bodyOne more sad thing: The “friend” I am protecting is the very same friend who has chosen to turn all of this on me at the most random of moments. It is House Who I _*was*_ protecting with my silence. Well, now- I ask you to slow down on your accusations until you are up to speed on the truth, in _*context*_. You have been fed a spoon full of decorative bullshit. I was not going to insult you by feeding into this hate rally, and you will probably at some point see that your erroneous move was first to believe only what you have been offered without any such prerequisite probing, not even so much as a “what happened?” was uttered in my direction until I pointed out that you were assuming too much. Tabloid smut is what this is reducing it too. The cost, according to what House wishes, would be my credibility, my livelihood and my now empty pantry. However, I am not so easily snuffed out in the face of such abomination. I was protecting the hand that continues to slap me in the face while enjoying bountiful feasts of which I have none. He is the one I was protecting. Without his reciprocal courtesy I am inclined to take this to the next level. It isn’t my interests to convince you. It is my interest to survive. That’s proving to be a challenge with this shit fogging up my reputation and I don’t deserve it. 🔛

bodySee this is what I was trying to stay above. I have the entire story and I have been biting my tongue but it’s coming to the surface now because I am sick of trashy, out of context betrayals by the jerk who is Sharing only part of a very suggestive series of conversations. It’s not fair to share this crap because it forces my hand . I don’t want to stoop as low as this but I will, because I am forced to since you are blind to the fact that this “confession” was almost 3 months ago and the events that transpired in the lengthy period between this conversation and the day he snapped -will make you sick. It will. I didn’t want to do this to him at all and that’s because he was always caring and considerate but now, this out of context bull that was RESOLVED and he even signed an agreement saying so- so now ... It’s too much . You have pushed the button enough times now - I will answer. # I will answer and it is not what you are expecting. Know why ? Here is why. I have class unlike anyone who jumped the gun and started firing away at me without a single thought of actually checking into the situation. Think. When have I EVER exhibited behavior that would qualify as shady? When have I ever been impolite or even stupid ? I am a smart, savvy and kind hearted MEGA BABE. Not your average gal. I thought my character would speak louder than this shameful display of disloyalty. Clearly I was wrong. You have been malinformed @thirdstryker1 and I am completely disappointed in your lack of due diligence. I am disgusted by the way house has slung mud at my face and hurtfully wrongfully accuses me of far worse than what is true. I am starting to think that man is worse than unstable. You want the story, I will give you the ugly truth. Stay tuned. I will not be bullied especially against such easy-to-brainwash-groupies of the man I once thought was the most kind hearted human alive. When I am wrong- holy crap am I wrong. I am sad to have to do this. Dang. It. I don’t like it. I need to think for a few hours before I get in too deep. If I share all of the truth, it compromises the roots of the team I loved so dearly. I don’t want to be a team- wrecker. I have to consider this. My values are such that it feels like a dirty way to score a point, if I disclose to the public the problematic sequence of events. When I see the word fraud in the same breath as my NAME... it infuriates me. I have already consulting and am securing legal representation in Palmerston Australia and in my local area. Both parties agree that I have committed no crime and further, the list of crimes in the hate rally against me are adding up quickly, and they both see 3 specific crimes of abuse-shall I Name them? The Palmerston lawyer has followed closely as the events continue to unfold. Palmerston is a city in Australia, FYI. I am suiting up just in case. Looks like I may have a major situation in front of an ACTUAL judge. I Wanted only goodness. I wanted only to correct my mistakes and to work happily helping the world one story at a time and this is so very far from the tracks I wanted to be on. Now hunger is what has brought me to this. Hunger and disgust. Abuse is a habitual and all consuming way for some people. Not me! PS. I built that twitter account, and I am the only one who ever used it as a daily routine. I did keep it at first but then I realized I had built it for you guys and went back and returned the account to Lootz and House with password and with instructions to reset it and I shared with this the instructions on how to delete my abilIty to use the account. I wilingly relinquished what I had kindly made for the team. Once again I showed honor and the guys showed nothing even close to it. Why does the lack of manners still shock me so much? Hijack is such a bogus term for this instance. I did not delete it- nor have I ever said I didn’t do what I said I did in that mortifying screen shot. I don’t Deny that I handled business myself in absence of the boss and in absence of instruction, in absence of a properly functioning e-commerce section, in absence of any team mates who could help me at all, and finally in absence of any contract whatsoever. It’s called freelancing, technically. Every single service that was paid for was provided. I stole nothing from clients, I stole nothing from Core and even though my guilty conscience led me to feel as if I stole from House, it really wasn’t stealing. It wasn’t. I will explain this reasoning after I consult with my helpers to make sure I am not out of bounds by disclosing this stuff in public. Due diligence, is my main reason for pausing and also, my decency. I don’t want to drag anyone in the mud because it hurts. I feel pushed to the edge though. I will shortly decide. I allowed myself to be provoked. I feel my IQ has slipped a few points in the process. ⚓️⚖️

bodyOne bit of evidence would be to look at the blockchain to see which address she sent the funds too. If she sent the funds to an address full of ETH then I might be inclined to believe her that it was just a dumb mistake. Since she said it is a ponzi scheme, there must have been ETH already in that address prior to it being sent, since in ponzi scheme that must pay out to old investors with new investors money.

