| body | Hello everyone! This is my achievement 3, I am so excited to have gotten to this stage. I want to talk about PLAGIARISM. PLAGIARISM Plagiarism is the case of copying someone else's work or ideas and turning it into yours, without the person's permission or without mentioning the original source of the work, taking all the credits and accolades for the work yourself. Plagiarism is not a good practice, this is because it is mostly for the selfish interest of the plagiarizer. Selfishness, stealing, dishonesty are the brothers to plagiarism. It is not a bad thing to make use of someone else's work but remember to make references to the person each time. Now let's talk about TYPES OF PLAGIARISM: 1. DIRECT PLAGIARISM Direct plagiarism is the word-for-word transcription of a section of someone else’s work, without attribution and without quotation marks. The deliberate plagiarism of someone else's work is unethical, academically dishonest, and grounds for disciplinary actions, including expulsion.[source](https://www.bowdoin.edu/dean-of-students/judicial-board/academic-honesty-and-plagiarism/common-types-of-plagiarism.html). 2. SELF PLAGIARISM Self-plagiarism occurs when a student submits his or her own previous work, or mixes parts of previous works, without permission from all professors involved. For example, it would be unacceptable to incorporate part of a term paper you wrote in high school into a paper assigned in a college course. Self-plagiarism also applies to submitting the same piece of work for assignments in different classes without previous permission from both professors.[source](https://www.bowdoin.edu/dean-of-students/judicial-board/academic-honesty-and-plagiarism/common-types-of-plagiarism.html). 3. MOSAIC PLAGIARISM Mosaic Plagiarism occurs when a student borrows phrases from a source without using quotation marks, or finds synonyms for the author’s language while keeping to the same general structure and meaning of the original. Sometimes called “patch writing,” this kind of paraphrasing, whether intentional or not, is academically dishonest and punishable[source](https://www.bowdoin.edu/dean-of-students/judicial-board/academic-honesty-and-plagiarism/common-types-of-plagiarism.html). 4. ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM Accidental plagiarism occurs when a person neglects to cite their sources, or misquotes their sources, or unintentionally paraphrases a source by using similar words, groups of words, and/or sentence structure without attribution.[source](https://www.bowdoin.edu/dean-of-students/judicial-board/academic-honesty-and-plagiarism/common-types-of-plagiarism.html). Now you will find out that all these types of Plagiarism are not good, non is justifiable. Including the accidental plagiarism, that is why one ought to be extremely careful. There are some reasons why people plagiarise: REASONS OR CAUSES OF PLAGIARISM 1. Desire to get a good grade[source](https://www.rit.edu/twc/academicintegrity/reasons-students-plagiarize-or-cheat). Some persons who plagiarize, all they want is just good grades. They don't believe that their own ideas can get them good grades, so they look for someone else's own to copy and paste. 2. Fear of failing[source](https://www.rit.edu/twc/academicintegrity/reasons-students-plagiarize-or-cheat). Some persons are afraid of failing, they don't have confidence in their own handwork, so they tend to copy from someone else. 3. Procrastination or poor time management[source](https://www.rit.edu/twc/academicintegrity/reasons-students-plagiarize-or-cheat). Some persons don't know how to manage time while some others are just good in procastinating, this makes them not to be able to meet up with the deadline for submission of a particular work, they will now copy and paste. 4. Disinterest in the assignment[source](https://www.rit.edu/twc/academicintegrity/reasons-students-plagiarize-or-cheat). Some persons may find an assignment or work boring or uninteresting, making them to just copy from another source. 5. Belief they will not get caught[source](https://www.rit.edu/twc/academicintegrity/reasons-students-plagiarize-or-cheat). Some people always feel smart and think they won't get caught in the act, but whether caught or not, plagiarism is not good. 6. Confusion about what constitutes plagiarism or current university policies[source](https://www.rit.edu/twc/academicintegrity/reasons-students-plagiarize-or-cheat). Some persons are just confused or oblivious of what constitutes plagiarism, this is more reason we should do researches. 7. Laziness: So many persons are just lazy in innovating or reproducing their plans. Laziness is a big encouragement to plagiarism. EFFECTS OF PLAGIARISM: 1. Plagiarism can ruin your career.[source](https://libguides.astate.edu/c.php?g=14600&p=7309403). 2. You will lose your integrity. 3. You will not be trustworthy anymore. 