titleSoon You’ll Be Able To See A Doctor With This Crypto-Currency
bodySoon You’ll Be Able To See A Doctor With This Crypto-Currency Crypto that Promotes Health and Philanthropy MedicCoin is community driven and aims to improve the health of people all around the world. Literally. Not long ago, MedicCoin made a donation to UNHCR to help Syrian refugees. Besides for helping people, it also helps the environment by being mostly POS, which helps reduce harmful energy being used while mining this coin. The MedicCoin team is very open with their real identity and are very involved with both the community and development of their project so they get a 10/10 from me for that. The team also has very clear goals for the project, some of them being to make MedicCoin a normal form of payment in things like cannabis shops, beauty salons and various retails. One of my personal favorite things about this coin is its “Folding@Home” project. After the last Proof Of Work block, Miners begin running calculations to fold proteins which helps find the cure for diseases and research drug properties. Miners are then rewarded in MedicCoin. Another interesting feature is the MedicWalk app. The free app lets you earn cryptocurrency for walking and you can cash these in for cool rewards. I already love walks, so the idea of getting prizes for it sounded unbeatable. The app’s sleek design also appealed to me. Let’s discuss MedicCoin from a crypto standpoint. I’ve invested in several cryptocurrencies. So far, I’ve just been hodling (yes, I spelled that right -look it up). This digital currency is a bit different than my other investments. But my favorite part of MedicWalk is that it costs no money to buy coins -all your money is made from walking. That’s why you’re guaranteed to benefit. Your coins continue to go up as you walk. This isn’t like the instability of other digital currencies where you don’t know if they’ll be worth only half the value tomorrow. Considering Paypal cash and Amazon credit are often reward options, you’re basically being paid real money to walk. Hopefully, you already try to walk around, in which case you’re getting cryptocurrency for something you already do. So far, I see no downsides. While I don’t see MedicCoin rising to extreme values like other cryptos I’ve invested in, considering I’ve spent $0, I’m extremely happy. I’d love to hear other people’s opinions! This project has a lot of potential but has a lot of barriers it has to break down. I look forward to seeing this project develop and watching “Folding@Home” actively helping to make progress in the world of medical research Discord: https://discord.gg/SjudnyK Whitepaper: https://mediccoin.com/MedicCoinWhitePaper.pdf Roadmap: https://mediccoin.com/roadmap/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mediccoin ️Telegram: https://t.me/MedicCoins ️Twitter: https://twitter.com/mediccoin ️Website: https://mediccoin.com/

I’d love to hear other people’s opinions!\n\n\nThis project has a lot of potential but has a lot of barriers it has to break down. I look forward to seeing this project develop and watching “Folding@Home” actively helping to make progress in the world of medical research\n\nDiscord: https://discord.gg/SjudnyK\n\nWhitepaper: https://mediccoin.com/MedicCoinWhitePaper.pdf\n\nRoadmap: https://mediccoin.com/roadmap/\n\nFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/mediccoin\n\n️Telegram: https://t.me/MedicCoins\n\n️Twitter: https://twitter.com/mediccoin\n\n️Website: https://mediccoin.com/",

titleEarn Money By Walking
bodyMedicWalk allows You To Earn Cryptocurrency for Walking MedicWalk on the iOS and Google Play stores are free and it allows you to earn MedicCoin for walking. You can also cash in your walking steps to earn rewards. MedicWalk counts your steps even when you are inside and outside and rewards you with MedicCoin cryptocurrency for walking, running, jogging, jumping, dancing and still earn MedicCoin. My favorite part about MedicWalk is it allows you to trade your MedicCoin on five different cryptocurrency exchanges. I HODL my MedicCoin. Give MedicWalk a try.

titleMy son stays awake playing video games until past midnight and is too tired to go to school in the morning. What can I do about this?
bodyI usually never answer this type of question, but: I am 19 years old, and I used to have the same problems with my parents. Do not try to restrict him by force. It ruined the relationship between me and my parents. I always found a way to play games away from my parents, going as far as taking an education in IT. I recommend that you set him a reasonable limit. Tell him that he must finish his games, and sit down to eat with his family. Give him a warning 30 minutes prior that you will serve food, OR, always eat at the same time. He needs to plan for himself and his friends. Furthermore, tell him that he needs to get at least 6–8 hours of sleep in order to get the recommended amount and make him feel well enough for school. Tell him that he can go to bed earlier and wake up an hour earlier and play for an hour before he goes to school. (Or sleep for another hour). Do not try to restrict him by force. It is what he loves to do and it’s his hobby. It's what he does with his friends. If you restrict him, he will not be respected by his friends (they don’t want to play with him as he just suddenly logs off if you use force), and they will make fun of him. If you know he is talking to his friends in his room, don’t just walk in and start yelling at him for something. Make sure he muted his microphone first so that his friends don’t have to hear his parents. If you give him a certain freedom and don’t act like it’s destroying his life or yours and it’s as bad as drugs, I bet he will also go to bed earlier and go to school without any problems. Just because my parents didn’t give me a chance, it doesn’t mean you can’t give him one.