bodySorry I disagree, we are both looking at the same facts. I say it is fraud, you are saying that it isn't. The evidence that you expect is Lori saying, "I did it, I took the money". Yer, you will never have her admit that. You only get that kind of confession in a court room. That fact is that she actually DOES need to provide evidence. For if she wants me to believe she is innocent, then prove it. It's really simple. This is basic. I looked at the evidence that is available to the public and I said to myself, I think she stole the money. And it is so easy in crypto. Just create a new address and say you feel for a ponzi. Opps! My bad. Funny how she decides the very next day that she will start a new business. It all fits like a glove. But if you believe she is innocent, ok, I respect that. But I think she is a criminal. And if she wishes to change my mind, she can by providing evidence. It's her choice. And that fact that you don't either just tells me you are going on a hunch too. At least I HAVE evidence and you have nothing, unless you show me and I'd be happy to see it.

body> In life there is a truth, all people act on incentives. What is your incentive in protecting her? Mainly in wondering how far and how long you will go in your pursuit of what is ludicrous and clearly not true in order to win a fight that your ex employer has no intention of following through on or of doing any of the things that would keep him out of trouble with his local constabulary and investors. My incentive is not to protect her butt and to protect us, the audience, the people not involved, from being taken for a little narrative ride by someone with a knife to sharpen. I don't like to see the bullies get the upper hand. I don't like to see idiots promoted as quite clever people. I don't like to see people whom I don't know come into an area I do know with people that I do now and start demanding that those folks do what they say and believe only what they say, not the evidence of their lying eyes. And, in less honorable news, every time I give you an opportunity to speak on behalf of CM, you walk deeper into expressing the worst kinds of beliefs and the worst kinds of mindsets for working in business. I couldn't have crafted you to be a more perfect representation of everything not to do when dealing with potential tension between an employer and an ex-employee. You have done everything literally slap ass backwards, and it's very impressive showing. I keep wondering how far you are going to go with that. How many of my questions are you going to sidestep. How many failures to provide actual proof you're going to pass by. How much you are going to push ever more on "I believe" and not a single bit on "I can prove." > Where is YOUR evidence? See, again – this is the funny thing. I don't have to provide you any kind of evidence. I'm not the one making the extraordinary claim. I am the one that you are trying to persuade that your extraordinary claim is true. Which you've done a terrible job of, so far. I hope your job when it came to dealing with media was not writing advertising or trying to hook new clients to buy such. It seems – unsuited to you. You sent me a picture with words which are ostensibly from Lori but aren't a confession of actual mishandling of corporate funds. They could have been anybody's, and on more than one occasion there referred to as "sent to me." Not "sent to the company." Given that Core Media hasn't seen fit to actually define what her role in the US was, nor what her limitations were supposed to be, or the projects that she was supposed to be on, or how her access to their finances was actually supposed to work – all things which would be able to define an actual criminal act – nor has it explained sufficiently why, despite the fact that the directors of the company can be held responsible for mismanagement of assets if they go walking and insufficient amounts were deemed to be done by the directorship, charges are not being brought against this supposed embezzler? You sent me a link to a twitter something that has been since deleted, but it certainly not her account which I linked before you did to her functional and completely open remaining presence on Twitter. If you couldn't be clever enough to follow that link, there's not much I can do about that. You have told me some things, none of which I can actually believe, and you haven't seen fit to support any of those things with facts. Verifiable facts. Last, but certainly not least, as anyone who has studied logic to any level knows, you cannot prove a negative. I cannot prove that Lori didn't embezzle tens of thousands of dollars from Core Media – because I can never prove a negative at all. I think that did not happen leaves no fingerprints, no traces, no paperwork. There is nothing to see. That's why the burden of proof is on the claimant, to prove that what is claimed and its extraordinary nature, reflects accurately what did happen. You won't do that. Maybe you can't do that, maybe you would like to do that, but you won't do that. I'm sorry that you are incapable of understanding the difference between assertion and proof, and have no idea of what verifiability means, and don't understand that when someone is accused of a capital crime, others in their circle may be interested in what reasoning that you are suggesting went into that – and simultaneously, why isn't it being treated as such if such a thing happened? That's all on you to explain. But better than you, Core Media. So far, everything that you've said about how CM does business should throw massive red flags in front of a curious investor. I actually don't care about whether you call me kettle black or refrigerator silver, the problem is you will still look ridiculous making the same old claims, unwilling to express the actual truth, and continuing to drive the reputation of the organization and of the field right through the floor. It is entirely impressive. I hope they're not paying you in any context, because you are doing CM no favors. Core Media needs to provide the evidence that Lori had access to "tens of thousands of dollars" without oversight, they need to explain how it came to be that she could spend those funds without anyone knowing or being involved, that things would go so long as for her to go out of her way to find more clients to try and cover the costs of the ones she had blown off or pre-spent, and why when this is discovered the company can't be bothered to protect itself by actually going to court in pursuit of protection of its investors' money because otherwise the directors could be held directly liable themselves. I have no claims you need to verify. I'm simply pointing out that in the absence of your proof, guilt isn't something that we get to sign up front. It's all "innocent until proven guilty" around here. We find it works better. Or you could keep helping CM look terrible just like the rest of the crypto community. That's also a choice.

bodyI stopped reading that half way through. This is honestly getting ridiculous. Just look at how much time you are spending defending someone who doesn't want to prove her innocence because she is protecting a friend. In life there is a truth, all people act on incentives. What is your incentive in protecting her? "If you intend to persuade, you need to actually make an argument, support it with facts and not supposition, and at least pretend to be media industry professionals. Pretend, even if you can't really manage it." Where is YOUR evidence? All you have written is word salads. I have given you evidence, I sent you a picture with a confession (which I upload since I couldn't send you a slack link), I sent you her twitter link which she has deleted, I have told you Core Media are a profitable organization, I have told you that Lori was highly respected within Core Media, I have told you that in Core Media gave employees a high degree of trust Lori being no different to other employees. Get straight to the point, show me your proof she isn't a criminal because all I have done is given you evidence. All you have done is written word salads. Get to the point and give me evidence. Next post I want to see YOUR evidence. If you don't it's just the pot calling the kettle black.

