bodyHi there, back after taking yesterday off as well sadly, still getting back into the swing of things after Tuesday's events. I decided to drop this list now before the set came out, to get an idea floating out there early! Tomorrow I'll post twice to catch up a bit, and I think you'll like what I've got in store. I don't want to drag on, so; Without further ado, a bad MSPaint edit for the thumbnail: # Yourassic Park (A Standard Dino Zoo) https://i.imgur.com/iWurKqv.png # Overview Yourassic Park is an aggro deck meant to gain an early advantage by sticking aggressively costed threats, and protecting those threats through well-timed pump spells. Almost every creature costs two mana, so three or four lands is the sweet spot to find. Turn 3 is the most important of the game for this deck, being able to untap with a 2-cmc beater begin the offensive. Late game is a little dicey being a low end aggressive deck, but if you time your pump/protection spells correctly there's always a way out of a jam. This is my first go at the list and I'll be updating it through later installments! I made the deck on MTGSalvation's deckbuilder, which I highly recommend anyone to use! It's very simple and fast! http://www.mtgsalvation.com/decks/962-yourassic-park # The Decklist ![dinos.png](https://steemitimages.com/DQmY82Pi96DkuUhSo8NXGaiLLZAxPGcjDhZmmumAQwXkayt/dinos.png) # Notable Card Choices **PATH TO METTLE:** Really strong at clearing most tokens, and doesn't drop any of your creatures except **Cherished Hatchling** (more on that in a second) so you really don't need to be afraid to let this one rip. The flipside gives you some inevitability, and can also allow you to drop more of your hand out if you've been having some mana problems. **CHERISHED HATCHLING:** While this little guy IS a nonbo with **Path to Mettle**, it also doubles as one of the scariest cards for your opponent to clear with removal precombat if you get to untap with him. The fight mechanic is a way to regain board superiority against big and wide strategies alike. **THRASHING BRONTODON:** While the double green and 3-cmc is a little hard to stomach, this guy is gonna do wonders against decks that can land a **_______ Gearhulk** onto the battlefield, so this is a necessary mainboard inclusion. the 3/4 body is still pretty relevant, and can act as a decent beater against the decks where Gearhulks won't be the issue for you. **APPEAL // AUTHORITY:** The top side is a cheap&impressive combat trick, with the backside being a slightly more expensive, slightly more impressive combat trick! Playing from the graveyard has impressive upside to it, and the backside also helps activate your **Path To Mettle**s **BLOOD SUN:** In the board, this one sides into the deck pretty nicely against certain greedy manabases. I can see swapping the Paths for **Blood Sun** if Path doesn't effect your opponent so much! Also doesn't hurt your **Unclaimed Territory** if it was placed down before your Sun rises. #Early/Mid/Late Game ###### Early Game The most important phase of the game, you definitely want your opener to have at LEAST two threats and a protection/pump spell. Always play the creatures first if you're debating between one and a **Path To Mettle** . **Siegehorn Ceratops** and **Relentless Raptor** are both incredibly powerful starts, both powering through Path (with Siegehorn being especially powerful). If your opponents come after one of your threats, you should always use your spells to protect them. Make them work to clear your early pressure! Turn 3 is paramount, going 2-drop with protection spell mana open is your optimal route here. ###### Mid Game This is where you need to finish the game in most circumstances. Keep applying board presence, using combat tricks to your advantage while keeping your guys on the field. **Appeal // Authority** is especially strong here, and **Savage Stomp** can clear a board for your alpha strike finish. **Gearhulks** and creatures with high toughness are your main problem here, but **Blossoming Defense** can allow you to finish off large creatures. I would say to reserve **Lightning Strike** and **Shock** for your opponent's head, but clearing out a midrange beast might be well worth the spell's use. Hope you end it by turns 6 or 7! ###### Late Game You Lose!!! Don't let yourself get to the late game. Seriously, just don't. If your opponent is able to cast two large spells in one turn, it's hard to catch up. **Path to Mettle** again can end a game through it's shocking, but that alone is a pretty tall order to fulfill. Keep hope alive! Peeling multiple threats and protection off the top might be enough to power you home. Alright, that's pretty much all I have to say for now! Like I said I'll be posting updates on this list, so be on the lookout for those and more!!! Sorry again for my posts being sporadic the past few days, but believe me I'm back! I'd love to hear anyone's feedback, and hope you guys enjoy this little read!

bodyHey everyone, sorry for not posting last night. A family emergency came up, and had to deal with that for most of the day. I'll be making a post later today, but sadly it won't be the *Shin Godzilla* review I said that I'd be posting as I didn't have the time to sit down and rewatch it :( Stay Tuned!

