Then Ned sold Steemit Inc.’s ninjamined stake and everyone knows the story--our community’s blockchain is no longer decentralized. \n\nCommunity leaders have been working to resolve this in a positive way, but for now there is a stalemate. Therefore, even though Steemhouse chose to not move forward with a DAPP or front-end, we feel it is prudent at this time to step back from pursuing further integration with Steem and preserve our own brand. Our most likely course of action is to re-incorporate the publishing house with a different name and focus entirely on mainstream marketing. We want no association with Tron, directly or indirectly, as we feel it would be a detriment to our credibility as a legitimate company.\n\nIndividuals previously associated with Steemhouse may or may not continue to produce content for Steem, although we hope they will use Steempeak or another front end rather than Steemit. Their choices will be their own. However, we could never in good conscience ask anyone to produce content for a blockchain that is not decentralized, especially writers whose workproduct enjoys copyright protection in most nations of the world except China, where Justin Sun is based. Therefore Steemhouse activities on the blockchain will cease for the indefinite future, while our vision for accessible publishing and editing will continue via other channels.",

So after reading this and reading @carolkean's comments, it has given me a lot to think about it. \nFrom my own personal story as an aspiring writer, I found a home at the @freewritehouse that I will always be thankful for. I was so scared to share anything that I had written even in a house surrounded by friends, that when these strangers gave positive feedback...never about grammar or word choice, but how my writing made them *feel*, it slowly started making me less and less fearful. Which something I could never repay. \n\nNow with all that being said, I feel like Steemhouse Publishing serves such a different purpose that a comparison post or \"stance\" post isn't necessary. I mean that in a loving way. I know that, and I think any one else who would come into contact would quickly figure out, that Steemhouse is about publishing writers on a greater scale. \n\nI understand what you mean though. It frustrated me to no end when I was young and I would watch the drill team. I was studying dance 3 times a week, learning and perfecting a craft while they seemed to whipped and chucked the same steps without as much training. What I could see as potential, looked like it was being thrown away. It took me until I was adult to realize that it was never an \"either/or\" it was \"and/both\". They both have a place and it only depends what the individual wants. \n\nSo as Steemhouse continues to grow and do great things, I would only encourage, as a friend, to let things transpire organically. You and your team already know what they are looking for, and you'll continue to shape that out the more writers that come your way.",

That is our focus. We exist to find, nurture, and endorse talent that is commercially viable. However, writing can be fun for everyone, not just those interested in making a career out of it. Writing prompts can be a great way to find inspiration when the muses have been silent for a while. Eventually we intend to host contests with more ambitious goals in mind. But right now, let’s see how many different stories we can spin from a single image, and how many directions we can take them.\n\nIf fiction is your thing and you are serious about producing work capable of competing in the mainstream publishing industry, we hope you participate in this prompt as well.