body> The assertion that there is no proof the money is Core Medias. Well, you just need to think deductively. No. No I really don't. See, you just don't seem to be getting this part. The person making the claim has the _responsibility_ to prove it, or to at least provide supporting verifiable facts which prove their claim. It is not, ever, the responsibility of those who the claimant want to persuade to come up with reasons, suppositions, or wild flights of fantasy to support that claim. Core Media (and it amuses me to no end that every time we mention their name in this thread increases the chances of it being surfaced by Google closer and closer to the top hit for all eternity) and you are making the assertion. You, being an ex-employee, really have no means of proving their contention. Core Media, by dint of being _a media company_ and having put together the original "fraud" post, has every means of proving their contention -- but haven't. To us or the authorities. > Why would she have made such a confession on slack if it wasn't Core Media funds? I'm sure I could _make up_ a reason, as you seem to want me to, but I don't have to. I don't think its a _confession_ at all. Honestly, if you're going to try and use something like that as evidence of wrongdoing, you have to contextualize it. Random thing said on Slack? She could have just have been telling a trusted confident about a particularly boneheaded move she did with her own funds. I don't know and moreover _can't_ know because its just a naked screencap on imgur and not a link to an extended discussion with post and reply. It is entirely absent of anything but the specific text within it, and that says _nothing_ about whose money it was, how much money it was (beyond a mention of 7 ETH, which is currently a lot less than "tens of thousands" and wasn't trading at 10x that at any point). I'll also point out the excerpt doesn't say _where_ on Slack it was posted. Again, naked assertion of where it was. Proof would involve linking to the discussion or at least revealing the whole thread. There'd be no question of where it originated or in what context -- and it might have a hint of being more than assertion. But is that from their _company internal_ Slack stack? Because you're an _ex_-employee, recall. The Imgur image was posted two hours ago. Are you going to contend that Core Media doesn't revoke the access to corporate internal communications for ex-employees? Because that's bad practice on so many business levels it's hard to say where to start. If we're being deductive, we have to deduce _either_ you still have access to internal corporate communications as an ex-employee which is a huge problem for a media company with promotional clients _or_ that you have sat on that bit of screencap for however its been since it was posted without actually providing it to corporate to bolster their argument. It's a good thing I'm not deducing stuff or I'd have to deduce CM is a lousy business that can't protect their assets or you're really weird and stalker-ish. (If its any comfort, my money would be on the first. You're welcome.) > Again, I have already stated, Core Media has a record of making PROFITS, Lori has a record of LOSSES, whether that is of a criminal or stupid nature is undetermined, however, it is my belief she is a criminal. Wouldn't that imply that CM is guilty of being terrible at media business and neither they nor you should be trusted, since by your own assertion both you and the company both trusted and admired her -- and they did so enough to offer her untrammeled access to "tens of thousands of dollars"? Asking for a friend. Interestingly, the more _you_ talk, the worse _they_ look, which is impressive work if you can get it. > That is my personal opinion, and I refuse to protect either criminal or someone that is incompetent, for it is the free markets job to weed out the incompetent actors and let those who are productive continue. You can _believe_ anything you want to, but when you start making assertions of criminal activity such that it can impact their livelihood, you need _proof,_ not assertion and belief. For myself, I don't care what you believe or even what _I_ believe so much as I care _what is true._ Truth leaves footprints and fingerprints. Truth has context. Truth leaves a papertrail. Truth is exactly what you can prove and no more. Truth requires more than simple assertion. _Something_ happened. In no way do I believe that it is what you've described or what Core Media has hinted at because neither provided anything like proof. Lori hasn't really said, either -- but she doesn't *have* to. She's not making an extraordinary contention, you and Core Media are. And the longer you go with just assertions, just accusations, and not even the basic outlines of answering the essentials of what you contend occured, the worse it looks for the basic contention. If you intend to persuade, you need to actually make an argument, support it with facts and not supposition, and at least pretend to be media industry professionals. _Pretend,_ even if you can't really manage it. You want to know what makes fintech and crypto look like a bad ecology? This kind of petty shit. If it's not petty, then the professional actors need to _act_ like it's not petty, which neither you nor Core Media have done. They claim "tens of thousands of dollars" and act like its a couple hundred, you act like it's someone lifting a paperback from a grocery and your belief is way more important than anyone seeing it happen. But I can't really blame you. The whole crypto industry is full of petty bullshit and assertion-over-proof. It's the world of crypto cultists and shed-devs who aren't really worth the shed, wishful thinking and wistful wanting. When someone expects proof of promises, smoke and mirrors get trotted out and when someone holds anyone to their expectations, here come the excuses and evasions. Should I really expect more? Really?

