      "body": "I read two things today that really just got under my skin. The first was an article that was one of many getting bankers to comment on Bitcoin in response to the whole \"Bitcoin is a fraud\" nonsense. I say nonsense because any Wall Street banker calling something a fraud is just humorous given that they almost managed to destroy the entire world economy.\n\nAccording to Bloomberg, James Gorman, CEO of Morgan Stanley, wondered aloud when regulators would \"decide [they] want to control monetary flows for money laundering and privacy and capital outflows and all the other reasons.\"\n\nI get that it is true that they will want to do this.  I also get that the very nature of cryptocurrency can successfully thwart their plans to control it. What irritated me is that there isn't enough outrage about KnowYourCustomer regulations in the first place. I can only speak as a US citizen but this seems like a blatant violation of my fourth amendment rights.  The fourth amendment states:\n\nAmendment IV\n\nThe right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.\n\nRequiring a bank to gather my private information because money launderers exist in the world would be like requiring me to allow surveillance cameras to be placed in my home because other people that own homes have been caught doing bad things.\n\nThings like this make me feel less free every day. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies turn the tables back in our favor.  If we can get to a point where we can avoid fiat entirely then the control is squarely back in the hands of we the people.\n\nThe second thing that pissed me off was a comment from a member of the US House of Representative about tax reform. We can have disagreements about whether there should be an estate tax and if so how much it should be.  What we really can't have a disagreement about is the word \"give\".       "body": "I started my career in technology as a video game tester.  There were many horrible video games that crossed my desk. Don't get me wrong there were great ones as well. Being paid to learn to fly a fighter jet in a flight sim was pretty cool and maybe someday I will post about those but today I happened across an old package from a game I worked on in 1999.\n\nThe game was Em@il Football. \n\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmfZt3bHKHPWxMHmpHGvFaMfdwi2vUxH9fffJ7WcuRzvF9/image.png)\n\nNow when I say this is the worst I had ever seen I need to give you some perspective. I generally got to work on the better quality titles because I was friends with the right people and was very good at first person shooters. Occasionally I would need to help out for a few hours on someone's project because of a time crunch or because the developers were late getting a build to us. Back in those days if you had to download a 600 MB video game it took a while. During these short moments I worked on such gems as Playskool cash register and I kid you not, the easy bake oven for pentium PCs. \n\nSo back to Em@il football.  I guess they just couldn't help being clever with the @ symbol or maybe it was so they could trademark it.  The way this modern wonder worked was that you would select a defense from a list and then hit send.  If you were lucky the person you were playing would get the email and set his offense. Here is a Press Release from Hasbro discussing the exciting action:\n```Hasbro Interactive's Em@il Games are as simple as sending regular e-mail messages. All it takes is an Em@il Game disk, a Windows-based e-mail account and a CD-ROM drive for the host player. Games are simple to open and play: Player One starts the game and makes the first move. After following prompts to enter both players' e-mail addresses, the game is sent to Player Two as an e-mail attachment. Player One's move is displayed on a colorful screen when Player Two opens the e-mail attachment. Then Player Two makes a move and sends it back. There's even a message feature so players can communicate with each other as they play.\n```\n\nIt fails to mention that all the emails must go through a special server which hasn't been up in over a decade so if for some bizarre reason you decided you wanted to try it out do not buy it expecting to be able to play.\n\nIn one of the early versions of the game there was no run off of the clock for running plays.  The average play took only one or two seconds of game time. I did some math and figured that if you and your closest friend did nothing other than play the game it would take somewhere in the neighborhood of 63 years to finish.  The defenses and offenses seemed to have almost no effect on the actual game play and as a NFL fan and gamer this one really made me question my desire to live. I was actually shocked that they eventually got NFL approval to ship this beast.\n\nThe one bright happy moment in this story is that at least I knew better when they went looking for someone to test em@il NASCAR and no that is not a joke it really exists.",

If ownership was transferred back to the aboriginal people and they don't want people to climb it then aren't there already bans and penalties in place although admittedly they need to start being enforced.  If someone climbed on my roof and took a dump you can be sure they would be getting arrested.",
