      "body": "![download.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmQs1Jh2sWfkwxx4J611sR3B55g55KiHsiDJ2FfG5oywAh/download.jpg)\nBlack Power\n\n               In the history of African Americans in this country, there have been some tremendous movements and images that seem to capture the mood of the country and the black community at that time.  And this one phrase “black power” is without a doubt one of the most simple and elegant statements of pride and unity in the black community.  But it was also a phrase that came to represent the more violent and objectionable side of the struggle for equality in the black community.  And that makes it a controversial phrase then and now.\n\n                 Probably the greatest image of black power is the strong hand of a black man, clenched in a black glove and raised in the air in defiance and pride.  Never has that salute been used so perfectly as it was at the 1968 Olympics when Tommy Smith and John Carlos raised the black power fist complete with the black gloves as they received their medals for their performances at those Olympic Games.\n\n                The phrase “black power” was not coined in a march or riot as might be implied.  It was actually created by Robert Williams, the head of the NAACP in the early sixties.  But it really started becoming a “street term” when it was adopted by Makasa Dada and Stokely Carmichael, founders of The Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee which was the precursor to the famous Black Panther Party.\n\n                Sadly the black power movement became characterized by radical elements that went much further than seeking the goals of Martin Luther King and the rest of the civil rights movement’s leadership.  These radical elements sought black separation and social change by violent means.  And so in a time when there was tremendous turmoil in the country because of the violence in Vietnam and on the streets of America because of that social strife, The Black Panthers and other fringe groups sewed fear and hatred in response to racism which at times made it more difficult to achieve long-lasting change.\n\n               But there is good to be seen even in some of the darker elements of black history and the leadership who looked to find the best way forward for African Americans.  Sometimes it is necessary for the radical elements to make themselves known so reasonable members of a community can know the outer limits and find a compromise.  This was a value to the black power movement because it did charge the discussion, albeit with violence, and made the importance of reasonable Americans to come together to seek peaceful change all the more important.\n\n                  But there is another good that came from the black power movement.  Those images of the raised fist were images of pride and a willingness to stand up for the rights of black Americans.  They inspired a generation of young people to become more politically active, to stand up in their own world, and make that statement made famous by James Brown “Say it Loud.  I’m Black and I’m Proud.”  That pride is an important thing for young people to find.  They have to find it in their communities and in their heroes.  So if black youth took pride and courage to face their own circumstances from the bold stance of leaders who, albeit radically, said loud that black America was now going to be a force to be reckoned with, the resultant call to action to the black community produced many more positive effects than negative ones.  The fringe voice does speak what is in people’s hearts and by getting that anger and frustration out, it became part of the movement.  That energy could be captured and used for good instead of evil.  And the end result was a movement that was energized for change and to make life better for all of black America.  And that was what everybody wanted.",

While there are a number of benefits to using the internet to reach out to youths in need, as you are often able to reach more individuals, you should also know that there are a number of benefits to first focusing on your local community.  These benefits may include a reduction in violence or an increase in graduation rates or an increase in the number of students who attend college.\n\n             When looking to donate your time, your money, or other goods to a local Christian youth program, you may first want to examine all of your options. And while it’s true that Carver was credited with over 300 discoveries to find new uses for the common peanut, his innovations did not end there.  He continued his research to find important uses for other common agricultural products such as sweet potatoes, pecans, and soybeans.\n\nGeorge Washington Carver truly took the hands of his people where they were at the time and lead them forward to a better life.  And where the black community was in the nineteenth century was agriculture.  This was where a black family looked for their food, their living, and their opportunity to better themselves.  And that is what George Washington Carver made possible.\n\nHe was in every way a self-made man, setting out at a young age to attain a better education for himself, he set an example to all that education was the path to freedom for his people and for all people.  He truly had to struggle to achieve his success as he worked his way up through high school and then at Simpson College in Iowa where he was the first and only black student and then on to Iowa Agricultural College.  \n\nHis success at Iowa Agricultural College came from determination and his ability to use his natural genius to succeed against all odds.  But his breakthroughs were nothing short of revolutionary introducing such ideas as crop rotation to southern agriculture that revolutionized how farming could be done and gave his people the chance to become genuinely profitable in their daily work.\n\nAs he found success in his private career, he never used his discoveries to gather the wealth of fame for himself.  Instead, he wanted his work to benefit his people and all of mankind.  He was quoted as saying concerning his talents, \"God gave them to me.  How can I sell them to someone else?