At some level, every business must hold some kind of trust towards their employees, for if there is no trust the division of labor cannot function properly. In fact, every business I have been in gave employees some degree of trust. Whether CM trusted Lori too much is something I believe you are correct in saying. That doesn't let her off the hook though. I believe Lori gained that trust, then she abused it. body> You are forgetting something, I'm not an employee of CM, I'm an EX employee. I'm not forgetting that. I even deliberately pointed it out, in fact. Which would probably concern the investors if an ex-employee had more information on an embezzlement charge than they did. You know, if it was embezzlement. Which is yet to be established, I add. > For if I am to believe that she put money into a ponzi scheme with CM money just based on stupidity, you must think I'm an idiot. At this point, I think there's little doubt of _that,_ but if you reread that messy imgur link you so kindly provided, you'll note that she stated that effectively taking money she had for some kind of contracted effort to try and cover what she'd already spent was "officially a ponzi at this point." That's not admission of being in a Ponzi scheme, that's creative license and parallelism. Maybe reading comprehension is different in other places. I'm starting to wonder. > Under what circumstances would one spend company money without consent to a shifty enterprise without telling management. Well, _first_ you'd have to establish that what was spent was "company money." Again, assertion with facts not in evidence. And _then_ you'd need to provide proof of involvement in a shifty enterprise rather than fiscal mismanagement beyond an off-hand linguistic parallelism. And then I'd have to ask seriously about CM's fiscal mismanagement and what funds were supposedly spent and how they were out of direct corporate control in the first place. Followed by inquiring about why instead of being clear and direct about what they assert was done in the first place, stating times and places, and getting on criminal investigation with relevant authorities over "tens of thousands of dollars" instead of sideswipe smears and implication. You know, as if they were a real company which was out tens of thousands of dollars to embezzlement. > In fact, this evidence is so blatant in my view that I believe you are protecting a criminal. Cool. My first defense case. I'm clearly doing a better job than CM's lawyers, so I have a fine future in international law. > But let's just say Lori is just dumb, you are still defending her. What gives? Surely a man with morals would not stick up for someone that destroyed wealth. What makes you think I'm a _man with morals?_ That's the opposite of everything I represent in life. You're trying to make a moral appeal to me. I do love that so. Like trying to appeal to the better judgement of a grizzly bear. It's adorable. > Even if she had NOT stolen the funds, I absolutely believe it is personally reasonable to alert others of potential threats or stupidity. For if she was to start this business, she would destroy more wealth, and that would be on you for protecting her. Well, here's part of the difference: I've had a conversation with _her._ You, I don't know and don't care about, but you and CM are apparently comfortable wandering through on a public blockchain where everything you write is eternal so long as one server node is running and dropping unsupported, poorly reasoned assertions about someone's asserted criminal activities which, conveniently, won't be prosecuted. And when called on it, you make more unsupported assertions, double down on lying, pretend it went unnoticed, and continue slinging shit. I have to say, it's incredibly entertaining. But let's assume I agree with you. *"Even if she had NOT stolen the funds, I absolutely believe it is personally reasonable to alert others of potential threats or stupidity."* Like Core Media, for giving an international employee access to, supposedly, tens of thousands of dollars alternately in cash or in corporate accounts which could be spent without countersign from another corporate officer and which, by the only evidence _you've_ provided, were paid to her and not to a corporate account? The phrasing is always "to me," not "to the company," after all. I certainly wouldn't _invest_ in Lori's business, despite the fact I like her on a personal level. You'd have to be a raving imbecile to invest in anything having to do with cryptocurrency or fintech at this point, and I'm many things but "raving imbecile" isn't on the list. So whatever other people choose to do, it's definitely _not_ on me. But by your argument, letting Core Media continue to do business would _also_ be on me, given that by their own admission they have terrible business acumen and judgement of people. Further, an investor would have to be a raving imbecile to put money into a company that is self-confessed to losing tens of thousands of dollars from clients and not pursuing it. It's a good thing for them I'm lazy and really don't care that much, eh? Or I might feel compelled to hunt down their investor lists and contact them with an eloquent summary of events with a gentle reminder that CM directors would be liable for losses directly under Australian law. Likewise it's a good thing I don't take your judgement seriously or I might be motivated to do such a thing. Madness. Crazy, even. Don't worry, I enjoy schadenfreude and sadism too much to bother. In a sense, CM was right about one thing. This sort of action makes everyone involved in the shenanigans look bad. Unfortunately for them, they just went out of their way to draw attention to it _and_ made themselves look worse while admitting legal culpability. In an effectively eternal medium that can never be erased. I'm sure your friends who still work there will thank you for that. As for me, if anything, and if I cared, I could rest easy knowing that if anyone ever noticed this thread and likewise cared, they might be spared a poor investment. So despite my best efforts, I might accidently do good. Thanks for that.

