| body |

If you have always dreamed of melting that ugly and stubborn layer of fat around your body, and finally getting that six pack that the chicks swoon over, all while still being able to eat your favourite foods, then you may just want to read on...

Hey, sorry if that title and subhead was too "clickbaitey" for your tastes. However cheesy and outrageous that claim may sound, I would say it is true and ABS-olutely possible and achieveable (pun intended)

If you noticed, my title states "How To Burn Fat", without ever mentioning the word "Fast". Well the reason's simple. You can burn away all that fat to your heart's content, but you can't do it fast.

You see, I've been lifting for a long time, and let's face it, almost every guy out there like you and me want to get that smokin' hot bod with that ripped six pack abs, a set of huge guns with the bulging biceps and T-shirt hugging triceps, as well as a well-rounded chest. As I said, 7 years in the iron game chasing aesthetics and strength without turning to drugs and stimulants and the unwillingness to follow a diet regimen has led me on a journey of research into sports science and nutrition, and though there is still alot for me to learn with regards to lifting and fitness, I do know quite a bit about losing that belly fat that doesn't seem to budge no matter how many sit-ups and crunches one does, as well as about packing on solid muscle mass and gaining strength, which I'll probably cover in another post in the future.

So let's begin.

There is only, in my honest opinion, only one principle that rules the realm of fat-loss. Almost every scientific concept and proven diet that helps with weight loss and fat-burning relies on this one principle. Without this, you'll never lose weight or burn fat no matter how hard you try.

To lose weight or burn fat, you MUST be in a calorie deficit

Now, what is a calorie deficit?

A calorie deficit is when you consume less calories than you burn. Or rather, simply put you're using more energy than you take in, where a calorie is a unit of energy.

It's that simple.

ENERGY CONSUMED < ENERGY BURNED

Let's now look at the two parts of the fat-burning, weight loss equation

Energy consumed is really just what you eat. It doesn't matter what you eat, it can be pizza, donuts, fries, fried chicken, basically anything that you love. But do remember that moderation is key, and as long as you're watching how much you eat, there really isn't a need to watch what you eat. Take a look at an experiment done by Prof. Mark Haub, who lost a whopping 27 pounds by eating Twinkies, Oreos and protein shakes every day. Of course, don't even try it because common sense says it's not healthy and is a non-refundable one-way ticket to diabetes. Of course, Prof. Haub went about his daily routine during this experiment, which just goes to show how a mere reduction of calories can directly lead to weight loss or fat loss. ( Haub went from having a BMI of 28.8 to a BMI of 24.9 which is in the acceptable range while he was overweight before. His body fat went from 33.4 to 24.9 percent )

The second component is burning off more energy. How can this be done? By exercising of course.

Going to the gym, lifting heavy shit and doing some form of vigorous activity each day for some time will definitely aid in burning off all them calories. One protocol I personally recommend is HIIT, or high -intensity interval training which has you complete specific strenuous exercises in a short amount of time, usually 20-30 minutes. It has been said to trigger an afterburn effect, where your body keeps working to expend calories at a faster rate for the next 24 hours or so.

Losing weight or burning fat is an eventual process and one should take it slow. Even though you're armed with this neat little fat loss principle, I would suggest against extreme diets where you cut down calories excessively. Males should consume at least 2000 calories a day, females at least 1800. Cutting too many calories out of your diet such as eating only 1400 calories a day may be unsustainable and may cause you to binge-eat.

So, remember not to restrict your diet and eat what you want, but do exercise moderation. Losing weight and getting the body you've always wanted shouldn't be a painful and hard process, but rather a period whereby you experiment with how your body reacts to differing caloric intake amounts. It may take a long time, but it should be sustainable in the long run, and you should see changes in your physique as time goes by.

