| title | They find striking jellyfish in Colima |
| body | It seems that marine species that once did not let themselves be seen, come to peek from time to time in view of humans. Just a few days ago they found a viper shark in Taiwan, another of the recent discoveries was the largest archaeological site in the world in the Riviera Maya in Mexico. One more is added to this list: researchers found a spectacular and colorful jellyfish in the Archipelago of Revillagigedo, Colima in Mexico. It is a Halitrephes maasi, which had already been documented in the book Memoirs of the Museum of Comparative Zoology at Harvard College, there they said they had found it 548 meters deep, but this time they located it at a thousand 225 meters. How was the discovery? The ship that is dedicated to scientific explorations, Nautilus, was in waters of Revillagigedo, and was trying to capture the image of a crab when the measurement crossed in the way. The image of the Halitrephes maasi, was captured by the submarine of the crew, Hercules. The jellyfish drew attention for its colors: purple, pink, purple, orange and blue, as you can see in the video above. However, the researchers said the colors were the reflection of the submarine, because the jellyfish have no color and it is impossible to see them in the dark. As soon as the year starts and we have already had some surprises from the sea, what else will it bring us in the coming months? |

| body | NO ONE with ALS survives 50 years. They clearly put a double in after he died long ago and they have been using his double as a fake "science god" puppet ever since. His generated voice via facial twitches is a total joke as well. The fact that anyone buys this ridiculous act is beyond me. What no one wants to realize is the governments want desperately to sell people on the science as religion meme. They will go to incredible lengths (like even faking Hawking's ongoing life and viability as a scientist) to make this happen. https://youtu.be/yryMe8FIW0c https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlQQxoYVFgk |

They will go to incredible lengths (like even faking Hawking's ongoing life and viability as a scientist) to make this happen.\n\nhttps://youtu.be/yryMe8FIW0c\n\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlQQxoYVFgk",

| title | Stephen Hawking dies at 76 in his home in Cambridge |
| body | One of the brightest minds in physics today, Stephen Hawking, died today - early on Wednesday in Cambridge - at age 76, the Guardian reported. In a statement issued by his family, he announced that he died at his home in Cambridge. Still, until a few days ago, a video was broadcast in which Hawking answered a question that was often asked by astronomers and other scientists: What was before the Universe? Until now, the most accepted theory about the emergence of the Universe is that of the Big Bang 13,800 million years ago. Stephen Hawking, who opted for the theory "Proposal without limits", which he spoke on the television program Star Talk on National Geographic Channel. The Universe before the Big Bang For Hawking there was nothing before the Universe. He said that "the boundary condition of the Universe is ... that it has no border". It was also that it was absurd to talk about time, because with the birth of the Universe, time also arose. To better understand the "proposal without limits", the scientist explains that it is as if a "rewind" button was pressed that leads back to the history of the Universe. He said that as the Universe is constantly expanding, the logic is that by going back, it contracts to the size of an atom. Right at that little point and point, known as singularity, it would be totally like the matter of the Universe - mass, energy of the flowers of physics and time. Although time did not exist, yes "the arrow of time", the direction in which time points, what is explained as what it does, follow, contract, become more and more, small, know, the limit of its beginning . In conclusion, Stephen Hawking postulates that before the Big Bang time was contracted between the "quantum foam" of singularity, which causes it to distort into another dimension, approaching nothing, but without reaching nothing. Above you can see the part of the interview that took him to the scientist. |

| title | NASA publishes surprising image of Jupiter's 'twilight zone' |
| body | NASA is doing an experiment whose purpose is to capture the best images of the "twilight zone" of Jupiter. This image, which was recently published by NASA, is part of that project. It was captured by the space probe Juno and shows the swirling cloud formations around the south pole of Jupiter. Juno took the photo on her eleventh flyby near the gaseous planet on February 7. The space probe was 120 thousand 533 km from the top of the cloud zone and 84.9 degrees south latitude. How was this photograph achieved? The image was obtained by reprocessing the JunoCam data. Who took care of this was Gerald Eichstädt. To make it more visible a team in charge of Juno adjusted the JunoCam to take portraits, taking multiple photos at different exposure times, this would achieve the optimum light balance, according to a NASA statement. |