"body": "> You are forgetting something, I'm not an employee of CM, I'm an EX employee.\n\nI'm not forgetting that. I even deliberately pointed it out, in fact. Which would probably concern the investors if an ex-employee had more information on an embezzlement charge than they did. You know, if it was embezzlement.\n\nWhich is yet to be established, I add.\n\n> For if I am to believe that she put money into a ponzi scheme with CM money just based on stupidity, you must think I'm an idiot.\n\nAt this point, I think there's little doubt of _that,_ but if you reread that messy imgur link you so kindly provided, you'll note that she stated that effectively taking money she had for some kind of contracted effort to try and cover what she'd already spent was \"officially a ponzi at this point.\" That's not admission of being in a Ponzi scheme, that's creative license and parallelism.\n\nMaybe reading comprehension is different in other places. I'm starting to wonder.\n\n> Under what circumstances would one spend company money without consent to a shifty enterprise without telling management.\n\nWell, _first_ you'd have to establish that what was spent was \"company money.\" Again, assertion with facts not in evidence. And _then_ you'd need to provide proof of involvement in a shifty enterprise rather than fiscal mismanagement beyond an off-hand linguistic parallelism.\n\nAnd then I'd have to ask seriously about CM's fiscal mismanagement and what funds were supposedly spent and how they were out of direct corporate control in the first place. Followed by inquiring about why instead of being clear and direct about what they assert was done in the first place, stating times and places, and getting on criminal investigation with relevant authorities over \"tens of thousands of dollars\" instead of sideswipe smears and implication.\n\nYou know, as if they were a real company which was out tens of thousands of dollars to embezzlement.\n\n> In fact, this evidence is so blatant in my view that I believe you are protecting a criminal. \n\nCool. My first defense case. I'm clearly doing a better job than CM's lawyers, so I have a fine future in international law.\n\n> But let's just say Lori is just dumb, you are still defending her. What gives? Surely a man with morals would not stick up for someone that destroyed wealth.\n\nWhat makes you think I'm a _man with morals?_ That's the opposite of everything I represent in life. You're trying to make a moral appeal to me. I do love that so. Like trying to appeal to the better judgement of a grizzly bear.\n\nIt's adorable.\n\n> Even if she had NOT stolen the funds, I absolutely believe it is personally reasonable to alert others of potential threats or stupidity. For if she was to start this business, she would destroy more wealth, and that would be on you for protecting her.\n\nWell, here's part of the difference: I've had a conversation with _her._ You, I don't know and don't care about, but you and CM are apparently comfortable wandering through on a public blockchain where everything you write is eternal so long as one server node is running and dropping unsupported, poorly reasoned assertions about someone's asserted criminal activities which, conveniently, won't be prosecuted. And when called on it, you make more unsupported assertions, double down on lying, pretend it went unnoticed, and continue slinging shit.\n\nI have to say, it's incredibly entertaining.\n\nBut let's assume I agree with you. *\"Even if she had NOT stolen the funds, I absolutely believe it is personally reasonable to alert others of potential threats or stupidity.\"* Like Core Media, for giving an international employee access to, supposedly, tens of thousands of dollars alternately in cash or in corporate accounts which could be spent without countersign from another corporate officer and which, by the only evidence _you've_ provided, were paid to her and not to a corporate account? The phrasing is always \"to me,\" not \"to the company,\" after all.\n\nI certainly wouldn't _invest_ in Lori's business, despite the fact I like her on a personal level. You'd have to be a raving imbecile to invest in anything having to do with cryptocurrency or fintech at this point, and I'm many things but \"raving imbecile\" isn't on the list. So whatever other people choose to do, it's definitely _not_ on me.\n\nBut by your argument, letting Core Media continue to do business would _also_ be on me, given that by their own admission they have terrible business acumen and judgement of people. Further, an investor would have to be a raving imbecile to put money into a company that is self-confessed to losing tens of thousands of dollars from clients and not pursuing it.\n\nIt's a good thing for them I'm lazy and really don't care that much, eh? Or I might feel compelled to hunt down their investor lists and contact them with an eloquent summary of events with a gentle reminder that CM directors would be liable for losses directly under Australian law.\n\nLikewise it's a good thing I don't take your judgement seriously or I might be motivated to do such a thing. Madness. Crazy, even.\n\nDon't worry, I enjoy schadenfreude and sadism too much to bother.\n\nIn a sense, CM was right about one thing. This sort of action makes everyone involved in the shenanigans look bad. Unfortunately for them, they just went out of their way to draw attention to it _and_ made themselves look worse while admitting legal culpability. In an effectively eternal medium that can never be erased.\n\nI'm sure your friends who still work there will thank you for that.\n\nAs for me, if anything, and if I cared, I could rest easy knowing that if anyone ever noticed this thread and likewise cared, they might be spared a poor investment. body> Before I go on, have you seen this? > > https://imgur.com/a/UcfGf Nope. Hadn't seen that. And I won't even bother to question authenticity because no one would bother replicating the effect of a shitty screen capture. Not fully an admission of criminal activity, but an admission of monumental dumb. And no kind of proof that the funds in question belonged to Core Media in any way. "Wanted to hire me" suggests rather the opposite, unless CM is making the claim that _any and all_ activity she did was supposed to be owned by them, which is as egregious a claim as anything else I've seen floated around here. Is that the assertion you want to stand behind? (We'll leave aside the issue of citing a screen capture cropped on Imgur as your source. Which the company in question _didn't_ cite and which characterizes things entirely differently. The level of bullshit has not subsided, it just drifts differently.) > Furthermore, she hijacked the Core Media twitter after the event. We'll do this again: Assertion. Facts not in evidence. You want to claim it? Prove it. Otherwise you're just spewing smoke and a vague feces odour. > I just tried to view her twitter and now she has deleted it. An admission of guilt perhaps? [And that would just be inaccurate and untrue.](https://twitter.com/THELoriBrown) Which five minutes of basic Google would reveal. Did you think _I_ wouldn't drop the five minutes it takes into checking basic asserted facts? You don't know me. You _might_ could make the claim that she blocked you on Twitter, but that she deleted her account? No. Not even vaguely _like_ true. Your aspersions are bad and you should feel bad. > I'm also very suspicious of you. Why do you care so much? Why are you writing essays defending her without her giving a shed of proof? The more you write the more passionate you get to defend her. Why? Were you in on it? [drily] That's right, you've got me. I absolutely absconded with the money with my secret mistress and now, rather than simply keeping my mouth shut and masturbating with my ill-gotten gains I'm here challenging _you_ to present proof and support of extraordinary claims of my own criminal acts. You cannot really be that stupid. Seriously. Tell me that's not possible. Maybe my expectation of humanity is too high in general and for you specifically, but I expected better than _that._ Here's the thing: You have absolutely no reason to trust me. I demand no trust. I make no claims. I am the fly on the wall with multitudinous eye-facets. The gadfly. The pernicious thorn in the side of the ignorant. I don't casually stand by and let people say stupid things in public without taking the opportunity to wave my arms, shout loudly, "Hey, everybody, look; an idiot!" And then beam proudly. And if you think _these_ little responses are essays, you've never read my _essays._ They might exceed your attention span, so I don't recommend it. The more I write, the more I see there's a lot of stupid to go around here, and I take it mildly personally from people who are ostensibly in the media business. Call it professional pride or the defense of cogent argument. You can call it whatever you like. If I were in on it, though, I have bad news for you: *It'd have been done better.* Whatever "it" is, which still has not been accurately or adequately defined. I expect better of people and you, for whatever reason, are consistently delivering worse. So here's the deal. If CM and you want to assert that Lori has committed a criminal act, you need to define what it is and how it was performed and come up with a _good_ reason that CM hasn't pursued criminal prosecution for what is grand larceny and embezzlement even in Commonwealth countries, risking prosecution from their own investors. Without that, there's absolutely no reason to believe any of the characterization being put forward, other than Lori might be financially dumb . It's their reputation and yours which are on the block. I'm not making assertions of criminal activity. I'm just demanding answers if you're going to.

