RIP irony.\n\nNot today, though.\n\nWhen asked if it had a response to Trump’s accusation of bias a Facebook spokesperson told us: “We don’t have anything to add here.”\n\nThe brevity and alacrity of the response suggested the spokesperson had a really cheerful expression on their face when they typed it.\n\nThe relief of Facebook not having to give a shit this time was kinda palpable, even in pixel form.\n\nIt was also a far cry from the screeds the company routinely dispenses these days to try to muffle journalistic — and indeed political — enquiry.\n\nTrump evidently doesn’t factor ‘bigly’ on Facebook’s oversubscribed risk-list.\n\nEven though Facebook was the first name on the president’s (non-alphabetical) tech giant hit-list.\n\nStill, Twitter appeared to have irked Trump more, as his tweet singled out the short-form platform — with an accusation that Twitter has made it “much more difficult for people to join [sic] @realDonaldTrump”. (We think by “join” he means follow. But we’re speculating wildly.)\n\nThis is perhaps why Twitter felt moved to provide a response to the claim of bias, albeit also without wasting a lot of words.\n\nHere’s its statement:\n\n    Our focus is on the health of the service, and that includes work to remove fake accounts to prevent malicious behavior. Many prominent accounts have seen follower counts drop, but the result is higher confidence that the followers they have are real, engaged people.\n\nPresumably the president failed to read our report, from July, when we trailed Twitter’s forthcoming spam purge, warning it would result in users with lots of followers taking a noticeable hit in the coming days. In a word: Sad.\n\nOf course we also asked Google for a response to Trump’s bias claim. But just got radio silence.\n\nIn similar “bias” tweets from August the company got a bigger Trump-lashing. And in a response statement then it told us: “We never rank search results to manipulate political sentiment.”\n\nGoogle CEO Sundar Pichai has also just had to sit through some three hours of questions from Republicans in Congress on this very theme.\n\nSo the company probably feels it’s exhausted the political bias canard.\n\nEven while, as the claims drone on and on, it might truly come to understand what it feels like to be stuck inside a filter bubble.\n\nIn any case there are far more pressing things to accuse Google’s algorithms of than being ‘anti-Trump’.\n\nSo it’s just as well it didn’t waste time on another presidential sideshow intended to distract from problems of Trump’s own making.",

And New Testament recorded the fulfillment and the essence of that.\n\nYet Prophet Muhammad says all these 40 people didn't see well, only he saw well even though he wasn't there. To him, even those outside the Bible who wrote about Jesus lied, he is the one telling the truth.\n\nHim: silent.\n\nMe: bro, I will not condemn Islam, I won't say Muhammad is false, I won't say you are lost so come and follow me.       "body": "![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmUHeJfMqRNMTGQhuDMBfnKNRkryyE7TjZrYfQvLqDgVWY/image.png)\n\nPrime Minister Theresa May on Wednesday survived a bid by her own MPs to unseat her, securing the support of 200 Conservative colleagues while 117 voted against her.\n\nThe British leader overcame the party no-confidence vote after it was triggered by hardline Brexit supporters who despise the deal she struck with the EU last month.\n\nIt leaves May weakened but immune from a further internal challenge for a year.\n\nMay had responded to the no-confidence vote with a passion she reserves for when her back is against the wall, defending her Brexit deal and warning that ousting her could derail the whole process.\n\nShe said she had devoted herself “unsparingly” to delivering the 2016 vote to leave the European Union and was “ready to finish the job”.\n\nBut addressing colleagues ahead of the vote, she also acknowledged the weakness of her position, by telling them she would not fight the next scheduled election in 2022.\n\nIt was a rare chink in the armour of a prime minister praised by her supporters as resilient but accused by her critics of ploughing on oblivious to the changing circumstances around her.\n\nAnd while she won the vote, the numbers against her — 117 out of a total of 317 MPs — will be deeply uncomfortable.\n\nMeanwhile the biggest test awaits. She delayed a House of Commons vote on her Brexit deal this week after finally acknowledging the depth of the opposition against it.\n\nShe has promised to secure assurances from EU leaders and return it to MPs by January 21 — but those leaders have repeatedly said they have little more to offer.\n‘Difficult woman’\n\nMay took over after her predecessor David Cameron quit following the shock vote for Brexit in June 2016, winning by default after her rivals fought among themselves or withdrew.\n\nShe had campaigned to stay in the EU, but has repeatedly stressed the importance of implementing the verdict, rejecting calls for a rethink by those who believe it was a terrible mistake.\n\nYet her moves to minimise the economic damage of the break sparked anger among hardline Brexit supporters, who accuse her of undermining the whole project.\n\nDespite the near constant criticism, including from inside her own government, May has kept at it and compares herself to her cricketing hero Geoffrey Boycott, who was a byword for doggedness as a batsman.\n\nThe vicar’s daughter has also gleefully seized on a putdown by a party elder that she was a “bloody difficult woman”.\n\nMay eschews gossip and networking, proving herself through hard work, spending six years in the tough job of interior minister before entering Downing Street.\n\nBut her reserved nature often makes for stilted relations with world leaders and voters, while her style of repeating phrases and avoiding direct questions earned her the media nickname “Maybot”.\n\nResponding to Wednesday’s vote, May once again fell back on trusted phrases, saying she was determined to “get on with the job”.\n‘Goody two shoes’\n\nMay, 62, described herself in a 2012 interview as a “goody two shoes” whose Protestant faith defined her upbringing.\n\nShe knew she wanted to become a politician when she was just 12, and once said the naughtiest thing she had done was running through a field of wheat.\n\nMay studied geography at the University of Oxford, where she met her husband Philip, a banker, after reportedly being introduced by future Pakistan premier Benazir Bhutto.\n\nThe couple never had children and May devoted herself to a life of public service that saw her become Conservative Party chairwoman in 2002.\n\nShe made her first splash by telling Tories at an annual conference to stop being “the nasty party” if they wanted to win.\n\nBut as interior minister she drew criticism over a clampdown on illegal migration, which caused a major scandal this year over the attempted deportation of Britons from the Caribbean.\n\nThe apparent ease with which May positioned herself to become prime minister after the referendum drew praise for her political skills — but this evaporated the following year.\n\nFaced with an apparently unassailable poll lead, she called a snap election in June 2017 to bolster her position and Brexit plan — only to lose the Conservatives’ majority in the Commons.\n\nSince then, May has struggled to contain the various factions of her party, and her Northern Irish allies, the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP), on who she relies to govern.\n\nThe DUP, like the Brexit hardliners, strongly oppose her deal, meaning that any respite afforded by Wednesday’s vote will only be temporary.\n\nAFP",