titleEthereum ASIC is Coming Out This May
bodyRumors of a new ASIC mining rig from Bitmain have driven Ethereum prices well below their one-week high of $585. An ASIC - or Application-specific integrated circuit - in the cryptocurrency world is a chip that designers create for the specific purpose of mining a single currency. Early Bitcoin ASICs, for example, drove adoption up and then, in some eyes, centralized Bitcoin mining in a few hands, thereby thwarting the decentralized ethos of die-hard cryptocurrency fans. According to a CNBC report, analyst Christopher Rolland visited China where he unearthed rumors of a new ASIC chip dedicated to Ethereum mining. "During our travels through Asia last week, we confirmed that Bitmain has already developed an ASIC [application-specific integrated circuit] for mining Ethereum, and is readying the supply chain for shipments in 2Q18," analyst Christopher Rolland wrote in a note to clients Monday. "While Bitmain is likely to be the largest ASIC vendor (currently 70-80% of Bitcoin mining ASICs) and the first to market with this product, we have learned of at least three other companies working on Ethereum ASICs, all at various stages of development." Historically users have mined Ethereum using GPUs which, in turn, led to the unavailability of GPUs for gaming and graphics. However, an ASIC would change the mining equation entirely, resulting in a certain amount of centralization as big players - including Bitmain - created higher barrier to entry for casual miners.

titleBitcoin Price Prediction for March 27 2018
bodyThough Bitcoin broke out of the descending channel on March 20, it could not cross above the 20-day EMA. Currently, prices are again threatening to dip back into the channel, which is a bearish development. Our long positions initiated at $8,800 are trading under a loss. As the setup looks negative, we suggest booking a loss on 50 percent of the open positions and holding the rest with the stops at $7,600. ![bitcoin328.png](https://steemitimages.com/DQmX7oDAk4QMPmt9rzQ6obrJciHNVwMiTG3pF8b58EG5NQY/bitcoin328.png) BTC/USD The next support on the downside is the March 18 lows of $7,715, below which, a retest of the February 06 lows of $6,075.04 is possible. Our bearish view on the BTC/USD pair will be invalidated if prices breakout and sustain above the 50-day SMA.

titleSome Tips for Healthy Sleep!!
bodySome Tips for Healthy Sleep!! syfulcomet (54) in life • 3 days ago Sleeping affects our daily work. If you do not sleep well, its effect as it falls on the body and on the work. We usually pay more attention to how much time we have slept. Most of the sleep eight hours and some sleep 4 or 5 hours in every day. But, how well we sleep, did you ever think about that question? sleeep.jpg Image source Many think that sleep is a great exercise to increase the work quality and enthusiasm. Here I will discuss about some tips for healthy sleep. Create a sleeping environment Depending on where you are sleeping, how good it is to sleep. Young people go to sleep in a sofa or wherever. If you sleeping in the house is a bit cold. Many problems of insomnia can be avoided in the cold room. Researchers think that the ideal temperature of the room should have 19 to 22 degrees Celsius. Be careful; do not sleep in the closed room. It needs wind movement is normal in the room while sleeping. How much sleep in the dark? By running the computer, many of us fall asleep in the table. Sleeping in the dark room is very useful for the normal operation of our body's physiological cycle. Melatonin increases in the body of the dark room, which can easily go to sleep. Those who love to travel or sleep in a light place, they can create dark environment by using black clothes on the eyes. Make a habit of reducing the brightness of the laptop computer or mobile phone in the night. Sunlight for better sleep! Vitamin D is produced in our body by the effects of sunlight. It is not right to work for the dark days all over the place. Try to walk under the light of the sun or exercise in the morning or in the afternoon. Apple vinegar and honey are used for insomnia Taking apple vinegar and honey an hour before of sleeping can be avoided by insomnia. Many stars, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, try to avoid insomnia by drinking two tablespoons of apple vinegar, one spoon honey mixed with hot water regularly. Meditation before sleeping You can practice meditation for ten minutes every day before sleeping and fatigue. Away from the mobile phone When we go to bed for sleeping, it can be seen for 1 to 2 hours, we are again lost in the one and a half inch screen of the mobile phone. Keep your mobile phone at least 10 feet away from the pillow while sleeping for your own positive life. titleIntroducing #SharkSchool - How To Take Over The Trending Page By Being A Bloodthirsty Savage
bodyIntroducing #SharkSchool - How To Take Over The Trending Page By Being A Bloodthirsty Savage yallapapi (62) in steemit • 11 hours ago Alright people, so I'm not going to rehash the same shit I've gone over a million times. Okay, maybe just a little: The Steemit system rewards users who purchase paid upvotes Your content doesn't need to be good to hit the Trending page Most content on the Trending page is shit Most content that's NOT on the Trending page is also shit New people don't put enough effort into their work here because they assume they will be rewarded with STEEM anyway because that's just how the platform is designed They eventually get frustrated once they learn that virtually all exposure on here is purchased Furthermore, there is a learning curve with the vote bots and most people will lose money while they learn Meanwhile, the Trending page is full of poorly written posts that nobody reads The common "wisdom" on this platform is that if you just try hard enough, someday you'll make it People are encouraged to leave comments and "engage" with other users, which leads to 75% of comments being of the generic "great post" variety Users who hit the Trending page don't put effort into their posts because they know they don't need to Users who don't have enough money/balls to use voting bots don't put effort into their posts because they can't afford it The result? A lot of shitty, low effort posts and comments that nobody is reading. Meanwhile, some whales are getting richer by super circle-jerking each other and self-voting their own posts. Nobody's happy. Hail to the king, baby So what's the solution? Simple: better content. Content is, and will always be, king of the internet. Why do people use Facebook, Reddit, Tumblr or 4chan? Because they find those sites informative, entertaining or both. The difference between those platforms and Steemit is that they are sharing sites that [mostly] aggregate content, while Steemit is a blogging platform with an emphasis on original