| title | Lessons of 2017? |
| body | If you've been in crypto long enough you'll remember the great crash of 2017 (well 2018 really). Cryptocurrencies had been going stratospheric, making money was 'shooting fish in a barrel' - buy any coin and watch it go up. It all seemed too easy, and it was. The euphoria didn't last and a long cold winter followed for crypto. Really, the market only got going again in the back half of 2020, a good 24 months of consolidation at lower prices. Those who held all they had (hodl) did indeed come out the otherside better than before. But how many would have stuck to their guns over this period? I know my resolve was tested, and while I didn't liquidate the majority of my BTC, I did a significant stake (20/20 hindsight). That begs the question where are we now? We've had some crazy gains in the last 12 months, are we seeing another major pullback which will take years to recover or shooting for ATH again soon? Are you buying the dip, or waiting if it turns out to be another 50% lower? Share your thoughts. |

| body | You must not know very much about masonry to equate paddock's mass shooting with them. Most masons are right-wing conservatives working in law enforcement, government, corrections, the military. Most of them voted for Trump and are for guns. It is rare to find radical leftists who are opposed to gun ownership, as your article suggests. Besides, numerology is superstitious pseudoscience. You can draw correlations between the name brand of Paddock's underwear or the number of dumps he took with masonic degrees if you want, and it would make sense. Besides, mass shootings don't persuade people against gun ownership. It also promotes gun ownership. The fact is, Paddock was a very private person, so we don't really know his real motivations. Infamy perhaps? Mental illness? Maybe he just hated country music, right? Who knows? Not knowing something is NOT an excuse to invent whatever motivation we want simply because we can't prove it true or not. That is called 'an appeal to ignorance'. It is the argument that because we don't know Paddock's motivations it proves a coverup, and also strange assertions which anyone can make up and say you can't prove its false, so it must be true. Look, there is no limit to how many guns a person who passes background checks can get in American. He went to several stores, amassing his collection. These stores aren't talking with one another about people buying guns at other stores. There's no law against buying guns at different locations. It doesn't throw up red flags to the cops when a person who passes the background check goes to various private businesses to pick up weapons. Nevada has very lax gun control laws. He just carried it all in over several days in his luggage. There are no metal detectors at the entrance of most vegas hotels. I can tell housekeeping to stay out of my room for days if I want. I could hide it all in a shitload of luggge too, and housekeeping is supposed to get suspicious at a bunch of luggage in a hotel room? He moved the weapons into his room over a period of days. On top of this, this shooting is viewed like mental illness, not a problem with guns. It hasn't really led to much of a change in gun laws, even with all those occult masons in high places pulling the strings. Surprise. Surprise. |

| title | Dark times for liberty |
| body | As many of you know, these are some dark times for liberty and freedom of speech. Conservatives and truthers are being persecuted viciously around the West for 'hate speech' (or 'wrongthink' as Orwell so accurately prophesied in 1984). The only political views allowed are the what I called the 'trojan horse' views which look altruistic and progressive but serve a far more sinister objective; namely moving towards increased global tyranny. I must admit I find it hard to not let this stuff get me down. I oscillate between trying to control the controllables and trying to fight back. In reality I know fighting back will most likely be a suicide mission. That begs the question, what can one do? It seems the power is omnipotent and the masses are ignorant to it and only serve up hate when you try to fight for them. If anyone has any advice I would be appreciative. Peace, Enigma. |

| title | Enigma's back - BTC update |
| body | Hi guys, Haven't posted for a while, had some major issues getting internet in my new place and don't want to use steemit at work. In the time I was away, Bitcoin plunged from US$11k down to US$6k and now sits around $10,400, having had a bit of a frustrating pullback over the past day. I used the dip to add to my Bitcoin holding and was able to keep buying from under US$8k right up to $11k. We'll have to see how this dip plays out, but I'd be pretty surprised if we went back towards the previous lows. There's a lot of good news happening in the Bitcoin space in terms of Segwit/mempool and broader awareness. The resilience in the price (when many thought it was dying at $6k) is important. People are realising BTC is not a fad imo - that's huge. In the meantime, I'm trying to detach from riding every bump and thinking about the LT story, the rest is noise. Enigma out. |

| title | After the crypto storm: thoughts |
| body | Well, we currently could be in the eye of the storm. Sharp rallies can occur in bear markets such as the one we have soon recently. I remember this phenomenon in 2008 when I was relatively new to markets. You start to think everything is ok after seeing a 20% rise then wham, the market lets go again. As a result, on the chart I've envisaged the bear case: Could we go lower, absolutely. Many are looking at trend line resistance around the US$8k mark. Which given we're already down to US$11k (having dipped under 10) that's not far-fetched. Like many, if it drops to that level I will be buying more. That level would give Bitcoin not much more than US$100b market cap. Personally I think that's too pessimistic. For example, the US' public debt is around US$20 trillion, so Bitcoin would be pricing as 1/200th of one country's public debt. That hardly sounds like a massive global bubble to me, despite what the fake news mainstream media tries to put out. There's been an interesting theory (I hate saying conspiracy theory as it automatically discredits something) that Bitcoin may have been pumped by instos pre-futures market. They then placed shorts on futures and offloaded their Bitcoin to crash the market and cash in on their short. I think that makes some sense. However, the strategy only works so long as the little people freak out and sell. Otherwise, they will crash the market and BTC will just go into the hands of HODLers at lower prices who will refuse to sell. Personally I have invested a small sum around US$11k (I missed the bottom by the time the money was wired into my account). I have two more buy orders set, one around the previous low and then I'll put in the remaining capital should we hit that 8.5 mark. That's how I'm playing it. In times like these, it's important to manage your position size, that's why I'm not going nuts buying. You need to be able to ride out excruciating pain or you will fall victim to these games. If you put too much of your networth in, you're more likely to panic sell. That's why I cringe when I see people selling their house to buy crypto or borrowing on credit cards, you're playing Russian roulette. Hit the like button if you found this message worthy - share the love, it's been a rough week ;-) |

| title | Bitcoin: explosive move coming? |
| body | Greetings, Bitcoin has continued to bump along at around US$13.5k at the time of writing. This triangle formation has been widely talked about. In my time watching markets, this formation is one of the most reliable. A move out of the wedge (higher or lower) on volume will confirm what is likely to be an explosive move. Where do I think it's going? At the outset, I'm just guessing and yes, I'm biased. However, I'd still bet on it breaking higher. Sentiment surrounding Bitcoin over the past month has been butt-ugly. You know the old script, too slow, relic, ponzi scheme etc. It's amazing how much sentiment can change so quickly from a month ago when Bitcoin seemed unstoppable and daily rises were occurring like clockwork. There is hope for Bitcoin, things like the lightning network and Segwit hold hope re reducing transaction times and fees. And Bitcoin is still the store of value. If equity or property markets were to fall again in 2008, would people safely put their cash in Bitcoin or the likes of Tron, Cardano, Ripple etc? I know my answer. With many big financial names signalling the end of the secular bond bull market (i.e. falling interest rates), my scenario may not be as far-fetched as it sounds. Afterall, the last financial panic was almost 10 years ago now, we're overdue. At the same times, Central Banks are withdrawing liquidity and inflation looks to be rising, with crude oil prices increasing again. If you find this message of value, you know what to do! |