bodyThanks a lot @dcj! Hopefully more people will follow suit, but for now here I am lol. I'll be posting Magic related topics every two or three days, so be on the lookout for that :) Most likely a [Standard] deck idea (a rarity for me) to get out a few days before the set drops! If you have any suggestions on future installments, be sure to let me know! Suggestions are always welcome

bodyAs promised, I'm back to give my review of the Multicolored/Colorless Mythics&Rares in Rivals of Ixalan. I will be looking at the cards through an Eternal format lens, so my takes on the cards for Standard environments may be off key! http://i.4cdn.org/v/1514351780615.jpg If you missed my review of the Five Colors, I've got you covered: https://steemit.com/mtg/@svenboolie/rivals-of-ixalon-rares-mythics-review-the-five-colors Again, all of the card images I pull are from MythicSpoiler, who offers a click-free view at the newest set in its' entirity here: http://www.mythicspoiler.com ## Multicolored http://theendgamesblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/RsjbhOm.png ##### The Limited Ones - Hadana's Climb ##### Path of Mettle - The one I'm least excited about, if anything for the ugly block of text it represents. The card features an apparent clash of interests, as the backside of the card feels best in a control shell, whereas the front side wants to be using some sort of aggro strategy. The backside makes me want to make a Deck that could utilize this bad boy with Ajani Vengeant and some relevant midrange threats with *vigilance* or *first Strike*. ##### Journey to Eternity http://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/journeytoeternity.jpg http://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/atzalcaveofeternity.jpg - Probably (?) the best of the bunch. Aggressively costed, recursion for a threat, mana ramp, AND reanimation on a land??? Well then. Any etb effect is great with this, and anything with a relevant death trigger as well. So essentially... most creatures you would be playing anyways in these colors? I see Jund or BG Rock coming in strong with a few of these in their lists very soon. Interactions with a card like **Fulminator Mage** are just the start of its' utility. ##### Storm the Vault - Similar to Path of Mettle in the sense, this one feels like it's being pulled in a few too many directions. I'll reserve judgement on this one due to possible combo applications, but it's close to being one of the "limited ones" ##### Profane Procession http://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/profaneprocession1.jpg http://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/tomboftheduskrose1.jpg - Mardu superfriends... Mardu Midrange... Esper Control... Black/White Prison... the lists go on for Profane Procession. Drop this after a **tarmogoyf** on turn 3, a **Kitchen Finks** on turn 4, or a **Damnation** turn 5 and each time it'll feel great. The flip side has trememdous upside, and gives you another way to add threats to a board that might get stalled at some point. ##### Protean Raider http://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/proteanraider1.jpg - Attack triggers are always awesome, and you don't even have to tip the opponent off to this before it's already too late for them to react outside of a counter. Clone effects are always great, and 3 mana is pretty slick! ##### Siegehorn Ceratops -Holy Moly! Any sort of Ping effect is great with this, and gives you inevitability. Pyrohemia, this, Ripjaw Raptor, and TrapJaw Tyrant make me want to brew a Naya Dinohemia deck! ##### The COMMANDER Ones - Azor, the Lawbringer -Elendra, the Dusk Rose - Zacama, Primal Calamity (Might need to make a commander deck now...) ##### Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca http://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/kumenatyrantoforazca1.jpg - If it weren't for his fish-centric abilities, he'd be in the Commander Ones... But since it IS Merfolk, this gives him some playability there (along with the usual undercosting of him). Each of his three abilities are relevant in most cases, so even if you only have the first ability active he can do a bit of damage. Toolbox Merfolk? What could go wrong! We'll sure find out soon :') ##### Angrath, the Flame-Chained http://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/angraththeflamechained1.jpg - 5 Mana really, really scares me off of him for his ability set, but he might be great if built around. His + is a slow but steady way to grinding out a win, and his - gives you reach and aggression. the only problem is that neither of them give him any protection! To even get to thinking about his ultimate, you NEED to protect him. ##### Hautli, Radiant Champion http://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/huatliradiantchampion.jpg - Maybe the most Narrow walker there is, having to be in a heavy creature strategy to have any sort of explosive start. Board wipes and removal spells directly affect her in every aspect, which is something I usually don't want to see on a walker. ## Colorless (no picture, booo!) ##### The Limited/Commander Ones - The Immortal Sun (still cool tho) - Captain's Hook ##### Silent Gravestone http://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/silentgravestone1.jpg - A 1 mana yard hoser that... Dredge can use to my understanding? (outside of Loam) the deck goes off with a hitch. The later ability also works as a way to dig for an answer when your yard isn't looking quite right. ##### Golden Guardian http://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/goldenguardian1.jpg http://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/goldforgegarrison1.jpg - MUD in modern? If it wasn't a thing, it should be now! This guy is crazy being a 4/4 body, with a flip ability that is also relevant to the strategy. Adding TWO mana and making Golemns repeatedly is not to be overlooked!!! ##### Awakened Amalgam - Power and Toughness equal to land NAMES? Well then. The exclusion of any evasion, hurts, but if one of your lands happens to be called **Kessig Wolf Run**, I don't think you'd mind very much about that! ##### Azor's Gateway http://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/azorsgateway.jpg http://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/sanctumofthesun.jpg - Really, an impressive (but odd) card. Certain decks will automatically rule out its' inclusion due to the cmc requirements for flipping. Cyling cards is never a bad thing to be doing, and the potential payoff of a huge mana generator will be tempting for many decks to try and break. ##### Arch of Orazca - I think the mana investment will be too annoying for any deck to try and put up with outside of Lands. And it could actually be sweet in a MODERN lands deck! Thanks to anyone who read my review! Hope you guys like the reviews as much as I liked writing about it :) I may come back with a list for MODERN featuring some of the newer cards from this set. Stay tuned! I'll be back tomorrow with a review of *"Shin Godzilla"*, so I hope you guys will come check that out as well!

bodyAs promised, I'm back to give my review of the Multicolored/Colorless Mythics&Rares in Rivals of Ixalan. Certain decks may value.