content. The problem is that most of the content here is poorly formatted, uninteresting and full of spelling and grammar mistakes. People are assuming that the posts that earn big bucks on here do so because they're good. That's not the case. They make money because they're upvoted by powerful accounts. Is this sustainable? I dunno. Seems to be working well so far. However, I personally don't want to settle for "sustainable." I'd rather see this platform grow. More users means more eyes on my content, which means more upvotes, more business opportunities and ultimately more money - the reason we all have chosen this platform instead of another one. I believe that if Steemit had an additional 20 high quality content creators who consistently made content that had the potential to go viral, this platform would get blown off the map. People would be sharing links on more established social media platforms that would point back here. In addition to building the Google Juice of the site, it would also give users more direct traffic from massive social media sites like Reddit which aggregate content. That's good for everyone. Drowning in a sea of unrealistic expectations The problem with this site is that people come here with the wrong expectations. I know I did. I came here and thought I'd make money just by posting whatever I wanted. It wasn't until later that I realized that the only way to get noticed was to pay for exposure. Now that people know who I am, it's a little easier. But you better believe that if I didn't promote this post, very few people would get the chance to read it. Any given platform is nothing more than its content. This is especially true for Steemit because "stealing content" is a big no-no over here. Everyone has to come up with their own shit. Statistically speaking, most people don't have any experience creating something designed to entertain. And when you can just buy some upvotes, what's your incentive to learn? By contrast, look at Medium. Nobody is getting paid to write over there, yet the articles are of much higher quality than what you see here. Why? Because over there, people only write when they're inspired. Now before you tell me that quality is subjective, let's define the term. For the purposes of this article, let's say that quality = well-written, properly formatted, grammar/spell-checked, entertaining/informative articles with clickbait headlines, a dash of copywriting, and a handful of paid upvotes. Any way you slice it, there are very few posts on here that fit that tick all of those boxes. We all want this platform to grow, don't we? How are we going to do that unless we venture outside the ecosystem? And we can't just promote some random Indonesian dude with bad grammar, writing about how happy he is to be on Steemit. Normal people will see through it right away if they even bother to read it. Chances are that few of them will, because compared to the million other things they could be doing on the internet, it's not worth their time. How to write good (and do other things good too) So what I want to do is teach people how to write entertaining content that is shareable across platforms. I want to teach you how to profitably use upvote bots to get exposure on the Trending page. I want to teach you how to market yourself on Reddit, Instagram, Facebook and whatever other platform can give you traffic. I want to teach you how to write something interesting. I want to teach you how to write so well, that you can make something uninteresting seem interesting. By doing this, not only do I establish myself as the leader of a group of increasingly talented writers, but I can effectively put people to work creating content that will help this platform grow. Not because I care about any of you or your well-being, but because what's good for @Steemit is good for @yallapapi. And once you learn how to do what I do, my lovely circle-jerkers, it will be good for you too. You can market your business, promote yourself to brands as an influencer, or just make a little money on the side from upvote bots. We'll all grow the platform together by writing quality content and linking to it from outside sources. If you're reading this, then I assume you want the same thing. Nobody is on here saying, "nah, fuck Steemit." No. You're here because you see the potential. Even if you don't understand how to make money yet, you see that some people are doing it and it gives you hope that it's at least possible. Most sales training talks about making things a "win-win" for both buyer and seller. But if you've ever been part of a sales organization with commission-only salespeople, you'll know that it's a very predatory profession. Salespeople talk about making sales like they're talking about going into battle. When we go talk to customers, we refer to it as being "in the field." Know who else says that? The military - another group of predators. That said, it is true that both the seller and buyer need to benefit from the deal. The seller's job is to convince the buyer that the seller's product or service is worth more than the buyer's money. Oftentimes, this requires advanced psychological tricks to remove the roadblocks in the buyer's mind. If the product or service is actually legitimate, most of the time it's in the buyer's best interest to purchase. That doesn't mean that they'll always choose to do so. It requires quick thinking and verbal finesse to convince them. The reason I bring this up is that the fight for the Trending page is going to be the same way. I have my own idea about what it should look like. I want at least 50% of the first 20 posts on there to be by people who I have coached. I know how to keep readers entertained enough to read a 3000 word article, even when their original intent was just to skim it and leave a low-effort comment. And I believe that if I can pass this knowledge onto other people on this platform, they can use it to create high value content that will be shared, hopefully go viral, and help the platform grow. It's lonely at the top, but there's plenty of room Right now, it's not hard for me to stand out on this platform because I can't think of a single person on here who writes like I do. It's easy for me to hog the spotlight now. And while it's a nice ego boost, I need to do what I always encourage other people to do: think bigger. Yeah, I can write 2 posts per week and put them on the Trending page. Shit, I can even write 1 per day if I wanted to. I'm averaging a profit of around 100 Steem per post from my last 3 posts. While that's tempting to think about, I'd rather think bigger than that. Writing a post every day and paying for upvotes is essentially the same as @haejin's short-sighted strategy. Quantity over quality. Or, I can coach a group of 20 potential new writers, grooming them to be the next batch of high quality content