titleWhat is e-Sports? & How to be a player?
bodyAs technology advances, sports are being changed. One of the new sports is e-sports. Day by day, it is becoming more popular. Some teens focused to become e-sports players. They focused on a video game. Then, they need to show their skills in tournaments. So, they can be chosen by a professional team. And, of course, it has pros and cons. ![Faker-T1-Entertainment-Part-Ownership.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmQZhoj9VoopYzy7QPzXoUw33A1HRKUpLVoeqQN3P2bmCy/Faker-T1-Entertainment-Part-Ownership.jpg) You can have some career options (professional player, coach, referee, social media manager, agent, content creator etc.) in the e-sports. Earnings are variable. Especially, in the Asian countries, e-sports are really popular and earnings are good. For example, South Korean player "Faker" makes 2 million dollars in a year. But Faker is one of the most popular players. Most of the players earn an average salary. So, they generally stream or upload on YouTube their games to bring a substantial income. If you want to earn money, you need to play top games. To build a career, firstly you need to find a true game category for you. Then, you should decide to become a player, coach or something else. You should play games for hours, more than 12 hours in a day. If you think you know the game really good, you should find a team. Or you can play single-player games. Then, you should join tournaments. Bigger teams watch these tournaments and if you show yourself, they will offer you a contract. You can also stream your gaming. You can both show yourself and bring substantial income. There are communities in social media. You can join and you can eve build a new team. Another important point is experience. If you are experienced enough, you can be a player or coach for a team. ![dcb6807final.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmPaqXLy2CZ9LiqgH1U5w7rQZ1BvwYw7763Td7C6vBTSUA/dcb6807final.jpg) There are some researches. For example, research by the University of Montreal suggests that playing video games can have benefits when it comes to visual attention and short-term memory. Also, some experts claim that e-sports require more skill than regular sports. But there are some opposing views. One of them is sitting and looking at a screen for long hours. This can create eye problems, posture problems. Inactivity, for hours, is bad for our health. There are also mental health issues. Some studies show that gaming can be addictive. But, nowadays, most of us use computers and mobile phones. We are looking on a screen for hours. So, I think eye problems are not really a problem for e-sports. About posture problems, professional teams must provide a gym for their players. So, many players are aware of these problems and trying to prevent problems.

titleWhat is e-Sports? & How to be player?
bodyAs technology advances, sports are being changed.

About posture problems, professional teams must provide a gym for their players. So, many players are aware of these problems and trying to prevent problems.

There are many ways to parent. We can't say one of them is the right way but we can categorize them. I will categorize them under four titles. They are *Overprotective Parents, Perfectionist Parents, Authoritative Parents, Incoherent Parents*. So, you will have an idea about ways to parent. You can decide which way is true to you. **Overprotective Parents** These parents have an excessive love of their kids. They aren't likely to use strict discipline; discipline is almost non-existent. Almost every time, they look with favor on whatever their kids do. These parents set their kids free. And generally, these kids aren't open to criticism so they can't improve themselves. They generally have difficulty in social situations and school because they get used to irregularity. ![11-Parenting-FP-newsletter-jumbo.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmez15txkhhghav7RMH34QjxDDJVSULpccQCP5L3RaLcyW/11-Parenting-FP-newsletter-jumbo.jpg) **Perfectionist Parents** These parents have excessive love as well. Which one is better and what teens prefer? Firstly, we can say that reading is an active activity but watching videos is not. So, reading needs more attention than watching and reading is a slow process. Books are considered more accurate and objective as compared to videos. Watching videos is like someone is feeding you the information with a spoon. On the other hand, videos are more convenient option. In contrast to reading, you can watch a video more quickly and you can take information in a short time span. And this is one of the main reasons why teens prefer watching. If you don’t have time, you can find a video easily and learn whatever you want. But, if you want to learn details, you should find a book and spare more time to reading. Brain likes visualise and videos make this easier for us. Because in videos visualities are ready. So, we can watch a video quickly and take information. This also effects the development of brain. Reading is slower but it requires to think while reading. This provides you expand your imagination and creativity. And it provides also you develop your literary skills. In today’s world, Electricity and Internet are commonly available. But a book doesn’t require electricity, a battery or internet whereas watching videos does. Mostly books are not free, they can be cheap but not free most of time. For students, it can be really expensive. However, there are a lot of free videos available. Actually, technology combined book and tablet pc, what we call as “E-Book reader”. You can find free E-Books on the Internet. This is really good option for teens. “Compared with previous generations, teens in the 2010s spent more time online and less time with traditional media, such as books, magazines and television” said Jean M. Twenge, author of the book iGen. Teens are growing up with smartphones and Internet. This is one of the main reasons. Some of teens say I prefer to read books due to depth but day by day movies and videos gain more popularity. We have to teach our children about books and they should know value of reading. If can’t decide reading or watching, you can try “hybrid” option. For example, if you didn’t understand a part of a book, you can watch a video. It helps you to understand. So, try it if you aren’t sure about them! ![shutterstock_1034052847.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQma5o2qmH6Y2NsfPTtu6xdhuyHjeUES8vWmLeCFaGp35Aa/shutterstock_1034052847.jpg)
