      "body": "Finally, there was some volatility in stocks, last week.   The moves on August 10th, 2017 triggered some panic selling as more short term selling continued. This will put in a “washout low” in prices as I have been discussing over the past couple of weeks.  I am expecting further rises in the VIX which will trigger a cascade of selling. This pattern will lead the indexes to further declines over the next couple of weeks.  There is NO SELL SIGNAL OR REVERSAL SIGNAL!  After this correction finishes, the markets will breakout into highs which have never before been seen.  I expect to see the Dow Jones reach at least 24,000 sometime during the first half of 2018.\n\nGlobal Central Banks will continue to not only provide support but will increase liquidity in the marketplace. At the beginning of “The Great Financial Crisis of 2017”, they entered into the stock markets to rescue at risk corporations. Afterwards, their efforts shifted to propping up the entire stock market through major purchases of the largest companies.\n\n\nA classic sign of a market in correction is when its’ breadth (on the SPX) continues to diverge from its’ price. The Advance – Decline indicator is declining very quickly. This is a very important warning sign!\n\n\nThe “Dog Days Of August” Have Arrived!\n\nMomentum oscillators are very overbought and turning down. It is time to take your profits off the table if you have not done so already! \n\nThe U.S. dollar is currently trying to make a turn.  If it fails to do so, and declines, I would buy GLD @ $124.00. Instead, central bankers got what they feared, bubbles as stock prices rose faster than the economy could expand.\n\nFaced by bubbles, the new priority for central bankers should be to prepare for a bubble bursting’s. All of these Central Banks QE action operations did NOT create any real growth in our global economies. Therefore, these QE “artificially” inflated stock markets globally, as a byproduct. The Keynesian Monetary Model philosophy is solely based on creating more ‘debt’. \n\nWe are currently witnessing the early chapters of this economic crisis that has started in other parts of the world.\n\nThe Europe Union Bank Recovery and Resolution Directive sets a new common framework across all 28 countries of the European Union on how troubled banks will deal with interventions to prevent failures. It is a framework for managing the orderly resolution of banks that operate across national borders. The agreement went into force on January 1st,2015.\nThe BRRD is an important milestone for Europe due to the fact that within its’ context of this new and wider regulatory reforms are now implemented in the banking and investment industry., It highlights controversial and concerning aspects to ensure that bank creditors will contribute significant funds in the event of a bank failure; this has the potential to fundamentally alter the risks and costs of capital that investors may provide to banks around the globe, today!\n\nIn addition, the crash which usually follows an economic bubble destroys a large amount of wealth and causes continuing economic malaise; this view is associated with the debt-deflation theory and elaborated within Post-Keynesian economics.\nA protracted period of low risk will simply prolong the downturn in asset price deflation as was the case of the Great Depression in the 1930s for much of the world and the 1990s for Japan. Not only can the aftermath of a crash devastate the economy of a nation, but its effects can also reverberate beyond its borders.\nThe FED has the illusion of a recovery, but it’s not the real thing. \n1.\tWe have close to 100 million adult Americans without jobs \n2.\tWe currently have 46 million citizens on food stamps today compared to 18 million back in 2000.\n3.       "body": "The “Great Credit Crisis” of 2007 led to “The Great Recession”, and yet the FED still repeated the same mistakes.  The FED kept the “easy money” policy in effect, and not only that, but, it also introduced “Quantitative Easing” and handed over FREE money to the large banks and corporations. Apparently, they have not learned anything from the last crisis and it looks as though they are on the path of pushing the economy into a deep recession, again. The dangerous part about this, is that they have already used up all of their ammunition, and there is now none left. It is very clear from the chart above, that throughout, Wall Street has dictated what it wants and the FED has obliged. Each rise has been supported by the FED. This indicates that the “real economy” never recovered in order to support the lofty valuations of the SPX, while all along, it was merely the “easy monetary policy” which kept the markets “elevated”.\nThe markets are again prodding the FED and other bankers to act:\n\nThe markets are once again taunting the FED.  Sources indicate that some FED governors are already voicing concerns that rising rates were a mistake. However, many believe that, if the market continues to fall, which it will, it is only a matter of time before the FED announces new measures in order to support the markets. \nWhy the rate cut will not sort out the problem:\n\nAfter the initial recovery from depressed levels, “real growth” has never taken off. The growth keeps slipping into negative territory which indicates that the QE and the rate cuts have not benefited the “real economy”. All of the benefits have been accrued by the bankers and stockholders of publicly traded corporations.\n“The Global Reset”\nThe world leaders as well as the central banks, around the world have merely placed a bandage on their bleeding economies rather than enduring the pain, and pumping money into the “real economy” to generate long-term growth, they have opted to appease the stock markets, thus, creating a large “Asset Bubble”, today. The outcome of their actions, have placed the world economy in jeopardy, which is evident by the collapse of the commodity markets which are being lead down by collapse of oil and currency wars among nations, etc. \nThe only way we can get out of this predicament is to do what is now required, and let the markets implement\n\n“The Global Reset”. \n\n Growth has always returned to the economy after the excesses have been ironed out.  \n\nConclusion:\n\nIt is going to be a sordid year for the stock markets!  The US markets have just finished their worst two weeks of the New Year that have ever been recorded.  This is an indication of what is to come in 2016. The FED is likely to panic and try to correct their past mistake of raising rates, of last December 2015.  They will most likely do whatever it takes, but this time, the markets will not be receptive to their actions, mostly. \nThe best investments are going to be in gold and US Government Bonds.