And I won't even bother to question authenticity because no one would bother replicating the effect of a shitty screen capture.\n\nNot fully an admission of criminal activity, but an admission of monumental dumb. And no kind of proof that the funds in question belonged to Core Media in any way. \"Wanted to hire me\" suggests rather the opposite, unless CM is making the claim that _any and all_ activity she did was supposed to be owned by them, which is as egregious a claim as anything else I've seen floated around here.\n\nIs that the assertion you want to stand behind?\n\n(We'll leave aside the issue of citing a screen capture cropped on Imgur as your source. Which the company in question _didn't_ cite and which characterizes things entirely differently. The level of bullshit has not subsided, it just drifts differently.)\n\n> Furthermore, she hijacked the Core Media twitter after the event. \n\nWe'll do this again: Assertion. Facts not in evidence. You want to claim it? Prove it. Otherwise you're just spewing smoke and a vague feces odour.\n\n> I just tried to view her twitter and now she has deleted it. An admission of guilt perhaps?\n\n[And that would just be inaccurate and untrue.](https://twitter.com/THELoriBrown) Which five minutes of basic Google would reveal. Did you think _I_ wouldn't drop the five minutes it takes into checking basic asserted facts? You don't know me.\n\nYou _might_ could make the claim that she blocked you on Twitter, but that she deleted her account? No. Not even vaguely _like_ true.\n\nYour aspersions are bad and you should feel bad.\n\n> I'm also very suspicious of you. Why do you care so much? Why are you writing essays defending her without her giving a shed of proof? The more you write the more passionate you get to defend her. Why? Were you in on it?\n\n[drily] That's right, you've got me. I absolutely absconded with the money with my secret mistress and now, rather than simply keeping my mouth shut and masturbating with my ill-gotten gains I'm here challenging _you_ to present proof and support of extraordinary claims of my own criminal acts.\n\nYou cannot really be that stupid. Seriously. Tell me that's not possible. Maybe my expectation of humanity is too high in general and for you specifically, but I expected better than _that._\n\nHere's the thing: You have absolutely no reason to trust me. I demand no trust. I make no claims. I am the fly on the wall with multitudinous eye-facets. The gadfly. The pernicious thorn in the side of the ignorant. I don't casually stand by and let people say stupid things in public without taking the opportunity to wave my arms, shout loudly, \"Hey, everybody, look; an idiot!\" And then beam proudly.\n\nAnd if you think _these_ little responses are essays, you've never read my _essays._ They might exceed your attention span, so I don't recommend it.\n\nThe more I write, the more I see there's a lot of stupid to go around here, and I take it mildly personally from people who are ostensibly in the media business. Call it professional pride or the defense of cogent argument. You can call it whatever you like. \n\nIf I were in on it, though, I have bad news for you: *It'd have been done better.*\n\nWhatever \"it\" is, which still has not been accurately or adequately defined.\n\nI expect better of people and you, for whatever reason, are consistently delivering worse. Without that, there's absolutely no reason to believe any of the characterization being put forward, other than Lori might be financially dumb .\n\nIt's their reputation and yours which are on the block. I'm not making assertions of criminal activity. I'm just demanding answers if you're going to.",