The backside makes me want to make a Deck that could utilize this bad boy with Ajani Vengeant and some relevant midrange threats with *vigilance* or *first Strike*.\n\n##### Journey to Eternity\nhttp://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/journeytoeternity.jpg http://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/atzalcaveofeternity.jpg\n- Probably (?) the best of the bunch. Interactions with a card like **Fulminator Mage** are just the start of its' utility.\n\n##### Storm the Vault\n- Similar to Path of Mettle in the sense, this one feels like it's being pulled in a few too many directions. I'll reserve judgement on this one due to possible combo applications, but it's close to being one of the \"limited ones\"\n\n##### Profane Procession\nhttp://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/profaneprocession1.jpg http://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/tomboftheduskrose1.jpg\n- Mardu superfriends... Mardu Midrange... Esper Control... Black/White Prison... the lists go on for Profane Procession. Drop this after a **tarmogoyf** on turn 3, a **Kitchen Finks** on turn 4, or a **Damnation** turn 5 and each time it'll feel great. The flip side has trememdous upside, and gives you another way to add threats to a board that might get stalled at some point.\n\n##### Protean Raider\nhttp://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/proteanraider1.jpg\n- Attack triggers are always awesome, and you don't even have to tip the opponent off to this before it's already too late for them to react outside of a counter. Clone effects are always great, and 3 mana is pretty slick!\n\n##### Siegehorn Ceratops\n-Holy Moly! Any sort of Ping effect is great with this, and gives you inevitability. Pyrohemia, this, Ripjaw Raptor, and TrapJaw Tyrant make me want to brew a Naya Dinohemia deck!\n\n##### The COMMANDER Ones\n- Azor, the Lawbringer\n-Elendra, the Dusk Rose\n- Zacama, Primal Calamity (Might need to make a commander deck now...)\n\n##### Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca\nhttp://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/kumenatyrantoforazca1.jpg\n- If it weren't for his fish-centric abilities, he'd be in the Commander Ones... But since it IS Merfolk, this gives him some playability there (along with the usual undercosting of him). Each of his three abilities are relevant in most cases, so even if you only have the first ability active he can do a bit of damage. Toolbox Merfolk? What could go wrong! We'll sure find out soon :')\n\n##### Angrath, the Flame-Chained\nhttp://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/angraththeflamechained1.jpg\n- 5 Mana really, really scares me off of him for his ability set, but he might be great if built around. His + is a slow but steady way to grinding out a win, and his - gives you reach and aggression. the only problem is that neither of them give him any protection! To even get to thinking about his ultimate, you NEED to protect him.\n\n##### Hautli, Radiant Champion\nhttp://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/huatliradiantchampion.jpg\n- Maybe the most Narrow walker there is, having to be in a heavy creature strategy to have any sort of explosive start. Board wipes and removal spells directly affect her in every aspect, which is something I usually don't want to see on a walker.\n\n## Colorless\n(no picture, booo!)\n\n##### The Limited/Commander Ones\n- The Immortal Sun (still cool tho)\n- Captain's Hook\n\n##### Silent Gravestone\nhttp://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/silentgravestone1.jpg\n- A 1 mana yard hoser that... Dredge can use to my understanding? (outside of Loam) the deck goes off with a hitch. The later ability also works as a way to dig for an answer when your yard isn't looking quite right.\n\n##### Golden Guardian\nhttp://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/goldenguardian1.jpg http://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/goldforgegarrison1.jpg\n- MUD in modern? If it wasn't a thing, it should be now! This guy is crazy being a 4/4 body, with a flip ability that is also relevant to the strategy. Adding TWO mana and making Golemns repeatedly is not to be overlooked!!!\n\n##### Awakened Amalgam\n- Power and Toughness equal to land NAMES? Well then. The exclusion of any evasion, hurts, but if one of your lands happens to be called **Kessig Wolf Run**, I don't think you'd mind very much about that!\n\n##### Azor's Gateway\nhttp://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/azorsgateway.jpg http://www.mythicspoiler.com/rix/cards/sanctumofthesun.jpg\n- Really, an impressive (but odd) card. Certain decks may value. Cyling cards is never a bad thing to be doing, and the potential payoff of a huge mana generator will be tempting for many decks to try and break.\n\n##### Arch of Orazca\n- I think the mana investment will be too annoying for any deck to try and put up with outside of Lands. And it could actually be sweet in a MODERN lands deck!\n\nThanks to anyone who read my review! Hope you guys like the reviews as much as I liked writing about it :) I may come back with a list for MODERN featuring some of the newer cards from this set. Stay tuned!\n\n I'll be back tomorrow with a review of *\"Shin Godzilla\"*, so I hope you guys will come check that out as well!",

bodyHey everyone! Jostling around ideas for this post, I was down to three things: A "Shin Godzilla" movie review, a set review of the Rivals of Ixalan Multicolored/Colorless rares&mythics, or a deck idea! I decided to go with a deck list, since I love breaking free of the metagame in exciting ways with my lists. As the post title suggests, we're going with Mono Black Pox! I used to play a Br variant splashing for Blood Moons and Terminates, but I decided to stick to mono color for consistency here. ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmUoTza8zYyRKqwnxJCWY9ppFmRFzyB7bRuPwADbkBZq9b/image.png) I made the deck on MTGSalvation's deckbuilder, which I highly recommend anyone to use! It's very simple and fast! http://www.mtgsalvation.com/decks/760-mono-black-pox # Overview This deck is designed to work off of low resources, while keeping your opponents low on resources whether they like it or not. Acting aggressive in the early game is very important, as you want to limit them to as few options as possible. Setting up a devastating Smallpox requires some work and insight, thinking about what you would like to allow them to have in hand AND on field for when you * get down with the sickness * (yeah, sorry about that). Keeping the resources low will allow your strategy to flourish, as the creatures have alternative methods of battlefield entry. ALWAYS attack with anything outside of Avatar of Woe, since they can't block! The life total is the most effective resource, so don't be afraid to start scraping the bottom of the barrel if it means inching closer to a well earned W. # The Decklist ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmZCjwQ7wQBi9f1vLtUhYUakDqQMzJVWZtFfgGrmr8sCfq/image.png) # Notable Card Choices **HORROR OF THE BROKEN LANDS:** Horror is used only as a filtering mechanic for the deck, as it's the next best thing to running 4 more copies of Street Wraith. Call to the Netherworld allows you to rebuy this one with its' *Madness* trigger, so you'd be able to get a second cycle in for good measure. **AVATAR OF WOE:** When running 8 cycle creatures and 7 more that basically live in the yard, Avatar of Woe can come online in almost every matchup. The tap ability will always be relevant, and the 6/5 body makes it a hefty foe for any deck to deal with. Casting Avatar, and playing a land the following