creators for this platform. I can directly influence a group of people who will be the Next Big Things on this platform. And by extension, other social platforms where our content will eventually spread as well. So let's talk a little about the details. Here's some of the topics I'm going to cover in #sharkschool: How to find your voice as a writer How to keep the reader entertained How to write long form articles even if you think you have nothing to say How to completely eliminate writers block How write a controversial post without alienating your readers Books/programs that will improve your writing How to format your posts so they "look pretty" How to properly use upvote bots so you don't lose money How to use resteem services to expose your post to everyone on Steemit How to hit the Trending page with every single post How to write something interesting even when you have nothing to talk about How to promote your content on other websites How to market yourself and build your brand How to integrate multiple social platforms so they build on each other How to improve your typing speed That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Will come up with a proper curriculum when I have time. I need to go over to @dolphinschool and rip off some of what they did. Time to sell one of your livers Sound good so far? Well let me give you some bad news: you're going to need some money to make this happen. I'm not going to charge you, but you'll need money to upvote your posts. You'll need money for resteems. I would say about $100 SBD per post should do it. More if you can spare it. $150 would be better. $250 to be safe. So around $200 - $500 US. Keep in mind that this is money that you will get back in the form of SBD and SP after 7 days. If you don't have that, I don't know what to tell you. You'll never hit the Trending page without your post getting those high value upvotes. Shit, maybe I'm wrong, but I've never seen anything on there worth less than triple digits. I don't have the Steemit algorithm in front of me, but I doubt there's a way to circumvent that. I suppose you can still tag along for the ride anyway, but that's only going to get you so far. There are millions of good writers out there. Can you name them? No. Know why? Because they don't know how to promote themselves. That's probably the most important part of what I'll teach you. Not because you're going to make a lot of money from Steemit. Get that out of your mind right now, because it's not gonna happen. In fact, let me make it very clear: you're never going to make a full-time income from your author rewards. It will never, ever, ever, EVER in a billion years happen just by producing content. Sure, you may get lucky here and there with a few upvotes from some high value accounts in addition to what you earn from the vote bots. But unless you're happy to eat hardboiled eggs and oatmeal for every meal, then it's not enough to live on. No more livers? You can also pay with souls If you want to participate, you have to look past the short term rewards that you'll get from your posts. The real value here comes from being a part of a group that will dominate the Trending page of the biggest blockchain-based content platform in the world. Do you realize how powerful that is? You'll be building a rep on a platform that will someday be extremely attractive for advertisers. Make a name for yourself now, learn how to hold someone's attention for 10 minutes, and familiarize yourself with cost-effective marketing strategies - then you'll be in a good place when this platform goes mainstream. If you want to sign up, leave me a comment and tell me what you're most interested in learning. I'll post the first lesson tomorrow. Good luck. What do you want to learn from #sharkschool? You're doing it wrong. This post is an infomercial. It's paid programming. It's the shit we'd see on late night television and it's sitting here in the primetime slot because you're exploiting a flaw in the design of this platform. Regardless of the content, if there are twenty more people following your sales pitch here, this page will only get worse. Twenty more infomercials in the primetime slots only appeal to the people who do not understand the fact they are reading unmarked advertisements and being misled. Twenty more assholes bumping the actual regular content that typically drives these markets towards success down so they can replace it with misleading advertisements and low quality posts like this one of yours will be detrimental to the platform. Many people who worked hard to gain traction here, who produce great stuff, are now being bumped down and replaced by assholes like you. Do people share the advertisement that comes BEFORE the Youtube video or do they share the actual video? The answer to that is so goddamn obvious yet you're sitting here telling people that content consumers will start doing the opposite. The moment this platform starts taking advertising like this seriously and starts doing it properly is the moment we will see a trending page that appeals to a much wider audience. If you go look at Youtube, you will see a trending page. Now, just imagine what would happen to that platform if all of those content producers who worked hard to get where they're at got bumped down and replaced with paid programming and other forms of advertising like this post of yours. Those content producers would quit and not because they're weak failures who lack balls like you say. People quit so they can go find something better. That outcome is what you're encouraging here, yet you say you want the place to thrive. That doesn't make sense. You do not know what you're talking about but because you paid for this primetime slot, people listen. False advertising like this post of yours is the devil, little waterboy, and you should know better. This post should be thrown into the promotion pile and I will not be voting for this trash for the same reasons I do not pay Walmart for leaving a flyer in my mailbox. Do you really think what you're doing will go viral simply because you "write this way?" This post and many more of yours only appeal to a select few on Steemit and the information you're presenting will be irrelevant within months if not weeks. Let's look at the entertainment industry again. Do people collect Walmart flyers and advertisements or do they collect comic books? Again, you have no idea what you're talking about. This post is junk and I burn flyers when I feel like starting a fire. $2.53 16 votes Reply · [-]tibra (51) · 3 hours ago Basically agreed. ``Let's look at the entertainment industry again. The truth bloody hurts, and I've felt that here too! No point in bullshitting folk is there? I was introduced to Steemit in January by an online friend and You-Tuber who I'd wrote some music for his videos. He said all of the usual 'you'll make loads of money from your music' etc etc! But I didn't! I was completely deflated like a double airbed within a week of being here, and I CAN actually write decent content and produce original music. So, I'm now in my 3rd month, on my 2nd account after my original account was hacked by some robbing bastards! I was supported by a fantastic bunch of helpies who created me a new account. My music was heard by the right people, and I now make some SBD every week from my music posts. It's been a real eye opener here but, I totally agree with your point about the importance of up-voting your own content to get 'Some eyes on it' cos, you know what guys? 