Both of his parents aren't even German Shepherds.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h1>Teddy's Tale</h1>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nI don't think I began wanting Teddy. I <em>didn't hate him per se nor disliked him</em> in any way. I guess, I just didn't want another dog -- that time, two dogs were living at home.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nHe was one of the five puppies meant to be given away, and out of the five, he was the thinnest and -- seemingly -- the weakest. Soon, three puppies had found their new home. And together with his fat sibling, he was left.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nI then learned that Teddy and his sibling already had designated owners, which was good. But until I realized that he was going to someone whose ability to provide food for and take care of a dog is questionable, I knew I had to have him.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nAs of this writing, he's now a few days past his second year here. I fondly call him \"<strong>my favorite dog</strong>\" because he is!\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nI get a lot of comments about him being a <em>German Shepherd dog</em>.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nNope. He's not. Both of his parents aren't even German Shepherds.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h1>Teddy's Tale</h1>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nI don't think I began wanting Teddy. I <em>didn't hate him per se nor disliked him</em> in any way. I guess, I just didn't want another dog -- that time, two dogs were living at home.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nHe was one of the five puppies meant to be given away, and out of the five, he was the thinnest and -- seemingly -- the weakest. Soon, three puppies had found their new home. And together with his fat sibling, he was left.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nI then learned that Teddy and his sibling already had designated owners, which was good. But until I realized that he was going to someone whose ability to provide food for and take care of a dog is questionable, I knew I had to have him.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nAs of this writing, he's now a few days past his second year here. So far, keeping him is one of the best decisions I've ever made.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nOh, I named him Teddy after <em>Ted Mosby</em>, the character from <a href=\"https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0460649/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">How I Met Your Mother</a>.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n&nbsp; <br /><center><hr/><em>Posted from my blog with <a href='https://wordpress.org/plugins/steempress/'>SteemPress</a> : https://mildtrips.com/meet-the-dog-named-teddy/ </em><hr/></center> ",

Its history goes way back to the Battle of Marengo in 1800 when it was first prepared after <a href=\"https://www.biography.com/people/napoleon-9420291\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Napoleon Bonaparte</a> defeated the Austrian army.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nIt's a classic favorite because many people love chicken and many people also love stew.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nHere are the ingredients and the process on how to make this chicken stew favorite.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nIngredients:\r\n<ul>\r\n <li>Chicken (breast part)</li>\r\n <li>2 cloves garlic (crushed)</li>\r\n <li>1 onion (sliced)</li>\r\n <li>1 tsp. lime juice</li>\r\n <li>1 can tomatoes (peeled)</li>\r\n <li>1 tbsp. tomato paste</li>\r\n <li>1 spring onion (sliced)</li>\r\n <li>2 tbsp. sweet chili sauce</li>\r\n <li>Salt &amp; pepper to taste</li>\r\n <li>100g champignon (sliced)</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h1>The Process</h1>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<strong>Part A</strong>\r\n<ol>\r\n <li>First, wash chicken breast and pat dry.</li>\r\n <li>In a large bowl, mix garlic and lime juice. Then, add the chicken.</li>\r\n <li>And then store properly and leave the mixture for a few hours.</li>\r\n</ol>\r\n<strong>Part B</strong>\r\n<ol>\r\n <li>First, heat the frying pan and sauté onion.</li>\r\n <li>Next, fry chicken breast until brown on both sides.</li>\r\n <li>Add tomatoes and tomato paste. Then simmer until meat is tender.</li>\r\n <li>Finally, add sweet chili mix, spring onion, and champignon.</li>\r\n</ol>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h1>My Story</h1>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nSince childhood, Chicken Marengo has been one of my favorites. And I like eating it with rice. If I had my way, I would have it as some sort of “weekly viand”. Other than for its high comedic value (so I've heard), I didn't expect to get much out of it - okay so maybe a few nice songs like Regina Spektor's You've Got Time.\n\nAfter all, it's a show about women in prison. What could it possibly teach me?\n\nBut a few minutes into a show with a diversified set of characters, I realized one thing: I was wrong. I was such a snob.\n\nOITNB hits too close to home in a non-nostalgic fashion.\n\nIt shows the often tough realities of life - both the fair and the unfair ones - and tackles important issues and social causes such as LGBTQ+, drug addiction, mental health, the flawed prison system, corruption, rape, love, betrayal, and the Black Lives Matter movement.\n\nIt also hands out a dose of sage advice that isn't hard to welcome.\n\n# It's a Walk in the Park!\n\nAlbeit prison-themed, watching OITNB is comparable to a walk in the park because it acknowledges - and addresses - the above-mentioned issues and other universal problems in a lighthearted approach. \n\nOtherwise, it wouldn't be much of a hit… not to me, at least. I get bored easily and quickly - and I lose 100% of my interest in something fast if boredom starts to sink in.\n\nPlus, I'm almost always ready to ditch something that is not the least bit relatable.\n\nFortunately, this wasn't the case. OITNB is actually entertaining and at the same time, relatable.\n\nSurprisingly, a plethora of relatable moments was all over the show. One moment, in particular, was the start of Piper Chapman's \"prison journey\". I have never been to a prison and I have never been imprisoned nor do I think I'm \"bad\" enough to be get imprisoned.\n\nBut I could relate to it. Yes, a show that revolves around a prison system and with prisoners, COs, and executives of a prison system as the characters is relatable to me.