. \n\nThis is not to say that drug users/pushers are in general supported by their communities. Typically they are not, but they're *usually* more socially accepted than their government counterparts. There is an honor code that even these criminals follow, that the government's counterparts do not. \n\n## THE SOLUTION\nAs proven time and time again, no war on drugs is ever successful to actually curb drugs. Launching a war on drugs does nothing but kill the unlucky and drive the price of said drugs up. The users will still use, particularly if they have chemical addictions. They just more heavily line the pockets of the distributors which actually **increases** the value of importing and distributing drugs, rather than decreasing it. \n\n### So how do we actually solve the issue?\n\n#### Step 1. Understand that drug use is typically something that needs help, not incarceration or death.\nRehab, and I mean actual rehab not mandatory zumba... that's beyond stupid, for users that want to quit. Arresting and/or killing someone strikes fear into a person which in others promotes rebellion and hate further promoting violence. This doesn't actually solve any problem, fear tactics are for the weak minded. *Are we filipinos weak minded?*\n\n#### Step 2. Understand what drugs do what to individuals and WHY they should be legal/illegal.\nDrugs such as marijuana are illegal for ridiculous reasons and have higher penalties than things such as shabu which have much more harmful effects on the individuals that use the drug, as well as those around them. **Educate the population on these facts, *without political leans, just facts*.**\n\n#### Step 3. Legalize * REGULATE\nYes, i put 'regulate' in all caps on purpose. Billions of pesos would be able to be taxed, drug dealers (the actual act of buying/dealing is the most dangerous part of drugs) are eliminated, replaced by reputable and regulated shops/stores such as 711 or dispensaries. \n\nIf we eliminate the illegality of the substances, this essentially cuts the criminals of the industry out of the picture entirely. We are then left only with those that act irrationally while using said drugs, same as we already have for those that are drunk on alcohol. Crime decreases drastically, corruption decreases drastically, police are able to focus more on serving and protecting, rather than murdering of innocent pregnant women and children through their pointless child-like war.\n\n# Please. I ask of you, Filipinos, and the foreign community at large. SHINE A LIGHT on these truths. Stop accepting and defending the company line. Stop being stupid. Stop letting our people die. Stop supporting murderers. Insist on a true democracy. Insist on truth. Insist that we are better than this....",