body> My time at Core Media they were turning a nice profit. You know what I miss? The days when people who worked in media knew the difference between assertion and proof. It wasn't that long ago, as the crow flies. Once upon a time journalists and people associated with media organizations recognized that simply saying a thing didn't make it true. That a certain healthy level of skepticism made for a better understanding of the world. That if they wanted to make an extraordinary claim, they needed to back it up with independently verifiable facts and if they didn't -- well, they should expect not only other journalists but the general public to call them out on their laziness or their disingenuity. Core Media has made a claim. They have made a naked assertion, and they've done so in a way that was half-assed if we even take the most charitable interpretation. Their documentation of a quite severe and significant accusation is non-extant and they don't seem to have either the talent nor ability to do better. Now comes you, who likewise has made assertions but which carry no actual substance or independent verifiability. You don't even make the scantest attempt to, which is kind of sad given that you could have easily linked to some sort of business documentation provided on an Australian public server to support your contention. I have no way to independently verify anything you say, and my direct, observational experience of something I directly and sensibly referenced provided by _them_ and which anyone can go look at was not meaningfully rebutted. You might begin to sense that I sniff a great air of bullshit emanating from your general direction. I have no reason not to say so directly because I'm _pretty_ sure no cryptocurrency publication of any repute would be able to afford my services anyway, so I lose nothing by calling it out. > You may say that the was a bad entrepreneurial error for an internet company, however during my time at Core Media even I had great admiration for Lori and I would have done the same. No, any sensible person would look at what is suggested to have happened and _know_ that what we're talking about is not "entrepreneurial error," but radical business idiocy, and that's _if_ we take them and you entirely at your word. You mean to tell me that a small company of some knowledge allowed an international employee with no defined or stated position be in possession of, and I quote, "a lot of cash" as you put it and ["tens of thousands of dollars from our company accounts"](https://cryptocoremedia.com/betrayal-of-trust/) if we quote directly from their account (which are pointedly not the same things at all), and -- further quoting -- *"we have decided not to enforce legal action as this would shine yet another ‘bad light’ on the ecology"?* I disbelieve. Oh, look, a natural 20. That's inherently unbelievable, and frankly I don't believe *either* of these statements. No company of reasonable business people would put themselves in that situation and if by some confluence of idiocies they did, they'd be far more interested in pursuing a legal case for that kind of significant money in order to _protect_ their reputation as fair dealers and solid business-folk than the abstract "ecology." They would, if nothing else, be deeply beholden to their investors to cover their own asses as directors. [Even in a place as behind-the-times as Australia, directors of a company have a legal responsibility to protect the investors' interests. *The Corporations Act of 2001* is a cruel mistress.](http://asic.gov.au/for-business/your-business/tools-and-resources-for-business-names-and-companies/asic-guide-for-small-business-directors/directors-liabilities-when-things-go-wrong/) Is it cash or was it access to accounts? Was it a big deal, or something Core Media investors are going to be expected to eat without recompense? Was it illegal or just made up? Why is an _ex_-employee of the company carrying water for them when they should be at least responsible for being forthright with the public and investors? But here's the capper. Here's the one thing anyone running flack for a company making a grand larceny threat against someone should never say: > Now it is up to her to prove she didn't steal the funds. No. Not even in the retrogressive wilds of Australia, the far north reaches the Canada, nor the darkest bar in Glascow is Commonwealth law so blinkered or so stupid. You do not get to make the accusation that someone has engaged in active, significant, larcenous criminal behavior with no proof and no decent argument, and then say "it's on them to prove they didn't do it." That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works. And it is by dropping to that level of statement that you seriously repudiate any seriousness that someone with an actual interest in this affair might grant you. You and Core Media are the ones who are making an extraordinary claim. You are making an extraordinary international criminal claim. Neither you nor CM are behaving in a way which leads me to believe that you're telling the truth. CM in particular is behaving in a way which actively causes me to doubt their claim. If this was being done by an organization in the US, there would be significant grounds for the investors of CM to sue for criminal mismanagement and liability, and Lori to bring suit for defamation. Personally, I don't think it would be worth the effort, but it would certainly be possible. It still may. If there was any real concern about "shining another bad light on the ecology," CM would be far more circumspect about making such claims and would advise anyone who wanted to support them in such matters to be equally as circumspect. They are perfectly comfortable depicting themselves as incompetent judges of character and sporting a market inability to hold onto their investors' money, but Hades forfend that they actually pursue criminal charges against what we are told is tens of thousands of dollars of embezzlement by an employee for fear of looking bad. Nothing about this claim makes sense or stands up. If anyone takes it seriously, that's a reflection of their own gullibility more than anything else. You are definitely doing no service.

bodyI was in Core Media and stepped aside because I'm having a kid. My time at Core Media they were turning a nice profit. Core Media have many arms including trading, media, media services. The trading aspect was stopped prior to regulations. Now Core Media focus on media and media services. Core Media is a registered company in Australia and employs approx around 8-10+ people currently. Core Media isn't a company based in a garage, it's a real company that provide real services and turns a real profit. The people running Core Media I have the upmost respect for because they put so much trust in their employees. This is a rare characteristic in business. You may say that the was a bad entrepreneurial error for an internet company, however during my time at Core Media even I had great admiration for Lori and I would have done the same. Nevertheless, Lori was holding a lot of cash and it was her job to hand over the money as an employee of Core Media. She didn't do that. Now it is up to her to prove she didn't steal the funds.

bodyIf you're referring to the article which they finally have readable on the site – there's no proof. In fact, a canny, thoughtful reader will come away from that feeling as though they have been misled. Oh, sure, they make the assertion that Lori stole tens of thousands of dollars from them. They assert that quite aggressively. They don't actually talk about and what position she must've been to have access to that kind of funds, nor do they actually say that they are going to pursue criminal charges against her – as someone would who had tens of thousands of dollars which, theoretically, would impact day-to-day operations for a media operation would do. All they do is assert that this bad thing happened, that she did it, that they're not going to tell us what happened, nor are they going to actually use the criminal justice system as it's designed in order to pursue what is not a small amount of money, but instead are just going to mildly smear her reputation. Does that really, truly, come across to you as a company from which tens of thousands of dollars in operating funds have been embezzled? Seriously, this is a real question. If you come to this sort of announcement and have to judge the truth of it, absent any actual proof in the document itself, absent any engagement with the legal system absent any sort of supporting evidence, do you really come away with belief in complete truth of the accusation? Because if so, you are probably going to have a very bad time pretty much anywhere. If that is the level of accusation and the support thereof that it requires to convince you of a capital crime, then I have this bridge in San Francisco that I can let you have cheap. While I'm at it, I'll sell you chunks of concrete which I guarantee came from the dynamited alien landing platform at Area 51. I'm saying you'd be gullible, is what I'm saying. I'm saying your judgment would be more than questionable. No one has to convince you that they are innocent in the mere presence of accusation. Accusations are cheap and easy. They typically cost the accuser nothing; there is almost no risk for making an accusation. If you are going to put the burden of proof, all proof, on the accused, you have made a decision which is going to end poorly for you in your life going forward. And that's sad. I am always willing to look at proof. I love proof. I'm willing to believe proof. I'm also willing to believe that people lie; all people lie. Accusers lie. An extraordinary claim requires extraordinary evidence. We have the claim – but we have no evidence. Get back to me when that happens and maybe we'll have something to talk about.

