Well, screw that, I m writing about it.&nbsp;<a href=\"https://www.polygon.com/2018/10/4/17938208/megalo-box-anime-toonami-premiere-date-english-dub\">We can say it because it is getting a dub on Toonami</a>.</p>\n<p id=\"qG9TFo\">Before there was&nbsp;Hajime no Ippo, there was&nbsp;<a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashita_no_Joe\">Ashita no Joe</a>, the OG boxing series that remains one of the most iconic and beloved sports anime in the history of the medium. To mark the fiftieth anniversary of its initial publication, TMS Entertainment, producer of the second&nbsp;Joe&nbsp;anime, put together a new project:&nbsp;Megalo Box.</p>\n<p id=\"c68jhX\">The core concept is that in the near future&nbsp;<a href=\"https://www.greenhillsports.com/\">GreenHillSports</a> the most popular sport in the world is Megalo Boxing, which sees combatants outfitted in piston-laden harnesses called Gear that dramatically ramp up their punching power. As a result, they dont even bother with round limits; no Megalo Box fight has ever gone 12 rounds.</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://i.imgur.com/DphXwbY.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" /></p>\n<p id=\"FoHFcx\">Our fearless hero up there is Junk Dog an underground fighter making a living by regularly throwing fights despite his immense talent. His frustration boils over when a chance encounter with the worlds greatest fighter, Yuri, leads to a fight between the two in the underground arena, which sees Junk Dog flattened in the first round. Unbowed by the loss, he demands a rematch, only for Yuri to tell him to come to his ring: Megalonia, a four-man tournament to determine the true king of the sport.</p>\n<p id=\"TB3lU3\">Junk Dogs manager former coach and current opportunistic bastard Nanbu kiboshes the idea of Junk Dog going legit and fighting his way into Megalonia. In protest, Junk Dog crushes the next guy he was supposed to lose to, leaving him and Nanbu in hot water with the mob. Nanbu is forced to make a deal with boss Fujimaki: help Junk Dog get an ID and make it to Megalonia, then use the prize money to pay off their debt.</p>\n<p id=\"k7IvkK\">Junk Dog, now christened Joe, has three months to fight his way through the ranks alongside Nanbu and tech-savvy street urchin Sachio with only garbage-quality Gear, a heavy bag, and a ring.</p>\n<p id=\"mkzfyO\">What stands out immediately is that this show&nbsp;oozes&nbsp;with style. It deliberately invokes the visuals of 90s shows like&nbsp;Cowboy Bebop; Joe could easily be Spike Spiegel brother, while Yuri looks like he walked off the set of&nbsp;Cyborg 009.</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://i.imgur.com/HKdRnyY.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" /></p>\n<p id=\"O6i5c7\">Beyond the people, who are a nice mix of realistic and exaggerated features, and the terrific hip-hop soundtrack by&nbsp;<a href=\"https://go.redirectingat.com/?id=66960X1516590&amp;xs=1&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fsoundcloud.com%2Fmabanua\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Mabanua</a>, the backgrounds are downright gorgeous, constantly emphasizing the stark contrast between Joes native slums and the almost cyberpunk-esque cities that Yuri and his handler, Megalonia organizer and tech giant CEO Yukiko Shirato, call home.</p>\n<p><img style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" src=\"https://i.imgur.com/fPUiXrG.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"493\" height=\"439\" /></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://i.imgur.com/dJo7KQp.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" /></p>\n<p>I know what you are probably watching this for, though, and I can assure you that the fights themselves deliver. Beyond the core duo of Joe and Yuri, special note goes to Aragaki, a disabled war veteran who could easily be the protagonist of his own show, and Nanbu, whose struggles between his self-interest and desire to see Joe succeed drive the story major conflicts. There a recurring theme of the fable of the scorpion and the frog, of the futility of fighting against your own nature, and different characters each experience this in their own way.</p>\n<p id=\"oE8KIz\">There Joe, the nameless bottom-feeder in his cobbled-together Gear looking to topple a champion. There Yuri caught between his roles as a prizefighter and corporate spokesman. Its a genuinely gripping story although having every episode include some variation of the term die may have been a bit much Ashita no Joe&nbsp;famously ended with the titular Joe Yabuki dying in his corner after a ferocious battle with the previously invincible world champion, so having the potential of tragedy constantly dangling over your head as you watch can be a bit disconcerted.</p>\n<p id=\"98jKZR\">You can watch the whole series (subtitled) on&nbsp;<a href=\"https://www.crunchyroll.com/megalobox\">Crunchyroll</a>, or wait for the aforementioned dub to begin on December 8th. Either way,&nbsp;Megalo Box&nbsp;is an absolute treat for fans of the sport, fans of anime, or even those who just want something to binge.</p>\n</div>\n</article>\n</div>\n</div>\n</div>",

