Sunday, July 16th, 2017, 6pm. You were happy. Free rides to O-town, I guess. That made you very happy. Good for you. Michelle knew at that point that you also payed for fucks. That was very easy, actually — she had checked your Facebook. And your followers included twenty-odd profiles with not more than a name, a location (your city), two photos and a link to nude photos and booking and such like. That isn’t a proof, of course. But you had openly admitted to her that you were addicted to sex. Violent non-consensual sex included, as it seemed.\n\nAs Michelle went back to her apartment, she was relieved. She phoned her best friend and answered all her questions — how your dick was like, which positions, etc. She didn’t say *how* you did it though, how violently, how disgustingly. She was traumatized and would remain it four the following four months. Sure, the memories were there, but she preferred to only talk about the aspects that didn’t hurt her when she talked about it. Even in front of her best friend. Even in front of herself.\n\n***\n\nYou frequently sent her text messages in the days after the weekend of her trauma. The weekend that you made her. The trauma that you gave her. You sent her things like “your sex is on fire”, and “want to come to my town for a weekend?”\n\nMichelle was hurting. Somehow she managed to bury the psychological pain, for the moment at least. But physically… she could barely walk, she could hardly sit, that was how much you ripped her into pieces. You were also to generous to pass your sexually transmittable diseases on to her (as you had tricked her into not using a condom), and the symptoms were gross, to say the least. Michelle kept quiet about it. Cleaned her life up as well as she could. Went to work and played soccer, even though the pain was unbearable. Didn’t go to the doctor because she was ashamed. She didn’t tell you much about it, either. She was a good girl, after all.\n\nOh, and your invitation to come to your town for a weekend? She accepted. She wasn’t stupid, she was just diligent. And a good girl. A very good girl. And she feared that you would just visit her again if she didn’t come to your place. She would have preferred to die than to have you at her house again. Ever. Again. So she went to visit you, two weeks after your visit at her place.\n\n***\n\nShe arrived at your town. Which had been her town, a mere five weeks ago. But she had gone to work in a different town over summer. It was Friday afternoon, July 28, 2017. She went up to your little room in a shared apartment. She saw all the beer bottles around. Literally everywhere. She wasn’t stupid, and she knew a little math. Up in the room she calculated that the amount of bottles averages to two bottles a day since you had come to your town. That is, assuming you had never brought away any bottles, and also not counting the plethora of bottles you consumed at various bars each night (which you openly admitted). Sex and alcohol are your addictions. Like you need something to take the focus of yourself. You have a psychological problem, rapist, and a big one it must be.\n\nStill, she felt kind of relieved upon arrival. You were on the phone with your girlfriend most of the time, or with your parents who were visiting Europe and obviously needed your guidance around Poland (where you had never been). You talked to them, anyway, for hours. And it relieved Michelle because it meant less time for you to fuck her up. Again.\n\nSometime Friday evening, you felt hungry, and suggested cooking chicken with bananas. She was ok with it (she didn’t really have a choice but to be ok with it, because she knew by now that you would get more violent if she wasn’t). So you went out to the supermarket with her, bought chicken and bananas, chopped chicken and bananas, put them in the pan and waited until it all cooked into an ugly, gooey mess. She ate it.\n\nYou took her back to your room and switched on some kind of horror movie, waited for ten minutes, pressed pause, and raped her. Just like when you had visited her. The only difference was that Michelle really, really needed to go to your (not very clean) bathroom after you did that. Just to take care of all the blood and pus and oddly colored discharge. Your greedy deeds were taking a toll on her. When you came back, you pressed play again, waited for ten minutes, raped again, and so on until 2am, when you fell asleep and she did, too.\n\n***\n\nSaturday you suggested to go into a town because you wanted to sit in a café and do some work (really??). Michelle (of course) agreed, and duddled around on her computer like you did on yours. Interrupted by phone calls to your girlfriend and your parents. By the afternoon, you were back in your apartment and phoned more. And in the evening, copy-paste Friday night. You always raped with the same pattern.\n\nSome more rape Sunday morning (this time without movie), before I needed to catch my train back to my town. At the train station you suggested that she helped you with German (she was a native speaker and you were living in Germany but didn’t speak a word of it), in exchange for you helping her with Spanish. You suggested to do that via video call, as you usually were in different cities. She was ok with it (of course).\n\n***\n\nMichelle got sick as a consequence of your STIs. Keeping her life together got harder and harder. She ate less and slept more. It was Wednesday, August 2, 2017, in the early afternoon, when her landlady found her broken down on the kitchen floor, half unconcious and drenched in sweat, and called the ambulance.\n\nMichelle was brought to the hospital with 40.5°C fever. The doctors kept her there until Monday, August 7, when she had no fever any more after a few rounds of antibiotics. But even there, she didn’t tell the doctors what was the cause of her sickness. She was traumatized and ashamed.\n\nThe week she was in hospital she messaged you several times, telling you about her state and letting you know that you ought to get your STIs treated. You didn’t respond once.\n\nYou phoned her after she had come back from the hospital to learn German. She confronted you with the fact that she had gotten sick because of you, but you kept saying it must be an infection of the bladder. It later turned out that you had given her at least three diseases which had survived the first round of antibiotics (so who knows how many you had given to her in the first place), and which took Michelle six months to fully get rid of.\n\n***\n\nPart 5 following soon. Neither did she respond to your kisses or grope your body like you did hers. Kind of like an ice block, actually. Very passive, no signs of enjoyment. Sometimes during your greedy acts you would ask her whether she was ok, but you only got more violent if she didn’t respond — so she nodded most of the time to evade further consequences.