\"  \n\nThese were not just idle words that he spoke because he lived that philosophy evidenced by when he donated his life savings to start the Carver Research Foundation at Tuskegee to make sure that an institution existed to continue his important work in agriculture.  Small wonder that the fitting remembrance that was etched on his grave read “He could have added fortune to fame, but caring for neither, he found happiness and honor in being helpful to the world.\"\n\nThe legacy of George Washington Carver would be one that set the standard high for black leadership in decades to come.  It was a legacy of servant leadership, concern for his people, and making genuine contributions to improving what was really important, the living standard and well-being of all African Americans, not just the fortunate few. Below are a few of the most popular.\n\nSri Venkateshwara National Park extends over two districts of Chittoor and Cuddapah of Andhra Pradesh in an area of 353.62 sq. km. The park established in October 1989, is named after Lord Venkateshwara of Tirupati. It is located in Rajampet of Cuddapah district and Chandragiri and Bailapadu of Chittoor district. The hilly terrain bounded by Seshachalam and Tirumala hills is rugged and beautiful with gorges, steep slopes, plateaus, and valleys. The park is also famous for its beautiful waterfalls like Talakona, Gundalakona, and Gunjan.\n\nKaziranga National Park lies on the south bank of the Brahmaputra. The Park was established in 1908 and was declared a National Park in 1974.\n\nHemis High-Altitude National Park is the largest high-altitude reserve in India. Very close to Leh, in the area of Markha and Rumbak Valleys, the area, in general, is rocky and sparsely covered. The park comes under the district of Ladakh and represents the Trans-Himalayan ecosystem. The park was established in the year 1981 to preserve the dwindling population of wildlife in the Ladakh region with an area of 600 sq km. The park has been earmarked as one of the snow leopard reserves under a central government project to conserve the species, its prey population, and fragile mountain habitat. It takes its name from the world-famous Buddhist Gompa situated here. \nSunderban is located in the Ganga delta in West Bengal and was declared a National Park in 1984. It covers a vast stretch of mangrove swamp, lushly forested islands, and small rivers near the Bay of Bengal and comprises mainly estuarine mangrove forests and swamps. These organisms enter the human body through food articles or drinks.\nHow food poisoning occurs:\n1) Presence of bacteria in the water.\n2) The raw materials for the food may contain toxins.\n3) Premises, where the food is prepared, may contain microorganisms or toxins.\n4) Food handlers may have some infectious diseases.\n5) Some animals like dogs, and rats may contaminate the food.\n6) If prepared food is kept at room temperature for a long time and heated again can make a chance of food poisoning.\n7) Purposely somebody mixes toxins in the food.\nSome common bacterial food poisonings.\n1) Salmonella food poisoning:\nThere are three different varieties of salmonella bacteria.(salmonella typhimurium,salmonella cholera suis,salmonella enteritidis) These bacteria are present in milk, milk products and eggs. Symptoms of this food poisoning include nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. Fever is also common.\n2) Botulism:\nThis is a dangerous type of food poisoning caused by clostridium botulinum. The spores of these organisms are seen in the soil and enter the human body through pickles and canned fish etc. Compared to other food poisonings here vomiting and diarrhoea are rare Mainly the nervous system is affected. The symptoms start with double vision, numbness with weakness. Later there will be paralysis with cardiac and respiratory failure ending in death.\n3) Staphylococcal food poisoning:\nIt is caused by staphylococcus aureus. These organisms usually cause skin troubles like boils and eruptions. It causes mastitis in cows. The milk and milk products, enders and causes gastroenteritis. There will be vomiting, and abdominal cramps with diarrhoea.\n4) Clostridium food poisoning:\nThis is caused by closteridium perfringens.They are present in stool, soil and water. They enter the body through, meat, meat dishes and eggs etc. If food articles are cooked and kept at room temperature for a long time and heated again before eating can result in this food poisoning. Symptoms include vomiting, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.\n5) Bacillus cereus:\nThe spores of these organisms can survive cooking and cause enteritis. They rely on the number of recipients a viral marketing gets from one person in determining the amount or number of incentive they can be attributed with.\nUsing Viral Marketing to your advantage\nThe main and foremost advantage of viral marketing is that you get a lot of publicity and public awareness about your site and your company. You get to generate a flow of traffic that are potential customers. With a little ingenuity and imagination, plus some incentives or prizes, you can reach out to a great number of people and announce your existence.\nMost every site and companies are catching on to the effectivity of Viral Marketing and Advertising. Not using it could kill your business. Along with other schemes and methods in promoting your site, like Search Engine Optimization and such, viral marketing could easily push you ahead in the rating games.\nViral Marketing could be a sneaky way to get people to know about you and your company. You get them to pass your advertisement along. They are also very low cost that not investing in it could be downright a business suicide. All it takes is a great idea, a good addicting game, a funny story many ideas are still out there. Create a gossip or a buzz, many movies are promoted by using scandals and gossips to make them moiré popular. Remember the movie “The Blair Witch Project”?\nMany big companies have tried viral marketing and have had many success stories with it. A classic example is Microsoft’s Hotmail. They were the first known big company to utilize the scheme and it has worked wonders for them.\nNow it’s your turn to use viral marketing to work wonders for you.