\n\n\"Maybe it's because of its predominantly female cast and the fact that I'm female,\" I thought to myself at first.\n\nMaybe so. But beyond that, I find it relatable because of the encounters in the show. These encounters are not far from happening in real life. The mundane existence of the inmates reflects my own mundane situation.\n\n# A+ Comedy\n\nKudos to the show for injecting witty, original humor - humor that I can understand easily. Kudos to its creator, Jenji Kohan.\n\nI remember laughing my heart out during the cafeteria scene, wherein Galina \"Red\" Reznikov gives free yogurt to Piper, and then Piper comments that \"the food here is disgusting\" without knowing that Red was was actually in charge of the cooking.\n\nRed takes it as an insult. Well, of course. So she refuses to give food to Piper, hence, starving her. And there I was, thinking… \"Woah! I've never heard of such brutally genius punishment!\"\n\nI laugh a lot at the show's dialogues because they're realistic and they're my kind of realistic.\n\nLike Piper, I have a \"bluntness\" and fondness for making-friends-without-knowing-the-facts, too. And whenever both of them kicks in, I get in trouble.\n\nFor the record, I usually don't intend to injure someone with my poor choices of words when we first meet. I may even mean well in such situations. It's just that… I sometimes don't think.\n\nWith the angsty initial encounter between Piper and Red, I believe that was the case. If Piper thought of her words before letting them out and to whom she was speaking to, Red would've spared her of her wrath.\n\n# And Then It Continues\n\nWhat I dislike about OITNB is its vulgar nature. Call me old-fashioned but I find cursing, badmouthing, and dirty situations unattractive. Sad to say, all these are woven into the show.\n\nLuckily, though, I can cast aside my dislike for vulgarity because I believe the show NEEDS it to deliver some points effectively and well, realistically.\n\nFor instance, there's the character of Nicole \"Nicky\" Nichols. If she didn't curse as much, I don't believe she'd be able to deliver a laudable performance.\n\nBesides, vulgarity is hardly an issue because my focus is on the fact that I've learned a lot from the show. For starters, I, now, know the meanings of SHU, CO, Max, and Minimum.\n\nAnd now OITNB just capped off its sixth season - and it has gone far from what it was in the beginning. In fact, the pilot episode showed Piper's journey into the prison. Well, in the finale of the sixth season, Piper officially exited prison.\n\nWith Piper (as the nominal character) exiting the prison, wondering whether or not the show will continue isn't supposed to be an impossible thought. But… it is. It is impossible because OITNB is more than just Piper's journey into prison.\n\nOf course, I'm wondering about what will happen. I don't have any expectations for the next season, really. Surely, though, I'll continue tuning in to OINTB because of its value. It's entertaining, informative, and relatable. I mean, I'm not a misogynist and I don't hate her or anything. And don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of femme fatale (and duh, Marvel, too!)\n\nBut being a non-fan of Jessica has to do with a single aspect: she's a child. And she's a brat.\nAnd I guess, in my opinion, that didn't work for her last season. This season, however, I believe it did.\n\nIn season 1, I perceived Jessica as a child and nothing but. After her emotional shenanigans and rocking adventures this season, I got to see her in a brighter light. She may still be a child, for me, but I guess she's an emotionally responsible child now, which is a big plus. And I think - nay, believe - <a href=\"http://marvelcinematicuniverse.wikia.com/wiki/Alisa_Jones\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Alisa Jones</a> played a massive part in that.\n<h1>It's a Mother Thing</h1>\nEven before she got her superpowers, Alisa is the sole reason why Jessica existed. And primarily due to <a href=\"http://marvelcinematicuniverse.wikia.com/wiki/Karl_Malus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Karl Malus</a>, she ejected herself out of Jessica's life with the intention of secretly keeping an eye on her.\n\nWere it not for Alisa, Jessica may only be that always-drunk-child-who-makes-a-career-out-of-vigilantism-because-she-has-superpowers. Well, she still is that. After all, that's her identity as a superhero.\n\nBut other than recognizing her merely for her character as a drunken vigilante and operating ALIAS Investigations, Jessica transformed into this emotional being with a damn good heart.\n\nCase in point: she chose not to when she could've easily kill Karl.\n<h1>Protagonist vs. Antagonist</h1>\nNow back to Alisa.\n\nThere is no denying that her introduction was rough. I mean she did attack Jessica for coming to meet her.\n\nAnd beyond her initial attack against Jessica, it can be difficult to see Alisa as a protagonist… because, well, to borrow Oscar's words, \"she murdered people\". And unfortunately, many of the victims were innocent.\n\nIf I juggle between categorizing her as a protagonist and an antagonist, I'd say she's the former.\n\nWhen Jessica knew of her identity, she became this genuine, loving, supportive mother who would risk her own life for her daughter. By then, not once did she show any hint that she's more superior than her daughter - even though it was apparent that she was.\n\nIt blows seeing her demise in the end when Jessica was finally able to make peace with the fact that they could be a team who saves the world. And it blows that it was someone as ordinary as <a href=\"http://marvelcinematicuniverse.wikia.com/wiki/Trish_Walker\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Trish Walker</a> killed her.\n\nOf all people.\n<h1>Trish Walks?</h1>\nAgain, I'm no misogynist. But I want Trish out.\n\nI don't believe she contributes anything pleasant to Jessica's life and yet she claims otherwise. Talk about toxic. It's as if she sees herself as the one person who can redeem Jessica.\n\nThat, and I dislike the dynamic between them. Whoever thought that pairing up a superhuman and an ordinary person makes for good entertainment is flat out bonkers.\n<h1>The Last Say</h1>\nBut even if Trish is not out of Jessica's life next season - realistically, she's still going to be a star, of course, I'm still looking forward to the 3rd installment of Jessica Jones.\n\nNo more Alisa, but hey, I got to see a really soft - and adorable - side to Jessica.