turn can allow you to destroy a threatening blocker and crack in with some Bloodghasts **Nether Traitor:** Shadow creatures are always fun to play with, especially when they have *Haste*. Not only is the synergy with Bloodghast evident, Nether Traitor plays incredibly well with Ensnaring Bridge, allowing you to go in for chip damage even when you're fiddling around with a single card in your grip. **FOUR (!) Surgical Extraction:** Surgical has a ton of uses, my favorite of which being the classic *no-permanents-on-board fetchland* extraction. Seriously, target those Misties and Catacombs. Immediately! Screwing with a manabase can ruin anyone's gameplan, as mana is universal. If you can't pop off that spicy play, make sure to pull a relevant midgame threat out of their hand (or counterspell) with a discard spell. And what the heck, might as well use the Surgical on anything you pick out as well! Smallpox plays well with Surgical as well, allowing you to get rid of other lands such as any Urza's, or Celestial Columnade if you're lucky. **CALL TO THE NETHERWORLD** Is here for our nonrecurrable friends in this deck. It doesn't get much sweeter than pulling a felled Avatar of Woe from the graveyard for free (!) off of a Liliana discard trigger. The play of: Street Wraith cycle --> Liliana Discard, discarding Call ---> Cast, Targeting Street Wraith ---> cycle Wraith enemy EoT is a pretty incredible way to cycle your way into putting more and more pressure on your opponents' resources. # Early/Mid/Late Game # ##### Posted on MTGSalvation ##### ###### Early Game ###### Opening with a surgical extraction, discard spell, two lands, and a smallpox is the most explosive start in this deck regardless of the other two cards in hand. If you're on the draw, any fetch the opponent uses should be surgically removed ASAP. Like while they're searching for their shock, might as well get the other 3 Misty s out of there too buddy! Following with a Discard spell t1 is great, as it allows you to see what you're getting into the following turns. I leave them something to cast, to open themselves up more to the effects of the next turn's Smallpox. By this time, you have disrupted their mana base, their hand twice, and their land most importantly. All by turn 2! Dropping a few Cyclers or a Bloodghast into the yard on these turns will allow you to set up for the mid/late game as well. ###### Mid Game ###### By this point, you have hopefully drawn into more discard, another smallpox, cyclers, etc... but what you're really looking for turns 3-6 are a Liliana of the Veil, or the Ensnaring Bridge. Since the deck uses cyclers and not draw spells that gain you cards, your hand will be kept relatively low along with your opponents'. Ensnaring bridge won't let anything above 2 power through regularly, and Liliana of the Veil can be used after you cast anything juicy you peel off the top. Now your discard should be targeting relevant mid and late game threats, which you can pitch a Surgical on as well. Anything you feel threatened by at this point; don't risk it, and get rid of it. Planeswalkers are especially difficult to stop, so if you can get one of those exiled it will go a long way towards the W. ###### Late Game ###### Grinding out a victory with Bloodghasts and Nether Traitors is great fun in the late game, as you have quite an arsenal to clear the board and find answers. Avatar of Woe will become relevant past turn 5, as your cyclers and recurring creatures count towards her cost reduction as well. If you can get 2 or 3 creatures into their graveyard, you could see this big baddie out by turn 6 or 7. With a large body and a tap effect that gets rid of bigger threats for the rest of the guys to bust in some chip damage. Anyways, that's about all I had for now! I hope this was insightful, and I'd love to hear some feedback on the deck/archetype. Have any suggestions for later deck installments or other content? Shoot that my way as well! To anyone who made it this far, have a great day and you'll see me again tomorrow :)

"body": "Hey everyone! Jostling around ideas for this post, I was down to three things: A \"Shin Godzilla\" movie review, a set review of the Rivals of Ixalan Multicolored/Colorless rares&mythics, or a deck idea! I decided to go with a deck list, since I love breaking free of the metagame in exciting ways with my lists.\n\nAs the post title suggests, we're going with Mono Black Pox! I used to play a Br variant splashing for Blood Moons and Terminates, but I decided to stick to mono color for consistency here. \n\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmUoTza8zYyRKqwnxJCWY9ppFmRFzyB7bRuPwADbkBZq9b/image.png)\n\nI made the deck on MTGSalvation's deckbuilder, which I highly recommend anyone to use! It's very simple and fast!\nhttp://www.mtgsalvation.com/decks/760-mono-black-pox\n\n# Overview\nThis deck is designed to work off of low resources, while keeping your opponents low on resources whether they like it or not. The life total is the most effective resource, so don't be afraid to start scraping the bottom of the barrel if it means inching closer to a well earned W.\n\n# The Decklist \n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmZCjwQ7wQBi9f1vLtUhYUakDqQMzJVWZtFfgGrmr8sCfq/image.png)\n\n # Notable Card Choices\n**HORROR OF THE BROKEN LANDS:** Horror is used only as a filtering mechanic for the deck, as it's the next best thing to running 4 more copies of Street Wraith. Call to the Netherworld allows you to rebuy this one with its' *Madness* trigger, so you'd be able to get a second cycle in for good measure.\n**AVATAR OF WOE:** When running 8 cycle creatures and 7 more that basically live in the yard, Avatar of Woe can come online in almost every matchup. The tap ability will always be relevant, and the 6/5 body makes it a hefty foe for any deck to deal with. Casting Avatar, and playing a land the following turn can allow you to destroy a threatening blocker and crack in with some Bloodghasts\n**Nether Traitor:** Shadow creatures are always fun to play with, especially when they have *Haste*. Not only is the synergy with Bloodghast evident, Nether Traitor plays incredibly well with Ensnaring Bridge, allowing you to go in for chip damage even when you're fiddling around with a single card in your grip.\n**FOUR (!) Surgical Extraction:** Surgical has a ton of uses, my favorite of which being the classic *no-permanents-on-board fetchland* extraction. Smallpox plays well with Surgical as well, allowing you to get rid of other lands such as any Urza's, or Celestial Columnade if you're lucky.\n**CALL TO THE NETHERWORLD** Is here for our nonrecurrable friends in this deck. It doesn't get much sweeter than pulling a felled Avatar of Woe from the graveyard for free (!) off of a Liliana discard trigger. The play of: Street Wraith cycle --> Liliana Discard, discarding Call ---> Cast, Targeting Street Wraith ---> cycle Wraith enemy EoT is a pretty incredible way to cycle your way into putting more and more pressure on your opponents' resources.