'Money talks and bullshit walks' So I echo what you are saying to the new users here! Even if you can only afford to chuck 5 or 10 SBD at a bot to upvote your post DO IT! Because you won't make it here if you're not willing to invest in your own content! Just make it good content though eh people, and try to comment on others posts with some worth and intelligence 🧠 Cheers for your post @yallapapi I enjoyed it. That can happen. Or rather it will happen. Because the system is proof of brain; either proof of brain works, or the value crashes or stays down, it seems, among other things, that's why @Dan left. It will happen, or the value of the token will plummet. (Hopefully it doesn't. This is a great project.) Many users, I suggest, like me, can buy votes ... but won't. (Indeed, didn't invest.) I personally want to know if the system can work on proof of brain. There's no mining. It's proof of brain and voting. The security and value of the system depends on content being able to replace mining. If the proof of brain doesn't work by itself, or rather, if everyone has to be an investor, not just a proper fraction people, the system will fail. Because mainstream institutional investors have far more money and will take over the platform directly, or consensus will fill form that proof of brain isn't sufficient o replace mining. @Dan has already written that mining has some advantages. And content needs to improve, also, simply because trending is all most people see. Serious people don't play game and they will go to Youtube and Shitbook, even tho such places basically double as surveillance platforms. They seek interesting things, respectable things. Not all Youtube is tide pod eatery. I like to say, ``What needs to happen, will happen.'' Probably. Or it won't. Systems change under pressure of their own constraints. I've written something like this comment when somebody else (@surfermarly) last had a trending page post regarding this issue. I said, If there is no proof of brain, there is no voice in the long, no archiving, no blockchain. Investment AND content cannot be required from every user, because most users have nothing to invest, first of all, which is why delegated proof of stake is potentially superior to mining, and second, if voice remains but is invisible, user retention will drop to the point the delegated proof of stake is not sustainable. Not secure. And then everybody loses their voice. Think of social networks as dynamical systems which generate requirements top down onto their users. It's a good way to look at networks and make predictions. $0.01 5 votes Reply · [-]rajuahamed (6) · 6 hours ago good steemit life writing post thank for shearing $0.00 1 vote Reply [-]garudi (61) · 2 hours ago I'm a Jellyfish. Okay, maybe just a little:\n\nThe Steemit system rewards users who purchase paid upvotes\nYour content doesn't need to be good to hit the Trending page\nMost content on the Trending page is shit\nMost content that's NOT on the Trending page is also shit\nNew people don't put enough effort into their work here because they assume they will be rewarded with STEEM anyway because that's just how the platform is designed\nThey eventually get frustrated once they learn that virtually all exposure on here is purchased\nFurthermore, there is a learning curve with the vote bots and most people will lose money while they learn\nMeanwhile, the Trending page is full of poorly written posts that nobody reads\nThe common \"wisdom\" on this platform is that if you just try hard enough, someday you'll make it\nPeople are encouraged to leave comments and \"engage\" with other users, which leads to 75% of comments being of the generic \"great post\" variety\nUsers who hit the Trending page don't put effort into their posts because they know they don't need to\nUsers who don't have enough money/balls to use voting bots don't put effort into their posts because they can't afford it\nThe result? A lot of shitty, low effort posts and comments that nobody is reading. Meanwhile, some whales are getting richer by super circle-jerking each other and self-voting their own posts. Nobody's happy.\n\nHail to the king, baby\nSo what's the solution? Simple: better content. Content is, and will always be, king of the internet.\n\nWhy do people use Facebook, Reddit, Tumblr or 4chan? Because they find those sites informative, entertaining or both. The difference between those platforms and Steemit is that they are sharing sites that [mostly] aggregate content, while Steemit is a blogging platform with an emphasis on original content.\n\nThe problem is that most of the content here is poorly formatted, uninteresting and full of spelling and grammar mistakes. People are assuming that the posts that earn big bucks on here do so because they're good. That's not the case. They make money because they're upvoted by powerful accounts.\n\nIs this sustainable? I dunno. Seems to be working well so far.\n\nHowever, I personally don't want to settle for \"sustainable.\" I'd rather see this platform grow. More users means more eyes on my content, which means more upvotes, more business opportunities and ultimately more money - the reason we all have chosen this platform instead of another one.\n\nI believe that if Steemit had an additional 20 high quality content creators who consistently made content that had the potential to go viral, this platform would get blown off the map. People would be sharing links on more established social media platforms that would point back here.\n\nIn addition to building the Google Juice of the site, it would also give users more direct traffic from massive social media sites like Reddit which aggregate content. That's good for everyone.\n\nDrowning in a sea of unrealistic expectations\nThe problem with this site is that people come here with the wrong expectations. I know I did.\n\nI came here and thought I'd make money just by posting whatever I wanted. It wasn't until later that I realized that the only way to get noticed was to pay for exposure. Now that people know who I am, it's a little easier. But you better believe that if I didn't promote this post, very few people would get the chance to read it.