| title | HAMMER: the NASA ship equipped with bladed weapons whose objective is to destroy an asteroid in 2135 |
| body | HAMMER: the NASA ship equipped with bladed weapons whose objective is to destroy an asteroid in 2135 Bennu is a 500 meter asteroid in orbit around the Sun. For millions of years, this huge rock and Earth have coexisted peacefully, but in the year 2135, Bennu will be close enough to our planet. Enough for NASA to work on a ship to defend itself if necessary. https://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--g0UmywlB--/c_scale,fl_progressive,q_80,w_800/gbldnnukkchczwvwhz0a.jpg It is necessary to begin by clarifying that we are not talking about a certainty at all. Astronomers estimate that on September 21 of the year 2135, Bennu will get so close to Earth that there is a chance in 2,700 that the asteroid will hit our planet. From here to that date it is possible that the calculations are revised and there is not the slightest risk, but a probability of 1 in 2,700 is high enough for NASA to consider the possibility of having to take some action when that day arrives inside. of more than 100 years. That measure is called HAMMER (acronym for Hypervelocity Asteroid Mitigation Mission for Emergency Response) and is an 8.8 ton ship capable of diverting an asteroid simply impacting against it. In the worst case, HAMMER can activate a nuclear charge to stop the asteroid or destroy it. Detonating nuclear weapons in space seems a bit extreme, but right now it is the most powerful thing that human beings have in case they need to throw something at an asteroid. The ship is a collaboration of NASA with the Department of Energy and the Nuclear Safety Agency of the United States. For now, HAMMER is a concept that will be officially presented next May at a conference on space security in Japan. NASA has not received authorization to build it and most likely never will for a simple reason: it is a very expensive project. We know that it is very expensive because, in fact, we have already sent a ship to Bennu and it has cost us 800 million dollars. It is about the OSIRIS-REx mission. He took off in September 2016 and will arrive at his appointment with the asteroid in August 2018. The mission of OSIRIS-REx is double. First he will spend two years studying Bennu from very close. Taking into account everything we learned from Comet 67P / Churyumov-Gerasimenko thanks to the Rosetta probe, the OSIRIS-REx mission promises to teach us many things. The most exciting part of the project arrives in July of 2020. That year, the probe will deploy a device to capture a sample of Bennu's surface and bring it back to Earth for study. If all goes well, the sample would arrive in 2023. Apart from the scientific importance of the sample, the OSIRIS-REx mission is important because it will allow us to learn a lot from Bennu, to know how it moves and which is the most appropriate insertion orbit in case what we want is not exactly to practice a biopsy. | body | 2018 DV1, an asteroid that will pass close to Earth will collide with the One asteroid will approach the Earth on Friday March 2, approximately 113 thousand kilometers. The asteroid, called 2018 DV1, is about the size of a bus. Although this distance is considered close, it is not in danger of crashing on Earth. http://i.muyinteresante.com.mx/dam/tbg/ciencia-y-tecnologia/espacio/18/03/01/asteroid.jpg.imgo.jpg The Mount Lemmon Observatory team in Arizona detected 2018 DV1 on Monday and plotted its route to predict the closeness of its trajectory relative to Earth. Through the Virtual Telescope Project 2.0 portal the event will be broadcast live, which will start at 12:30 a.m. and you will be able to see it here. The Virtual Telescope Project will be monitoring another, called 2017 VR12, which will approach March 7. This asteroid measures between 150 and 470 meters and will pass 1.4 million kilometers. NASA says that none of these represents danger. |