All the best and have fun!

|

| title | |
| body | @Trevor.Karlson - Here is my somewhat unbiased opinion of Matt ... And this is coming from someone who knows him personally, and has tried to work alongside of him. He's scum. When I first met Matt, I believed every word that came out of his mouth, much like people who are falling into his current trap and latest scam. He's a liar, and he feeds on low hanging fruit. He has taken advantage of thousands of families and he has depleted people's life savings on random magical "hunches" that he comes up with once a year. Matt and everyone else that is within arms reach of him pull this same exact trick once a year, and it's exactly the same everytime. 1. He makes outlandish promises and "launches" regarding systems and products or methods that he has had no prior experience or success with. 2. Before it is launched, there is a build up of anticipation towards things that will never actually exist in the future. 3. Something will go wrong - him or his bimbo wife Tarlese will get sick and they will "postpone" the results that he has promised you. 4. He will then give up, after collecting everyone's money - and blame it on someone else. 5. He will then go off grid and stay under the radar, and string people along like he is "working on a solution" - when really he just takes the money he's earned and will spend it on himself - AKA fake breasts for his wife, lamborghinis, traveling, penthouses/rentals, launching lame clothing brands, and paying his goonies (they're actually just losers who are blind to Matt's games). 6. Then, after his Lamborghinis get destroyed via a flood (karma) or somebody keying it in repercussion of him a piece of shit (karma again) - the rest is spent on fighting legal battles from half of planet earth trying to sue him - then he plans a new attack. He will make it totally irrelevant from the last project so that it's new and exciting - and so that he also has a new target audience who has never heard of him... AKA - Steemit. He's a scumbag. And from somebody who's actually successful inside of the industry pool that Matt consistently pisses in - I wouldn't let my worst enemy go anywhere near this guy. In my industry, Matt is what we all refer to as a "fuckboy" - and eventually someone will probably just stab him (and to think that's my unbiased opinion. lol). Best of luck! |

| title | What A Simple but Weird Daily Practice By My Neighbour Taught Me About Life |
| body | Hey everyone, I've been wanting to write about this for a long while now, and I'm glad that I found a platform and community to share my thoughts that is as wonderful as Steemit. I hope you learn something from this. In my country, our newspaper consists of several different sections, including sports, world news, local news etc. However, there's a rather peculiar section of our newspaper that lies hidden in one of the sections that no one really reads. I'll talk more about it later on. I live in an estate where the majority of residents are elderly and senior citizens who have been living here almost all their lives ( yes my estate is pretty old). My neighbor, Mr Lee is a giant of a man in his 70s, living next door with his wife and occasionally, his grandchildren. He is well-versed in Mandarin and local dialects, but doesn't speak a word of English. Now, recently I noticed something unusual about what my dad does every night without fail, which he has apparently been doing for the past few months now. My dad, every single night before he goes to bed, places the daily newspaper outside Mr Lee's door, and every morning, the same set of newspapers would be returned, folded neatly, and placed outside our door. If at this point, all this doesn't seem weird to you, then read on, because this is where it gets interesting. One day, I asked my dad "Dad, why do you always place the newspapers outside uncle (how I address my neighbors) door?" "Oh, he wants to have a look at one of the sections of the newspapers." "Why doesn't he buy his own set then?" "Well, because he only wants to read a small part of the newspaper." Turns out, the section that is hidden-and-everyone-ignores-except-for-Mr-Lee is the obituaries section. The obituaries section feature the names, faces and dates of people who've recently passed away. That got me curious. Why would he want to read the obituaries section, and only that particular section? My father explained that it was because he wanted to see if anyone he knew passed on. A small practice, that my neighbor did every night, taught me about the importance of life, and cherishing your loved ones. Life is precious, I'm sure many of you here have experienced a loss, be it recently or in the past, would know that life is unpredictable. We never know when our time in this world is up, and the fates of the people around us are similarly shrouded with uncertainty. Many of us take people, things, and moments around us for granted, only to regret and mourn their losses. It may seem depressing, but it is the harsh truth. It saddens and scares me when I think about looking through the obituaries just to see if my classmates, colleagues or acquaintances have left for good as I grow old. Just like Mr Lee. All of us, I'm sure have a group of people we hold dear to our hearts, people we care for. For me, they are my friends and my family. Today, let them know you love them, let them know you are grateful for their presence, and cherish them with all your heart and soul, for you never know when you're going to lose them and never see them again. |