\n\nAny given platform is nothing more than its content. This is especially true for Steemit because \"stealing content\" is a big no-no over here. Everyone has to come up with their own shit.\n\nStatistically speaking, most people don't have any experience creating something designed to entertain. And when you can just buy some upvotes, what's your incentive to learn?\n\nBy contrast, look at Medium. Nobody is getting paid to write over there, yet the articles are of much higher quality than what you see here. Why? Because over there, people only write when they're inspired.\n\nNow before you tell me that quality is subjective, let's define the term. For the purposes of this article, let's say that quality = well-written, properly formatted, grammar/spell-checked, entertaining/informative articles with clickbait headlines, a dash of copywriting, and a handful of paid upvotes.\n\nAny way you slice it, there are very few posts on here that fit that tick all of those boxes.\n\nWe all want this platform to grow, don't we? How are we going to do that unless we venture outside the ecosystem? And we can't just promote some random Indonesian dude with bad grammar, writing about how happy he is to be on Steemit.\n\nNormal people will see through it right away if they even bother to read it. Chances are that few of them will, because compared to the million other things they could be doing on the internet, it's not worth their time.\n\nHow to write good (and do other things good too)\nSo what I want to do is teach people how to write entertaining content that is shareable across platforms. I want to teach you how to profitably use upvote bots to get exposure on the Trending page. I want to teach you how to market yourself on Reddit, Instagram, Facebook and whatever other platform can give you traffic. I want to teach you how to write something interesting. I want to teach you how to write so well, that you can make something uninteresting seem interesting.\n\nBy doing this, not only do I establish myself as the leader of a group of increasingly talented writers, but I can effectively put people to work creating content that will help this platform grow. Not because I care about any of you or your well-being, but because what's good for @Steemit is good for @yallapapi.\n\nAnd once you learn how to do what I do, my lovely circle-jerkers, it will be good for you too. You can market your business, promote yourself to brands as an influencer, or just make a little money on the side from upvote bots. We'll all grow the platform together by writing quality content and linking to it from outside sources.\n\nIf you're reading this, then I assume you want the same thing. Nobody is on here saying, \"nah, fuck Steemit.\" No. You're here because you see the potential. Even if you don't understand how to make money yet, you see that some people are doing it and it gives you hope that it's at least possible.\n\nMost sales training talks about making things a \"win-win\" for both buyer and seller. But if you've ever been part of a sales organization with commission-only salespeople, you'll know that it's a very predatory profession. Salespeople talk about making sales like they're talking about going into battle. When we go talk to customers, we refer to it as being \"in the field.\"\n\nKnow who else says that? The military - another group of predators.\n\nThat said, it is true that both the seller and buyer need to benefit from the deal. The seller's job is to convince the buyer that the seller's product or service is worth more than the buyer's money.\n\nOftentimes, this requires advanced psychological tricks to remove the roadblocks in the buyer's mind. If the product or service is actually legitimate, most of the time it's in the buyer's best interest to purchase. That doesn't mean that they'll always choose to do so. It requires quick thinking and verbal finesse to convince them.\n\nThe reason I bring this up is that the fight for the Trending page is going to be the same way. I have my own idea about what it should look like. I want at least 50% of the first 20 posts on there to be by people who I have coached. I know how to keep readers entertained enough to read a 3000 word article, even when their original intent was just to skim it and leave a low-effort comment.\n\nAnd I believe that if I can pass this knowledge onto other people on this platform, they can use it to create high value content that will be shared, hopefully go viral, and help the platform grow.\n\nIt's lonely at the top, but there's plenty of room\nRight now, it's not hard for me to stand out on this platform because I can't think of a single person on here who writes like I do. It's easy for me to hog the spotlight now. And while it's a nice ego boost, I need to do what I always encourage other people to do: think bigger.\n\nYeah, I can write 2 posts per week and put them on the Trending page. Shit, I can even write 1 per day if I wanted to. I'm averaging a profit of around 100 Steem per post from my last 3 posts.\n\nWhile that's tempting to think about, I'd rather think bigger than that. Writing a post every day and paying for upvotes is essentially the same as @haejin's short-sighted strategy. Quantity over quality.\n\nOr, I can coach a group of 20 potential new writers, grooming them to be the next batch of high quality content creators for this platform. I can directly influence a group of people who will be the Next Big Things on this platform. And by extension, other social platforms where our content will eventually spread as well.\n\nSo let's talk a little about the details. Here's some of the topics I'm going to cover in #sharkschool:\n\nHow to find your voice as a writer\nHow to keep the reader entertained\nHow to write long form articles even if you think you have nothing to say\nHow to completely eliminate writers block\nHow write a controversial post without alienating your readers\nBooks/programs that will improve your writing\nHow to format your posts so they \"look pretty\"\nHow to properly use upvote bots so you don't lose money\nHow to use resteem services to expose your post to everyone on Steemit\nHow to hit the Trending page with every single post\nHow to write something interesting even when you have nothing to talk about\nHow to promote your content on other websites\nHow to market yourself and build your brand\nHow to integrate multiple social platforms so they build on each other\nHow to improve your typing speed\nThat's all I can think of off the top of my head. Will come up with a proper curriculum when I have time. I need to go over to @dolphinschool and rip off some of what they did.\n\nTime to sell one of your livers\nSound good so far? Well let me give you some bad news: you're going to need some money to make this happen.