\n\n# Early/Mid/Late Game #\n##### Posted on MTGSalvation #####\n\n###### Early Game ######\n\nOpening with a surgical extraction, discard spell, two lands, and a smallpox is the most explosive start in this deck regardless of the other two cards in hand. bodyHey everyone! I know it's late and "technically" Sunday, but here I am! After trouble finding a workable stream and then using Sna- I mean highly advanced editing software, I was working on some pictures to add here as well. I'm gonna be working on italics, bolding, picture resizing and the like but for now bare with me please! Leave some formatting advice in the comments if ya can as well, it would be appreciated! https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CPRWDcDWUAA3QAW.png - First things first! I watched the stream High-Def on Crunchyroll (which I highly recommend) and pulled the images I used from a youtube video of lower quality. And again, this is a SPOILER review!!! The episode begins with a 30 or-so second preview of... the episode. Closing my eyes to avoid more spoilers, I waited to run into the minute or-so recap of LAST episode! Yay. Finally, the episode begins. We see U7 v U11 in a classic staredown: https://i.imgur.com/LXqVVbP.jpg ... And the staredown was a long one. While I appreciated the wind animation during this scene, it dragged on to DBZ-esque lengths. I had felt like this was pretty unneeded, but the buildup worked for nostalgia. https://i.imgur.com/YCVvkH4.jpg Goku Moving up to Jiren and going Blue was a really intense hype-builder, and you could start see the attention to animation (budget) that was put into the episode right around here: https://i.imgur.com/FvPLq64.jpg - Side note, why are 18 and Krillin not sitting by eachother? Odd little nitpick https://i.imgur.com/OOWUN9N.jpg Vegeta charging Jiren set the tone for the episode, zooming past Goku even after he saw him struggling against the Pride Trooper for a second time. We got to see some teamwork begin to form between Goku and Vegeta, which I loved seeing. Vegeta's skill as a warrior became relevant early on as he was able to see through Jiren's fist. https://i.imgur.com/B40DHyI.jpg While it was great to see Vegeta go full badass, he quickly was overwhelmed by Jiren. Within a few seconds, he was downed and blasted away. I always like how they portray Jiren as not only having next level strength, but speed that is near incomprehensible. Every punch means something, and he rarely misses his target. https://i.imgur.com/qHP2FUx.jpg With Vegeta's fate unknown, the rest of Universe 7 are getting into the fray as well. Frieza starts testing Dyspo, while Toppo is double teamed by Gohan and 17. Dyspo seems outmatched even by final form Frieza, but still has a chance due to his speed. Golden Frieza I believe, could make light work of him though. Toppo was in rare form this episode, shrugging off the attacks our two heroes threw his way. Toppo's character has grown on me and his screentime this episode didn't go to waste. https://i.imgur.com/ZGGCOj7.jpg Vegeta's pride really shouldn't be toyed with, Jiren! any time someone goes after this guy's pride, he always cranks it to 11. After charging his Final Flash (which Mr. Gray kindly allowed him to build up), Vegeta lets out his strongest beam attack to date. Jiren actually looked a little worried, which is a first for the series. Classic Dragon Ball smoke clears to reveal a downed Jiren, and here come's Begeta's calling card in the next scene. https://i.imgur.com/6HPIrgE.jpg loat in victory, get bodied moments later. While I normally would be angry about this... did anyone REALLY expect Vegeta to beat Jiren when Goku was so easliy handled in Ultra Instinct?! Jiren's new attack was incredible, and I'll only leave the picture of the Prince here to let you see it for yourself ;) Super attack for FighterZ when!!! Our first ep. of the new year comes to a close in a cliffhanger; will Vegeta be able to continue fighting after his pride AND his body being beaten down? Find out on the next episode of Dragon Ball Zuper https://i.imgur.com/B3hQr6O.png All in all, this was a great episode. Vegeta made it further than he should have against Jiren, and gave the episode relevance towards his character even if we knew what the outcome would be. - Story: 5/7 Dragon Balls - Animation: 6/7 Dragon Balls - Pacing: 4/7 Dragon Balls - Action: 7/7 Dragon Balls Overall score: 22/28 Dragon Balls. body![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmV1NNkTuTCSR9Qz3EgUBFoN24wChQN8TgSN7gR7kTPnNn/image.png) The Rivals of Ixalan full spoilers were revealed today, throwing a wrench in my plans of writing a last minute Dragon Ball Super episode 122 "Thoughts and Expectations" video. Instead, I'll most likely write a review tomorrow after I watch the episode that night. So, DISCLAIMER!: I'm not very big into Standard as a format, so my thoughts regarding that format may be shoddy. I usually look at the eternal formats, so I'll be focusing on their applications through that lens. I won't go into depth on cards that are mostly Limited viable, but if I like their design I may point them out. A visual Spoiler of the full set can be seen here at MythicSpoiler: http://www.mythicspoiler.com (Any card pictures in this post are also accredited to them) White! ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmRHisARBpXNxSGdDpwWQSPiA3z5boDHFQLMdcwJ3HPujj/image.png) The Limited stuff: - Bishop of Binding - sorry buddy, just you! Temple Altisaur - I don't have much faith in this card, but reducing any amount of damage dinos take to 1 sounds like it wins you combat AND makes enrage pretty silly. Sphinx's Decree - This is mostly a commander card with the "each player" clause, while the 2cmc and sorcery speed hold it back from most eternal formats I'd say. Silence just is better to me in any 1v1 formats. Slaughter the Strong ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmamD3UWyYHRFtAAnoH4aohTXnbpoc6erERnjBaDvAynTu/image.png) - Very strong against midrange decks, and even has game against control decks if their wincons have hexproof or shroud. Allows you to have versatility to sacrifice your creatures with less than 4 power, but also enables the opponents to do the same. Radiant Destiny - Ascend is still an iffy mechanic to me based on the requirement, but I can see the strength of this card for tribal strategies in standard, mostly. Double restrictions are usually difficult to pull off in Modern or Legacy Paladin of Atonement - This one is probably a house in standard, while its' viability in Modern/Legacy is iffy. Vampires have always been fringe, and splashing white may finally be something worthwhile due to this fella. Zetapla, Primal Dawn ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmcN4LLJEQQaCjv7zA6Y4GRVB3rppjxDuuwYbRMKopeN7k/image.png) - Ahhh, Keywords the Card. Will we ever get enough of you? I doubt it! While I do have a gripe with Legendary creatures just being a couple words and commas, I can't deny how powerful the big birdie's kit is. Reanimator target? Probably! Trapjaw Tyrant ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmasNpLkGcxSkko1VVw81NDazFJAuMEEBpR6KTbF9HmRDH/image.png) - I think this guy has real potential! Similar to Angel of Serenity, but 2 cmc cheaper. Enrage could even be the most abusable way to utilize exile effects, yet makes it "fair" without other effects in place. I haven't done a ton of digging, but there are many ways to ping this big guy multiple times upon entering the battlefield. Blue ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmaDqXp2s87rFNpAHf7kaRZzfLSAvJ63fWTvCLJEhncNe7/image.png) The Limited Ones: - Good Job, Blue! Warkite Marauder - Evasion is always powerful, and even more powerful is requiring two blockers to remove said evasive threat. The fact that their attack trigger can hit any creature the opponent controls makes him very powerful! Seafloor Oracle - Is probably too slow for a Fish deck in eternal, but in standard this is some great card advantage for Merfolk Kumena's Awakening - More expensive Howling mine isn't too bad, but with Ascend it becomes really strong. Might be used in Turns decks, but I really doubt it Induced Amnesia - This card is yelling "Build around me!". I don't think I will, but the applications are obvious for combo decks. Has some utility in black based decks potentially to address threats