These hashes are what a coin’s Algorithm is composed of. \n\nGPU Clustering For Mining Alt-Coins\n\nGPU Clustering refers to using (Graphic Processing Units) Which allow a great amount of parallel processes to take place due to the amount of Cores there are on the card along with the VRAM ( Video Random Access Memory) Which allows for a much faster hash rate than the traditional CPU mining (Central Processing Unit) \nNow, for the big question.. \"How do i begin to build an affordable but profitable GPU mining rig, Wolf?”\nThis question, is one I see a lot all over the place! So, I will be building a mining rig with you guys right here! Lets get started!\n\nSetting Up The Mining Rig\n\nNow, what the most important part about this rig is going to be, is the GPUs i referred to back in the last section, without these you are pretty much left with onboard video\nAKA a Potato. We need a very fast GPU to start this build, and we will need a few of them. Now when choosing a GPU, AMD Video Cards (another name for GPU ) is the best way to go.\nThe card used the most back in the day and still to this day is the AMD R9 280X. The reason this card is one of the best cards for mining is because it has a rock solid hashrate for any Algorithm and its power draw is low. Power draw is key!\nThe card we will use for this build will be the AMD series because of its faster core speeds and also the opensource sdk makes the card perform a lot faster than the normal Nvidia GPU. The best place to pick up a used R9  280X is ebay, this way we can get the best hashrate for the lowest cost. \n\nR9 280X - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Msi-R9-280x-Twin-Frozr-3GB-/331899496499?hash=item4d46c06833:g:ci0AAOSwuzRXeVHR\n\nThe reason this card is good is because of the price, $160 for 21MH/s is an amazing deal, try to find similar ones like this, but do not pay more than $190 for any 280x.\n\nNow the next part, once you have 6 GPUs you need a Motherboard that will handle it, this is where the build is fun and Amazon can do the work for us!\n\nWe are going with the Asrock H97 ANNIVERSARY - https://www.amazon.com/ASRock-DDR3-Motherboard-H97-ANNIVERSARY/dp/B00N9399TS/ref=pd_sim_147_24?ie=UTF8&dpID=51wkRkot9iL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&psc=1&refRID=RDRFQ5M6WEJCEXFWHJSD\n\nIf you can, try to find an Asrock H81 Pro BTC, Amazon usually has them and it is where i got mine, however there were none at the time of making this guide. \n\nNow we need a CPU, we will go with a Intel Pentium Processor G3240 -https://www.amazon.com/Intel-Pentium-Processor-G3240-BX80646G3240/dp/B00J2LIECO/ref=pd_sim_147_32?ie=UTF8&dpID=51dLqAHyk2L&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR127%2C160_&psc=1&refRID=D6556APYGZG2WHDW6CVH\n\nNext up we need the RAM for the board!       "body": "This past July, Zcash developer Sean Bowe explained via the team’s blog that a group of programmers met at Cornell University to implement zk-SNARKs to the Ethereum protocol.\n\nDuring the Ethereum/IC3 Bootcamp at Cornell, developers Vitalik Buterin, Sean Bowe, Eran Tromer, and Andrew Miller convened to develop anonymous transactions on top of the Ethereum blockchain. Zk-SNARKs is the cryptographic framework beneath the Zcash protocol.\n\nThe demonstration of using a zkSNARK verifier within Ethereum has been dubbed “baby ZoE” for Zerocash over Ethereum. It uses a primitive coin mixing contract using the Zerocash academic protocol. The demonstration contract allowed developers the ability to deposit and withdraw discrete amounts of Ether. The meetup at Cornell seems to have been a successful mission for the group of programmers, and the code that was worked on can be viewed here.\n\nzcashEssentially the technology is proofs that perform computational transactions without revealing all of the inputs broadcasted with the transaction. This will provide greater privacy to individuals and groups using this protocol the developers explain and can also reduce the “verification cost of complicated smart contracts.”\n\nSean Bowe explains what the programmers worked on during the boot camp event at Cornell:\n\n        In our work this week, we extended the Ethereum contract language to efficiently support verification of zkSNARK proofs. Specifically, we added a snarkverify precompile (like an opcode) to a fork of Parity which uses libsnark to verify generic proofs.—The idea of integrating Zerocash into a currency using a SNARK verification opcode goes back to the original Zerocash paper (Section 6.3 in Zerocash extended version). Following this prescription, it is possible to extend the ZoE contract to work with the complete Zerocash protocol.\n\n‘All Coins Are Created Equal’\n\nAs well as Ethereum’s blockchain, Zcash implementation will also be able to work with other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin. The team’s motto explains that with Zcash “all coins are created equal.”\n\nSnowden Zcash“The ethos of Zcash is to be very inclusive and welcoming,” Bowe explains in his blog. “What we care about is building privacy-enhancing technology, full stop. Whether that’s done through a sidechain, through an altcoin, whatever.”\n\nThe Bitcoin community has also been anticipating the full launch of this project as it has been in stealth mode for a couple of years now. The protocol, which deploys a  “zero-knowledge proof” alternative uses its own  blockchain instead of being tethered directly to Ethereum, and Bitcoin’s public ledgers.\n\nWhat’s more is that the project was recently given props by the infamous whistleblower Edward Snowden via Twitter. Additionally, the platform has a slew of investors including Pantera Capital’s Dan Morehead and Digital Currency Group’s Barry Silbert, among others.\n\nMorehead is excited to see the opportunities this application brings to the world stating:\n\n        Technically, it’s a challenge to have fungibility in a shared blockchain, yet money requires fungibility. It’s exciting to see the Zcash team working toward adding real fungibility to blockchains and with the strength and talent of this team, this is only the tip of the iceberg.\n\n \n‘Bitcoin is HTTP for Money; Zcash is HTTPS’\n\nSean Bowe says the team enjoys working with a variety of blockchains and different code.