bodyA lot of companies manage to continue operation without actually being profitable. A lot of companies manage to continue operation without being profitable while a number of freelancers and even very core employees know nothing about it. But very few companies deliberately choose to set as their public face in part of the numinous field in which they operate a substandard form of presentation. They most certainly don't make that the locus of informing other people in whatever community about someone they think is a bad actor. And on top of that, they most certainly don't make the ostensible information about someone they think is a bad actor not actually present on the site after they specifically linked to it. So, you'll forgive me, if I don't come along on your unsupported fantasy about whether they are profitable or not. I am way too familiar with how borderline companies can present themselves both internally and externally as profit-centers without being anywhere near that. The marketplace is comprised of millions of people who have subjective values – most of whom have no experience in any field that you would care to name. Their subjective values are shaped by what they can perceive, and while it would be a fools errand to try and speak for all of them, it's certainly possible to speak for an educated portion of the market space. So when I say something looks particularly bad, that means that it looks particularly bad to a skilled and experienced part of the market. If that is strangely threatening to you, if that makes you uncomfortable – then good. There's potential for you to become part of that skilled and experienced part of the market. The presence that Core Media has as part of this particular public showing doesn't create a feeling of a company which is doing well. It reads a lot like misplaced ego. The corporate presence reads like a shack shop that thinks it's uptown. These are not good traits. If you have a problem with that, perhaps you should take it up with them.

bodyI am saddened to see that you joined the ranks of the anti Lori campaign, @Thirdstryker1. I always have known you as a reasonable, fair person. I am surprised that you would assume you have the whole truth. You clearly do not, but I am not inclined to badmouth people, especially this way. No matter what has happened, every last one of you should have had the decency and the common sense to consider that maybe reality as you have been shown is skewed. Perhaps I am not “a bad actor”. I have nothing of secret in my world- and you guys really showed NO basic due diligence before loudly bashing your bewildered, former ally. Throwing criminal accusations around as if they are simple insults seems sloppy and cruel. Never has my heart been so genuinely immersed in something I loved doing - only to become the cast away from the few people who I considered friends. It’s this bandwagon behavior that we are supposed to be against.🐑🐏🐑🐏🐑🐏🐑 Do you guys mind behaving in a civilized way? What’s up with the the angry mob coming at all angles? 🐑🐏🐑🐏🐑🐏🐑🐑🐏🐑🐏🐑🐏🐑 Don’t be sheeple. Think for yourself. Ask questions before ruining someone next time. I am a distant person for you guys but from here, I am a mom, engaged to be married next year after loss you wouldn’t believe, and I have seen enough tragic shit in the last few years to fill a book. Still, nothing has been quiet as devastating as you all turning on me. Especially my mentor, the leader, the boss. Painful. 🥀 Be better than typical. I am no monster. 😭

bodyThat would, even more so, put Core Media on the spot in making an extraordinary claim. Which this is. Extraordinary proof is required, and not something that looks like a knocked together late 90s website. Especially if "media services" is supposed to be your go to business. If you drop a link which is supposed to be that extraordinary proof, everything about that proof has to be credible. You get hit twice on this. Firstly, you make an unsupported claim which looks very bad – in both uses of the word. Secondly, the fridge logic kicks in, and someone will wonder how in the world 30,000 whatevers (which still remain undefined) walked out the door with anyone, which hits your credibility on whether you can be trusted with other decisions if what you said is, in fact, true. I know this corporate PR thing is a lot harder than it looks for people who can't be bothered to understand how it works, but them's the breaks. I was going to assume that you were going to tell me that a lot of revenue is actually channeled through that silly magazine of yours (really, a *magazine* in this day and age), because at least the layout and photography seems to have some pretty high production value going behind it – but even that seemed incredibly silly, given the scale of the claim that you're making. Ultimately, this comes across from the side that is supposed to be professional more like a bad case of vaguebooking, and I think we all get plenty of that elsewhere. You either need to make your case where you assert it, do it well, and don't be twats about it, or decline to make the accusation at all. Frankly, I think the assumption in most of the world is that pretty much anyone involved in cryptocurrency's a scammer until convinced otherwise, and I'm not entirely unsure that more than 60% of the people involved in cryptocurrency don't think exactly the same thing. But the one thing we can all agree on is that you can't just step up and smear someone without actually dropping some facts and proof by sheer naked assertion while simultaneously saying things which don't accord with anything like reality when it comes to credibility.

bodyMost of Core Media's revenue is behind the website, doing media services. The website is only one aspect. We all put a lot of trust in Lori, but when everything is online sometimes you never know 100% if someone is legit or a scammer. I think Lori saw the writing on the wall and took advantage of it.

bodyBitcoin will always be around as it was the first kid on the block and the massive amount of infrastructure around it. I agree, Bitcoin will loose top spot but it will continue to go up like the rest.

bodyI have the feeling that Bitcoin will soon give up it's place. First to etherium and then to other new coins. This change is maybe happening at the moment, but I think it is long overdue. And for doomsday Bitcoin is the exact opposite of gold. I mean, one other coin supercedes it and all value is lost almost instantly.