\n\nI'm not going to charge you, but you'll need money to upvote your posts. You'll need money for resteems. I would say about $100 SBD per post should do it. More if you can spare it. $150 would be better. $250 to be safe. So around $200 - $500 US. Keep in mind that this is money that you will get back in the form of SBD and SP after 7 days.\n\nIf you don't have that, I don't know what to tell you. You'll never hit the Trending page without your post getting those high value upvotes. Shit, maybe I'm wrong, but I've never seen anything on there worth less than triple digits. I don't have the Steemit algorithm in front of me, but I doubt there's a way to circumvent that.\n\nI suppose you can still tag along for the ride anyway, but that's only going to get you so far. There are millions of good writers out there. Can you name them? No. Know why? Because they don't know how to promote themselves. That's probably the most important part of what I'll teach you.\n\nNot because you're going to make a lot of money from Steemit. Get that out of your mind right now, because it's not gonna happen.\n\nIn fact, let me make it very clear: you're never going to make a full-time income from your author rewards. It will never, ever, ever, EVER in a billion years happen just by producing content.\n\nSure, you may get lucky here and there with a few upvotes from some high value accounts in addition to what you earn from the vote bots. But unless you're happy to eat hardboiled eggs and oatmeal for every meal, then it's not enough to live on.\n\nNo more livers? You can also pay with souls\nIf you want to participate, you have to look past the short term rewards that you'll get from your posts. The real value here comes from being a part of a group that will dominate the Trending page of the biggest blockchain-based content platform in the world. Do you realize how powerful that is?\n\nYou'll be building a rep on a platform that will someday be extremely attractive for advertisers. Make a name for yourself now, learn how to hold someone's attention for 10 minutes, and familiarize yourself with cost-effective marketing strategies - then you'll be in a good place when this platform goes mainstream.\n\nIf you want to sign up, leave me a comment and tell me what you're most interested in learning. I'll post the first lesson tomorrow.\n\nGood luck.\nWhat do you want to learn from #sharkschool?\nLet me know in a comment!\nCan't get enough of me? It's paid programming. It's the shit we'd see on late night television and it's sitting here in the primetime slot because you're exploiting a flaw in the design of this platform.\n\nRegardless of the content, if there are twenty more people following your sales pitch here, this page will only get worse. Twenty more infomercials in the primetime slots only appeal to the people who do not understand the fact they are reading unmarked advertisements and being misled. Twenty more assholes bumping the actual regular content that typically drives these markets towards success down so they can replace it with misleading advertisements and low quality posts like this one of yours will be detrimental to the platform.\n\nMany people who worked hard to gain traction here, who produce great stuff, are now being bumped down and replaced by assholes like you.\n\nDo people share the advertisement that comes BEFORE the Youtube video or do they share the actual video? The answer to that is so goddamn obvious yet you're sitting here telling people that content consumers will start doing the opposite.\n\nThe moment this platform starts taking advertising like this seriously and starts doing it properly is the moment we will see a trending page that appeals to a much wider audience.\n\nIf you go look at Youtube, you will see a trending page. That doesn't make sense.\n\nYou do not know what you're talking about but because you paid for this primetime slot, people listen. False advertising like this post of yours is the devil, little waterboy, and you should know better.\n\nThis post should be thrown into the promotion pile and I will not be voting for this trash for the same reasons I do not pay Walmart for leaving a flyer in my mailbox.\n\nDo you really think what you're doing will go viral simply because you \"write this way?\" This post and many more of yours only appeal to a select few on Steemit and the information you're presenting will be irrelevant within months if not weeks.\n\nLet's look at the entertainment industry again. The truth bloody hurts, and I've felt that here too! No point in bullshitting folk is there?\nI was introduced to Steemit in January by an online friend and You-Tuber who I'd wrote some music for his videos. He said all of the usual 'you'll make loads of money from your music' etc etc! But I didn't! I was completely deflated like a double airbed within a week of being here, and I CAN actually write decent content and produce original music.\nSo, I'm now in my 3rd month, on my 2nd account after my original account was hacked by some robbing bastards! 'Money talks and bullshit walks'\nSo I echo what you are saying to the new users here!\n\nEven if you can only afford to chuck 5 or 10 SBD at a bot to upvote your post DO IT! (Hopefully it doesn't. This is a great project.)\n\nMany users, I suggest, like me, can buy votes ... but won't. (Indeed, didn't invest.)\n\nI personally want to know if the system can work on proof of brain. There's no mining. It's proof of brain and voting. The security and value of the system depends on content being able to replace mining. If the proof of brain doesn't work by itself, or rather, if everyone has to be an investor, not just a proper fraction people, the system will fail.\n\nBecause mainstream institutional investors have far more money and will take over the platform directly, or consensus will fill form that proof of brain isn't sufficient o replace mining. @Dan has already written that mining has some advantages.\n\nAnd content needs to improve, also, simply because trending is all most people see. Serious people don't play game and they will go to Youtube and Shitbook, even tho such places basically double as surveillance platforms. They seek interesting things, respectable things. Not all Youtube is tide pod eatery.\n\nI like to say, ``What needs to happen, will happen.'' Probably. Or it won't.\n\nSystems change under pressure of their own constraints.\n\nI've written something like this comment when somebody else (@surfermarly) last had a trending page post regarding this issue. Not secure. And then everybody loses their voice.\n\nThink of social networks as dynamical systems which generate requirements top down onto their users. It's a good way to look at networks and make predictions.\n\n$0.01\n5 votes\nReply\n·\n[-]rajuahamed (6) · 6 hours ago\ngood steemit life writing post thank for shearing\n\n$0.00\n1 vote\nReply\n[-]garudi (61) · 2 hours ago\nI'm a Jellyfish.\n\nI get eaten by Sharks.\n\nI bet Whales like to dine on me too.\n\nBut together we hold this place together.\n\nAnd everyday I shock\n\nand even if you try to cut me up\n\nIn isolation and desolation\n\nEverday day I shock.\n\nThe Nature of Life. titleCRPT token contest on HitBTC