revealed by a discard spell. Release to the Wind ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmZ6E3YTa3ADpfnSyFJe52VQLiama87L6sSec7FTDsYAQg/image.png) - Delayed blink! The design idea on this spell is something I can really get behind as someone who loves cards like Thragtusk and Flickerwisp. Cards with Flash push this card to a much higher level of power as well. Crafty Cutpurse - Token decks everywhere are crying over this card. @ me if you can hear them! Admiral's Order - While I normally say Cancel variants are a no-no, the attack trigger clause on this could make it useful in some aggressive blue decks post board. Nezahal, Primal Tide ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmdobsJNag2TNUc9SgAwBvX5mu25LjSh7ePJpehWqC3PEg/image.png) - First off, that art! I do like the attempt at an interesting Aetherling variant, but not having flash or stronger evasion makes me turn my head. Timestream Navigator ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmY8AgwZqKiJ5WSiv1DSkTad1N93qwjZwM217zzc4UqD9X/image.png) - Where Kumena's Awakening falls short, Timestream Navigator makes the finish line with plenty of time to spare (haha). two mana is a low initial investment, and it's a hard sell to a player to keep removal in against a Time Walk deck. While the main could be risky, siding these in game two or three could give you gamechanging inevitability. Black ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmZiFqGpgG3A375NJGGzwLdXriFhuQci3HgHJRw7borScB/image.png) The Limited Stuff - Tomb Robber - Champion of Dusk (Yeah I said it) Vona's Hunger - Vona has a big appetite, as 10 permanents will be a tall order to fulfill for most strategies. Control will like this card for sure, but the relatively weak initial effect until you have the city's blessing might scare people away from this lady. Mastermind's Aqcuisition - Black Toolbox effects always get me thinking, and I can't think of a card more toolbox than this one right here. While the restrictive mana could become a problem, maybe this could finally give a card like Blood Funnel enough juice to get the job done on a consistent basis. Dire Fleet Poisoner ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmehAkxtS85FP767gAcC8qjdS8dkYrj8DxK8RzsDofKwee/image.png) - Hello, answer for wurmcoil tokens! Aggressive Mono B, RB, and Jund lists will probably utilize this card in formats to break through large midrange creatures in their way. Champion of Dusk - 5 Mana is too much for my liking, but a Vampire midrange deck might use this as a singleton to grind out victories against certain matchups. Tetzimoc, Primal Death ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmPB4qsPVypqaiQpiWnBoXueNL5qip2NgJeKPwxka2qZUS/image.png) - Deathtouch on a big creature makes me visibly ill. Looking at you Grave Titan! I actually love the reveal ability however, and not having a cast trigger on this dino makes him tempting to try and run a Jund Reanimator strategy in Modern. Twilight Prophet ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmcaXP9d83y1q3cLPrjWwRif8cvViUVCgxHhBJ6yrTntSU/image.png) Controversial: I hate this card. In decks that want this type of effect, the mana and ascend costs are too steep. For the decks that can afford the costs, do they really want a 2/4 for 4 that does nothing? I really doubt it. Red ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmWJhvHVyhaL7AWE6AkcPn56rSvqBi5t2vUdh8aL8Afsga/image.png) The Limited Ones: - Silverclad Ferocidons - Tilonhall's Summoner Form of the Dinosaur - I don't appreciate the tactless namegrab for recognition, but I think the effect itself is interesting enough to get brewers in modern thinking. Dire Fleet Daredevil - I wish First Strike was flash, but I'll take the combat utility any day. Working similar to a Snapcaster Mage, maybe this can be used against blue decks to burn some of their actual snapcaster targets before they get to use them! Brass's Bounty - Doubling your mana is never a bad thing, and this could actually be a pretty sweet way to gain the city's blessing. Could find a place in a strategy designed to abuse land untapping? Blood Sun - "You can copy me, just change it up so we don't get caught". Bravo, Wizards: you made a card that can be used ALONG with Blood Moon! Decks like Tron and Cavern Tribal will appreciate this a whole lot more than just about everyone else. Etali, Primal Storm ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmWcxa4eG2RyvaKGrwYpQPtFMzKDPAaTRM5Wy5EZ9Q7otU/image.png) - Huh. I'm not exacty sure how to evaluate this, but giving it haste would be pretty silly. Potentially two spells for free is a one way ticket to Crazytown, but the randomness makes me want to shy away. Rekindling Phoenix ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmai8ap2ZjBgAshvSD8BV4FBX6xgvNKhAAnKL8bntt2umY/image.png) - If this weren't Red's only mythic, I would have had it in the Limited Ones. I just think this is probably the weakest Phoenix I've seen printed since before 8th edition. Green ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmcdYakQLBrtbcYckSU21usFYBEWtiEN5gpNys8m92uBTM/image.png) The Limited Ones - Path of Discovery World Shaper - Die triggers can always be taken advantage of. Amulet of Vigor loves this! The trigger not having to be based off of lands milled by his attacks is what gives this a viable push. Wayward Swordtoooth - While this isn't Azusa, the dino has it's merits as well. The late game beater/blocker aspect of this makes me think the two can have a place in the same deck, as she helps accelerate the Ascend trigger. Tendershoot Dryad - EACH upkeep? Sign me up! this card is pretty self sufficient in getting the Ascend trigger off, and the saproling boost could end games quickly. Jadelight Ranger ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmaAY6qirLSsBHbU2C2dFDV6XjR5bYpTUh4hWz6jruXiEj/image.png) - Probably the best card for Fish in eternal formats in the set (Outside of Silvergill), this 3 drop packs a punch in value. Digging cards is always value, and the increased utility of adding counters once and filtering or twice on the same card is tempting. With a Lord of Atlantis or Master of the Pearl Trident online, this could be a 5/4 on turn 3. Scary!!! Deeproot Elite - Honestly, the biggest thing holding this Elite back is his CMC. Jostling around at 2 drop with most of the lords in the deck and Silvergill Adept isn't a very advantageous spot to be in. Putting counters on any merfolk may have enough staying power to be used in low numbers! Ghalta, Primal Hunger ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmPSMizsg2DLpBPMJBW8exiCY2XpLn3AwvbXeoETAMDyvj/image.png) GG for a 12/12 with trample seems pretty fitting, doesn't it? In Green Decks, the cost reduction will add up incredibly fast. Not being able to respond to the casting of Ghalta will leave many a Blue player sweat. Polyraptor ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmbpZ3WcfqSiYwyYPdqUjy3uhWFxDjZePx6NGuXCzVm7qy/image.png) - The card I want to toy with most in this set, Polyraptor's enrage trigger could end a game in one turn if not answered. Regisaur Alpha comes to mind right away, and the obvious inclusion in enrage strategies will make for an insanely powerful wincon. Certain strategies may see a use in reanimating or cheating this one into play early and take the game over there. Longwinded post! Most of my content will be shorter than this, but as a whole set is spoiled - it could be a bit of a drag. Tomorrow, I'll be posting a review of Dragon Ball Super ep. 122 and MAYBE a review of the lands, artifacts of the set. I'd appreciate anybody's thoughts on the cards as well, try to change my opinion!! Thanks for the read, and have a good one everybody!