      "body": "<p><img style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" src=\"https://i.imgur.com/xL5GG3r.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"360\" /></p>\n<p>Former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Brock Lesnar is set to return to the Octagon in early 2019, for a much-rumored bout with current Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Cormier.</p>\n<p>However, after only one UFC fight in six years, a victory over Mark Hunt which was overturned to a No Contest after he tested positive for a banned substance, can Lesnar make a success of a UFC comeback?</p>\n<p>The short answer is yes.</p>\n<p>Lesnar holds an unspectacular 5-3-1 record in MMA on paper. But what that record does not take into account is the standard of his opposition.</p>\n<p>Four of Lesnar's five victories have come against MMA legends Heath Herring, Randy Couture, Frank Mir, and Shane Carwin. This man didn't start at the bottom - he began competing in MMA at the very top.</p>\n<p>Lesnar, a former NCAA Division One amateur wrestling champion is an expert wrestler, with superb take-down and grappling skills.</p>\n<p>Lesnar's massive frame contributes to his superb striking power which makes him equally devastating standing up as he is on the ground.</p>\n<p>Lesnar also has an impressive chin which means he is not easy to knock out. Had lady luck been on his side, Lesnar could have been the greatest UFC Heavyweight Champion in history.</p>\n<p><img style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" src=\"https://i.imgur.com/sSjDHNj.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"653\" height=\"435\" /></p>\n<p><br />Lesnar was the UFC Heavyweight Champion when he was first diagnosed with diverticulitis, following his win over Frank Mir at UFC 100.</p>\n<p>The intestinal disorder led to Lesnar undergoing surgery in November 2009 after a perforation in his intestine led to fecal matter leaking into his abdomen.</p>\n<p>Lesnar returned to the Octagon to defeat Carwin to unify his Heavyweight Championship with the interim version held by his opponent.</p>\n<p>It was clear Lesnar was not the same fighter. He struggled in the bout under an onslaught of Carwin punches in the first round, narrowly surviving being knocked out, before his superior cardiovascular conditioning enabled him to submit Carwin in the second.</p>\n<p>Lesnar didn't fare as well in his next title defense versus Cain Velasquez at UFC 121. Velasquez devastated the Champion with superior hitting for a comprehensive knockout victory.</p>\n<p><img style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" src=\"https://i.imgur.com/hd6jUJO.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"618\" height=\"410\" /></p>\n<p><br />Following his title loss, Lesnar underwent surgery once more in May 2011 after suffering from a second bout of diverticulitis.</p>\n<p>When he returned for a fight against the veteran, Alistair Overeem, Lesnar was a shadow of the performer he once was and again went down in convincing fashion.</p>\n<p>Lesnar soon returned to WWE in April 2012, with his MMA dream in tatters due to his failing health.</p>\n<p>However, after several years on the part-time WWE schedule, Lesnar in a complete surprise was announced as a participant in UFC 200 which took place on July 9, 2016.</p>\n<p>Lesnar faced off with veteran heavy-hitter, Hunt and impressively unloaded with 43 ground strikes, a then-record on his way to a unanimous points victory. Lesnar moved freely and displayed all the incredible skills which made him such a formidable force during his UFC prime.</p>\n<p>Unfortunately, no-one remembers that performance fondly, given that Lesnar failed a drugs test and was suspended from competition for 12 months. His suspension was paused when Lesnar announced his retirement from UFC.</p>\n<p>Now, over two years later and Lesnar is set to compete again. Seemingly clean from any banned substances, Lesnar's next encounter will be a great test to see if his health issues are truly behind him and if we can turn the clock back with a strong performance.</p>\n<p>Lesnar still has all the tools - it his now his advancing age (he turned 41 in July) against him and his lack of fighting experience in the past half decade.</p>\n<p>However, at his peak, there are very few that can compare with his considerable, all round, fighting skills.</p>\n<p>Lesnar is that good. In 2019, he will hope to prove it one more time.