bodyHi there! As you know, we have recently launched a contest to celebrate the coming of CRPT tokens to the HitBTC exchange. Anyone can post their prediction of the price for CRPT tokens in 6 months’ time for a chance to win $100 000 here. So far, the average price that is predicted by participants is $15.5 per CRPT token! And only 0.1% believe the price will fall below the point that was at the start of the ICO. We are delighted by this support from our community. Thank you for believing in Crypterium! We will do our best to fulfil your expectations. CRPT tokens are going to be listed on their first exchange, HitBTC, in just 15 hours. It is a crucial step towards Crypterium’s goal. What is the point of exchange platforms? In order to reach a wider audience and let more people use its services, Crypterium has to list CRPT tokens on exchange platforms. CRPT tokens are the only currency that will be used to pay the crypto-fiat transaction fee in payment infrastructure. At the same time, a small amount of tokens will be destroyed by the smart contract with every transaction - as a result, the amount of active tokens will be constantly decreasing. The total amount of tokens issued is 99,983,677. All tokens were issued just after Crypterium’s ICO; no further CRPT token emission will happen ever. Every CRPT token holder will have full access to all services provided by Crypterium’s app. Having had the largest ICO in history by token buyers, Crypterium is still capable of reaching a much larger potential audience - millions of people, including those who have never even heard of Crypterium’s ICO. Generally speaking, had Crypterium done nothing to get CRPT tokens listed in various exchanges, the market for those tokens would still emerge. This would, however, be a wild and uncivilized process. Transactions would be carried out on dubious sites with no guarantees and with a high risk of getting scammed. Exchange platforms offer a regulated and transparent way to trade tokens. For those who need CRPT tokens but did not purchase them during the sale period, exchanges are the place to go to. You will soon - in fact, in just 15 hours - be able to buy CRPT tokens from the original token holders, who purchased them during Crypterium’s ICO. Make sure to follow us on social media to get all the future updates on Crypterium’s progress. With Crypterium, you have made the right choice. A bright future awaits!

titlealtcon.io Decentralized Exchanged Delayed the release
bodyUpdate: We’re delaying our DEX’s mainnet release for side chain plasma like solution TLDR: We’re delaying our mainnet release so we can speed up trades using a side chain plasma like solution. This means our DEX will be fast, trades instant, and you’ll never miss a trading opportunity through on-chain delay. To compensate for the delay, we’re increasing all referral rewards by 5%. Thank you for your patience while we’ve been building our decentralized exchange. You’ve shown incredible support so far: registering online, referring friends, and testing our atomic swap wallet. Today, we’d like to ask for your patience again as we delay the mainnet release of Altcoin.io until Q2 2018. Rather than releasing a mediocre decentralized exchange now, we don’t want to compromise on trading speed and our proposed solution means you’ll be able to trade lightning fast, ensuring you won’t ever miss a trading opportunity because transactions times are too slow. With our mainnet release you’ll be able to make trades quickly, securely, and with lower fees than current centralized exchanges. Why the delay? On-chain atomic swaps are really slow. Those of you who’ve atomically swapped tokens on our testnet wallet will know how close we are to realizing the potential of our decentralized exchange, but trades are still too slow — taking between five and twenty minutes because of on-chain confirmation times. To address transaction speed issues typically seen within most current decentralized exchanges, we’re working on a off chain plasma like solution (learn more here). This is the future of decentralized cryptocurrency trading: instant, low-fee trades of virtually any token, all secured by the blockchain. This enables us to truly compete with centralized exchanges, but without exposing you to their risks. And to do this right, we need a bit more time. As well as working on off chain plasma like solution, we‘ll be conducing more formal bug bounties to fortify our decentralized exchange, and ramp up our operations team (customer service, community managers, etc.) so when we launch we’ll fully deliver on our promise of creating the cryptocurrency exchange of the future. What’s in it for you? We’re increasing referral commission by 5%. To compensate for the delay, we’re increasing all referral rewards by 5%. Why are off-chain solutions so important? They give fast transactions. The big problem with processing on-chain transactions, whether it’s swapping altcoins or simply sending Bitcoin these days, is that every node on the blockchain network has to agree and process that change. This makes everything super slow — especially when making a lot of changes (as a trading exchange would). As well as being frustrating, this hinders performance and could cost you money in missed trading opportunities. Plasma, on the other hand, is an off-chain mechanism for tallying changes, whether they’re altcoin trades, smart contracts, or DAPPs — and only updating the blockchain once someone (trader, for example) signs off on the final outcome. The blockchain validates each signature over a holding period which ensures mistakes or fraudulent transactions are caught before hitting the blockchain. Since there’s no need to update the blockchain for every single transaction, plasma is fast, scalable, and private, with only final changes (a balance of trades, per say) published on-chain when each traders wants to exit exchange. Exactly the criteria we’re looking for in our decentralized exchange. We’ll be releasing a draft version of our white paper soon. This is just the start but we’re hoping to have a proof-of-concept completed within the next month or so. When will you know more? Over the coming weeks, we’ll continue providing technical insights into our decentralized exchange and the technology we’re using to build it, as well as keeping you informed of our vision and road map. We’re extremely excited about the next stage of our development, and even more excited about releasing the world’s first decentralized exchange to leverage a side chain plasma like solution. Until then, thanks again for your patience, and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact us. Altcoin.io Team