\n\nYou had lunch at the lab with Michelle, then you continued towards the city. You had dinner in the city, then returned to the apartment and committed your greedy sins until 3 am in the morning.\n\n***\n\nMichelle made breakfast like on Saturday. She cooked you lunch at 1 pm, and she brought you to the train station at around 3 pm. You f*cked her in the time between breakfast and lunch, and between lunch and the train station. Of course the government should discourage that from happening. She had explicitly expressed her discomfort prior to it, and he had inserted his tongue into her mouth, and this had happened in Germany, so technically that was already rape by German law.\n\nI would call you all kinds of nasty things if I didn’t know better. But I must admit that you very astutely noticed her naïvety, or, as I prefer it, lack of experience due to queerness. This was probably not due to any intelligence — after all, you didn’t perform excellently at work and didn’t even have the social skills to get yourself a friend to drink your daily beers with, not even one. Yes, I am talking to you, my rapist.\n\n***\n\nHad Michelle read these two paragraphs before it had happened, maybe that would have been the end of the story. And she could have enjoyed the time that followed, instead of becoming physically and mentally traumatized.\n\nBut Michelle knew nothing. Michelle was a diligent person who tried to act in the way people expected from her. And Michelle believed that a kiss was a sign of sincere affection. So it should come as no surprise that she did not scream. She did not hit. She sat there and didn’t know what to do — run out of the bar (and hope to never see you again), or believe that you really really liked her (although, if you had, you wouldn’t have approached her in the way you did, rapist).\n\nYou saw her wide-open eyes and decided it was your time. You shifted to her side of the table and started to touch her all over the place. And Michelle for f\\*ck’s sake didn’t know what to do. You talked about visiting her in the town in France in which she was working over summer and to which she was departing in two days. (After all, that wouldn’t be a big deal for you, this weekend you were spending in your girlfriend’s town and you were departing in an hour. So you were kind of used to the lifestyle of f\\*cking up a girl in a different town at the weekends, I guess.)\n\nAnd when it was time for you to go to your girlfriend, you told me to write him an Email to tell him when you can visit me.\n\n***\n\nMichelle was completely confused and utterly overwhelmed. She went back to work (it was a Thursday after lunch — and by the way, yes, the rapist had just enjoyed three beers immediately before driving a car). She worked as normally, did her farewell for the colleagues the following day, packed her bags and went to France.\n\nThe first couple of weeks in France she had lengthy phone calls with her best friend concerning the kissing incident and what to do next. In short, she was trying incredibly hard to fit into that cisgender heterosexual box. *(Spoiler alert: She really doesn’t fit in that box and she is f\\*cking proud of it today.)*\n\nMichelle was an intelligent person. But even though she had always refused sexual activities with men because she didn’t feel comfortable with it, she felt pressured to do it. And during her first two weeks in France, these were her thoughts (although admittedly most of the time she thought about her new work and the soccer team which she had founded and her new friends in France and everything else that belongs to life, of course):\n\n1- She must be a woman because she had been born in a female body. *(Spoiler alert: Nope.)*\n2- As a woman, it is her duty to engage in the activities that a man and a woman do (in private). *(Spoiler alert: Nope.)*\n3- This man obviously had real feelings for her because he had kissed her (and that is a display of feelings). *(Spoiler alert: Nope, he kissed her as a prelude for f\\*cking her over.)*\n4- The fact that this person had a girlfriend but still kissed her puts him in a bad light, for sure, but it also shows that the relationship with her is not going well. And if he is cheating on her that surely means that that relationship is going to end soon. *(Spoiler alert: Nope. He was treating his girlfriend like the last piece of sh\\*t, as Michelle got to witness later.)*\n\n***\n\nToday I marvel in Michelle’s power to have developed such an elaborate chain of thoughts around such a stupid incident. *(Spoiler alert: Today, people still sometimes try to approach Michelle in a manner of disrespect or predatory behavior because she has style, and some swag and attitude also. The best outcome for these people is to be ignored. Sometimes Michelle just invents a story so stupid that eventually they leave out of confusion. If necessary, she defends herself in a way in which the physical integrity of the predator cannot be guaranteed.)*\n\nMichelle had the power of (non-queer) thoughts, but she didn’t have the power to neglect little *ssholes like you. And there is an easy explanation for that: She had just got out of a very difficult time in her life, but I will write about that another time. *(Alert: Stay tuned!)* And you just took advantage of her situation in the dumbest way imaginable. I decided to separate her from the rest of my personality so that I can live my life without thinking of you.\n\nMichelle was an ambitious person. She had plans for her life. She had a future. That was Michelle. That was f*ckable, you probably thought.\n\nYou introduced yourself to her. Michelle is that kind of girl who is shy and open-minded at the same time, you thought. Naïve, even. Too focused on physics. No idea how f*ckable she is, you thought.\n\nYou were wrong. Michelle knew exactly how f*ckable she was. You are not the only man who goes crazy about her, and you never were. But I am queer (and still figuring it out, to be honest). Saying “no” to cisgender men who wanted sex with me was my choice. I did that for years. Oh, and I have ten years of experience in martial arts in my pocket, just in case you don’t understand my “no” correctly. (And I have used that, too.)\n\nShe excited you. She fascinated you. You talked to her on the way to lunch and back. You wanted to f*ck her, badly.\n\n***\n\nYou liked bars, nightlife, and alcohol at any time of day. Michelle didn’t. You didn’t know how to get furher along with her.\nIn June 2017 told the research group that she was going to another city over summer. She organized a little farewell evening among colleagues on her last day at work, but it was a Friday evening and you wanted to leave on Thursday to spend the weekend with your girlfriend in yet another town. She told you that she doesn’t want to have a boyfriend because she doesn’t want to get intimate with men.
