Their collection of Gaming peripherals such as Mouse, Monitors, Keyboard and Mouse Bungee. But their Mouse and Monitors have made a huge stamp in the eSports and gaming industry. The mouse being mostly used by the CS:GO pro players. Today, I'm going to share my experience owning one of the many models of the mouse. The Zowie EC2-A! (The whole series of the mouse line can be found Here)\n\n***\n\n<center><h1>Short Story Behind The Model Name</h1></center>\n\n<center><img src=\"https://i.imgur.com/VdpNVsd.png\" /><br/><em><a href=\"https://www.eslgaming.com/article/counter-strike-legend-emil-heaton-christensen-receive-first-esports-hall-fame-spot-esl-one-cologne-2972\">Source</a></em></center>\n\nAnyway, the mouse that I've got, the EC2-A, has a special history to it. The word *\"EC\"* are the initials of one of the founder of NiP CS:GO team, Emil \"***HeatoN***\" Christensen. Who was a pro player and team captain himself of the team NiP in the days of Counter Strike 1.5 and 1.6. HeatoN was one of the core contributor behind the development of the Zowie EC2-A thus, giving him the proper acknowledgement by having his initials on the mouse model itself.\n\n***\n\n<center><h1>Technical Specifications</h1></center>\n\n<center>https://i.imgur.com/ZtvgUt7.png</center>\n\n<center>https://i.imgur.com/d7TyHQJ.png</center>\n\n***\n\n<center><h1>Switching From A Regular Mouse to Zowie</h1></center>\n\nI've been using normal optical mouse since the day I can remember. Never once have I managed to get my hands on quality mouse be it for production or gaming. And playing games, especially CS:GO with a normal mouse for years, I've actually adapted to them. However, I've always wanted to step my game up. I know, people say, it's not going  to make me any good magically just by owning a higher end peripheral. But I also know some technical aspects do matter. And when it comes to competitive games like CS:GO, mouse sensors, mousepad tracking accuracy and monitor refresh rate does matter. Among all the great brands and models out there like Steelseries, Corsair, Logitech, etc, I decided to save up and get myself a Zowie mouse. They have different versions, low profile model, high profile model and the ergonomic design model which is the one I got. \n\nI have to say, it's been a crazy switch. At the beginning it was quite hard to adjust and adapt to the sensor. The EC2-A is equipped with the 3310 sensor *(the latest one is 3360)*. The tracking is really accurate. I can manage my muscle memory much better now. It allows me to have control of my movements without having to strain my hand as much. Landing the flick shots is much easier now. Snapping onto targets got super smooth and accurate. Overall, I managed to improve a lot with it. Knowing it's an investment, it's always a worry if it will be worth it no matter what is it that we're investing on. And the EC2-A is definitely a worthy investment in what I do and for taking gaming seriously. \n\n*Would I recommend this mouse for you?* **Of course!** If you have the extra buck, grab the EC2-B or EC1-B that has the 3360 sensor instead. If you're not comfortable with the right-handed ergonomic design, you can go for the FK or ZA series instead. However, don't take my word a 100&. One thing I've learned is that peripherals are extremely a subject of personal preference. Test out as many of them as you can, And choose the one that feel right for you. What works for me, might not work for you. But if you're like me, I can guarantee as a fact, the Zowie EC2-A will definitely improve your gaming experience! Thank you for reading! Until my next post! I have been playing Counter-Strike since I was 7 years old. Back then, Counter-Strike 1.5 was the big deal but the eSports industry was not as widely grown. When CS:GO came out in 2012, the industry blew real huge. Both the game and the industry had more opportunity to grow and expand. The scene allowed more and more gaming organizations to be formed and more teams started to emerge into the industry. \n<p>\n\nWatching the pro teams play in the leagues and tournaments on Twitch and YouTube, following each and every event, it was always my dream to at least attend to one of the LAN events for CS:GO to experience the environment myself. This dream is a hard one since most of these events are hardly organized in Malaysia, even if there was an event, it would be for Dota 2 most of the time, that's just plainly because Dota 2 is more popular here. \n<div class=\"pull-right\"><center><img src=\"https://i.imgur.com/4aUssaP.jpg\" /><br/><em><a href=\"https://www.tech-critter.com/rog-masters-2017-finals/\">Source</a></em></center></div>\nHowever, the dream came true when I was scrolling through Instagram and saw the year end ROG Masters 2017 was about to be held in Plenary Hall, KLCC, Malaysia, <em>(on the 9th and 10th of December 2017)</em>. Which is located less than 30 minutes away from where I live. It just got better when the entry for the event was free, finally the cherry on top of this cake was one of my favorite CS:GO pro team, Gambit <em>(who were also the major winners in 2017)</em> will be participating in the event as well. This was all just too much to miss out on. I know I'd regret it if I let this slide. \n\n## DAY 1 - Semifinals\n\nThe event lasted for 2 days in the hall, which was the semifinals on Saturday and the grand finals on Sunday. I knew I had to fully take advantage of this experience which I just may be getting once in my lifetime. Stepping into the first day, the semifinals. All I can say is I pinched myself almost every 5 minutes to make sure it wasn't a dream. The environment. The energy from all the fans. It was \"electrifying\"! I've never screamed that much supporting my favorite team. The first day ended with Gambit making it into the grand finals where they're going to face team Tyloo, a Chinese team. I was able to grab a picture with one of the player from Tyloo, Bondik, a Ukrainian player, playing for the Chinese team. He was also a former Hellraiser player where he's back in the team now leaving Tyloo. \n\n## DAY 2 - Grand Finals\n<center><img src=\"https://i.imgur.com/i7ZC5j1.jpg\" /><br/><em><a href=\"http://csgobetting.com/gambit-wrap-2017-style-rog-masters-win/\">Source</a></em></center></div>\nGambit versus Tyloo! The crowd was hyped, I was hyped. Everyone's cheering at the top of their lungs! The fans for both teams were equally loud. But the majority was on the side of Gambit, hoping and praying for them to win the finals. The finals was a best of 5 match which makes the whole situation intense. Every round, every kill, every close call got my heart pumping like crazy! The finals didn't need to look at the 4th and 5th map because Gambit won the finals with a clean 3 - 0 sweep and became the ROG Masters 2017 Champions! The moment they raised the title, I lost my voice. A satisfying event as fan of both the won team and the eSports. \n\n## SIGNING SESSION\n\nThe whole day was complete when the event had a signing session with Gambit. Words will be justify how I felt standing in front one my favorite pro players, shaking their hands and getting my t-shirt signed. It also a weird feeling. Watching them play on TV all the time and finally seeing them right in front of me. There's a huge difference to watching and feeling the intensity from home and to actually be in the event, among the loud fans and feeling the energy around.