"body": "![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmV1NNkTuTCSR9Qz3EgUBFoN24wChQN8TgSN7gR7kTPnNn/image.png)\n\nThe Rivals of Ixalan full spoilers were revealed today, throwing a wrench in my plans of writing a last minute Dragon Ball Super episode 122 \"Thoughts and Expectations\" video. \n\nA visual Spoiler of the full set can be seen here at MythicSpoiler: http://www.mythicspoiler.com \n(Any card pictures in this post are also accredited to them)\n\n White!\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmRHisARBpXNxSGdDpwWQSPiA3z5boDHFQLMdcwJ3HPujj/image.png)\n\nThe Limited stuff:\n - Bishop of Binding\n - sorry buddy, just you!\n\n Temple Altisaur\n- I don't have much faith in this card, but reducing any amount of damage dinos take to 1 sounds like it wins you combat AND makes enrage pretty silly.\n Sphinx's Decree\n- This is mostly a commander card with the \"each player\" clause, while the 2cmc and sorcery speed hold it back from most eternal formats I'd say. Silence just is better to me in any 1v1 formats.\n\nSlaughter the Strong\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmamD3UWyYHRFtAAnoH4aohTXnbpoc6erERnjBaDvAynTu/image.png)\n- Very strong against midrange decks, and even has game against control decks if their wincons have hexproof or shroud. Allows you to have versatility to sacrifice your creatures with less than 4 power, but also enables the opponents to do the same.\n\nRadiant Destiny\n- Ascend is still an iffy mechanic to me based on the requirement, but I can see the strength of this card for tribal strategies in standard, mostly. Double restrictions are usually difficult to pull off in Modern or Legacy\n\nPaladin of Atonement\n- This one is probably a house in standard, while its' viability in Modern/Legacy is iffy. Vampires have always been fringe, and splashing white may finally be something worthwhile due to this fella.\n\nZetapla, Primal Dawn\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmcN4LLJEQQaCjv7zA6Y4GRVB3rppjxDuuwYbRMKopeN7k/image.png)\n- Ahhh, Keywords the Card. Will we ever get enough of you? I doubt it! While I do have a gripe with Legendary creatures just being a couple words and commas, I can't deny how powerful the big birdie's kit is. Reanimator target? Probably!\n\nTrapjaw Tyrant\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmasNpLkGcxSkko1VVw81NDazFJAuMEEBpR6KTbF9HmRDH/image.png)\n- I think this guy has real potential! Similar to Angel of Serenity, but 2 cmc cheaper. Enrage could even be the most abusable way to utilize exile effects, yet makes it \"fair\" without other effects in place. I haven't done a ton of digging, but there are many ways to ping this big guy multiple times upon entering the battlefield.\n\n Blue\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmaDqXp2s87rFNpAHf7kaRZzfLSAvJ63fWTvCLJEhncNe7/image.png)\n\nThe Limited Ones:\n- Good Job, Blue!\n\nWarkite Marauder\n- Evasion is always powerful, and even more powerful is requiring two blockers to remove said evasive threat. The fact that their attack trigger can hit any creature the opponent controls makes him very powerful!\n\nSeafloor Oracle\n- Is probably too slow for a Fish deck in eternal, but in standard this is some great card advantage for Merfolk\n\nKumena's Awakening\n- More expensive Howling mine isn't too bad, but with Ascend it becomes really strong. Might be used in Turns decks, but I really doubt it\n\nInduced Amnesia\n- This card is yelling \"Build around me!\". I don't think I will, but the applications are obvious for combo decks. Has some utility in black based decks potentially to address threats revealed by a discard spell.\n\nRelease to the Wind\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmZ6E3YTa3ADpfnSyFJe52VQLiama87L6sSec7FTDsYAQg/image.png)\n- Delayed blink! The design idea on this spell is something I can really get behind as someone who loves cards like Thragtusk and Flickerwisp. Cards with Flash push this card to a much higher level of power as well.\n\nCrafty Cutpurse\n- Token decks everywhere are crying over this card. @ me if you can hear them!\n\nAdmiral's Order\n- While I normally say Cancel variants are a no-no, the attack trigger clause on this could make it useful in some aggressive blue decks post board.\n\nNezahal, Primal Tide\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmdobsJNag2TNUc9SgAwBvX5mu25LjSh7ePJpehWqC3PEg/image.png)\n- First off, that art! I do like the attempt at an interesting Aetherling variant, but not having flash or stronger evasion makes me turn my head.\n\nTimestream Navigator\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmY8AgwZqKiJ5WSiv1DSkTad1N93qwjZwM217zzc4UqD9X/image.png)\n- Where Kumena's Awakening falls short, Timestream Navigator makes the finish line with plenty of time to spare (haha). two mana is a low initial investment, and it's a hard sell to a player to keep removal in against a Time Walk deck. While the main could be risky, siding these in game two or three could give you gamechanging inevitability.\n\n Black\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmZiFqGpgG3A375NJGGzwLdXriFhuQci3HgHJRw7borScB/image.png)\n\nThe Limited Stuff\n- Tomb Robber\n- Champion of Dusk (Yeah I said it)\n\nVona's Hunger\n- Vona has a big appetite, as 10 permanents will be a tall order to fulfill for most strategies. Control will like this card for sure, but the relatively weak initial effect until you have the city's blessing might scare people away from this lady.