      "body": "![1_ug49EUIbMFUhJm9JmFOoOQ.jpeg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmVQY1MuTR15rZShHExuFqVo6mYPZCBiLAsxeiCjCExYh9/1_ug49EUIbMFUhJm9JmFOoOQ.jpeg)\n나는 꽤나 자주 ICO를 평가하는 방법이 있다면 알려달라는 질문을 받곤 한다. 사실 나도 종종 ICO 에 투자 하지만, 나는 이것을 ‘투자’라고 생각하지 않는다. 오히려 암호화폐 생태계를 더 좋은 곳으로 만드는데 일조할 수 있는 ‘크라우드펀딩’ 프로젝트에 펀딩한다고 생각하는 편이다. 그리고 나는 투자하는데 4T 라고 부르는 기준을 가지고 있는데 그것들이 바로 Tech, Timeline, Team 그리고 Token 이다.\n\n**Tech**\n\n\n기술이야말로 4T 중에서 가장 중요한 부분이다. 해당 프로젝트에 쓰인 기술을 평가하고 또 이 프로젝트가 가치있는 문제를 해결하는데 실질적인 도움을 줄 수 있는지 여부를 평가한다. 이것이 가치가 있는지 없는지의 여부는 일반 대중들이 특정 앱이나 서비스를 사용할지 말지 판단하는 것과 동일한 굉장히 간단한 기준으로 판단할 수 있다. 지금 쓰는 것 보다 더 빠른가?, 더 저렴한가?, 사용하는데 덜 어려운가? (혹은 기술적으로 더 진보되어 있는가? 탈중앙화 되어 있는가 혹은 폐쇄적인가?) 또 이 기술 분야의 시장이 성장하고 있는지 여부도 체크해보아야 한다. 만약 해당 기술의 분야가 성장하고 있지 않다면 나는 해당 프로젝트를 걸러내는 편이다.\n\n**Timeline**\n\n다음은 타임라인인데, “해당 프로젝트가 프로토타입을 가지고 있는가?” 혹은 “언제 프로토 타입이 나오는가?”, “언제 프로덕트가 출시되는가?”와 같은 질문들이 될 수 있다. 개인적으로 나는 프로토타입을 가지고 있지 않은 프로젝트에는 투자하지 않는다. 프로토타입 조차 없는 프로젝트를 기본적으로 냅킨 위에 적힌 비즈니스 아이디어와 동일한 수준이라 생각하기 때문이다.\n\n프로젝트의 전체 팀이 협동하여 목표를 달성해내는 것은 매우 중요하다. 대부분의 ICO 팀들은 실제로 프로젝트의 목표를 완수하기 위한 팀 보다 ICO를 성공적으로 마치기 위해 팀을 구성해놨다. 그래서 어떤 팀은 실제로 함께 일 한 경험을 가지고 있지 않을수도 있고, 실제 코드를 커밋한 경험이 없을 수도 있다. 프로토타입을 가지고 있다는 사실은 해당 팀이 함께한 최소한의 히스토리가 있다는 것을 일깨워 준다.\n\n**Team**\n\n나는 일반적으로 팀에 대해 조사할 때 링트인 프로필을 체크하는 편이다. 하지만 링트인은 한국이나 중국, 일본에서 넓게 쓰이지 않는다. 일본의 경우 페이스북이 비즈니스 연락을 위해 더 자주 쓰인다. 또 링트인은 아시아 국가의 언어로 최적화가 잘 되어 있는 편이 아니다. 또 내 개인적인 경험에 의하면 진짜 ‘락스타’들은 링트인을 사용하지 않는다 왜냐하면 리크루터들의 메시지에 파묻히기 십상이기 때문이다.\n\n팀 멤버 프로필에 있는 링트인 프로필을 클릭해보고 창업가들의 정보를 찾아본다. 그들이 창업한 회사에 대해 검색해 보거나 현재 팀원들이 과거에 함께 일했던 현재 팀원들을 검색해본다. 과거에 함께 일했던 팀원들이 아직도 같이 일하고 있다면 그것은 그들의 팀이 함께 잘 일 하고 있다는 증거라 생각한다. 그리고 페이스북이나 트위터 같은 소셜미디어를 체크해본다. 이 팀원들이 실제로 그들의 전략을 잘 실행할 수 있는지에 대한 작은 단서들을 제공해주기도 하기 때문이다.\n\n이런 전체적인 프로세스는 3~4일 정도가 소요된다.\n\n**Token**\n\n이 정보는 대게 해당 프로젝트의 백서에 쓰여있지만 백서에 정형화된 양식이 따로 없으므로, 약간의 조사가 필요할 수도 있다.\n\n“얼마나 많은 토큰을 발행하는가?”\n\n“얼마만큼의 토큰을 그들이 홀딩하는가? VS ICO 기간 동안 얼마 만큼의 양이 분배되는가?”\n\n“토큰은 어떤 용도로 사용되는가?”\n\n나는 ICO 프로젝트들이 실제로 토큰을 필요로 하는지 아닌지에 대해서는 관심을 갖지 않는다. 현실적인 기술 대안이 있음에도 불구하고 토큰을 만드는 것이 유리한 비즈니스 케이스가 있기 때문이다.\n\n자체 토큰을 가지고 있는다는 사실은 이더리움과 비교해서 네트워크의 가치를 일부 통제할 수 있게 해 준다. 당신의 사업이 잘 되고 있고, 미디어에서 이목을 끌고 있다면 당신의 토큰 가치는 이더리움의 가격이 횡보하고 있거나 하락세에 있음에도 불구하고 올라갈 수 있다.\n당신의 네트워크에 유동성을 공급하는 것이 필요한 경우, 자체 토큰을 통해 이것을 해결할 수 있다.\n애플이 흰색 에어버드를 통해 애플 유저들에게 ‘애플 힙스터’의 일원으로써의 소속감을 느끼게 한것 처럼, 자체 토큰을 통해 당신의 프로젝트의 팬들이 당신 프로젝트의 일부이자 팬심 깊은 힙스터가 되게 할 수 있다.\n에어드랍. 프로젝트를 지지하는 팬들에게 토큰을 에어드랍 함으로서 열정적인 팬들을 분간해 내고 또 그들에게 감사의 마음을 표현할 수 있다.\n“왜 자체 토큰이 필요한가요?”라고 묻는것은 우리는 달러, NEO 그리고 ETH도 가지고 있는데 왜 암호화폐가 필요한가요? 왜 우리는 2가지 흰색 빵이 필요한가요? 왜 우리는 31가지의 아이스크림 맛이 필요한가요? 라고 묻는것과 같다.