| title | They find the oldest tattoos in Egyptian mummies |
| body | These tattoos, considered the oldest in history in two Egyptian mummies, which are about five thousand years old. With the use of infrared technology, researchers found a series of tattoos on two mummies at the British Museum in London. For a preservation and research program, the mummies were analyzed with computerized tomographies and infrared technology in search of modifications in the body, it was then that they found tattoos in two of them: Gebelein Man A and Gebelein Woman, which are exhibited in the British Museum for almost 100 years. The tattoos that were found in the mummy known as Gebelein Man A are in one of his arms and show three animals, which appear to be two long-tailed bulls with large horns and a sheep. Both species were known during the period in which the now mummified individuals lived. The tattoos of the second mummy, Gebelein Woman, are a series of four "S" shaped figures, placed vertically on the right shoulder. Below these, a mark was found in the form of a line, similar to objects that were used to decorate ceramic pieces. The tattoos The application of marks on the skin has been a cultural activity that have their origins in ancient societies. The tattoos on these mummies demonstrate the presence of this tradition in the predynastic period of Egypt, in the years 4000- 3100 BC. |

| title | Almost invisible animals |
| body | Nature never ceases to amaze us with the variety of species with different sizes and shapes. Some of them are better known than others. We show you a series of creatures that are not only difficult to find, but their shape and color make them almost impossible to perceive. These animals live in the depths of the ocean and they have almost invisible bodies to hide from predators. 1/4 The glass octopus (Vitreledonella richardi): http://i.muyinteresante.com.mx/dam/tbg/sociedad/fotos/18/03/01/1.-el-pulpo-de-vidrio.jpg.imgo.jpg It is completely invisible, except for your digestive system, nerves and eyes. Live in the depths of the ocean, 300-1000 meters below tropical waters. 2/4 The glass squid (Cranchiidae): http://i.muyinteresante.com.mx/dam/tbg/sociedad/fotos/18/03/01/3.-gusano-de-mar.jpg.imgo.jpg Like the glass octopus, its eyes project light, which can make it an easy prey to locate. However, this species uses a form of camouflage in which it does a trick called counter-lighting. Use the organs under your eyes to reflect the brightness and create an effect similar to that produced by the sun to seep into the water. 3/4 Sea worm (Tomopteris pacifica): http://i.muyinteresante.com.mx/dam/tbg/sociedad/fotos/18/03/01/3.-gusano-de-mar.jpg.imgo.jpg They have the ability to emit bright flashes of blue and yellow. They are also able to eject a series of luminescent particles to distract predators and escape. 4/4 Marine sapphires (Sapphirina): http://i.muyinteresante.com.mx/dam/tbg/sociedad/fotos/18/03/01/zafiros-marinos.jpg.imgo.jpg These animals are the size of an ant, have the ability to shine emitting gold, red and blue colors. However, if they feel threatened they can turn off their bright colors and become invisible in a matter of seconds. |

| title | Chinese scientists clone two macaque monkeys successfully |
| body | We all remember the case of the Dolly sheep, which was cloned a little over two decades ago and was said to have died of arthritis - a situation that was recently denied. Well today, scientists from China reported that they cloned two macaque monkeys, using the same technique they applied in Dolly: nuclear transfer of somatic cells. *What is nuclear transfer of somatic cells? It is a technique in which the nucleus of a mature body cell is transplanted to an ovule without a nucleus. The ovum must reprogram the DNA of the nucleus, in essence, it must strip the cell of the body of its identity and return it to an embryonic state. Without established identity, it can be converted into any type of cell in the body. *The cloning of mammals, after Dolly Since Dolly was cloned in 1996, the same technique was applied to 20 other species of mammals, including cats, dogs, rats, and even a camel. Although nuclear somatic cell transfer was used in all cases, the technology has improved in each case. A different one from the rest of the mammals was the cloning of a rhesus monkey, because the technique focused on dividing a single embryo into genetically identical embryos. *How will the cloning of these monkeys help? Researchers will be able to better understand diseases in humans, since macaques are close genetic relatives of humans. Clones facilitate the elimination of genetic complications when studying diseases. In this way, Zhong Zhong and Hua Hua -name of the monkeys- are consolidated as the first cloned primates reprogramming adult cells and will be under observation to know if they present anomalies. -Other publications that might interest you Stockholm syndrome: https://steemit.com/psychology/@thedan/stockholm-syndrome Water spills up in one of the highest dams in the world: https://steemit.com/amazing/@thedan/water-spills-up-in-one-of-the-highest-dams-in-the-world |