\n\nMastermind's Aqcuisition\n- Black Toolbox effects always get me thinking, and I can't think of a card more toolbox than this one right here. While the restrictive mana could become a problem, maybe this could finally give a card like Blood Funnel enough juice to get the job done on a consistent basis.\n\nDire Fleet Poisoner\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmehAkxtS85FP767gAcC8qjdS8dkYrj8DxK8RzsDofKwee/image.png)\n- Hello, answer for wurmcoil tokens! Aggressive Mono B, RB, and Jund lists will probably utilize this card in formats to break through large midrange creatures in their way.\n\nChampion of Dusk\n- 5 Mana is too much for my liking, but a Vampire midrange deck might use this as a singleton to grind out victories against certain matchups.\n\nTetzimoc, Primal Death\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmPB4qsPVypqaiQpiWnBoXueNL5qip2NgJeKPwxka2qZUS/image.png)\n- Deathtouch on a big creature makes me visibly ill. Looking at you Grave Titan! I actually love the reveal ability however, and not having a cast trigger on this dino makes him tempting to try and run a Jund Reanimator strategy in Modern.\n\nTwilight Prophet\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmcaXP9d83y1q3cLPrjWwRif8cvViUVCgxHhBJ6yrTntSU/image.png)\nControversial: I hate this card. In decks that want this type of effect, the mana and ascend costs are too steep. For the decks that can afford the costs, do they really want a 2/4 for 4 that does nothing? I really doubt it.\n\n Red\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmWJhvHVyhaL7AWE6AkcPn56rSvqBi5t2vUdh8aL8Afsga/image.png)\n\nThe Limited Ones:\n- Silverclad Ferocidons\n- Tilonhall's Summoner\n\nForm of the Dinosaur\n- I don't appreciate the tactless namegrab for recognition, but I think the effect itself is interesting enough to get brewers in modern thinking.\n\nDire Fleet Daredevil\n- I wish First Strike was flash, but I'll take the combat utility any day. Working similar to a Snapcaster Mage, maybe this can be used against blue decks to burn some of their actual snapcaster targets before they get to use them!\n\nBrass's Bounty\n- Doubling your mana is never a bad thing, and this could actually be a pretty sweet way to gain the city's blessing. Could find a place in a strategy designed to abuse land untapping?\n\nBlood Sun\n- \"You can copy me, just change it up so we don't get caught\". Bravo, Wizards: you made a card that can be used ALONG with Blood Moon! Decks like Tron and Cavern Tribal will appreciate this a whole lot more than just about everyone else.\n\nEtali, Primal Storm\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmWcxa4eG2RyvaKGrwYpQPtFMzKDPAaTRM5Wy5EZ9Q7otU/image.png)\n- Huh. I'm not exacty sure how to evaluate this, but giving it haste would be pretty silly. Potentially two spells for free is a one way ticket to Crazytown, but the randomness makes me want to shy away.\n\nRekindling Phoenix\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmai8ap2ZjBgAshvSD8BV4FBX6xgvNKhAAnKL8bntt2umY/image.png)\n- If this weren't Red's only mythic, I would have had it in the Limited Ones. I just think this is probably the weakest Phoenix I've seen printed since before 8th edition.\n\n Green\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmcdYakQLBrtbcYckSU21usFYBEWtiEN5gpNys8m92uBTM/image.png)\n\nThe Limited Ones\n- Path of Discovery\n\nWorld Shaper\n- Die triggers can always be taken advantage of. Amulet of Vigor loves this! The trigger not having to be based off of lands milled by his attacks is what gives this a viable push.\n\nWayward Swordtoooth\n- While this isn't Azusa, the dino has it's merits as well. The late game beater/blocker aspect of this makes me think the two can have a place in the same deck, as she helps accelerate the Ascend trigger.\n\nTendershoot Dryad\n- EACH upkeep? Sign me up! this card is pretty self sufficient in getting the Ascend trigger off, and the saproling boost could end games quickly.\n\nJadelight Ranger\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmaAY6qirLSsBHbU2C2dFDV6XjR5bYpTUh4hWz6jruXiEj/image.png)\n- Probably the best card for Fish in eternal formats in the set (Outside of Silvergill), this 3 drop packs a punch in value. Digging cards is always value, and the increased utility of adding counters once and filtering or twice on the same card is tempting. With a Lord of Atlantis or Master of the Pearl Trident online, this could be a 5/4 on turn 3. Scary!!!\n\nDeeproot Elite\n- Honestly, the biggest thing holding this Elite back is his CMC. Jostling around at 2 drop with most of the lords in the deck and Silvergill Adept isn't a very advantageous spot to be in. Putting counters on any merfolk may have enough staying power to be used in low numbers!\n\nGhalta, Primal Hunger\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmPSMizsg2DLpBPMJBW8exiCY2XpLn3AwvbXeoETAMDyvj/image.png)\nGG for a 12/12 with trample seems pretty fitting, doesn't it? In Green Decks, the cost reduction will add up incredibly fast. Not being able to respond to the casting of Ghalta will leave many a Blue player sweat.\n\nPolyraptor\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmbpZ3WcfqSiYwyYPdqUjy3uhWFxDjZePx6NGuXCzVm7qy/image.png)\n- The card I want to toy with most in this set, Polyraptor's enrage trigger could end a game in one turn if not answered. Regisaur Alpha comes to mind right away, and the obvious inclusion in enrage strategies will make for an insanely powerful wincon. Certain strategies may see a use in reanimating or cheating this one into play early and take the game over there.\n\nLongwinded post! Thanks for the read, and have a good one everybody!",