4. You will find it hard to innovate ideas on your own. 5. Causes some emotional problems (such as anger, heart break, hatred, e.t.c.) to the original owner of the work, when he sees his hard work being overtaken by someone else. AVOIDING PLAGIARISM 1. You avoid plagiarism by innovating your own ideas, be an innovator. Just believe in yourself that you can do it and then start doing it. This will help build your mind till you eventually see yourself doing something extraordinary on your own. 2. Always remember to mention the source of an idea that is not yours. 3. Removing all fear of unknown. This is just being scared of how your own ideas will look in other people's eyes, fear of being embarrassed. Learn to have confidence, boldness and courage when it comes to doing your work or innovating ideas. CONCLUSION: Plagiarism is not a good practice like I said earlier. As simple as it sounds or looks, it is still a crime. We should, as much as we can, stay away from it. Thank you. [source](https://www.canstockphoto.com/open-hand-raised-stop-plagiarism-sign-19772349.html) I would finally like to say that I have read and understood the Steem etiquette on the Steem community and will do my possible best to adopt them. | body | Hello everyone! 4. Learn to have confidence, boldness and courage when it comes to doing your work or innovating ideas. CONCLUSION: Plagiarism is not a good practice like I said earlier. | title | PLAGIARISM |
| body | Hello everyone! 2. 4. | title | ACHIEVEMENT 2 @Sweetwonder TOPIC: BASIC SECURITY ON STEEMIT |
| body | Beloved Steemians. I have been able to complete my Achievement 1 post and this is my Achievement 2 post which will center on steem security. # STEEMIT SECURITY In order to avoid fraudsters on the internet world, we have to be security conscious and becoming security conscious has to do with safeguarding your Steemit keys and preventing invasion of privacy. In order to properly guard my keys, I have a hardcopy of my keys kept in a hidden place. # FUNCTIONS OF THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF KEYS IN STEEMIT 1) Master password This key can be used to unlock every other keys and it should be secured properly if not when it is lost it cannot be retrieved. 2) Private Owner key This key is very vital in such a way that it can be used to reset all passwords and it can be used to alter and recover accounts within 30 days if it is hacked. 3) Private active key This key is used for all monetary transactions and the functions are transferring tokens, powering up and powering down, SBD conversion, etc. If this key is a token it can be used to make transactions from your steem wallet. 4) Private memo key This key is used to send and receive encrypted private message and it is also decrypts message. 5) Private posting key The function of this key is to access your account daily, commenting, editing, posting, up voting, down voting, resteeming, etc. # HOW TO TRANSFER YOUR STEEM TO ANOTHER STEEM USER At first, log in to your steem wallet and then input your username and your active key. Next, you move to your steem and click the drop down arrow. Click on transfer and type the name of the receiver and the amount. # HOW TO POWER UP YOUR STEEMIT For you to achieve this aim, simply log in to your steem wallet using your private active key and user name. Then click on the steem arrow and select power up. Next, you can then fill in the amount you want to power up. When you have achieved that, click the power up button. Thank you for reading my post and for the opportunity to write on steem security. I remain your beloveth @sweetwonder. Special thanks Cc: @cryptokannon Cc: @steemcurator03 Cc: @trafalgar Cc: @Obas-bright Cc: @whitestallion Cc: @yohan2on |

| title | ⭐⭐ CONTEST: WHAT'S YOUR BIGGEST DREAM IN LIFE?? ⭐⭐ // Entry by @sweetwonder |
| body | In life, dreams can be triggered. My dreams were triggered because of my family, most especially my dad. I come from a poor community and even though my family weren't poor, one of my passion is to erase poverty from my community as a whole. # MY BIGGEST DREAMS CAN SIMPLY BE DIVIDED INTO TWO: # BEING A WELL KNOWN PASTOR My dad is a pastor, although not well known because he did not answer his call on time. As a kid at the age of twelve, I watched a program of late Archbishop Benson Idahosa and something inside of me stirred up telling me he was the type of man I was meant to be. From that day onwards, I started working on fulfilling that God given purpose. Although, before then I knew I had God's call. I want to be a Pastor that helps people, both financially and spiritually in terms of healing and signs and wonders. # BECOMING A SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEUR One of my biggest dreams is to be a very successful business man. I'm already into the business of barbing which I'd love to take to the next level. I also love the fashion business and would love to venture into men's clothing and shoes, becoming a well known brand. *The type of wears I sell* Thank you to @belenguerra @fendit @writingnreviews for the opportunity to share my dreams. Thank you to everyone for reading my post. Cc: @steemcurator01 Cc: @steemcurator02 Cc: @trafalgar Cc: @whitestallion |
